41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the popularity of Bitcoin on: August 14, 2021, 04:02:52 PM
Suddenly chatting with a friend today. How do blind people use mobile payment? We don’t know the daily life of blind people. Blind people pay with paper money, but will digital currencies replace paper money in the future? (However, there is no certain mark on the U.S. bills, and the blind cannot touch the face value of the legal currency)

There are also some elderly and children who do not have mobile phones. Children can take care of them and learn cryptocurrency with their families. However, many elderly people have no children and lack the ability to accept new things. With the popularity of Bitcoin, will they continue to use paper money in the future?

In fact, for blind people, no one pays too much attention to their lives. Because there are no blind friends around, they don't think so much. If some technology is developed, it is very expensive consumption.
With the increasing popularity of Bitcoin, what do you think will happen to blind and childless elderly people?
Considering how much people are still unaware of bitcoin's existence, there's a higher chance that those with disabilities does not have any idea at all about it. With regards to caring and paying attention to blind people, there's a certain organization in each country that handles them for sure. I hope they are not really being left behind or forgotten because they are also humans who are incapable of experiencing the same life a normal person should have. Maybe in the future, as bitcoin gets introduced to the world, there's a chance they will know and learn how to use it regardless of their disabilities.
42  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does power really corrupt? on: August 14, 2021, 03:37:05 PM
Power is said to be the ability to control the action of other people around you.when can change the decision of other people using force or negotiations you are are said to powerful.some types of power include,

Physical power (the rock)
Political power (Joe Biden)
Economic power ( Alinko Dangote)
Expert power (Lionel Messi)
Referent power(Nelson Mandela)
Coercive power(Saddam Hussein) etc

Political power is said to be the ability to control people in a country without problem.but too much political power bring about dictators.

There is a popular saying that power corrupt, but absolute power corrupt absolutely.
Power poisons the man who has it specially when it is too much. The government has most of the power over a country regardless of what type of government they have. As they get the chance to rule over and manipulate people's mind, it becomes a dessert for them that they always look for. No matter how good of a person a certain individual is, tempation sill come forth towards him and he will soon abuse his power. In any field actually, may it be the politics, sports, science and others, once the power given is already too much, the chances that corruption and greed will always be very high.
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things I wish I knew before starting my crypto journey on: August 14, 2021, 03:07:44 PM
I had no one and I was so determined to find my ways around and here are the costs

1. In 2017 there are many new altcoins mostly PoW coin and I was so hooked to finding the next big thing another projects that will be like BTC and ETH so I started mining every new coins I saw, as time goes by 95% of those coins end up worthless, I was just luck that few ones survived ( havven protocol, electroneum, Loki)

2. I don't know that with underclocking and overclocking can make you safe power consumption on rigs, I just insert GPU in motherboard and start mining , sadly I did this for two years

3. I never knew that some GPUs are better than the other, I went out to computer store nearby and buying whatever I could get my hands on, HD7770, HD6950, GTX 660 etc

4. I even store my coins on wallets like Free wallet which is a very bad one, never knew about centralised and decentralized wallets, I ended losing 1 million doge coin to Free wallet

If I had a teacher in 2017 maybe I would have escape some of this mistakes? but I had no one and thankful here I am today still standing strong
All the mistakes and all the regrets will only bring you frustrations. Indeed things could've ended better if you chose doing the things you've mentioned and learn about stuffs that could have helped you a lot. Nevertheless, the fact that you are still standing strong amidst all those circumstances you've face is already something you should be proud of. It is not too late to do the things right this time as you learn from the past. There are a lot of people out there who chose to just give up as they experience failure but little do they know, they still got chance and time to get back up and regainn or even benefit more after the mistakes they committed.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I feel like I'm in deja vu on: August 14, 2021, 01:47:13 PM
as we know in 2017 there was a very popular game called cryptokitties before the market increased very high (bull run) at the end of 2017, then now there is a game that is also popular, namely Axie Infinity and I hope if this is a sign for a bull run that will happen at the end of 2021, so the market can increase very high like what happened at the end of 2017.
Since it has only occured once and we cannot be certain that seeing a popular game involving crypto is a sign of another bull run, let us not jump into conclusions yet. What we had back then is way too different to what we have right now so maybe, a game is not the one that will set bitcoin and other crypto ready for another bull run. Also, the news with regards to bitcoin, regardless if it is good or not, will surely be one of the main factors that will tell us if another bull run is getting near. Just wait and keep on holding, buy whenever the value is low and always be wise with your decisions, we'll soon witness another bull run once again.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market in the currency market is about to start on: August 14, 2021, 12:57:26 PM
Whatever the government and its citizen is doing that benefits crypto, we cannot still predict when will another bull run take place. Even though the market is looking good at the moment, the bull run will still depend on bitcoin's current trend. If we are really eager to witness and benefit from another bull run, the best we can do is speculate and analyze price movements so that we can learn what's the best course of action that will enable us to gain much profit when the time comes that bitcoin and other altcoins experiences new all time highs.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a speculative asset or as currency on: August 14, 2021, 11:55:49 AM
In our own observations, we can see that bitcoin plays as speculative asset and as a store of value at the same time. Its difference between fiat and CBDCs makes it more likely to be chosen by many people. We usually seek financial freedom and we don't want the government keep on watching the transactions we make and they would take advantage of it. It would be best if we'll encourage others to patronize bitcoin and other crypto more for the offers and the features it has. Also, let us use our crypto responsibly and avoid doing things that will give it a bad impression and reputation.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Singapore Police Say Crypto-Related Crimes Keep Rising across the Country on: August 14, 2021, 11:00:25 AM
Considering the anonymity offered by crypto and the transaction that is not traced by the government, all crimes are possible within it. Scams or frauds are very evident specially for the new ones who are much more likely to be vulnerable in getting involved on such acts. Also, in the dark web, the currency being used is cryptocurrency specially bitcoin wherein it is used for buying illegal stuffs like weapons and videos. It should be expected since the number of crypto investors is also growing and we cannot be certain that all of it does not have any bad ideas in mind.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The more popular Bitcoin is, the more valuable it is? on: August 13, 2021, 09:53:49 PM
Well, bitcoin's price growth does not completely rely on its popularity. There could be instance where it might be popular and all but the value is still down for a certain reason such as getting banned by another country or receiving negative feed back from a well-known person. As bitcoin gets more involved in people's daily life, chances is that it might be of good help as the value will rise in no time or it can also be bad as the government end up noticing it and starts taking action towards it that can be detrimental for many users and investors.
49  Other / Politics & Society / Re: My body, my choice is the new : just do it ! on: August 13, 2021, 03:29:37 PM
how can you oppose that? my body, my choice. end of the discussion. no trespassing allowed.

blah blah. it's the most powerful slogan ever !

it reflects the WILL as the fundamental core issue ! and maybe even more basic the full owership of the individual over his own body.

It is indeed a powerful statement but what should matter the most with regards to it is the external harm that may occur to you as you independently show off your body in public. Not everyone is well-educated nor well-mannered so you cannot expect that everyone has a clear idea of respect and acting civilized. No one should ever stop you from expressing your gratefulness from having a wonderful face and body if we're talking about aesthetics but if we'll tackle about health and wellness, the sudden forceful declaration that everyone needs to be vaccinated is violating our free will. As to what is said, your body, your choice, so not even the government should interfere with our decisions on what we want to do with our body in all aspects.

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are other cryptocurrencies not like Bitcoin? on: August 13, 2021, 02:35:38 PM
Over the years Bitcoin have been doing very great and as a matter of fact it is the fastest cryptocurrency that is much valuable and growing with rapid speed. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, some come doing better at the earlier stage but as time goes on they loss value and at the end of the day it gets crash .
my question is that why can't they last and be like Bitcoin and what does it take for this unstable cryptocurrencies to be like Bitcoin.
I'll be glad to get responds to add to my knowledge concerning this . Thank you
It is simply because there is no other crypto that can accomplish what bitcoin has done ever since the beginning. Also, if other cryptocurrencies will be like bitcoin, the balance will be messy or there will be no balance at all. Each value of the crypto, including bitcoin, will not go very high. Bitcoin set the standard of being a successful crypto and if others would like to follow its footsteps, they need to suprass a lot of obstacles on the way just like what bitcoin did. Each has different features also which makes them unique towards each other and all of them have different goals that they are trying to achieve in the future.
52  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin losing its purpose? on: August 13, 2021, 02:04:51 PM
Investors here in crypto have their own ways on how they can benefit from it. Most of such does it the usual way wherein as the price falls, they buy as much as they can and hold it. Bitcoin's real purpose is slowly fading as time passes by and as more people view it as just an another source of profit. The probability of having many countries banning it is still high specially now that China offically banned crypto mining within their territory and with consideration also with the influence they have over other countries. It will happen, one way or the other, but I'm pretty sure crypto, specially bitcoin will still prevail.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The ideology of Bitcoin on: August 13, 2021, 11:06:43 AM
I stand to be corrected on this;
Without the interference of external forces (governments), bitcoin will last as long as humanity will exist.

See why I insinuate thus;
1. The volatility of bitcoin is a great feature that keeps it flourishing.
2. The volatility is induced by the act of buying and selling.
3. See the ideology; if bitcoin is on correction, there are millions of people seeing it as the best time to buy. Even if bitcoin crashes to $10,000 as many will be anguishing, some will also see it as a buying opportunity, hoping it will climb back to 40,000+.
4. So, in as much as humans remain;
a. Insatiable
b. Opportunists.
c. Risk takers
d. And maybe greedy.
Bitcoin will co-exist with humanity till infinity.
Bitcoin will surely last for a very long time and we might even cease to exist before it does so for now, let us make the most from it and be wise and strategic with our investments. Those traits of a human being you've mentioned will surely act as a foundation as bitcoin innovates more. It is a never ending cycle for humans to be greedy, to take risk, to give up and try again after a long while and to grab opportunities whenever they see one. It might look bad at some point but it is what nourishes bitcoin's growth and it is inevitable to see the world without those kind of individuals.
54  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Innocent Man Locked in Mental Facility, Forcibly Drugged for THREE YEARS ... on: August 12, 2021, 05:25:11 PM
This kind of thing happens all the time... but mostly with runaway kids, who are never heard from again.

Innocent Man Locked in Mental Facility, Forcibly Drugged for THREE YEARS Because No One...

Every time Joshua Spriestersbach tried telling the doctors, nurses, and staff at a state hospital in Hawaii that they had the wrong man, no one listened and his protests were answered with drugs. After nearly three years, the blithering idiots running the hospital finally figured out their blunder and instead of fixing their mistake, they covered it up by quietly kicking Spriestersbach out on the street with only 50 cents to his name.

The Hawaii Innocence project is now representing Spriesterbach and this week they asked the court to correct this innocent man's life. The filing by the Innocence Project explains how the state was looking for a man named Thomas Castleberry and grabbed the first person they saw instead, Spriesterbach.

...

Cool
That would surely impact his mental health and it might even end up getting far from being treated. Also, with consideration that drugs were involved and it happened for 3 years, if justice will not be served, it will prove how broke and how ineffective the justice system in their country. The hospital that did it to him should be shut down and sued for the mistake that they forcibly considered as right while destroying a human being's life. Even after filling him with the wrong drugs, they never took responsibility on what they've done and simply run away. I justice will be given to him and he gets treated as soon as possible.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can you combat market gloom? on: August 12, 2021, 04:29:19 PM
It's all about motivation and perseverance. No matter how bad the market looks, you should stay patient and keep on believing that better days are yet to come. We should learn from what we experienced back then when the bear market suddenly happened after a surprising bull run. It might be risky but without high risk, you cannot expect high rewards. Just always keep in investing and strategize how you can cope up regardless of the current market situation. Do not let your emotions decide for you, use your head all the times to come up with an effective and better plan.
56  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Online Misinformation on: August 12, 2021, 03:46:37 PM
Spreading fake information in the internet has always been a problem for many specially for those who easily believes on what they see here. It is very easy to manipulate or change information in the internet like for example, in Wikipedia, everyone is free to change its content and many students sometime rely on the definition given by it. If you want to be certain about a specific data in the internet, you should rely on journal articles with trustworthy authors or see if there supporting evidence cited to prove that the information being given is completely legitimate.
57  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Social media's impact to the growth of crypto currency on: August 12, 2021, 03:11:33 PM
As technology advances more as time passes by, the spread of influence also changes wherein in our generation, social media is the most influential as people commits most of their time on it. Social media can both have positive and negative impact towards cryptocurrency wherein FUD's can be spread through it as well as good news about a certain coin pumping or experiencing an all time high. It is our sole responsibility, as crypto enthusiast, to use our influence in different social media platforms for the betterment and for a greater reputation for cryptocurrency towards other people who are unfamiliar with it or who are less knowledgeable about it.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum @4k on: August 12, 2021, 02:17:18 PM
As, the entire cryptocurrency market is in the green mood and the bull run is gaining momentum ethereum price at the moment is already above $3k which is a sign that ethereum will reach $4k before the end of this week that is a week after the ethereum London hard forks. Just my prediction.
It can be seen that there has been a significant change after the London hard fork but still the value has been playing in $3k only. Though it seem to stay that way, since it has surpassed $3k already, we can expect that there's a chance that its value will reach another new ATH before the year ends. There's nothing wrong about making predictions specially when an increase suddenly occurs within a certain currency. Nevertheless, as we spectate the currency, we should take consideration of any possibilities that may occur all of a sudden and prepare our investments for it.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Gaming on: August 12, 2021, 01:42:17 PM
With the development of more gaming sites with more consensus to reward gamers so many of the NFTs will in the future look into this new trend that allows users to play computer games and get rewarded without having to stake money, they get paid for the skills in playing computer games.
NFT's are making so much noise for the past few months as new games that enables players to earn crypto keeps on showing up. The one leading right now is Axie Infinity and it is so much evident that it is a very profitable game and the growth within the number of players has been massive to the point that the game experiences bugs and needed a lot of maintenance to ensure the quality and the stability of the game as they accomodate more players. NFTs are promising and we can see more development and growth in the future specially with those who are leading the game right now.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do most cryptocurrencies rise and fall together? on: August 12, 2021, 12:40:50 PM
Ever since the rise of many potential altcoins, it can be observed how they follow bitcoin's price movement wherein whenever it experiences a sudden rise in value, the altcoins also rise together with it. It can also be seen evident that the multiple number exchanges which involves different cryptocurrencies affects the unified rise and fall of it. Bitcoin has always been the trendsetter and it is no surprise that many are still investing on it as well as believing on its capability to rise more in the future. That is why most of the investors diversify their investment because they know most of it will follow bitcoin's bull run whenever it happens.
