401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I lost my trust wallet! Pay reward! on: June 23, 2022, 02:19:10 PM
If I got you correctly, you had two wallets and you only have the seed phrase of the empty wallet. If so, there's nothing you can do.

I think his main account does have a balance. It's an additional wallet that is/was empty.
But, I had it in addition to the main account, which I left empty so that if someone stole my phone, they would think there was nothing there.

And he does have 12 word seed for the main account
However, I only remember the 12 words of the main account.

OP should stick with TrustWallet's guide on how to recover. It's a very friendly guide.
That's all to this situation imo
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I lost my trust wallet! Pay reward! on: June 23, 2022, 02:06:45 PM
You can follow this guide on your new device to recover your wallet

https://community.trustwallet.com/t/how-to-restore-a-multi-coin-wallet/43

It's an easy 5 step process. And don't respond to private messages, you will be contacted by plenty of scammers after this post. Just follow this above guide on a safe device, and you are good.
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another 5000 Miner BTC Sent To Binance- another dip? on: June 23, 2022, 12:29:50 PM
I don't think we should reach much into it.
Around 5,000+ bitcoins gets deposited into exchanges on a daily basis(https://twitter.com/whale_alert)

And whenever a whale tries to dump, they do it systematically. They stretch it out unless they have a dire need for cash.
Hopefully a nothingburger

404  Economy / Gambling / Re: KYC casino or no-KYC casino, but with no bonuses/no cashback? on: June 23, 2022, 12:00:31 PM
Without KYC for sure. I miss the directbet days. When you didn't even have to register to place a bet. No sane website will bring that option now. They closed down for a reason(matchfixing in some major league), and this is why KYC has become a must for big books to prevent any abuse.

But if you aren't a whale, then you can still enjoy the promos without submitting any personal documents(like stake, cloudbet). This is what I do.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 22, 2022, 11:45:42 PM

Thanks for the well wishes, but I think there could big upsets to winner of this tournament, I decided to not take big risks with this parlay bet, but still nothing seemed to be guaranteed, Entropiq are currently giving BiG quite a run for the money, and BiG need a come in the 2nd half of map 2 to get the game even, and now we head to Mirage for map 3 where all is still up grabs. BiG however, seem to have better success rate in Mirage compared to Entropiq and I hope that comes to play here.
Congratulations on your parlay That's a nice hit.
True, online CS is full of surprises. Even today we were going to witness Complexity beat Cloud 9 on inferno .-.
They choked during the final stages of the map, thanks to junior.

Entropiq played some good CS today. I had a small bet on Entropiq +1.5 maps, they didn't disappoint me.

My preds for tomorrow's roobet matches:
Astralis 2-0 Movistar
Outsiders ML - Forze
Ence 2 - 0 EF
Mouz ML - Imperal
Furia 2 - 0 9z

Les gooooo
406  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make a token resistant to negative circumstances bitcoin currently faces on: June 22, 2022, 11:38:18 PM
imo ICOs should provide an equal opportunity to everyone. The accredited investor system only widens the gap between the rich and the poor.

But then again, someone with fewer means is more prone to losing everything in such risky investments. To prevent this from happening we could have something like an exempt market dealer, but for crypto? They will vet & assess new ICOs for the general public(or the non-accredited investors), to protect them from ponzis and find suitable options according to how much risk they can handle.
This would require extensive regulation of crypto. Maybe one day  Cheesy
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is important for all the bitcoin community on: June 22, 2022, 09:23:06 PM
You have included a link to quantum computing in your post. AFAIK, sha256 is quantum hard. Only Grover's algorithm can give an advantage, and it still requires millions of qubits.

Anyhow, it won't happen in a day. There's no way. It will take decades and bitcoin will adapt to all the major changes.  Bitcoins will fork into a better hash function.

With quantum, you should be more worried about the elliptic curve and we already got Deterministic wallets as one of the safeguards.
You are worrying too early my man
408  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it possible to have a non-custodial checkout without running a full node? on: June 22, 2022, 06:56:22 PM

Most service don't ask for such confirmation, since it's not good for user experience. But if you're going to do it anyway, make sure they MUST click "I have paid" button

Yes, if a shop won't be expecting many customers then they can skip the "I have paid" part. It's more of a nuisance, and will only reduce like 15~20% of API usage.

A newb-friendly woo-commerce plugin can be made with this solution and might give that push to new entrepreneurs to accept Bitcoin as a payment method(even if they have zero technical knowledge about bitcoin itself). Given how they will be paying zero fees on it, compared to 3~5% fees on fiat payments.

The same can be done with Ethereum and ethscan for API.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iranian Government To Cut Power To Country's Legal Crypto Mining Platforms on: June 22, 2022, 04:59:11 PM
I think public energy is free in Iran, this is why it's a very good place for miners.
And they tend to cut the electricity of such legal miners almost every year when there's a strain on the grid(Which usually happens during summer).

I am sure there will still be illegal mining without any problem(and they are more in number compared to legal ones). As long as their OPSEC is good enough.

Last ~20-30 minutes to get your prediction in before I lock this thread!

I have posted about it on hltv, https://www.hltv.org/forums/threads/2646893/are-you-on-bitcointalk
Hopefully, we will get a few more predictions

Anyhow, good luck to everyone!

413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wechat tag violation rule on cryptocurrency accounts on: June 22, 2022, 12:05:25 PM
This isn't new tho, Wechat has always been strict about crypto.
They would frequently ban accounts that are "publicly" involved in crypto trading on their platform.
This will change nothing and will have zero impact on the market.

Just search "wechat bitcoin", and you will know what I mean. There are articles spanning from 2018 about such bans.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Death of Etheruem mining - Predicitions on: June 21, 2022, 11:26:49 PM
Not only that but even the difficulty has gone from 12.79 P the lowest in these last couple of days to near 15 P which is currently at 14.74 P and this only shows no one is turning off their rigs, small or big miners are continuing to mine.I am continuing to mine also and I have also plan B to switch my rigs to Ethereum Classic if Ethereum goes PoS for real during this year (personally I believe that would be the dumbest move the Ethereum developers can make but who am I to judge).
According to ethscan, the difficulty has only gone down in the past couple of days.

I was GPU mining from 2014 onwards.. 2 years before ETH was born.. you know what? there was tons of coins to mine.. Yes ETH holds most the hash power now but I'm sure it will be fine when ETH goes POS.. It will be like 2015 Smiley
Yes, there will always be tons of coins to mine with GPU. But it won't be profitable in almost 98% of cases. The rest of 2%, will only give you cents per day on a high-end GPU.
The space will be left with enthusiasts and hobbyists.

Bla bla Bla
 eth mining is dead
eth mining will be dead

I am mining and mining and

mining looks good to me as of today!

415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El-salvador bitcoin investment is underwater on: June 21, 2022, 10:59:31 PM
They're using Bitcoin as a digital currency, not as a stock investment to HODL
They are not. Only like 50,000 people use it, in a country of 6.5 million.
And even those 50,000 people have to use "USD" as the base value for its conversion while paying(and business owners can refuse to accept BTC, in such cases it will be converted to fiat via some chivo app for customer)

He's literally burning people's money. Idk how bitcoin community can support this scum just because he bought a few coins  Huh
He's still a tyrant.
416  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CEX Script or source code using API on: June 21, 2022, 10:46:16 PM
Using other exchange's API to fulfill trades on your own exchange seems like an impossible idea  Huh

Your API access will be limited within first minute of operation even if there are only 50 users on your exchange lol
Then there's the question of latency. You can't use multiple exchange's API without facing higher latency on most of them. Given how volatile crypto market is, most of your orders may not even get fulfilled due to added latency.

Let's forget about the technical viability of this method and talk about the financial aspect.
How will you make any profit on it?? Will you be charging double fees on every trade? Because you will have to pay a fee to those exchange too on each trade. If yes, then why will anyone use your exchange??

What's your endgame bro

Sounds like you are mocking them on why they make bitcoin as one of their legal tender on this bear trend. While it looks like same like you are too bullish when they annouced it on the very first place.
At least El Salvador's president knows when someone lost in bitcoin investments — you only lost when you sold.
He deserves to be mocked. Imagine using taxpayers money to invest in a high-risk asset. It's monopoly money for him.

He's a narcissistic douchebag, pretending to care while he gives zero shit about what's going on in the streets of El-Salvador. It's all a ruse. His police report fake numbers, he pays off gangs, fires whoever criticizes his policies in the government, and replaces them with his lapdogs.
I am glad that bitcoin crashed, that fcker deserves this humiliation
419  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it possible to have a non-custodial checkout without running a full node? on: June 21, 2022, 07:37:36 PM
Generate addresses from xpub(ypub for segwit), you can find many trusted open source libraries to do so.

Ask for confirmation from your customers when they send the payment("I have paid" button).

Keep a track of confirmed payments with explorer APIs. Blockchain.com offers WebSocket where you can subscribe to an address, make sure to subscribe to only confirmed payments.  Unsubscribe to old addresses to be under their API usage limit.

This method is noncustodial and free. A solid option for small shops  Smiley

In the Blast premier final, navi won the navi vitality match. Navi clearly had the upper hand. They were very good as a team. Vitality didn't show much of a presence. Except for their talented player zywoo, the rest of the players were really bad. Navi seems to be the heavy favorite in all tournaments if they continue like this.

Tomorrow the last 2 matches for the esl pro league season 16 qualifiers will be played.
I'm looking forward to the Heet-Falcons match, it looks like it will be very competitive. Looking at their previous matches, neither side has a clear advantage over the other.

For some reason teams with a stand-in get a buff
Faze with jks
Ence with snax
OG with degster
and now navi with sdy

There's clearly a pattern here lol
Going to bet my house on the next team which plays with a stand-in /s

For some reason HEET have been choking on Dust2, even tho it's supposed to be their home turf. 322? Possible. After all, they all are washed-out players, might as well rig matches and make some retirement fund lol
It should have been Heet 2-0  Cry

And now finest is losing to Sinners with coach. Tier 2 is full of 322 moments lol
