221  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: February 29, 2024, 05:23:20 PM
I can not access my account Since my account was frozen in 2020 Are there any solutions to withdraw my balance?

Sadly, the withdrawal deadline has passed for bittrex.com. You can try to write to them, though I'm not confident someone (excluding bots) will answer you -- not a bad course of action for your peace mind imo.

BTW, was your state banned at some point? hence the "isn't available in the locale you're accessing from"? I don't think you were sitting on an IP outside US since you should've been automatically redirected to bittrexglobal if so 🤔
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you & friends thought of engaging on any unfamiliar activity for gambling on: February 28, 2024, 11:12:10 PM
Regardless of legality, I believe this has been happening and as long as it's not large scale, it's likely, there'd be no trouble.

For instance, I used to play local card games with friends and relatives with money at stake. I also remember mom used to meet up with the neighborhood ladies to play bingo at someone's house where they have a prize pool for every session. My step-dad used to bet with his friends everytime there was a sports live viewing meetup.

TBH, we can't deny lots of simple games are elevated when there is a money at stake  Grin
223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinbase struggling to keep up with volume. on: February 28, 2024, 07:40:48 PM
It's a coinbase tradition at this point. It's been happening for years -- Bitcoin rallies and something goes wrong with coinbase lol. Now I hear we have people's balances turning to zero lol.

The workaround is to have backup exchange/s. It's actually pretty common for crypto folks to have accounts in more than two platforms or do you have any specific reason to go all in on coinbase?
224  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining recommendations on: February 28, 2024, 07:18:33 PM
As far as I know (I checked their website and couldn't find anything of that sort, but maybe I missed it), Kucoin doesn't offer any type of mining, they merely have tutorials on it.

Did some digging and found kucoin used to offer cloud mining -- emphasis on "used to" so perhaps there was some confusion on sheenshane's end? Minimum shouldn't be 5 BTC as well.

Their cloud mining biz was so fleeting so I'm not surprised this is my first time hearing about this. If I'm not wrong, the timeline started on 2022 and ended on 2023 lol because earliest stuff I could find were all on 2022 and then there was this 4 month old reddit post implying it's long gone, see: https://www.reddit.com/r/kucoin/comments/17ohffa/kucoin_screwed_bitcoin_cloud_mining/
225  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Bitmex exchange is a scam. on: February 28, 2024, 05:42:02 PM
I'm afraid they are likely to keep their stance -- shutting you off, as it would be easy to ignore your emails.

There's the typical making noise on crypto communities since a lot of companies don't like bad publicity however, you must up your game to gain traction because a lot of contents get buried into oblivion. For instance, you could hire/ask websites and accounts with good following to boost exposure.

But honestly, with this amount at stake, it would be worth to explore what are your legal options with a lawyer.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You See Losing Your Weekly Payment to The Casino on: February 27, 2024, 11:55:26 PM
How do you see losing your payment to the casino?

Do you see losing your payment back to the casino as your own form of indirect support for the project?

I don't mind losing a whole week of payment but I wouldn't want it to happen in a couple of hours as that would feel super fleeting because I worked for it for a week. I would like it to keep me company for a decent amount of time.

2nd question: any kind of usage is a support to me

Do you think that I already have a bad gambling mindset thinking that by engaging in one or two bets or games I am supporting the project I promote? [/b]

Supporting is OK. The problem is when we lose self control. We all have different financial situation so there should be a limit, if you think you've gone over the said limit, then that would need an immediate attention.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin portrays less risk of financial transaction than other investment system on: February 27, 2024, 07:05:51 PM
Who has ever thought about Bitcoin investments as one of the safest investments ever when you talk about the trading?

Trading is generally risky even for bitcoin but if we're talking about long term holding, yeahh I would say risks are a loooot less.

Just have a view of an anonymous Bicoin P2P transaction where you could trade and transact millions of dollars legitimately with a zero risks of being physically attacked for theft or bridged of trust with a dealer after successful transactions.

I wouldn't say it's zero risk as it all boils down on how much you pay attention to your security and privacy. For instance, a lot of physical attacks to bitcoiners were targeted so it's safe to assume there was a phase were the perps were harvesting information.

Not sure I fully understand the latter but there are plenty of times people don't keep the other side of the deal.
228  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Help Out Decentralized Gambling Research - Chance To Win $60 in BTC✨ on: February 27, 2024, 02:10:03 PM
If you backread they said the raffle draw would be in the middle or end of March but as far as I know, they didn't mention if there is a minimum number of surveys they need. Upon checking the escrow Bitcoin address, there is 0.00122738 BTC which is almost $70 now. Just wow! The Bitcoin price has almost doubled in a very short time. My question is, Is $60 the only estimated prize or does it include the entire Bitcoin in the Bitcoin escrow address including the transaction fee?

Ahahaha at this point, it might be a good idea to just add the prize in satoshi or "1 mbtc+".

and thanks! I must've missed the date. I'd be a good idea to add it on the first post of the raffle thread as well.

BTW I believe this answers your question:

The winner will receive 0.00122738 BTC minus any transaction fees after the draw.
229  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Help Out Decentralized Gambling Research - Chance To Win $60 in BTC✨ on: February 27, 2024, 01:25:40 PM
What a nice timing lol, and maybe it'll increase more in value in the coming days 😏 I hope you get more people in, and good luck to everyone joining!

I'm guessing there is a minimum number of target surveys, May I ask how far are we from this? or perhaps you can tell if the team is halfway there?

232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CAN I BUY CRYPTO ON EBAY? on: February 26, 2024, 10:30:56 PM
I’ve had people tell me both yes and no. I tried to find it on eBay but no luck. Is there some secret key words or something to find it ? Please let me know . Thanks

That's probably because it used to be a thing in the past.

I got you a couple of threads for your curiousity:

1. Buying Bitcoins on ebay
2. Buy bitcoin on eBay?
3. I bought a Bitcoin on eBay using Paypal. Be careful buyers as you are not covered if seller doesn't send.

Fast forward to present time, I believe you have already answered this as there are no secret words plus unlike the old days, we have so much more options now when it comes to buying/selling. Stick with crypto exchanges, op.
233  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crashino Crash Gambling, Crypto Casino and Sports Betting on: February 26, 2024, 09:07:46 PM
Crashino looks like a relatively small gambling platform so it's not surprising to see such withdrawal limits

These are probably set so they don't drain their bankroll/reserves quickly and have a better money flow = pretty much a business decision. Best to go with the large casinos if someone wants bigger to no possible withdrawal limit.

Edit:

Saw the crash contest, good luck to everyone participating!
234  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitforex.com goes offline after 55 million withdrawal on: February 26, 2024, 08:21:30 PM
Has the alleged previous CEO gone completely silent as well? what about the new team or CEO, were they announced publicly? -- tried looking these up and nothing.

As it stands, it's lookin' like an exit scam with all the ghosting and halted withdrawals. Anecdotes like this also does not help:

The stepping down announcement from 'previous CEO' has only been almost a month as well so I'm not closing the possibility that it's all a facade.

235  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Storminvest Scam on: February 26, 2024, 06:37:42 PM
Thanks for the tips. I spoke with a computer scientist who helped me find the history of Anydesk with IPs, and more information about those who entered my computer. I received a phone call from another company that would like to help me with recovery. I don't trust them because they know everything about my situation (even what I didn't post on the forum)

My first aid arrived a few weeks ago. She said her name is Julia and she is an employee of Titanumwallat.io. He said there is a procedure against Storminvestes and he will help me get my money back. I had already created an account on their website, but the email address was incorrect. 41000 usd appeared on the website. which is still today under a wrong email address. On Anydesk he checked what references I made. Binance also caught me looking for something and said my banker hid the password. he asked me to download binance on my phone and he will call me the next day. Meanwhile, I wrote to my broker on Viber about what this guy wants to do with me. Luca told me not to deal with anyone because they are frauds, I thought the storminvest platform was working.
Julia never applies again. her phone number is +442080972198.

Uhhhh sorry op but I'm afraid that's another scam... I suspect it's another persona from storminvest because a lot of scammers milk their victims dry. Once the first scam gets discovered by the victim, they will come again with another persona.

It looks like a recovery scam where they promise you to recover your money but it's all crap. I also see that they intentionally made the "41000 usd" numbers appear so this is likely mixed with the refund scam (common from tech support scams) where they ask you to give it back or something and eventually talk you out into giving remote access to your devices and/or send them the money. Titanumwallat.io is another website no one has heard of. The binance bit also doesn't make sense? is it actually the real binance.com or a phishing website? To sum it up, it's all typical scam.

Do you think you can contact one of your trusted people op? perhaps your children and/or siblings? they don't really have to be a pro to reinstall an OS and change passwords. If not, perhaps you could also ask help from your local police cybercrime dept?

For now, don't send anyone money or any personal information. Most importantly, don't download programs you don't know particularly those that give remote access to your devices.
236  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Referral Code Not Working in My Region on: February 25, 2024, 12:33:34 AM
@Davidvictorson, can't comment if binance messed on referrals for nigerian residents but they're not on the prohibited countries to say the least.

Nigeria remains one of the supported countries on: https://www.binance.com/en/country-region-selector and no official news from binance yet that says nigerian people are barred from their platform.

In another source, the app is still working fine according from binance, see: https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-presidential-adviser-nigerian-ban

Crypto debit card are heavily tracked, sadly.

What about a middle ground approach? I know a lot of folks concern about their privacy tweak their smartphones to make it privacy friendly, perhaps you could look into that on privacy forums.

You could try to look for brick 'n mortars near you on:

238  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Storminvest Scam on: February 24, 2024, 09:46:02 PM
Sorry for your loss, op.

I have to ask. Anydesk is a program that allows remote access to your device/s. Please tell me you have done a clean reinstallation of your OS? Plus if you have accounts logged in previously on any affected devices, change their passwords and enable TOTP 2FA whenever you can -- if you have no idea which accounts, just change everything important to you.

These scammers will milk you dry so make sure they can't come back to your life anymore.
239  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining recommendations on: February 24, 2024, 12:25:04 AM
Good luck with that.

Most members here avoid cloud mining because of the amount of cloud mining scams and/or the very likely possibility that it's gonna be unprofitable.
240  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitRoul.com , Roulette without zero ,RTP 100 , earn 100 USD with fun money on: February 24, 2024, 12:00:00 AM
Does it count if they didn't sign up or sign in?

I don't think so because it says on their blog you have to create an account:

WIN 100 USD with the fun money ROUL1 .

     Goto  www.bitroul.com
     Create an account
You receive 10000 Roul1 for free
Gamble , and make your account up to 36001 Roul1
The 100 Usd are for you .

Only one win by player .

You can reload 10000 ROUL1 into your account at menu/account .

Anyhoo, I was wondering if there's some sort of guarantees op will be paying the 100 bucks? since they're not a reputable platform yet otherwise, some folks may be reluctant to deposit.
