61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 05, 2021, 03:24:35 PM
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/gossip

According to today's news, Manchester Utd are preparing to make a £90m offer for Tottenham's great striker Harry Kane. Their goal here is quelling the recent fan unrest due to their getting angry with their team attempting to join the European Super League.

Or they are just spreading out rumors so they can help forget what the owners did with them attempting to league their own domestic league? They can do everything they want but the damage is already done and I think it will take a long time for these fans to start forgiving their own clubs for what they have attempted to do. Good news like big transfers and an improvement of the season is something that will help them but the fans won't forget that they are all in it for the money.
62  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Halving, Another ATH on: May 05, 2021, 02:14:02 PM
Bitcoin's halving is one of the most linked up events on why Bitcoin's price is going up but for me I don't see any connection as all. In your scenario where Bitcoin only moved up because of last year's halving the truth is Bitcoin alread had a reversal as early a year before the halving date and it just shows that it is more of a market cycle rather than historical data pointing out that Bitcoin will be move in this way again and again. Simply the halving really doesn't affect the demand and supply of Bitcoin as the value of it depends entirely on the demand for the existing circulating supply on exchanges it doesn't even make Bitcoin "scarce" at all as the total supply doesn't change on the block reward.
63  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] PancakeSwap fake airdrop website... on: May 04, 2021, 09:12:26 PM
The scammer's Twitter account is dangerous and can easily fool a lot of newbies in the crypto market. The account is constantly retweeting the official account of PancakeSwap constantly trying to affiliate itself to the official one which could easily fool a lot of people besides that the account it set that the only ones who can reply to its tweet to the ones he mentioned probably preventing people to say that this is a scam. The best thing you can do now is to contact PancakeSwap itself so they can be aware of the situation and warn their investors on their official account.
64  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking to expand my team on: May 04, 2021, 06:10:03 PM
If you still haven't find the right person you can try and look for developers and a marketing specialist for the crypto industry in a freelancing website and I think it is much better as you can filter them out according to your need. You can even see which past projects they have been as well as there other qualifications.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Charlie Munger hating on bitcoin on: May 04, 2021, 03:23:48 PM
I don't think Charlie Munger is the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway since that is the role of Warren Buffet also Charlie Munger won't be having a different view on Bitcoin or at least be far away with the opinions that have been expressed by Warren Buffet in the past since he is technically working under him. Simply a clash of opinion for the both of them will just be ugly in a lot of ways after all Warren Buffet won't be wanting to have his right-hand man having different views on the same matter.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum giving bitcoin a hard chase on: May 04, 2021, 01:24:34 PM
There is nothing to worry about the whole situation where Bitcoin is losing market dominance it is to because it is to be expected as a crypto market exists. It is only natural to see that investors will start to look for other opportunities in the market where they have more room for growth and price appreciation. Also the decrease in market dominance doesn't mean its the end for Bitcoin's value as well as it is still the market leader and is more known that companies are even buying their own Bitcoin as well as implementing it as their investment product.
67  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Thailand to introduce in-person KYC for crypto exchanges on: May 03, 2021, 04:48:36 PM
Wouldn't be a surprised at all to see countries being strict about their crypto industry. With them having this kind of dip-chip model it just gives their government more assurance that only real people are submitting their KYC and people will have a hard time fabricating fake identities when they need to submit their KYC documents in-person. A lot of people may call it crazy but some countries don't even allow online KYC submission for opening stock market accounts or other financial markets so I think it is safe to say that they are just applying or covering everything for AML compliance.
68  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-04-26 NYP - I took hallucinogenic mushrooms and made billions off Bitcoin on: May 02, 2021, 09:04:24 PM
I literally just searched "christian angermayer mushrooms" and I've seen a bunch of articles related more on the mushroom rather than Bitcoin itself. This guy is basically trying to commercialize psychedelic drugs through one of his companies. Reading the article on him about Bitcoin and mushrooms confirm what I suspect that it was his time thinking while under the influence of the mushroom that made him invest in Bitcoin. His other interviews about his company he always takes credit on him having a trip with mushrooms for me he could just be promoting mushrooms as he will soon have a product from it.

The experience was revelatory. During that moment of profound self-insight and ego-quieting, Angermayer claimed he “finally understood bitcoin.”
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading or Bounty Which is profitable?? on: May 02, 2021, 08:04:44 PM
Bounty campaigns for me is similar to "trading" in a sense that if you want to earn more from the crypto/token you have earned you must hodl or trade it to see its price appreciate but the sad thing about this one is not all cryptocurrencies can go up in value and a lot of them can just be a pump and dump coin leaving the bounty participant almost earning nothing. There are also cases where the project itself doesn't pay the participants by the end of the campaign which will be a waste of time for you. For me if you have the capital to trade and you have an experience in trading through your earnings from the bounty campaign I would recommend you to start trading instead.
70  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Challenging a ban on crypto through Writ/PIL on: May 02, 2021, 07:07:54 PM
The hard thing about pursuing a legal remedy for a reversal on a ban in cryptocurrencies is they always find a way to overturn things as well as the citizens being faced by the government where they can have the best lawyers depending the law they have created. Just like what the RBI did regarding the Supreme Courts ruling about them prohibiting banks to not entertain crypto related transactions they still manage to find a way on creating a ban for the whole crypto industry. That is why for me legal remedies when it comes to bans like this has a slim chance of happening and for me the best thing to do is to wait and hope that their own government change their minds about this things. Biggest example here is why Marijuana even though it has been proven scientifically that it isn't harmful is still illegal in a lot of countries while we know that there are several groups in that country opposing their laws about it.
71  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: iranian governement and cyber police thinks that i am thief! on: May 02, 2021, 06:10:15 PM
The best thing you can do if you don't want any kind of criminal prosecution is you need to prove that you have bought the cryptocurrencies you have received in good faith in which you will need to return the "stolen" cryptocurrencies to its rightful owner. I don't know how your law works in Iran but stolen goods that have been bought unknowingly has still the right to be returned to the original owner. For me you really don't need to dive in deeper about crypto laws as this is a matter about stolen goods/property which can still be counted in cryptocurrencies.
72  Economy / Economics / Re: The Modern Mode of Payments on: May 02, 2021, 05:08:57 PM
The emergence of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in this pandemic situation is not for it being as a mode of payment but rather as a form of investment and this is obvious basing it from the news we have seen from big companies buying their own Bitcoin from their cash reserves and institutional investors putting it as one of their investment products. Why can't cryptocurrencies emerge as an alternative mode of payment? Because other mass uses mode of payments already exists as well as crypto having a huge upside for price appreciation that is why it has stalled the mass adoption we are looking for as they have seen crypto not as a form of payment but as an investment.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 02, 2021, 03:43:50 PM
Inter basically won the title Today.
The rest of the Seria will be fun to know which teams will go in the Champions league next year, it will 2 spots for 4 teams.

juve
lazio
milan
napoli

Inter and Atalanta basically already in.

Yeah basically Atalanta even though they are matched with AC Milan in points I consider them to take the 2nd spot for the UCL already given that they have one of the easiest schedules with the remaining games they have. Milan and Juventus on the other hand will be facing each other during the 10th of May and there next match after that Juventus will be facing Inter so Juventus will have a hard time catching up points. Lazio and Napoli as well have no sure wins for the rest of their matches so these 4 teams will have a hard time getting those 2 remaining spots.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your bet? how many years could bitcoin go to its highest? on: May 02, 2021, 02:26:29 PM
Given that Bitcoin's and the crypto market's last bear market lasted for 18 months I would say that we can go twice that number depending on how sharp we will fall from out ATH a massive correction from this kind of amount won't be recovering fast as compared to the $19,000 drop we have last December 2017. We don't know how much time it will make for a reversal but I know it will take longer than last time. But market cycles really don't have that set period where you are sure that it will do a reversal it also depends on other factors that can make the recovery earlier or even longer.
75  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed By The Owner Of TrustSwap Jeff Kirdeikis on: May 02, 2021, 01:51:22 PM
I will definitely go for a Lawsuit to recover my money from this scammer. I have proofs of convos and everything.
I will make him pay for this scam.
Its not just me im talking about, there is an army of investors who invested because of his fake promises.
This Scammer should return all the Ethereums to all the investors that they paid him with.

Definitely do this based on his Twitter account he as around 23k followers and he is currently promoting his new project/scam, TrustSwap, and there are several people who are optimistic with this project (probably bought tweets) and what you can do is find people who have negative replies against him just like this one and message them if they are interested in being part of suing Jeff Kirdeikis share information regarding his whereabouts to know how you will approach with this legal matter hoping that his real identity is Jeff Kirdeikis.

@JeffKirdeikis has scammed investors of 1up. He sold the project without even telling token holders. He is going to do the same with
@TrustSwap holders too. Be aware investors and withdraw your money by time. #ScammedByJeffKirdeikis #1up
76  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Which Marketing Strategy Works The Best For Investors For New Crypto Project? on: May 01, 2021, 04:16:09 PM
For me you must focus less on the marketing itself but the project as a whole and the best way to do it is through partnerships with big names that is related to your crypto project for an investor this is one of the most important things to look at to see if the project can really move forward or not. One of the biggest benefit is if you tied up your name to a good partner then it will also be a good marketing strategy for you especially if you are partnered with a big name as well. Besides that you can also have known personalities as part of your team from previous successful projects which will also help boost your presence in the crypto market.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: travelling internationally with a hard wallet on: May 01, 2021, 03:18:48 PM
This was in the news about New Zealand and their customs 3 years ago.

Aggressive digital border security: NZ customs can now demand phone or laptop passwords

This week Aotearoa New Zealand’s Customs Service joined the unholy ranks of countries such as USA, Canada, Australia, Russia, China and Mexico who can legally demand any passenger cough up the password to his/her “electronic device” in order to effect a “full search”.

There are several countries who can legally search you digitally and they demand for your password and much worse do a back up on your phone as well as your laptop. Keep in mind that they didn't mention anything about hardware wallets but the thing is they might suspect it as a usb storage device and they might even plugged it in their computer and ask for your passwords. So this things are the dangers on bringing a hardware wallet IMO and for me its safe to have a web wallet where you can just sign in after you have arrived and been cleared by the customs as you may never know what will happen in this kinds of searches.
78  Economy / Reputation / Re: 2 Account are connected ( Same social account ) on: May 01, 2021, 02:18:27 PM
@OP what they are trying to say is that if you want to give these accounts a negative feedback you need to prove that they both have been used in the same campaign the quotes you have provided are coming from different campaign threads which only means he didn't cheat any campaign by enrolling both accounts in 1 campaign. If you can search in their post history that both of these accounts are enrolled in a campaign at the same time then that is already enough to be considered as cheating a bounty.
79  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Sending locked coins on: April 30, 2021, 08:38:39 PM
You are sending your 10 Bitcoin as proof and then it will return back to you after proving that your own 10 Bitcoins? Isn't that too much to ask? As you already have paid when you have sent your 10BTC in the first place this is really an unnecessary action for a seller to ask and may look like a scam on a buyer's point of view. I can show several proof that I own that much Bitcoin by showing my proof of income or a signed message containing that 10BTC it simple as that.
80  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-26] JPMorgan to launch Bitcoin fund on: April 30, 2021, 03:29:12 PM
9 March: JPMorgan launches 'crypto exposure' product

An SEC filing on Tuesday by the bank showed it is creating a "basket of companies with exposure to cryptocurrency" that will be dominated by MicroStrategy and Square. JPMorgan will create debt products linked to the performance of the crypto basket, giving investors indirect exposure to the cryptocurrency market.

This is old news already I think it was the same time as Goldman Sachs took an interest as well in the crypto industry together with JP Morgan knowing that lesser-known crypto focus investments are taking a large chunk of the market share when it comes to investments. Knowing this missing out an opportunity for them will also make them lose their clients if they too took interest in the crypto industry that is why they are now exposing themselves to it.

And dear Jamie allows his clients to buy exposure to Bitcoin via a JPMorgan fund.
That is life, we know the story, first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
Welcome to the club, Jamie.

From what I know JP Morgan ate their word about Bitcoin and this has been a habit of companies who has plans to enter the crypto industry. For me personally eating their own words is a big thing as they are swallowing their pride by doing so and we must appreciate it that big name companies are starting to be part of the crypto industry.
