181  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun |Up To 80% RakeBack |SLOTS|SPORTS|ESPORTS| JACK Token on: March 12, 2024, 08:48:23 PM
I still have my account not verified until now but I rarely play on this casino these days so maybe this is the reason why my account is still not ask to KYC even if my account age is old enough.
"must complete KYC" doesn't sound like it's optional. If it only refers to the promotion, giving personal information and passing KYC is too much for a $20 bonus. I understand that it is a question of protection against multi-accounting, but there would have to be some other way to make it happen.

I would say it is mandatory because you won't be able to withdraw otherwise:

Quote
When a user makes an aggregate lifetime total of deposits exceeding EUR 2000 or requests a withdrawal of any amount inside the https://blackjack.fun Platform, then it is compulsory for them to perform a full KYC process. During this process, the user will have to input some basic details about themselves and then upload

A copy of Government Issued Photo ID (in some cases front and back depending on the doc)
A selfie of themselves holding the ID doc
A bank statement/Utility Bill

I'd be nice if there is no mandatory kyc or a softer level 1 kyc instead.

Since Wapfika mentioned "old enough", I wonder if perhaps blackjack.fun granted their old unverified accounts an exception from mandatory kyc similar to stake? --not necessarily irrevocable considering the future regulatory pressures.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling : Next Generation Challenges on: March 10, 2024, 10:18:21 PM
Eh i thought I was gonna see some game changer ideas but they were kind of meh..

Personally, I don't see any reason to be more social just because the casino has a full blown local theme for us locals. One casino appears to have also given up on men because women were more chatty lol when men are more likely to still dominate the gambling scene in the near future.
183  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [List] Instant exchanges on: March 10, 2024, 07:12:28 PM
ّIn my opinion, Flashift's place in this list is really empty because with Flashshift flashift.app you can find the best rate among these exchanges. Please add Flashshift to the list.

Does your platform also provide an exchange service or they are just an aggregator meant to lay out information for users because there is a difference between the two in which the latter does not exactly fit the list.

But if your aggregator is seriously good (e.g./together with orangefren, kycnot.me, etc. ) perhaps op might consider adding an honorable mention for aggregators or something however, the thread hasn't been updated for some time.
184  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🎲Bons Telegram| 200% cash bonus For the first deposit🔥🎲 on: March 10, 2024, 10:14:33 AM
Maybe you guys need to check your internet (refresh/restart) or clear cache on your browser or try to use other browser. FYI, I'm using Chrome.

Thanks for trying!

Hmm. it could be my browser then because I was using firefox and brave when I tried -- with protections off.

The other casinos I've tried remained buttery smooth as well and no signs of throttling from my ISP either.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange advice to sell >10BTC on: March 09, 2024, 11:26:21 PM
The problem is if he uses Binance and other exchanges that require KYC he might end up paying taxes I heard that they ask for 50% tax on your capital gains from crypto in Canada. Instead of just paying fees, you'll also have to cover the associated taxes.

If you want to avoid that you don't have any other option but to use p2p exchanges like Bisq or Robosats.

Won't BISQ and robo be too illiquid for 10BTC + if op wants the sale to happen in a relatively short time frame?

Further, it's worth noting that Canada is banned in binance:

186  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🎲Bons Telegram| 200% cash bonus For the first deposit🔥🎲 on: March 09, 2024, 09:49:46 PM
The website is a little slow for me. Is anyone else having trouble with the connection like I am?

I tried to check and casino plus live games section did load slower on my end. In addition, the sports section was stuck in a loading circle no matter how many times I try. I'm not sure what's going on.
187  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Mexc wont unfreeze my account on: March 09, 2024, 08:27:09 PM
Sounds like typical security checks to me.

About listing all cryptocurrencies in your account, can you try to negotiate if naming most of them would be enough? IIRC, mexc isn't the first one to ask for a similar thing during account recovery but from the ones i've seen, a rough estimation is typically enough. I'm guessing you have a lot of different cryptos?
188  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: March 09, 2024, 08:10:22 PM
Really? They are allowed to let AI inspect the ID now? For some reason, I had always thought there were regulations against that.... Ok I guess it is easy.

Yup. I believe AI tech is the new trend most companies have been interested in. Some KYC/AML solutions have started incorporating this too, one example would be jumio:
Know and trust your customers online with the AI-driven identity verification platform trusted by leading brands worldwide.

AI regulations is kind of a wild west tbh since there are still lotsa talks going on about it + the tech is developing pretty fast and opens up different scenarios. Personally, I think it all boils down on what you're using it for.

There are some regions that restrict gambling platforms and the only way we can jump the restrictions is to keep using VPN.

The downside in this case is, I'd say most casinos would happily nullify a player's winnings especially if it's a big win once they came to know they're from one the restricted countries.
189  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🎲Bons Telegram| 200% cash bonus For the first deposit🔥🎲 on: March 08, 2024, 11:23:47 PM
             -   If I immediately look at the 200% bonus on the first deposit, it seems that he is really tempting, to be honest. The gambler will be really attracted when he reads that right away. That's why it's just worrying because I've seen and read marketing schemes or gimmick bonuses for their players.

Which is 400% of the first deposit, but the wagering amount for you to withdraw must be 500% of the total wager amount that is needed, which is greater than the 400% bonus that is given. It seems that the 400% bonus is also ignored. that they give.

This is totally normal. Unless my calculations are wrong, your example has actually a lower requirement from what I typically see --30x to 45x

In addition, setting the amount needed to be wagered the same as the bonus value is pretty much a 1x wager requirement and casinos could bleed money. It's no secret that a lot of people abuse these bonuses too. At the end of the day, we have to remember bonuses are for promotion's sake.
190  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nigerian Telcos Have Blocked Nigerians access to all crypto exchange websites on: March 08, 2024, 07:07:05 PM
Jeez, things have escalated from the last time I've read about this.

So Nigeria has apparently invited two binance executives only to intercept them and seize their passports.

Nigeria has detained two executives of the Binance crypto exchange after they flew into the country, media outlets reported.

The two were detained by the country's Office of the National Security Adviser and their passports seized, the Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The two had been invited by Nigeria to meet officials, and were intercepted when they landed on the grounds that Binance had been operating in the country illegally, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

The executives have not been charged, but could face allegations of currency manipulation, tax evasion and illegal operations, Bloomberg reported.

I could understand the other two but they're barking up the wrong tree with "allegations of currency manipulation"-- their local currency, i assume- because in binance's "p2p market", users set the price.

and BTW, binance is also discountinuing Naira which I think op should add in the first post.

Binance plans to discontinue its Nigerian Naira (NGN) services following increased scrutiny from the country’s regulators.

The crypto exchange will delist any existing NGN pairs by Thursday, and on Friday any remaining NGN balances in a user account will be converted to USDT.

“Users are encouraged to withdraw NGN, trade their NGN assets or convert NGN into crypto prior to the discontinuation of these NGN services,” a company blog post said on Tuesday.

Honestly, with how messy things are, I would withdraw my money on binance if I was from Nigeria and just come back again when the skies are clear.
191  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: March 08, 2024, 04:54:47 PM
A VPN could be another thing, but of course it will change your real location which will be hard for the authorities to find you if you are laudering money. That makes sense then...

This would totally depend on your VPN provider.

Who knows, one or two requests from authorities could be enough for some providers to succumb and handover whatever data they have and/or start the surveillance. Personally, I've never thought VPNs make people anonymous, after all, we are just shifting the trust from our ISP to our VPN provider. For instance, almost all of them claims they don't store logs but we can't verify this as a user so there is a lot of trust involved.

That's true, sometimes I've been thinking why others requiring subscription while some are not instead they are giving it for free, does this mean the free giving is much more risky than the
other one who has a subscriptions?

Most I've seen are in a freemium model where plans are divided between paid and free-- free plans are typically with some limits imposed e.g. speed, countries, etc. In this case, I could see it as a promotional approach. Of course, I'm not saying every provider with freemium model must be clean lol since you still have to consider their overall reputation.

A completely free provider though would send me alarm signals in a heartbeat as you're likely the product that is why it's free.
192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decentralized vs Centralized Gambling....Which do you prefer? on: March 08, 2024, 01:04:18 PM
Centralized gambling platforms are likely to still reign over because in any crypto servce the general public has always prioritized convenience and what they are already familiar with. Alternative means has always been more of a niche to people.

Not to mention the huge game library centralized platforms offer which from a player standpoint is quite tempting. Personally, it's hard to distance with the providers I'm used to and they only work with licensed centralized casinos.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam called ''INACTIVITY FEES'' - HitBTC on: March 08, 2024, 12:53:16 PM
The problem is that even now I can not withdraw what I have left because the withdrawals are blocked.

Have you checked if they're available for trading? if so, trade them with a working coin and get out off hitbtc.

edit: or did you mean withdrawals for every coin is blocked?
194  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Risks of the Exodus Exchange function ("CoinSwitch Scam") on: March 07, 2024, 11:11:46 PM
How can exodus say they are non custodial wallet if their partner can freeze your coins?

Their non-custodial claim remains true.

Thing is, exodus wallet and their partnered exchanges are separate platforms. Once you send away your coins in order to swap, the money now sits on the exchange's wallet as well as control (once confirmed, mind you) and no longer in your exodus wallet.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are people still using bitcoin ATMs? on: March 07, 2024, 09:52:17 PM
I keep hearing anecdotal stories of people using them but wonder if they are still considered a good way to buy bitcoin, given the steep fees these machines often charge.

TBH I'm not interested anymore.

Aside from the fees and spread, all the bitcoin ATMs that weren't too far from us required folks to submit an ID. I try to control the platforms I give my personal documents so if I'm gonna do an identity verification, I might as well pick an exchange offering a variety of products/services I plan to use for a long time.
196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto news sources on: March 07, 2024, 08:59:32 PM
What I do is, I try to be active on crypto communities such as bitcointalk and a couple of subreddits.

I also find using crypto news aggregators much easier -- naturally, cryptopanic.com is one of the choices but I found myself using bitcoinmonkey.org more cause I really liked how easier it was to customize my feed. Too bad they don't have a dark mode yet and auto-refresh of feed but last time I check their ANN, they said they were willing to do these.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam called ''INACTIVITY FEES'' - HitBTC on: March 07, 2024, 08:27:37 PM
First of all, we should have been informed somehow about these fees and changes to the regulation.
When I gave my consent and accepted the terms and conditions of registration on hitbtc, there was no such problem of inactivity fees. They were introduced later without being announced in any way.

I hate to defend hitbtc but I don't think so. Inactivity fee was actually introduced couple of years ago so if you have been charged for the first time on 10-10-2023, it would mean, the clauses for inactivity fee were already present the moment you registered because accounts are considered inactive after 6 months.

On a different note, hitbtc has been displaying shady practices for years and they remain fine up to this day lol. They have also been ignoring multitude of scam accusations posted about them on different places. So honestly, even if you have a case on this one, it's likely you won't get your money back.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to sell altcoins i have on exodus? on: March 07, 2024, 07:07:09 PM
I don't recommend exchanging on exodus.

I'd like to preface this with: exodus has partnered with third party exchanges so they're not actually the ones holding your funds during the exchange. The problem is, they don't let you choose which exchange to use and they have a lot of obscure platforms on board. To err on the side of caution, you'd would wanna avoid these obscure exchanges. Not to mention, there are already cases of people who encountered shady behaviour from one of exodus partnered exchanges, for instance: EXODUS + N.Exchange = SCAM | STAY AWAY

If crypto to crypto trades, you have exch.cx however, they only support a limited number of cryptocurrencies. Perhaps you could find more on kycnot.me or find someone trusted on Currency Exchange board.

For crypto to fiat, you have agoradesk.com (more choices on kycnot.me as well) but you'd have to convert your alts to BTC first.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: dice9.win – simple, fast and provably fair crypto games on: March 06, 2024, 11:14:13 PM
As for the minimum bets, it's 0.1 BNB

Minimum is on the high side imo -- it's trading for around 40 bucks. I would suggest a much lower amount so it's more accessible to people.

Also agreeing with the ANN thread suggestion. A nice infographic as a headstart would be nice but since a signature campaign has started, I guess it's on the way?
