141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee? on: July 30, 2021, 03:49:01 PM
There will be some coins that can give you certainties but there are also some that wouldn't. It would more likely depend on your choices if your investment can give you a guarantee because if you will be investing on a coin that will obviously go down after a long time of having a high value, then you are just putting yourself into a higher risk. As you make an investment in the crypto space, consider yourself already as someone who is taking on a risk. There are really no assurance for me, it is more likely about the timing, the right decisions and the right choices that makes you profitable in crypto.
142  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is COVID-19 cure possible? on: July 30, 2021, 03:21:43 PM
Do you think they will be able to create some type of medicine which is going to be effective against the virus any time soon, because we all see that the vaccines maybe won't be the key to beating the virus? Huh
The vaccine for the virus is not really the key to finally conquer it or eliminate it. It just serves as an extra protection to prevent you from having a severe case which can be fatal. Getting the vaccine does not mean you will be invulnerable to the virus, there's still a chance that you may get it yet it wouldn't be the worst case scenario anymore. With regards to creating a medicine that could really defeat the virus seems not feasible for now. Regardless of how much the technology in the field of medicine has innovated, it would still take lots of years before they can make a cure for it finally considering the fact that it is a new illness.
143  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin doesn't care about Tesla and Amazon on: July 30, 2021, 01:14:16 PM
I sometimes think that those who do this kind of screens are sometimes under the Itachi's Genjutsu Cheesy
What really gives you a reason to say that in the title when your arguments actually prove the different idea? Technical analysis has nothing to do here.
Okay, let's see how everything happened:
Overall, there is an expectation that after the halving, bitcoin's price should significantly rise. It happened that way and went up to 20K. Then what happened? PayPal announces that it will accept Bitcoin and it increased the price. Then Elon Musk announces that Tesla will accept the crypto and then price rises again and then the rise continue until his tweet that really destroyed the whole crypto market. His tweets had so much influence that it not only seriously affected the Bitcoin's price but at the same time he was seriously hyping the Dogecoin and it had an enormous increase in price.

After Elon's tweet, it was looking like the market was rebounding but then the China announced mining ban and it finally crashed the market without the chance of rise. Then, what happened? Btc was playing between low price range and one day the rumor leaked that Amazon is going to accept the price and it quickly reached the 40K price, liquidated a lot of short positions on futures market.

So, yeah, it's price is very dependant on this kind of actions and the result from these announcements is almost immediate.
This just clearly shows how volatile and how affected bitcoin by external factors. Those recent past events indeed made a huge impact on bitcoin's price right away but still we cannot rely on such that it will be consistent or stable. Those events just hypes the market for a short moment and we'll be back to the usual price once again. Maybe bitcoin doesn't really need help from those huge companies yet if only they did the right thing towards bitcoin, maybe it would have been possible that the certain company who chose to collaborate and help bitcoin would have ended up helping each other.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is more real than money in the Bank on: July 30, 2021, 12:29:48 PM
Bitcoin has been seen way more better than fiat for a long time already. Not only it is free from taxes but whenever we invest our money in it, we have the financial freedom to do whatever we want to do with it. The statement that it is way more real than money in the bank may have come from the thought that it is much effective and convenient to be used whenever purchasing something. We are all aware how fiat is manipulated by the government, maybe that's why also. Bitcoin is decentralized that's why more people are starting to patronize it than the currency the government wants us to use.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC fall below $20,000? Bargain hunting? on: July 29, 2021, 09:52:06 PM
For the longest while, bitcoin's value played between $30k-$35k and hasn't gone lower than that ever since. Nevertheless, that doesn't remove the fact that the value of bitcoin is very much volatile hence bargain hunting wouldn't be so ideal yet. You should wait a little bit more up until the value goes much lower. We do not really know when will it happen but we should always keep an eye on the market if we would really like to buy bitcoin in a very cheap price. It will all be worth it once we hit the right timing of buying bitcoin and even other cryptocurrency out there.
146  Economy / Economics / Re: Will some companies like Amazon really 'store' Bitcoins? on: July 29, 2021, 04:02:19 PM
I came through a post here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5351319.msg57557132#msg57557132

And it says that will Amazon adopt btc or not till specified date there.

A question struck my head.
Do such companies need it?
I am not against Amazon or any other big tech names, but as we understand it, Tesla and others have came in crypto to make profits by holding it. But companies like PayPal and Amazon settle millions of dollars on a daily basis sent to their vendors who sell products there successfully. If taken into consideration, then these companies accepting btc will be offering it to users just for their convenience but can't store btc for a long period of time, which means that much btc will be coming back to either exchanges or sold through OTC on a daily basis to settle their deals with vendors quick. Is such an adoption going to harm the overall value of bitcoins if sales will take place through big companies (not Tesla and all who are here for profit)?
Unfortunately, Amazon released a statement that they are not going to regulate the use of crypto as a mode of payment for their company. Nevertheless, for sure there are still a lot from us who are hoping and who are aware that there will always be a possibility that crypto will get involved on such huge companies. It would've been a great help specially in terms of bitcoin's price if only the rumors were true. Amazon is one of the top five biggest company in the States so just imagine how much impact and influence it could give to crypto wherein other huge companies would have the courage to do the same thing till almost every company in the world uses crypto.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first bitcoins came from.. (faucets aside) on: July 29, 2021, 01:34:36 PM
On my long experience in here in the crypto space, I first received my bitcoin through bounty campaigns or signature campaigns. ICOs are one of the best sources of income during that time and I received huge amount of profit from it but unfortunately such ways is not effective nor recommendable anymore right now. It was due to the sudden increase of scam campaigns that destroyed the reputation and trust of many towards bounty campaigns. Though I wasn't paid directly in the form of bitcoin, I immediately convert my profits to it as soon as I receive it.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: Which area will develop after the epidemic? on: July 28, 2021, 04:49:07 PM
If in terms of economy, those who will develop will surely be the huge and wealthy countries like China, US and different countries in Europe. Ever since the pandemic occured, we've all witnessed how much advantage they had on such crisis specially with China where the virus started. It could be seen that after just a short while, it was able to recover and put the virus under their control. There are even rumors that it is their way of conquering the world as other countries suffers and gets their economy going down, they have everything under control while their country is still progressing.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you'll Sale bitcoin on today? on: July 28, 2021, 04:11:54 PM
For almost a full day I pay attention to the price of bitcoin, and still survive around the price of $33000. I don't see that there will be a significant change to go up. Will you still survive the market conditions like this? Confusing.
There have been a significant change lately but I wouldn't suggest that you sell already. The price can still go higher once bitcoin go through another bull run which may take place once bitcoin recovers again. It might take a while but it will surely be worth the wait once it happens. The market is still very much confusing yet it should never be a reason to give up on holding because the only way bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is going is upwards. Just stay patient and wait, bitcoin's time will surely come once again and it will surely be worth the wait.
150  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unvaccinated people dying and begging for vaccination on: July 28, 2021, 03:33:34 PM
"A doctor has revealed how coronavirus patients who have not been vaccinated beg for the jab – but tells them ‘it’s too late’.

Dr Brytney Cobia says that all but one of her patients have not had the vaccine and that they were expected to survive.

Those who have not yet been jabbed, however, are dying.

Dr Cobia, who works at Grandview Medical Centre in Birmingham, Alabama, also said that young, healthy people were being admitted with ‘very serious Covid infections.

She said: ‘One of the last things they do before they’re intubated is beg me for the vaccine. I hold their hand and tell them that I’m sorry, but it’s too late."

Read more on: Doctor treating unvaccinated, dying Covid patients tells them ‘I’m sorry but it’s too late’

Normally I wouldn't open a thread like this one, which at first glance I found a bit sensationalist. But with the amount of threads saying that vaccinated people are going to die, it seems to me that it is necessary to counteract.

Postscript: this post was written with a mutation in my arm caused by the COVID vaccine.
It was also said that the vaccine wasn't made to make those get the shot invulnerable from the virus instead it was made so that instead of experiencing severe case, it would lower down and would increase your capacity to survive and recover. Nevertheless, there are still many questions that are not yet answered about the vaccine. I don't think we can already be certain about what it really does to people once they get it. It will take many years and tests before we can really say that the vaccine is effective and safe. By that time, COVID is already cleared for most of the country yet making the perfect vaccine is still necessary.
151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Opportunities in the Crypto Space on: July 28, 2021, 03:11:43 PM
Indeed, the crypto space offers all sorts of opportunities. That is why you should give great importance with the fact that you were able to know about this. There are a lot of people out there that are crawling just to get a regular job yet here you are, having the capability of earning without even applying for a specific job. Not everyone was given the chance to know about the crypto space so if you were one of those fortunate people who were able to, do not let it slip away and keep on searching for an opportunity that may help you financially if ever you haven't find yours yet.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the ETH reach $300 end of 2018? on: July 28, 2021, 02:44:41 PM
It was quite unfortunate to see many people selling their Ethereum when the bear market occured way back. If you'll see ETH's value right now compared to its value last 2018 wherein speculations are just $300, you will feel instant regret if you weren't able to hold it up until now or even just up until the bull market last year. That's the crazy thing about crypto, it is very much unpredictable but the only way it is going is upwards specially for the top coins like Ethereum. May we all learn from this and hold on to our investments cause sooner or later, it will recover and even exceed our expectations.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin season started again? on: July 28, 2021, 02:10:21 PM
I think it is too early to make an assumption that another altcoin season is occuring. There maybe a lot of good things happening with bitcoin right now, some of it might just be a very temporary increase just like what happened when the news about Amazon considering regulating bitcoin, it did made a huge impact to its price where it went up once again but after just a few days, we're down to its usual price. We all know how much altcoin is affected to bitcoin's price and situation so as long it hasn't recovered yet, altcoins will still stay down likewise.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon's future plans on: July 28, 2021, 12:45:04 PM
The news of Amazon's involvement in cryptocurrency is now spreading more and more, and e-commerce giant Amazon may take action to integrate Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies as payment methods. If the company's strategy is realized, it may become the first major e-commerce platform in the United States to integrate cryptocurrency on its platform.

https://bitcoinist.com/amazon-targeting-bitcoin-payments-seeks-crypto-product-lead/

According to insiders, this is only the first phase of Amazon. Once they "establish a fast and secure" encrypted payment method, the second phase will start. The final stage will involve the creation and launch of Amazon's native tokens. And these Amazon officials did not respond to relevant news, everything is just speculation.
https://bitcoinist.com/amazon-to-integrate-bitcoin-payments-and-launch-its-own-token-by-2022-insider-confirms/

So Amazon will use encrypted payment to attract people first, for the purpose of their own tokens in the future? Like the previous platform currency BNB, then launch the Amazon exchange?
There are also rumors, unfortunately, that Amazon itself stated that they are not going to involve the use of crypto with their transactions. If only it is a real thing or the probability of it happening is much higher than not, it would be a big help and make a huge impact to bitcoin and other cryptocurrency's price as well as their future. To be accepeted or regulated by a huge company like Amazon would build bitcoin's reputation to other big companies all over the world and it may also end up making crypto much more dominant than fiat in the near future.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safety on: July 28, 2021, 11:39:56 AM
I have read several times on this forum where people said human error is what lead to vulnerability to attack but I read that air gap computer was recommended several time on this forum is not that secure while  Malwarebytes was also said to work base on how it was programmed, that is also not that secure and I believe in the next 5-10years Bitcoin price will reach 6digit and after this happens crypto holders will be the major target of online theft.

As a preparation for what may happen now and in the future, what are the 0% error/100% step a crypto holder or investors need to follow to avoid been expose or securely save his investment from attackers?
There will always be risk on whatever we are doing specially when it deals with money. Investments in crypto was never mentioned to be completely safe, the security of your wallet or your investment itself relies on your decisions. If you are too careless with the way you choose your wallet or if in fiat settings, banks or any other investment means, you will surely be more prone and vulnerable from experiencing theft. It is indeed true that once bitcoin and other crypto's value rises, there will be more threat to the security of online wallets as well as banks as hackers gets more eager knowing how much worth they may take as they get the chance to steal from you.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy now or wait? on: July 27, 2021, 05:07:53 PM
Hi, i am wondering if i should buy a little bit of top 20 coins at current prices, 8th dec 2018, or wait until the market gets lower. What do you guys do?

I have bought the current dip, or at least... when market cap was still around 120 billion usd. Following my policy to buy after huge drops only, i planned to buy the next dip if market cap is around 60 billion usd. But should i not buy the current dip twice? Because what if the bakkt launching next month is succesful? What if it gets followed up by the ETF getting approval in the february sec-decision? What if it all comes paired with new developments that occur? Is this a realistic scenario for short-term?

What would you do, if you were following my plan/policy? I don't buy with large amounts so i can take some losses, what do you think is best?
Well, I hope you bought inested a lot during that time cause if you did, you're probably sitting on a lot of money right now if you were able to hold it. Surely, the risk and the fear upon investing during that time is insanely high yet the price would pay off if you were able to surpass it up until the time last year where there are a lot of new all time highs that went over the expectation of many. I'm not preferring only with bitcoin but also other altcoins too since they were influenced or affected with the massive increase of bitcoin's price that no one ever expected. I hope you did the right choice and were able to hold it for at least two years.
157  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it easier to HODL if you are already rich? on: July 27, 2021, 04:10:38 PM
One of those successful cases of bitcoin hodling was a friend of a friend. They (a couple) took an important risk by investing 60k of a dismissal compensation into bitcoin and making a x100 on it before selling half. I do not know what they did with the rest. Now, these people were not rich, they took an enormous risk compared to their total wealth. They had to really believe on the project and pass though some of bitcoins usual "tests of faith".

For someone with let´s say, a net worth of 1M USD or more plus house, hodling 60k until they became 6M would have been not that much of an stress. Do you think it was easier to benefit economically from bitcoin if you were already a bit up in the ladder?
If we're being realistic, regardless of how much is your net worth, even though you are a billionaire, it is not logical to hold $60k and wait until it becomes $6m specially with the current price of bitcoin. It may really give you some advantage if ever you are one of those who are up in the ladder but still you should be strategic so that you can expand your wealth even more. Risks are for everyone here in crypto, even the wealthiest still feel regret whenever they fail with their investment because their goal is to keep on progressing and not to settle on what they have even others would see it as too much already.
158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bull market back on: July 27, 2021, 03:43:13 PM
I think its too early to make an assumption just because a sudden price increase occurs. Bull run happens when bitcoin's value increases continuously and stabilize under a high value. Due to the recent events specifically the rumors about amazon accepting or considering bitcoin as a mode of payment may have affected the price movement. Nevertheless, the fact that it is just a rumor should already be a hint that such occurence will not suddenly lead to another bull run. Let us just be patient and we'll surely see another bull run in the making as bitcoin achieves new all time highs consecutively.
159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounty hunters, report spam to receive higher bounties on: July 26, 2021, 06:26:16 PM
Bounty campaigns were really good back then up until it wasn't anymore. You have the rights to report anyone you see as a shitposter considering the fact that they will take part on the profit you will be getting. It is clearly unfair that some people are not taking things on the forum seriously while you are out here making efforts to learn more and stay relevant on the stuffs you are posting yet they will get the same amount you will be receiving. Even though it is not really our responsibility and the forum will do their jobs upon cleansing the forum from shitposters, we can still make our own actions with regards to the problem.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the next bubble? NFT! on: July 26, 2021, 05:39:25 PM
NFTs are somehow leading the game right now, there's no doubt about it yet we need to avoid being overconfident on its current place in the market. Anything can happen and we do not really know how long will this good run for NFTS last. Indeed, NFT games such as Axie Infinity offers plenty of profit in the market and many are already taking advantage of it. It can either be another breakthrough for crypto or it can also lead many people into another failure. So far, its performance and good and there's nothing to worry about yet but still, always watch the price movements and read news about it.
