41  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 08, 2024, 10:50:06 PM
I hope other L2 solutions for bitcoin becomes more known like on liquid network for instance.

There are those that are beginner friendly and does not struggle with fairly huge amounts like LN hence it's possible more people might opt for it once awareness has increased but maybe it's just a matter of time.
42  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: May 08, 2024, 09:34:35 PM
it might still not be a bad time to invest because price plays regularly between 0.0007-0.0027.

Yeah, could be. I'm guessing a pump will happen when the CEx listing has been finalized -- how much depends on how popular the exchange is ofc

Top 20s are pretty good for a first CEx IMO and skel appears to be seeking tier 1 exchange as well so we'll see how that pans out.

But if BTC continues the downtrend, it's possible for the price to dip more since BTC drags most alts with it so splitting your buy orders over time may not be a bad idea as well -- depends on your speculation ig.
43  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reliable, low fee(s) exchange on: May 07, 2024, 09:42:24 PM
This is preferred by many unfortunately, this is no longer available in our country due to the ban of SEC and failure of Binance to comply with the regulations.
I will still recommend using this because aside from being phone friendly and lower at fees, they offer a lot of services where you can maximize and have a great crypto trading experience, Binance is indeed the top exchange no doubt.

I have a feeling you were talking about binance.com (global) 🤔

OP later revelead, they were from US so the .com is out of the question. They have to use the binance.US which can be very different from the global binance.COM we're used to in terms of products offered, volume, etc. -- the binance.US is inferior.
44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reliable, low fee(s) exchange on: May 07, 2024, 08:46:54 PM
Sounds like most like Binance. I will check Binance.us. Again, appreciate all your replies.

Pretty sure most folks were talking about binance.com which should have some key differences from binance.us because regulations are much more stricter in the said country.

Try to also check kraken and coinbase' advanced trade. I think in the US market, binance.us still falls behind these two + they're only accepting US folks so I don't expect a better liquidity if that's smth you're after.
45  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: May 07, 2024, 07:42:29 PM
Also here's the result of that  promo and Metawin release the name of those people who receive a 1 ETH cashback from them.
Code:
....

ohhhh this list is more than the promised 10 holders so I guess they made some considerations for the late comers. Isss a nice touch imo esp because up to a certain extent, those folks took a leap of faith on rocky.

Btw that meme coin was advertised during the Premier League match

Ayyyy, lookin' good lol! I'm not that into meme coins tbh --it goes oveer my risk appetite-- but rocky makes me feel hyped for $MWIN lol. I think if rocky goes well, it could give a pretty good additional headstart for $MWIN.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1xbit violated self exclusion terms, do not want to help on: May 05, 2024, 11:40:21 PM
I contacted them 3 times in a spam of 2 days regarding my request to be self excluded. I think thats more then enough communication from my part.

I don't think so, fam. You should've waited for a confirmation from them and tested if you're actually blocked. I think you left it to faith a lil too much...

On one hand, I'm not sure I can trust whatever yada baba that comes from 1xbit's mouth so I'm taking their statements with a grain of salt. But it's likely they will stand by their words until the ends of time so they won't be paying anything.

But they tell me that they will only communicate with my hotmail account and no information to my gmail account will be send, when the live chat even told me to send them a email from another email account but it has to be a gmail account and to explain the situation.

This is really a mess, i've never been in anything like this before. I can't even communicate with them. The only way they want to talk, they have problems sending me emails.

They could just be automated canned answers at this point.
47  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ JacksClub.io ✨ Daily Contest with Amazing Prices | VIP Rewards | Free Faucet on: May 05, 2024, 08:48:04 PM
.
Wonder if there will be a new bitcointalk exclusive contest/giveaway during this month too? lol
Demanding much I see, I dont mind though. General participation is enough from my side.

Lol. Let's just take this one at face value. It's just a question and no demand or any of that sort involved.

The casino in question has been very active in hosting bitcointalk contests and appears to be open in exploring other concepts as well -- price predictions, daily multiplier contests, no deposit contest or anything I missed on if there is lol -- thus, it's fair question to ponder IMO.
48  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best explorer for Bitcoin on: May 05, 2024, 07:51:11 PM
I evaluate the explorer based on ease of use and the presence of address markings (so that exchange addresses are visible).
Also, by the way, Oklink is an interesting tool.

In that case, you might like these as they also mark known exchange adresses -- some may say, they're more of an analysis tool but imo they could also count as block explorer.

1. oxt.me
2. breadcrumbs.app
3. bitinfocharts.com

But in terms of ease of use, oklink is still the best among them IMO however breadcrumbs offers more tools which is something to ponder .Whenever I have to see if an address belongs to an exchange, tho I try them all because they could have different data sets when it comes to that.
49  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: May 05, 2024, 06:52:11 PM
I guess this promotion is for rich guys  Cheesy since I don't have that balance on my wallet.

They did a 50 bucks edition couple of days ago:

Pretty sweet deal even for a new meme coin because I'm gonna deposit that amount either way lol. Sadly, saw it pretty late lol as I'm not that active on twitter anymore.

On the other hand, I understand that Metawin is using $ROCKY as a token to give advantages in their casino in a similar way as freebitco.in does with their Fun token?

Pretty much! though utility-wise, it most likely won't be as much as $MWIN which is metawin's upcoming token for their ecosystem.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do casinos require users to verify their identity through a KYC policy? on: May 04, 2024, 11:50:35 PM
My concern was not on that basic thing, it comes with a situation which I have mentioned, and I'll write it for you again "suspected of cheating", see that words? Without that, they might not choose to require you a KYC or they will, it's up to them but the rules of the government or the regulators, KYC is necessary to all users.

KYC/AML policies is necessary for compliance as well as for third party providers to want to work with a casino but my theory is that having a no ''mandatory" identity verification policy could sit in the gray area of law.

But all depends on one's setup, I reckon. Things that help on top off my head:

1. Providing a fully crypto only casino since involving fiat will surely get you a stricter kyc/aml policies to adhere
2. Incorporating off shore and getting licenses similar to curacao ones gets less policing as oppose to other options with stricter monitoring. Ofc, provided that you block those strict countries.

So why they don't require a user a KYC when they sign up? and why would they wait until they'll suspect a user before they will let them pass the KYC?
That's the big question now, and I appreciate your response but it does not hit what I'm trying to imply.

I reckon it's easier to onboard users that way esp if you're relatively new in the game where folks can be skeptical for good reasons.
51  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ JacksClub.io ✨ Daily Contest with Amazing Prices | VIP Rewards | Free Faucet on: May 04, 2024, 11:02:35 PM
Woah, happy 4th birthday, jacksclub!

I have enjoyed participating in your contests as well as playing on your platform and particularly how VPN friendly the casino is. Wishing for more birthdays to come your way  Cool

Wonder if there will be a new bitcointalk exclusive contest/giveaway during this month too? lol
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think US Paypal Users would be interested in buying cryptocurrency? on: May 04, 2024, 09:49:20 PM
I think convenience goes a long way. By having bitcoin available in an app/website most people already have or familiar with is a huge plus. It's not gonna make people automatically flock into Bitcoin, yeah but such integration could bring it closer to average folks. Further, it's an additional ad for crypto lol.

But I reckon, those already familiar with crypto probably knows better options so IMO they're less likely to use PayPal.
53  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have witnessed it's real to earn daily with futures trading on: May 03, 2024, 11:55:02 PM
This screams too good to be true to me.

Do you know them on a personal level or nah? There are many scammers who befriend people for the sake of introducing how they are so pro at trading in order to tempt their victims into their scam scheme. However, I'm not saying we should blindly trust someone we're close with. Scams just happen more often with people we don't know well enough.
54  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Be careful using Binance & Centralized Exchange on: May 03, 2024, 10:59:19 PM
Funds weren't transferred directly from the mixer. But the address sent to me was connected to mixers. Most likely, that's why they unfroze my accounts.

Would you happen to know how many hops was the mixer connected address from your binance deposit address?

I've used m-i-x-ers/tumb-ilng before and it's a general advise to not deposit mixed funds directly to any CEx. How many address jumps at minimum remains a hit or miss -- though the amount could have a heavy influence on this as well.

If exchanges are automatically digging 'deep' into parent transactions, i'm expecting a surge in false positives.
55  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: May 03, 2024, 09:35:17 PM
Yoooo @Kemarit, rocky is going to premier league hahaha

If they're going this far for rocky, wonder what promotions will be when they actually release their sportsbook and $MWIN, food for thought lol

Out of curiousity, does anyone know an estimate range cost for this type of sponsorship? 🤔
56  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Satoshi app legit or scam? on: May 03, 2024, 08:26:28 PM
... but looking at the app now I think is scam, because they announced about listen oEX token for exchange, that starting from 13th of april that every users should start submitting their wallet address and to complete facial recognition then I decided to follow the step I tried to link my wallet address then after putting my OEX wallet address then I was ask to check my email for verification code up till now I haven't gotten the verification code I think the project is scam.

The email verification code issue could just be a technical problem however, I can't comment on what will happen to your personal information like the facial recognition.

If I were you, I wouldn't join any airdrop with such requirements. There are better ones at paldo.io -- although, it's a curated list made by a reputable member on bitcointalk, it doesn't mean you shouldn't dyor.
57  Economy / Gambling / Re: AVIATRIX | NEXT GENERATION OF CRASH-GAMES | EARLY BIRD BONUS on: May 02, 2024, 11:50:36 PM
Regarding licenses - these are just a lot of documents that are inconvenient to read here and better to send through mail - and each license can be checked with the issuing organization in any case, so there is no point in lying here Smiley

I've seen some platform host their fine prints in PDFs on their website. Perhaps it's something that might interest you.

But if we end up going with email, I assume you don't mind if I end up sharing them here on bitcointalk? I see many of our members interested in what you're planning so I guess it's something they're likely to be checking out as well.

Now you can play for real money at b2b partner casinos (check the section partners) as the web3 version will be released in May Smiley

Ohhh only couple of weeks to go huh.

What are the key differences between the web3 version and those in partner casinos aside from the nft?
58  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: May 02, 2024, 11:11:47 PM
Today's casinos must be Smarter , they must not be Complicated , Accepting the VPN must be normal , the idea is that they enter the Casino and Can Carry out the Operations , that is why we will always devise a way enter Because they don't let us enter based on our Location, and that seems very non-Inclusive to me , that is Completely Exclusive , but for that there are no Rights or people to fight or Fight , so given these things we have to Find a way to Include new ones Reasons so that more Cases can be Generated that Accept KYC, it is not nice that you want to enter and they say that Due to Location it Does not make sense in the World we are living in , there are rights Defended by people who want to Believe Anything , so there is no right in financial Economics?

Wdym, fam?

If you're talking about those prohibited countries, then they are for legal compliance. Not every place is fond of gambling and/or some places require more from a gambling platform in order for platforms to legally operate and target their locals.

I reckon most people don't read the fine print hence I actually think geo-blocking helps up to a certain extent because there could be related clauses such as nullifying winings, closing down account, etc.

In addition, regulatory bodies appears to be slowly creeping into any crypto platform in order to find faults so it is better this way.
59  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Be careful using Binance & Centralized Exchange on: May 02, 2024, 10:34:31 PM
I'm curious if they never asked you any personal information particularly those which may be considered intrusive by many?

If so, it ain't bad. Don't get me wrong, 45 days sucks but I reckon other custodial platforms may have taken a harsher approach as most of them have always been prickly with mixers/tumbling/coinjoin services most especially these past few years with all the seizing and whatnot.
60  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Phemex on: May 02, 2024, 10:01:10 PM
Yeah, it's a pretty normal process in exchanges if you wanna reset your 2fa but loss access to OTPs. You never backed up your secret key or you lost it? if you've used google authenticator, did you login at some point? Next time, try to use an authenticator with easier and safe backup schemes like aegis.

But I can't comment on how safe your data will be on phemex. You'd need to weigh things down on which is more of value to you.

Not that I support it, I'm not sure you'd have a good chance at faking kyc documents in this case since you'd have to submit a video as well which their support will most likely check and not a software. Last I heard, deepfake tech of today may be able to fool the automated softwares but it is said, they'd have a hard time on human checks.

If a real person will do it for you, there's a risk their information has been heavily flagged in exchanges already and in CEX, kyc info is equal to ownership which they have more than you.
