761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential of an altcoin on: April 12, 2021, 02:31:35 PM
Hi all, I would like to understand how to calculate the potential of an altcoin in order to understand when it is a good time to sell it.
In my specific case for example I bought INJ in December and now the profit is about 600% .
Should I compare INJ to an existing well established similar altcoin (if they exists) to understand its potential?
I know I should set in advance a price when starting to sell, but this could be 100%, 200% etc of profit but which to choose?

Thank you.
In making decision over an altcoin, you should mostly rely on your experience on it for the best possible outcomes. If you have earned much profit already and the altcoin you are currently investing on right now, exchanging the most of it wouldn't hurt you that much. Just remember to leave some of it on hold so that if ever the value of that specific altcoin suddenly goes up, you wouldn't have much regrets. Since you've been on that altcoin for a while now, it wouldn't be ideal to compare with others that appears similar to it, you can just focus on it and keep updated on the market movement so that you may know if it's the best time to exchange or to buy.
762  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: April 11, 2021, 06:32:44 PM
Just take a look how low the value of bitcoin is compared to how high it is right now and you can already see the importance of patience and faith in bitcoin. If only people from two years ago managed to predict or thought about holding atleast 5 to 10 bitcoin considering the low price, then they would have been easily became rich. It is quite understandable why there are only few who chose to hold their bitcoin during that time since the value of bitcoin on that moment just kept on going down and it looked like there are no chance of seeing it increase once again. Still, look how far bitcoin exceeded our expectations, it is truly amazing and unpredictable.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving bitcoins as a gift? on: April 11, 2021, 05:36:33 PM

I have been thinking...
Would it be totally crazy, if I gave 10-15 bitcoins to a woman, who helped me in a really really big way when I was younger.

I mean, would she think I was crazy if I do it?
Would it be a positive thing? Or just weird?

The coins were not worth much when I got them, so from that perspective, it's not THAT big a deal, right?

I would gladly give them to her, but I fear it could have a negative effect to what little friendship we have

And she is married with kids, so while I will always like her, there is no hidden agenda on my part here.

Considering the price of bitcoin right now, giving 10-15 bitcoins as a gift would definitely be crazy. Even though you managed to hold plenty of bitcoin while its value is still very low, it wouldn't be a wise decision to give some of it to someone. Also, you need to remember that the usage of bitcoin is still not relevant on many stuffs like buying things that can only be bought through fiat. Maybe it would be best if you would just start thinking about other gifts where your gratitude towards her can still be shown and it can be as expensive as you want since you mentioned, you managed to hold some of bitcoin at its lowest.
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto offer riches overnight? on: April 11, 2021, 02:43:38 PM
Crypto is one of the avenues of getting rich yet it should be understood that it does not happen overnight. Getting rich in crypto requires a lot of dedication, hard work and patience. People do not see the essence of crypto investment because they want to get rich quickly, hence, hurriedly invest in projects that follow the pump and dump trend.
Remember, one key to success is patience.
As you enter crypto, you should already prepare yourself from losing a lot of money and being patient with perseverance. A friend of me once told me that you will lose more than you'll win in trading but time will come where it will be worth it. Also, you should consider being smart and wise with your decisions in here if you really want to get rich with the help of it. Watch over the price changes all the time and see the pattern then decide whether you'll invest already or not. Patience is not only the key on winning here, knowledge and good strategy also. Nobody gets rich over night, so work it all out to make it to the very top in the future.
765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC was a lifetime chance and I don't think we will see a similar opportunity on: April 09, 2021, 06:27:40 PM
I don't imagine anything else that you'll be able to get for free or pennies and then value million times more. I just can't. No lottery will ever give you that. I admire the early adopters and wish I've been one of them, unfortunately no "friend" told me about it and I only joined in 2013 when I've found about it alone, still not bad but could have been better.
I was able to experience getting lots of profits from bitcoin during the 2017 bull run and I would love to go back on that time over and over again. If only I would be given a chance to go back to that time, I'll probably do things differently like holding the half of my earnings till bitcoin's value keep on increasing. I actually lost hope when the price dumped and it went for too long that's why I lost my commitment towards crypto. Little did I know that the value of bitcoin would once again go high and it was more than what many people expected. Indeed, bitcoin is a once in a lifetime opportunity and if you were able to know about it a long time ago and decided not to bother what good it can bring, you're probably regretting a lot right now.
766  Economy / Economics / Re: Flexible Work Schedule on: April 09, 2021, 05:27:31 PM
Being a person who can manage to work flexible should be very common nowadays. A lot of people were forced to stay indoors to prevent getting the virus that is the main issue in the world right now which ended up making the employees to commit their work inside their houses. There are different kind of being a flexible worker, it can be in terms of schedule, workplace or habits. It would be best if you can be flexible in all aspects because that just simply mean you can easily adapt to changes regardless of how inconvinient it may seem and it may lead you to promotion or better pay check. Also we should take consideration of the continuous innovation of technology in the world which helps us become more flexible in doing our jobs.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many people think that Bitcoin is not a currency with practical uses on: April 09, 2021, 03:59:27 PM
As we all know, bitcoin is not a legal currency yet and that makes it unqualified on practical uses already. The government still wouldn't agree to legalize it considsering its features that hinders them to benefit from it. Also, over the years, bitcoin ended up becoming an investment of many considering its volatility and capability to have its value keep on increasing over time. It ended being exchanged on user to user basis. Who knows what the future hold? Maybe that statement would change as bitcoin gets revolutionized as it gets more convenient and timely to use.
768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoins? Which is best to invest $30,000 in? on: April 09, 2021, 03:24:16 PM
Please give advice.

A friend has $30,000 and is new to the crypto environment, he is looking to invest all in bitcoin or split the money among promising Altcoins or just one altcoin.

What do you have to tell my Friend, if you say he should split the money and invest in many altcoins, please make public the altcoins you think have a very promising future.
Considering the fact that he is a newbie to this environment, I think making an investment is the first thing he should do. It would be best if he will familiarize himself on this platform first and learn the process so that he can make his own decision depending on the knowledge he will have. If he is really eager to make an investment, maybe he should not go all out and spend all the money he currently have on investment. Indeed, time is of the essence but it will all go to waste if he will carelessly invest without having any proper information on this new place he is entering. Time might be essential but knowledge and wise strategy should also be considered important on this platform.
769  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment the way to economic stability on: April 08, 2021, 04:05:32 PM
Investment is an essential part of life that many people failed to see. Some never planned or did any of it just because they are scared or clueless but little do they know, they are missing out the thing that will secure their future. Some ended up being a slave by the people who are on the top just because they chose to cage themselves on a never ending cycle of earning to spend. If only everyone is aware and willing to know the importance of investment, the poverty rate will surely decrease a lot but unfortunately, there much more people who settled for less and only thought about how to spend their money tomorrow without thinking what will they have to spend in the future.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does BITCOIN make a person's life better !? on: April 08, 2021, 03:14:21 PM
I think it would still depend on how a certain individual uses bitcoin. It can be a life changer in a positive way and also detrimentally. Once a person was able to use bitcoin at its fullest and wisely, he may be able to escape poverty and become wealthy all of a sudden, that's how powerful bitcoin can be. But if a person starts being obsessed with his trading and investment and ended up making wrong decisions which may lead him to lose all of the money he spent, that is how bitcoin can destroy somebody's life. So if you are looking forward in changing your life with the help of bitcoin, might as well start studying it carefully also how the process works so you wouldn't end up getting broke instead.
771  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: April 08, 2021, 02:23:20 PM
Hello from Greece,
I'd like to discuss any repercussions that stem from Covid-19 response measures (Or lockdown depending on where you are), either Economical, Psychological or anything else you can think of.

We've been in lockdown since the early days of November, only retail has been reopened and even that isn't open in every region due to a rise of cases in them. Moreover, the recent surge of cases throughout the whole country might be leading to a 3rd lockdown (like it is much different from now). Definitely, the economic repercussions are huge throughout the world, since most countries have taken extreme measures in order to suppress the pandemic. However, the combination of financial depression and quarantine, could lead to clinical depression in a respectable percentage of the population.

Seeing it from my point of view, being in home, almost 24/7, while the supermarket or to the pharmacy being the only way out is depressing and driving me nuts. We can also go out for exercise/walking. I'm living in a region that is characterized as "Red zone", everything closes at 5.30 p.m, while we cannot leave the house after 6pm. My only escape is going out cycling every once in a while.

I'd like to discuss the financial and the mental repercussions of the pandemic plus, how do you cope with the Lockdown yourself?
This pandemic stole away many individuals living, ever since it started lots of business and institutions unwillingly shut down. In my case, considering how poor our country is and their response to this pandemic, nothing's getting better. You can see lots of families here dying not only because of the virus but also because of famine. As people lose their jobs and businesses, the government continues to give off a very poor performance leading the pandemic to worsen. Lockdown has been unending ever since and the only thing the government is doing is updating the citizens of the active counts without even providing an effective solution. Mental health is also being forgotten and it's a really unfortunate life that you ended up existing on this kind of country where hope's slowly fading away day by day.
772  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin may go bull soon on: April 08, 2021, 12:53:30 PM
Bitcoin has been bullish for a long run already ever since it broke the expectation of people which is $20k and has gotten nearer to the $60k possible new all time high. As of speculations and predictions, many are indeed saying that another bull run may take place considering the demand of large institutions worldwide on bitcoin. This should already open up people's mind upon planning to buy and hold whilst waiting for the bull run to take place once again and hit another all time high. It might be risky knowing we can't really predict what would happen in the future specially when it comes to bitcoin.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid virus 2021 on: April 07, 2021, 06:33:16 PM
March 2020 when covid virus spread in our country that caused a couple of months of a total lockdown. Many people lost their job and others are now investing in crypto and joining some campaign just to earn money and continue living. Last month of March this year 2021, finally, there are already a vaccine and many Frontliner's are now vaccinated.
But why this time the number of Covid positive in our Country are increasing with new variant of Covid Virus? It seems that this pandemic has no end...There is also another lockdown. It's so sad and difficult!
What will happen to us and to our economy?
Do you think this virus will not stop?
What about in your Country?

I think now, much better to stay at home and focus on crypto rather than trying to find another job which is very impossible at this moment.
The pandemic seems to be gettting more and more worse in countries with poor health management in consideration with the new variant that seems to be spreading much faster than the first one we had. Since lockdown is taking place once again, expect the worse with your country's economy. It would keep on going down as many company and even small enterprises shut down due to the command of the government. Maybe it will calm the rapid growth of the cases but the consequence would be clearly shown in the economic growth of the country. Amidst having plenty of vaccine all over the world, it is still evident how powerful the virus is, let us keep on hoping that this would come to an end soon.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto are Same like casino slots on: April 07, 2021, 03:36:12 PM
Maybe what he is trying to say is that crypto and bitcoin compared to casino or gambling is quite similar to each other. Not similar as a whole because crypto is much more complicated compared to gambling but only in terms of being hard to predict if you'll be winning next or not. Altough the probability of winning in crypto is much higher than in gamble, it can still be seen as the same thing. Regardless of the difference between the two, you need to be brave and prepared for the consequence upon entering both. Good strategy and being smart can also be considered essential on both or else you may lose everything you currently have.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: See why most bounty hunters get scammed on: April 07, 2021, 02:59:02 PM
It cannot be avoided, there will always be those newbies and even those who have been here for so long already who ends up getting scammed just because they are too lazy to ensure that the campaign they are joining is a legit one. I've been into many bounty campaigns before the bull run of 2017 and I managed to go into different successful campaigns, although not all but still it helped me a lot in gaining profit and increasing my holding in bitcoin during that time. It wouldn't hurt even a bit to read and research about the campaign you are joining, see if the campaign manager has a reputation already or just a new one, maybe you can use it and take a look at his past campaigns to confirm if they are really trustworthy.
776  Economy / Economics / Re: How the rich get richer and why it works on: April 07, 2021, 02:24:56 PM
The way rich gets even richer is because people who belongs into the upper classes are mostly wise men that maximizes all of their resources to be able to make themselves get even richer in a way that they are prioritizing getting themselves to be included into the trend of business and finance wherein they can somehow see an assurance that they will gain for the sake of themselves. It is not always into that general idea of not giving or being greedy that makes them even richer. They were just that wise enough to think of ways on how they can still be able to do something to make the most out of it on their resources. Not all rich men are up into doing bad things or dirty works to be richer but it is the reality that some or might be many are doing such to be able to get richer.
Not only those people in the upper class are wiser, they are also much more patient compared to those who belong to the lower class. Not only in terms of waiting for the price or investments to rise but also in preventing themselves from spending too much money on expensive things that are not necessary. Most of the rich people might have been able to cheat their way to success and wealth, but others who were able to make it to the top surely spent their blood and tears with all the hardwork that's why they deserve their position right now. Some rich people might be considered evil considering the fact that they feed on the lower class working people but it could actually be considered as part of their wise strategies.
777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Think Bitcoin Save Your Economy on: April 06, 2021, 05:34:16 PM
With the recent situation with the pandemic going on. Has created many economic challenges for all.
Do you think Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency could really help people bring back their economy?

This be in the form of trading. Use of the currency? creation of? education. etc

What are your thoughts on this. Could this cryptocurrency help people give some new direction?
The economy of a certain country does not fully rely only on money and currency, it can also be about its natural resources and manpower. Even though bitcoin is currently the strongest cryptocurrency at the moment, I don't think the time is not yet ripe for it to be able to survive or lift up the economy of a whole country. Also, we should take consideration of its purpose. We should know what is the real purpose of bitcoin and many would surely argue because we define its purpose differently. Good governance and abolishment of corrupt government officials, proper trading from inside and outside the country and avoiding to abuse natural resources could be one of the best way to save the economy of a country.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt season NOw on: April 06, 2021, 04:47:59 PM
As per the all the researches. Now commenced the Alt Season. Lot of giant youtubers , Websites indicates that alt season started.

I also personally believe that April for ALT. What is your experiences and view about this ?
There are plenty of news already that announced the start of altseason. I think it would be best if you would take a look on reliable source than to listen to those youtubers which are definitely paid or gaining personal benefits as they make you believe that the altcoin they are using are at its best right now. Altseason might have started already and we should not let it go to waste, let us make the most from it and also make sure that we will be wise and smart with our decision makings. Many are saying it won't last long but who knows, maybe it will or maybe it won't, just make the most of it while it last.
779  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you can't be rich by owning crypto on: April 06, 2021, 04:16:27 PM
Bitcoin's growth will definitely affect the value of the items that can be bought with it together with its equivalent value on other currencies. Maybe you can't be considered rich in crypto regardless of the amount of your bitcoin holdings but as long as you continue to earn more, it will soon open up opportunities to you wherein you can showcase how wealthy you became because of crypto. Many people are missing the point and the difference between owning a crypto and knowing what's best to do with all the crypto you currently own. Be smart and wise with the use of crypto, someday sooner you will know its value and you will definitely be considered rich.
780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we get another golden oppurtunity to buy? on: April 06, 2021, 02:56:04 PM
Like many bitcoiners im one of the people who didnt bought bitcoin at 6000$ or even 15k or 20k$ and i wonder if its possible to see bitcoin in at least 20k again
If no should i buy now or wait more to get lower price ?
It was really unfortunate that some people weren't able to buy while bitcoin is currently at its lowest after the 2017 sudden pump. Many lost hope and never imagined bitcoin would reach the kind of value that we have right now. In terms of seeing bitcoin getting lower than $20k again, there is a very little chance of this happening. Maybe bitcoin may go down to atleast $30k or $40k but seeing it going lower seems impossible. Bitcoin has already became stable so far and even if it will face another dump, it will still be able to neutralize and stabilize its value where it wouldn't go too far from its current all time high.
