1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Southeast Asia? on: December 13, 2020, 11:00:33 PM
wow, sounds like a really interesting trip. Best of luck in your journeys and hopefully you are able to only use BTC along the way. That would be amazing.
This is a good thing for everyone. We should be supporting and encouraging each other regardless of where we come from. Bitcoin in Southeast Asia is slowly getting recognition and attention by the people. Here in my country, bitcoin has been a great trend for the youths wherein most of the time, students of colleges are the ones who uses it. There's nothing wrong about having an idea on crypto, it is actually essential if you believe that someday, at some point, crypto will conquer the world and everyone will regret not paying attention to it.

Hoping that his cryptocurrency journey will become successful because with that statement, I really understand how passionate and hard-working he is in making transactions with BTC.

I just like his courage, willingness, and how he trust bitcoin so much when it comes to investment in the long run

We just need to support him so that he continue what he is doing in crypto world.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 19-Year-Old Ukrainian Politician Owns 185,000 Monero (XMR), Bought In 2015 on: December 12, 2020, 11:40:52 PM
He's very young, but he's smart as a politician. Now he's also a millionaire.
We do not know how the Ukrainian government works, but fighting the corruption should be universal.
It's a problem that affects the economy of any country in the world.
At a very young age, he managed to foresee that buying some tokens can make him millionaire because what is the reason for him buying it on that year seeing that the price is cheap ang maybe the volume at that time is not high. Imagine how much money he gained after buying a token in such a low price. It is really such a good time to learn some trading and holding it for a long term and wait for the price to pump up.
1023  Economy / Economics / Re: Im big fan of stable coins and this is what I think on: December 12, 2020, 11:20:30 PM
I'm not really a big fan of stable coins because if you invest in that kind of coin the movement of you money is constant since the price of the token you have chosen is not rising at all. While investing on some altcoin, you can really make your own money grow by buying some token on a low price and selling it on a high price. Just make some portfolio that is solid to follow, that will be your guide to trade. In terms of china's stable coin, I dont think it can best bitcoin's dominance. I've been seeing some topics like that.
1024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friendly reminder on: December 12, 2020, 05:16:04 PM
10 years isn't too short, we don't know what will happen then. But I am pretty sure, if Bitcoin exists until 2030, then really we will be rich in holding at least one Bitcoin. But the problem is, we only see what is in front of us. Even we can assume what would happen after ten years, we don't want to invest now. If you think about it after 10 years then it's true that you aren't yet late to enter on Bitcoin. If you wondering to buy on dip then it wouldn't happen, because we don't know where the is a dip. Same like I become confused during USDT/BTC trading. I thought it will dump more, but eventually, I regret it.
There are actually lots of people become rich in just a short period of time and that is not because they are investing a lot of money, or they have a lot to begin with but they are really gaining important information on what they want to do to earn with cryptocurrency. We already know that there's a lot of ways to earn cryptocurrency such as investing, trading, mining and etc. If you bought some bitcoins since then, I think it will make you rich if you hold it for a long time until reaches the highest peak of value in particular time of the year. When the price is down, its better to hold.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As the markets remains bullish; Do the right things on: December 12, 2020, 02:31:20 PM
Make all your losses count, learn from it, and do better. But we cannot expect things to go on our way, even professional or experienced traders incur losses. Just keep moving if you incur losses and move on, and start over.  The market is a huge roller coaster ride, just enjoy the ride. Happy trading.
Failure is normal, its just that you should learn every mistake you have made in that situation. Just like you said, it should count and make your next move better than before. As of now the market is still at the high pace, and you should do the right thing whatever you do to earn tokens. If you are trading some tokens you should follow your portfolio for good income, if your portfolio is solid enough to make you gain more income. If you are supporting some projects until now, you should know or you already know what are the things to consider before supporting a project.
1026  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: December 12, 2020, 11:22:19 AM
I don't think that will happen soon since there are still countries that are not recognizing cryptocurrency and they are banning the use of crypto. And also the information about cryptocurrency is not yet known by all people. That can happen if we really adopt cryprocurrency as our method of payment. If all companies will allow the crypto as payment and the technology that involves cryptocurrency will innovate.
1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never replace fiat cash. on: December 12, 2020, 10:51:43 AM
Cryptocurrency and Fiat have both importance in their own ways. We need that to use for traditional transaction since cryptocurrency is not known by all people and not ready to use as the primary way of paying. We cannot say that it will still the same as time passes by, maybe in the future we can say that in can be use by all people as a payment method and also investments. We all know that cryptocurrency is decentralized, it is hard for the government to regulate.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to call the people into crypto on: December 12, 2020, 12:02:05 AM
Calling them is not the problem, will you be willing to guide them properly? Crypto-environment dynamic and volatile, so without guidance , you will be lost.  I have introduce some into crypto and i am still rendering assistance and guidance to them time after time.
Yes, calling other people into crypto is not a complicated problem, but guiding the people we call from zero to everything is very complicated, because it will take a lot of time and will affect our work as a whole, not to mention guidance. what we give is not properly appreciated by that person.
It is indeed difficult since cryptocurrency is very complicated that it cannot be explained easily. You need to show them how and what are the things to consider before taking part in any project if they want to invest. As of now, the knowledge about crypto is already spreading since some big companies are now adopting the use of cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin. Paypal already adopted bitcoin,  we all know that PayPal is an online payment service. I've heard that visa is trying to adopt cryptocurrency also.
1029  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network on: December 11, 2020, 11:37:03 PM
Paypal's adoption on bitcoin is one of the reasons why bitcoin is doing good right now and it's inevitable  we are looking forward to see ATH of bitcoin's price before end of the year. These adoption paved great uses of online payment system that users have now an alternative way to use bitcoin on buying online items and this testament will be forever be used in on paypal future transactions. This is just an early stage, so hoping more updates to come and more integration between crypto currencies in the platform.

There is no doubt that the adoption by PayPal is responsible for the current bull run. For almost a year (mid-2019 to mid-2020), the Bitcoin price was stagnant at around $10,000 per coin. But immediately after the news of PayPal adoption came out, the prices started moving upwards. There may be some other minor triggers, but IMO PayPal is responsible for more than 90% of the current rally.
We can see the growth of the market after the adoption of Paypal, so we can see that it has a great effect on the market when one company adopts cryptocurrency, and since Paypal is being used as an online paying service and can be used all around the world, there are lots of people who knew what bitcoin is. This really helps to spread the good use of bitcoin and to prove to them that it is not a scam. As of now, Visa is also trying to adopt bitcoin, another big company will adopt it, let us see what will happen after that.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week on: December 11, 2020, 11:17:05 PM
I can really say that you have a very good decision because you save yourself from dying since you stopped smoking and your decision to invest your money in crypto is such a good decision. As long as you know how to invest that really makes you gain income. But buying bitcoin as of now is really risky since the price is already high, you should have bought some of it when the price is at a low value so that if bitcoin pumps, your money also rises up. I wish you good luck with what you are doing now.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understand how cryptocurrency scams work? on: December 11, 2020, 10:57:05 PM
whatever it is about investing, be it projects or coins, it is highly recommended to always research in detail, such as the background of the team & Dev, especially experience in managing previous projects, what products they offer in the market, how big is the community & partners in inside etc. As an investor you need to manage finances properly and also not be greedy in taking profits.
There are actually lots of scam projects since then, there are also lots of people being scammed. That is the reason why we should really take some information about the project first before taking part or supporting that, since your own money is involved, once you've sent it to them and they intended to scam people, you have nothing to do with it. Knowledge and understanding are important before you invest because not all projects are scams. There are some people who really want to take advantage of your ignorance so be aware.
1032  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: December 11, 2020, 10:37:57 PM
Many people lost their job not only you and me but despite of that unfortunate event, we need to do something to overcome these difficulties and make our lives brighter. Always think positive and let the covid pandemic disappear but we will not. There is always a day after a night that's why even I lost my job, I still have a work in cryptocurrency to help my family survive.
This year is indeed a not prosperous year. There are lots of crises and disasters happened in our country and that makes our economy fall, especially this pandemic, there are lots of people who lost their job just like my father because the company is decreasing their employee. Many families are affected, that is why we should really do something since money can be acquired when you have dedication and eagerness to earn it. Just study and understand what you want to do before doing it.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some till don't understand crypto and bitcoin on: December 10, 2020, 06:24:43 PM
We just have to accept the fact that there will always be people who will not understand crypto fully, they will continue to exist for a very long time.

There is a great douglas adams quote that says "in technology peoples approach are the same, whatever existed when you were born were the natural order of things, whatever comes up between your age of 15-35 will be exciting and new career opportunity, whatever new after you are 35 is against natural order" and that's what I believe.

Nowadays that 35 is probably closer to 50 because tech improves very fast but I still think people approach things still the same. There are still people who do not know how to use mobile phones, not even saying smart phones, literally mobile phones that were first invented, the really old 20 year old versions.
Ignorance cannot be avoided when it comes to the knowledge of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Even how much we tell others about it each day it wouldn't be enough still. Not everyone has an interest upon learning what is it and what it does that's why even others heard about clear and vivid informations about, they still choose to ignore it. Sooner or later, people will realize what they miss out and as the use of it spread all over the world, they will have no choice but to pay attention and learn about it. In the near future, technology will continue to advance and we will all witness how essential the knowledge on bitcoin and cryptocurrency is.
1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do scams harm Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world? on: December 10, 2020, 05:59:33 PM
based on my experience since I knew about cryptocurrency, bitconnect scam (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitconnect/) was the most influential thing to bitcoin in my bitcoin journey. it was affected bitcoin negatively in my life. every time I talked about bitcoin, people will notice it as a new MLM, scam business, member get member program, or ponzi schemed business. there are also many scam crypto lending projects that were born too, during this bitconnect era. the most popular one after bitconnect was regal coin.
with these 2 big scam project, bitcoin holders were viewed with suspicion. If you are Indonesian or from SEA countries like Vietnam or Philippines, maybe you remember these scam.
not to mention, the media that always talk about the use case of bitcoin for illegal things.

Sadly, that's the situation facing Bitcoin today. No matter if another project in the crypto/Blockchain space turns out to be a complete fraud, Bitcoin gets all of the criticism. Banks and governments have a large influence over Bitcoin's negative reputation as well, as they don't want people to stop using Fiat. As long as Bitcoin has its opponents, it'll face constant criticism by the general public.

Regardless of negative comments about Bitcoin, it has managed to stay afloat after all of these years. Remember when Mike Hearn said that Bitcoin was a "failed experiment"? Yet, it's been standing strong with an ever-growing number of people backing it every step of the way. It has even reached a new ATH in price back in 2017. The decentralized and open source nature of Bitcoin will keep it going for generations no matter what happens in the mainstream world. As far as scams are concerned, I think they can be reduced to a minimum with fierce regulations by mainstream governments. Once law enforcement begins prosecuting malicious actors in mass, we can expect scams to become the minority in the crypto/Blockchain space. Ultimately, the decision of making a research about Bitcoin lies in the person himself. Anyone can either believe what it's said about Bitcoin, or simply seek more info about it to know if negative claims are true. I wouldn't worry about Bitcoin's reputation, as long as it continues to deliver as promised. Just my opinion Smiley
Obviously it does. It is quite unfortunate at some point that bitcoin had become the most famous cryptocurrency in our age because whenever a certain individual a certain scam by another cryptocurrency, without further research, as it goes public, all the blame will be given in bitcoin. Even those campaigns which involves the use of bitcoin, it will easily be put to bitcoin's reputation whenever it comes from a fraud. Nevertheless, as one of those who had the privilege to know about bitcoin, we should make sure that when we encounter a person who talks about bitcoin being a scam, let us lend some of our time and enlighten them on what bitcoin really is, through that, we won't have to worry about bitcoin's reputation going down because even just by bit, we lessen those who see it as a form of fraud.
1035  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic: good for the bitcoin market or bad? on: December 10, 2020, 05:34:05 PM
One thing that must be known and one of them is, the increase in bitcoin is greatly influenced by the growth of its users and the more people who use and adopt it will have an impact on the increase in bitcoin.
During this pandemic, many new people got involved in bitcoin and they started to realize the benefits of bitcoin during the pandemic and they made bitcoin or other crypto as an alternative source to make money, by investing, trading and other ways to get it.
Considering the fact that fiat is starting to be used less due to the threat it imposes upon being able to transfer virus to its holder makes it a great opportunity for bitcoin and other crypto to become more convenient and safe at the same time. Not only you can purchase using crypto, you can also earn money without physically touching it. At this times, we maybe witnessing a transition that is quite unnoticeable wherein cryptocurrency is slowly taking over the world given the instance of safety and precaution when we talk about money. The benefits also are way more better than fiat's that is why many people are starting to patronize the use of it.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: December 10, 2020, 05:11:55 PM
I've met thousands of questions like this and I will still answer "NO" because bitcoin is the father of crypto, even the rise of altcoins at this time is due to bitcoin that has experienced a very rapid increase and until whenever bitcoin will never be replaced
It is not really because bitcoin is the father of crypto, it has something to do with the relation of other cryptocurrencies value and bitcoin's. If we'll take a look back on how much other cryptos are affected by the sudden dump of bitcoin, we can clearly see there that no other crypto can ever replace bitcoin. Once its value rises up, other altcoins will also experience bull run that's why many are dependent upon bitcoin's price amidst investing on other cryptos because they know that if bitcoin poses a threat of dumping, all the other will also dump sooner or later.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: December 10, 2020, 04:44:29 PM
My introduction to bitcoin and the blockchain technology has increased my interest in understanding money and how economy works. It is a different form of money from what I had been used to and challenged the status quo. Bitcoin served as a catalyst which spurred me to seek to learn more about finances.
It also increased my understanding of privacy and how valuable data is and why it should be protected.
Bitcoin exposed me to this forum and the knowledge I have learnt and still learn everyday is invaluable.

Without having earned or bought a single satoshi, I would still consider my journey to have been very beneficial.
That's one of the wonder of bitcoin, it sparks the curiousity of an individual which is usually beneficial for his future. Not only that a person would be curious, he would also thirst for knowledge and seek more ways on how he can maximize the information he has and he will have here in the crypto world. Bitcoin has served as a pathway to success for many over the past years and it is indeed a fortunate experience to learn about bitcoin earlier than anyone else. Take precautions still while you are wandering ways on how to earn bitcoin because it is your responsibility once you started investing or trading in here.
1038  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: December 07, 2020, 09:57:11 PM
economy after COVID 19, we hope to recover quickly. because seeing the current economies around the world collapsing and experiencing a decline. this resulted in people experiencing distress. so I thought that maybe a way should be taken to continue accelerating the economic recovery
We are all affected because of the virus. The economy of each country is now falling down because big companies are being closed to make sure the virus will not spread and it will contain well until the vaccine being produced. We are all hoping that the vaccine will be produced this year so that everything will go back to normal and also hoping that we can recover quickly, economically. The government should recover quickly after this pandemic so that the people will survive.
1039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not Sure On Whether To Buy Crypto Or Not? on: December 07, 2020, 09:33:02 PM
I think it is good to buy some crypto (e.g. Bitcoin) for investing purposes or using in some places. If you invest in a good cryptocurrency and be patient, you could make very nice profit in time. Also, it feels very nice to use crypto on buying something too. The fees can be high as the price goes up but I believe that there will be a good solution for it in the future.
Investing in crypto is really a good idea but to invest your money at a time like this is too risky since the value of every coin is rising up and that is too expensive when you try to buy some. But if you try to support some project that will just be developed, I think it is worth risking for as long as you know the important information about the project, of what are the things you need to consider when you are supporting a particular project, since your own money is involved. There's no need to be ignorant, to avoid loss of funds.
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with crypto is more accessible than ever on: December 07, 2020, 09:11:02 PM
It means that more people open their eyes about it and adopting it. The progress of cryptocurrency until today is really great but what I like these days are those crypto cards, there are few altcoins that partners with VISA and provides a convenient service like paying crypto in different merchant because Visa is more available currently in the establishment and businesses right now. I think VISA and cryptocurrency are not an enemy they are good partners but I find them often being compared to each other.
Indeed, as big paying companies are now also adopting the use of bitcoin, there will be a big impact on the spread of knowledge about the cryptocurrency itself. They are now also adopting the use of bitcoin but not only that because they are not curious what bitcoin is and that makes them explore or study what crypto is. We all know that bitcoin is not only for paying method but also a good opportunity for investments. Paying with crypto is indeed more accessible and convenient.
