101  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Ok so, since I am a US citizen, how do I get other coins without my info? on: April 24, 2021, 04:50:38 PM
I wouldn't risk it if I were you, if they'll be offering an ICO where they won't be requiring any kind of KYC you must be concerned about it as their ICO might not be running legally under SEC regulations. I remembered how Telegram was penalized by offering their GRAM tokens without the proper requirements and they ended up with penalties as well as giving back their investors money. If this kind of regulation is how the US plays I think you should just stick to the ICOs that is being offered by crypto exchanges that are operating legally in the US.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: Former Employees From Major South Korean Firms Quit Their Jobs After Pocketing M on: April 24, 2021, 03:58:52 PM
From roughly $45,000 worth of investment I could say that he might not have "invested" in a crypto but rather traded it on a frequent basis not unless he have bought a cryptocurrency for such a crazy low price I don't see him profiting around $36 Million Dollars or he might have more capital than that. Nonetheless South Koreans are known for their high risk appetite and I could see him profiting in daily trades that is why he reached to that level. Hopefully other South Koreans would have the same fate as what he had as this might affect their economy as a whole if everyone suddenly have a negative portfolio.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 24, 2021, 02:48:35 PM
Ibra is still out for a few weeks and Milan have another tough game against Lazio away this time. As Lazio got a huge defeat by Napoli (5-2), I wonder if they will manage to gather themselves up quickly or not. Milan might make use of this chance and make up for the Sassuolo loss. I expect goals from each side.

Milan had won the last 2 games against Lazio so I think they are well familiarized with Lazio's playing style. Also Milan will be coming off on a tough lost against Sassuolo and they might take things back on this game as the 2nd spot for the table is literally in the line on the rest of their remaining league games after the game against Benevento Milan will be facing off against Juventus so they really need to win their next 2 games if they want to maintain the position they are in.
104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: any opinions about the recent btc price crash? on: April 24, 2021, 02:09:35 PM
If we look at its chart you will see that ever since Bitcoin has taken off you will see that its volume isn't really supporting the price rally making its "bullishness" a lot weaker. I've said this before that without any kind of increasing volume there will be no support for any kind of price range specially if it continues to go up and up without any volume supporting it, every new ATH will just make it weaker and weaker and making Bitcoin more susceptible to price crashes and corrections that is why we are seeing a lot of them lately.
105  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Sidechains on: April 23, 2021, 08:24:22 PM
I don't think Bitcoin has its own sidechain except from its one and only blockchain because other than that you have different sources in which Bitcoin is transacted like Lightning Network for example is run as off-chain transactions that is why it is not recorded in the blockchain. If we are talking about hardfork coins comming from Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash has its own blockchain. Bitcoin in the first place doesn't really have any tokens unlike Ethereum so you wouldn't really expect them to have sidechains of their own.
106  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: wavel.io - Cryptocurrency Alerting Tool on: April 23, 2021, 04:14:47 PM
What you are offering is awfully similar to what Blockfolio and other monitoring apps have been already offering in the past so what do you offer new when it comes to your app? Mostly people who already have an app similar as yours won't be trying or dowloading another app if they don't have a new feature that others don't have so I think you must focus on having that feature in which it will differentiate you from other price tracking apps that already exists in the app stores.
107  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-21] Governments can stop Bitcoin by shutting down mining, says Electric on: April 23, 2021, 11:23:45 AM
Since when did the United States and Kazakhstan hold 90% of the total hash rate of Bitcoin mining? As far as I know they were even nowhere near what China is producing so this news is very misleading. However if you asked me if China will do this thing I believe that it still won't "stop" Bitcoin as basing it from the past news Chinese miners have their intentions to move out from China any time this happen to their country and I think other countries will welcome Chinese miners to their country. This will be a huge loss for the country who will be considering a ban as they will be losing a growing industry instead of taking advantage of it.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I die can someone achieve my btc. on: April 22, 2021, 03:56:56 PM
For custodial wallets they have a process when it comes to an account owner dying while they still have cryptocurrencies in their account. Here is the page for Coinbase talking about the transfer of assets to your kin.

Furthermore they will need this which will be similar to other custodial wallets.

When you contact us, we will ask for the following documents:

-Death Certificate
-Last Will and Testament - AND/OR - Probate Documents (either Probate, Letters Testamentary, Letters of Administration, Affidavit for Collection or Small Estate Affidavit)
-Current, valid government-issued photo identification of the person(s) named in the Letters Issued
-A letter signed by the person(s) named in the Probate Documents instructing Coinbase on what to do with the balance of the Coinbase account

For hardware/desktop wallets I think you should prepare earlier with a will and testament instructing your lawyer about where your wife will access your private keys and an instruction on how to recover them of course it will be easier if your family will be familiar with Bitcoin wallets so I think it is better if you have instructed them earlier on.
109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish or Bearish? on: April 22, 2021, 02:58:08 PM
Looking at the chart OP gave us it may seem like that Bitcoin is on a bearish cycle since it is going down but being aware of the chart of Bitcoin I know for a fact that this chart has a shorter time frame meaning it might be a 1 hour chart or less and these types of charts aren't really used to determine if an asset is bullish or not but rather just determine short term movements. Looking at the daily chart right now you will see that Bitcoin isn't really going down but is still consolidating which I think is considered good for us hodlers.
110  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: pursuing legal matters with certain coin on: April 22, 2021, 02:31:03 PM
If we are talking about Binance here I think they already have a physical US address and it is located in San Francisco, California. Remember that they already have pulled out from the US before since they aren't properly registered to operate in the US but now they are. Also I don't know the full story here and I think you must state the reason why your account got locked in the first place so we know why you are pursuing a lawsuit against them. With regards to filing a lawsuit you must find people who have the same experience as what you are having before finding a lawyer as the more you are affected the more they will be responding to what has happened to your case.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: Bangladesh Bank will not leave any digital currency in the market on: April 21, 2021, 08:30:57 PM
Bangladesh is a big country I don't know why it went under the radar but maybe it's not similar to India where it became popular before any kind of regulation that is why there is no opposition against any ban which makes it harder for any kind of reversals with their decision. In this kinds of matter your only hope is for your own government to realize what opportunity they are missing with the ban for the crypto industry, it might be a long process but this is the only thing I see a change would happen.

In Bangladesh, 40% transaction is done regularly by using electronic money method. So there has a demand of using electronic system and people are enjoying it. But there has no plan of implementation of digital currency here.

Even if a big portion of the transactions happening in your country is through electronic means it doesn't necessarily mean that there is a demand for another payment, like what you have said there is already 40% of your transactions being completed through electronic means so there is already an existing way your fellow citizens are using through that method. Even if they legalized crypto it won't be that fast enough to be implemented and accepted as a payment just like what is happening to other countries where crypto is legal.
112  Other / Off-topic / Re: ⚽ The European Super League ( ESL) on: April 21, 2021, 03:49:45 PM
According to the news 9 out of the 12 teams who joined the ESL have withdrawn from the league leaving only Barcelona, Juventus, and Real Madrid still part of the team. I'm guessing that they realized with all the negative press they are getting as well as their own fans being angry about it they won't be gaining any kind of revenue if nobody will be watching and supporting their games. Since from the start they have a lose-lose situation here without any kind of notice and a totally opposite direction from the football we love this is something that these clubs can't be handling.
113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody to help me? on: April 21, 2021, 01:26:05 PM
One of the biggest thing that I don't like on these kinds of services where you will entrust your money to "pro-traders" is they won't be having any kind of liability when they commit a loss with your money. This is something that is really risky when it comes to entrusting your money to others even if they are pro on the field as there is no guarantee that you will have a profit. Besides that they can be careless with your own money just to test out some new trading strategy or something that is why copy-trading or pooled funds is not my cup of tea.
114  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pahinge ng Payo tungkol sa Conversion ng Bitcoin to Philippine Peso (Large Sums) on: April 21, 2021, 06:49:58 AM
I would probably deal with someone na kasama ko sa isang crypto group. Mukhang legit naman at recommended even by the group founder. She can accomodate Php1 Million daily (or more pa ata).

If ang problem is ung limits: probably spread out ung selling on multiple exchanges like Coins.ph, Abra, BloomX, etc.

If ang problem is privacy: no choice talaga but to sell pakonti konti using multiple exchanges(better if P2P), and spread to multiple banks para hindi malakihan ang nawiwithdraw.

What if privacy isn't a concern? What are the best options na nagawa mo na? Are localbitcoin buyers trusted?

115  Local / Pilipinas / Pahinge ng Payo tungkol sa Conversion ng Bitcoin to Philippine Peso (Large Sums) on: April 20, 2021, 06:30:05 PM
I'm intending to convert some of my Bitcoin sa ating Philippine Peso and usually ang ginagawa ko lang madalas is through Coins.ph App to my Bank Account and ang current limit ko lang is ₱400,000 dahil na rin na kailangan pang i-convert ang BTC to PHP at hindi sapat ito. Pwede ko rin naman mag-request ng custom level pero pangit rin ang rates ng Coins.ph kaya naghahanap ako ng ibang way para mag-liquidate ng Bitcoin. Other options I see is localbitcoins pero wala pa akong masyadong experience dito involving large quantities of Bitcoin (sharing your experience would be greatly appreciated).

Thread Rule: please post accordingly by your own personal experience Smiley
116  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: onionX - Crypto Shoppingcart Solution written in PHP with Remote, Private Nodes on: April 20, 2021, 04:10:37 PM
I'm not sure who is your target here yet but I don't think most site owners are targeting or mainly focus on the privacy part of the Bitcoin payments nor they are interested in running their own node. Most of the inquiries I have seen so far coming from website owners are the ones who are looking for payment gateways where they can implement Bitcoin payments easily for their website such as Coinbase Commersce or Bitpay, the ones who are interested more in running their own node resort to the likes of BTCpay and I think they already have a good solution to what you are currently offering.
117  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-04-19 TIME Magazine to Accept Crypto for Subscriptions on: April 20, 2021, 02:45:46 PM
They might just be widening their coverage for several payment methods in order to have more customers for their subscriptions for their magazines. I can see this as more of a businesses move rather than a trust in the crypto itself since we all know that paper type information/entertainment is slowly dying (e.g. newspaper and magazines) I can see that they are just adjusting to several ways in which they can accept more payments and grow their money by holding the crypto itself. Nonetheless this is a good opportunity for Bitcoin as maybe other companies within the same industry will follow with what they are doing.
118  Other / Off-topic / Re: SUPERLEAGUE discussion thread on: April 20, 2021, 01:34:54 PM
We don't have all the facts yet and both sides are saying opposite things from each other. FIFA and UEFA is saying that the can ban all the players from playing their sanctioned events including their own domestic league and the world cup while the Super League is saying that they don't have the power to do such thing. Overall most of their fans are enraged with what they did as most of them think that they are all about the money choosing a competition where there is no relegation and they have guaranteed spots just for being a founding member. Other than that they did this Super League agreement without any kind of coordination with FIFA and their own league making them look like there are here just to surprised everyone.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 19, 2021, 01:29:04 PM
Breaking News: PREMIER LEAGUE, SERIE A, LA LIGA CLUBS AGREE TO FORMATION OF SUPER LEAGUE

I'm quite surprise to see that the Serie A league is quiet about the formation of the European Super League when literally the top clubs of Serie A will be parting ways with their own league just to be part of the European League. Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter has been part of the secret talks with other European clubs to become the founder of the this league. I don't know what to feel about this one but all our hopes about the Champions League with out favorite Italian teams seems to be impossible now as they are competing with UEFA now at least that is how they view things.

"As previously announced by FIFA and the six Federations, the clubs concerned will be banned from playing in any other competition at domestic, European or world level, and their players could be denied the opportunity to represent their national teams."

All of this sanctions just for them to have more revenue. Sad
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is falling down. Is it the end for it? on: April 18, 2021, 09:06:21 PM
Well it is a nice wake up call for them that Bitcoin is not intended to go in only one direction. For people who were shocked that Bitcoin has dropped in price this should serve that being over confident about Bitcoin might give them serious losses. As for Bitcoin's rally being over I don't think we can speak about it with any assurances as we haven't really seen Bitcoin testing any major supports lately and its drop from $64,000 to $55,000 is something that is still part of its consolidating levels so we don't know for sure if Bitcoin will go up or down from this price point.
