RANK BASED REWARD BREAKDOWN :

Are you paying 0.0017/week? Or 0.0017 for two weeks? The breakdown is very confusing, at first I thought you were paying 0.0085 to every full member for two weeks.
It would be great if you could add more details about the payment.
1022  Other / Meta / Re: Why Negative trust for Spaming ? Why not BAN them ? on: January 23, 2018, 03:16:19 PM

I know all this. I am waiting from these 3 members to reply me to my newly created this thread.  Grin Grin

This is just in other way telling them to BAN also to feed their day... lolz
They wished they had those rights too of Baning  Cheesy
Finally lunda is Landa . The Cat Tongue

Instead of bitcointalk, you need to spend more time at https://www.reddit.com/r/EnglishLearning
Neither landa nor lunda are in DT list.
You need to work on your spellings too.

Stop being a pleb and work on things that matters.Don't waste your only life here for a few quick bucks.

Good luck!

Lauda DOX'ed? XD
1023  Other / Meta / Re: Why Negative trust for Spaming ? Why not BAN them ? on: January 23, 2018, 02:47:36 PM
Only moderators can ban someone.
They are from the DT list.Campaigns don't hire accounts which are tagged by DT1,DT2 list members.
.
You are oblivious of such a simple fact, even after making 422 posts.Strange.

DT members (Lunda / Pharmist / Actmyname)
Who's lunda?
1024  Other / Meta / Re: Can this help in reducing spam? on: January 23, 2018, 10:26:32 AM

imagine a smart account farmer who managed to hold 10+ bctalk accounts rank senior
he could then get anyone in trouble just by targeting a user and tagging his posts as spam

Yup, farmers can misuse this to target accounts.
Then how about changing the period from 24 hour to 1 week.
One account can report the other only once a week.
And all the accounts will be checked by mods before a permanent ban.

Or allow only DT members to report a post as spam?

Edit:I don't think we need any solution. DT members are tagging all the shitposters. Kampai!

1. Spam protection shouldn't be optional. If you want to stop spam in your thread, make it self-moderated. Anything else should be applied globally.
Yup, applying it globally makes more sense.

Quote
2. Not only Newbies spam, spam happens on higher ranks too. All Newbies who get through without being banned eventually get a higher rank.
All user can be reported regardless of their rank.

Quote
3. The "spam score" shouldn't be a fixed value, it should be a percentage of the posts a user makes. But even then, it can be abused. Suppose I don't like you: I'm Legendary, so I only need to report 5 of your 113 posts as Spam to get you banned for a week!
You can report someone only once in a day.And the score will reset after every 24 hours.

Quote
To be honest I always wondered if my reports ever had any action on them, because I never received follow-up... so I stopped reporting people
Exactly.
Mods aren't robots, it's impossible for them to ban every spammer.

1026  Other / Meta / Can this help in reducing spam? on: January 21, 2018, 04:15:04 PM
I have thought of a way to discourage campaign spammers and might help the forum maintain its integrity.

An addition of spam protection option in the "Additional Options" Sections:

https://i.imgur.com/io5QP2B.png

Each reply on such spam protected topics will have an option of reporting it as a spam
https://i.imgur.com/uRyLaJG.jpg

Only user's above member(or a certain activity), can report a reply as SPAM. A reply can be reported only once by a user.
Each report will carry a different score(depending upon the rank of the reporter).
For eg:
A legendary/hero/Senior/Full members report will carry a score of 6/5/3/2.
Once a user's spam score reaches(or exceeds) a certain value(maybe 30 in this example) in a day, he/she will get a cooldown period of 7 days and won't be allowed to post on spam protected threads(below).
If a user gets more than 2 CDs in a month, then permanent ban?

Spam protected threads will stand out from other threads, maybe like this :

https://i.imgur.com/icfShm7.jpg

This will help people to differentiate between a serious and a BS topic.

Or we can apply this spam reporting globally, without the spam protection option.

1028  Local / India / Re: buying from amazon.in using purse.io on: January 21, 2018, 02:47:18 PM
Last I checked, Amazon.in products were not available Purse.io. They offer Amazon.com only.
No, they offer amazon.in too.

But you are better off selling your bitcoins at an Indian exchange.Since purse.io follows the US market price and bitcoins in indian market are more expensive.
And there is a possibility of meeting a scammer/carder.Avoid if possible.
1029  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty,dummy accounts, Buying / Selling on: January 21, 2018, 12:31:03 PM

How is merely stating facts rude? Take a look for yourself in the Bitcoin Discussion section or Offtopic/Beginners & Help, and tell me how many of the posts there are written without any mistakes.

Those post are indeed a pile of trash from third world countries.
And not all non native speakers post "garbage".That's all I want to say.Peace  Smiley

Lets not go off-topic, OP wants to talk about the spam generated from bounty campaigns.Lets help theymos in finding a solution, instead of playing the blame game.

How about changing the waittime?

Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);

Maybe change the threshold activity to 30? It can discourage spammers, not much tho.
1030  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty,dummy accounts, Buying / Selling on: January 21, 2018, 10:12:24 AM
So far, as far as I know, he gives neg-trust not because they are coming from third world countries or something like that, but because of the low quality of their post in this forum.

Then he could have framed his opinion in a better way.

Quote
if you can't speak the language that you're trying to write, then your posts are going to be garbage.
Maybe he can't speak out his mind clearly or maybe he really thinks non native speakers can't convey their thoughts in English. Either way, this guys is rude and unsophisticated.
Lets stick to the topic OP wants to discuss about.

I get how lucrative it is, but if you can't speak the language that you're trying to write

This made me cringe so hard on your stupidity.Read your reply again, is this really what you want to say? Maybe your brain can't comprehend the real reason?

It's not about the "language" but about the poverty in those countries. This forum is getting spammers not because they can't speak "english" but because they live in a competitive capitalist country with near to zero opportunities.
Yea, they do write BS.But again, its not about whether your mother language is english or not!
So stop targeting all the non-native speakers.

Otrkid, don't hijack this thread with your frustrations.
Orkid deleted his reply, he said something about vod adding The Pharmacist to DT list.
This forum is really losing its credibility in all fields.
1032  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty,dummy accounts, Buying / Selling on: January 20, 2018, 10:22:53 PM
Bitcoin is moving into its mature phase as a store of wealth. But it is difficult to discuss that here. The easy solution is to ban all account sales. Stop discussing all those micro-payment earners like faucets, and don't advertise them. If you want to earn money from posting, then there are plenty of forums to advise you about it. Don't allow the promotion of ponzi schemes or the selling of stolen goods.

How much would that impact advertising revenue?

You can still have serious discussion here by making your thread self-moderated.But the number of mature threads are very low, and they get lost amongst the threads created by spammers.
I think the threads which are self moderated should be highlighted(by changing the color of title maybe), which will make it easier for people to differentiate between a thread and trash.
I think this will be a good idea to refine this forum.

Theymos has already denied the idea of ban on campaigns.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if coin is overpriced or undervalued on: January 20, 2018, 02:59:57 PM
Easy. Look at other ALTS on the market and see where they are doing. Do they have a superior technology/ token economics or team behind it? If once you've done your research yu will the be able to see if this coin is overpriced or undervalue. For example... STK by STACK is coming out soon (a mobile touch payment app for crypto) other competition like TenX and Monaco have had 13/14$ rates - STK has a working product and far superior tech so it will surpass that easily so i will HOLD until then. Smiley

Agreeing with peach, look at how and where the coin can go.Compare it with other similar coins. Then you will be able to guess whether the coin is a true bubble or not.

Just look at doge and how it is going up.
Even though the dev team haven't done anything special since last year.It didn't even have any major update since last two years, and still it reached a market cap of 2B$.Making doge an obvious bubble!
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 0.00030000 Bitcoin Cash FREE give away by Casinolize.com - Can apply 2nd time on: January 20, 2018, 02:11:46 PM
Make sure to use a different password.
Anyone with just your username and password can gain access to your bitcointalk account.Judging by the details of the promotion there could be a chance that OP wants to know your bitcointalk accounts password.

I am not accusing them of stealing accounts but don't be surprised if you lose your account after signing up at this casino with same password.
You have been warned.
1035  Economy / Gambling / Re: Has anyone used fanobet? on: January 19, 2018, 09:10:51 PM

Looks like they did an exit scam. GGWP fanobet!

Finally after 2 months fanobet paid me back Smiley
They gave back the exact bitcoins.Which turned out to be a huge profit for me, thanks to the bubble XD
https://i.imgur.com/giHyWIu.png

They are slow but if they are giving good odds then go for them  Cheesy

Good to know that you received your funds back, I knew that fanobet are legit.

I think that you better be sharing the method that you used to get your funds back(what did you do in order to contact them).

Next time when you have a deeply seriously problem against gambling site, you can always report it at the Scam Accusations section, it usually attracts some attention from the site owners and will make your problem to be solved much quicker then it should have been.

Yes, but I don't think fanobet have any representative at bitcointalk here.I asked the live chat, they had no idea about bitcointalk lol
But yes, you can find people with similar problem here.

That's nice to hear, but I'd not go for them, no matter what odds they gave.
If I'd have to wait for months until I could see my money again, I'd never choose that path.

Fanobet doesn't seem to give magnificent odds anyways. Maybe in some rare cases it might be worth it, but I recommend sticking to reliable Betting Platforms.

Though I'd love it if a sportsbetting platform gave me 1000 Bitcoins in 2010 and now decides to pay it back.
I wouldn't mind it though if a sportsbetting platform holds my currency, as long as it grows fast.

-=-=-
On another note: Thanks for agreeing with me about Bitcoin being in a bubble. Turns out to be hard to convince people of it nowadays.

They had many accounts that lost balance due to the trade ban on their steam accounts, thus the delay in refunding me.Hopefully they paid back everyone. They are like a bad version of directbet, they do almost everything manually and slowly.
And I could only find fanobet to place bets on CSGO and other esports.Nitrogen sports shows an option for esports, but you can't find any game to bet.
Still gonna look for an alternative, since they blacklisted my country.

haha yes, the price graph was almost similar to rodrigue's bubble graph till this Sunday. Now I think it might be an S curve adaption too.But bitcoin will always be a bubble, because of no real backing.
Edit:Nitrogensports does have active esports matches.Their starting soon section of esports is broken so I thought they have no matches. But they have a high withdrawal fees of 0.001 BTC
