401  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] titanicons.com - Deposits accepted, Withdrawls denied on: August 24, 2021, 02:14:13 PM
You just got scammed by the oldest scheme in the books of scams out there. This type of scams have been used by scam call centers to trick people into thinking that they have a lot of money in the bank and that the money that they have is a mistake on the company side and that they have to bring back the money through gift cards but in your case it's crypto.
402  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Buff.bet unfairly closing account and confiscating 399mbtc balance on: August 24, 2021, 01:38:33 PM
The only people who can lock the topic is the person who created a topic or in extreme cases the forum administrator(possibly the mods but i'm not sure). So my guess is buff88 locked the topic hoping this accusation will just disappear, but in reality has just made it worse on himself and the site.
Totally bad for them, they've fan the flames to get more bigger with that deed because they are implying that they're guilty and that they don't have any plans to resolve the issue they have against OP.
403  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: No one is perfect and anybody can make mistakes on: August 23, 2021, 06:08:15 PM
Seems that someone has a Cassandra Effect in them, they did tell that Dogeporn Finance won't pay but no one listened and here we are being mad about them not paying their bounty hunters, I don't know how many times do we have to look out for this types of stuff before we learn not to trust every bounty out there.
404  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] KudooChange - Fake Exchange on: August 23, 2021, 05:22:23 PM
I find it extremely appalling that fake exchanges tend to scam people through fake giveaways. To be honest, if a newbie visits that fake exchange and inputted the code, he/she would be surprised to see that kind of BTC in his account. But the catch is, they have to deposit 0.01 btc to the account in order to withdraw the amount.
These fake exchanges are truly horrific as they can clearly catch anyone off-guard with this antic.

I applaud you OP for sharing and busting fake exchanges such as this one. If I were a newbie and I encountered this kind of scheme, I would most likely fall into this trap.
Not everyone, if a person has a common sense, they will be able to prevent themselves from becoming a victim of this scam, I mean in this day and age, who's sane person is going to give away their money for free, remember what they say, that if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin on: August 23, 2021, 04:41:24 PM
That's just dumb, either you starve and die of starvation or you live, you choose. You can't bring bitcoin into the grave, there's a reason why they call it health is wealth because how are you going to enjoy your profits if you will spend it on hospital or if you're dead?
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dark Web Drug Dealer Indicted for Laundering $137 Million in Bitcoin From Prison on: August 23, 2021, 04:09:08 PM
I think this is nothing new related to drug money laundering by buying bitcoin and this has happened very often not only with drug money but also a lot of money with other crimes committed to buy bitcoin on the stock market, of course every country has its own their respective officers to uphold justice or to apprehend the perpetrators of crime, let alone the proceeds to buy bitcoins
Of course it's nothing new, people have been using that ever since, I mean that's how I've learned of bitcoin, through watching YouTube videos about different topics like this one. Also, there's more ways to launder money now, this person is just sloppy so he got caught, one is caught but another two has slipped by.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is reconstructing the world on: August 23, 2021, 03:35:44 PM
bitcoin is reconstructing the world, in fact the emergence of bitcoin gives us freedom, and makes it easier for us to make transactions and investments, without any government intervention and third parties, bitcoin has given us a way, now the choice is all in our hands, which way we will take it, the path of success or the path of destruction, but we must have a little capital to do bitcoin business, if we have no capital at all it will be very difficult for us to play in bitcoin..
Totally agree with the freedom part, this is the most liberating feeling that I've ever had ever since bitcoin, what I mean by that is that I am not a slave to the companies and the society just because I don't have money. The feeling that you don't have to ask for help from others to buy you so.ethingis a liberating feeling not to mention that it changed the lives of many people.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Visa purchases first NFT and crypto prices skyrocket. BTC passes $50k resistance on: August 23, 2021, 02:54:38 PM
CryptoPunks are still making money, the hodlers of that NFT are definitely enjoying big profits right now. I feel like Visa should also get into the market of Axie Infinity and try to build a team there, I mean they can probably use scholarships as a way to promote their company in cryptospace.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Singapore Police Say Crypto-Related Crimes Keep Rising across the Country on: August 23, 2021, 02:19:03 PM
Of course, what's so surprising about that? The popularity of crypto is growing and this is inevitable.
What's surprising is that they are actively chasing cybercrime which is expected to result from reduction in cyber crimes and crimes committed with some sort of use with crypto or bitcoin but it didn't happen so it's surprising plus crypto just got more popular than ever even though it's already a decade since bitcoin was born.
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting bitcoin as payment for my business on: August 23, 2021, 01:42:08 PM
I accept bitcoin as payment for my business, I think you have done a good job, because by accepting bitcoin for your business, your customers will automatically increase, and your company will be more widely known, and for sure your company will progress too.
I would've said that it won't work but given how famous bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are right now, I think that this is the right way to go, back then I was skeptic about it since not a lot of people knows a thing about them. Progress I guess is a good thing for bitcoin.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still have thoughts of picking Gold over Bitcoin, read this. on: August 23, 2021, 12:59:35 PM
I think the future belongs to that bitcoin, but we must not forget that gold has always been a very good and safe area for investors and will be the same in the future, but bitcoin will be higher than gold and bitcoin will be rarer in the future. It will be made of gold
Gold's hot in the eyes of a malicious person so it's not an advisable investment unless there's a safekeeping and it's going to cost a lot of money for a little amount, unlike with bitcoin, you can probably buy bitcoin and double or even quadruple your money in a short amount of time compared to what you can get with gold in the same amount of time.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some individuals hostile to Bitcoin? on: August 23, 2021, 12:25:46 PM
Honestly, it's pretty silly to hate Bitcoin. It's just currency. And even if something did not work out for you, you should blame yourself.
Not for the people who was hostile to bitcoin, they either see it as a threat, a scam or a trauma. A threat because they might be working on a field that is threatened by the advent of bitcoin, scam because they are archaic and their mindset is that it has to be an established infrastructure to be considered an investment, and trauma because they got scammed using bitcoin that they find it hard to deal with them.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the popularity of Bitcoin on: August 21, 2021, 07:00:26 PM
As more people knows about bitcoin, the more the demand increase and with the current supply that's not quick to be replenished due to more difficult blocks being mined to get bitcoin, the prices will definitely go up, not to mention that the price of bitcoin is also limited in supply.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: F*CK BITCOIN. USELESS COIN BACKED BY NOTHING. Stablecoins are the future. on: August 21, 2021, 06:23:47 PM
"First they call it scam, then they investigate & later they embrace it." Do you know whom I'm referring to? Yeah, you probably got it right if you are a crypto news follower. Therefore, eventually, you will regret for your saying like JP Morgan did.
I don't think that OP is that kind of person that's going to embrace it and convert from hating into using bitcoin, just basing from his/her verbiage, I assume that OP is a fanatic that will probably have a hard time changing their views in the world, so we are actually wasting our time replying to this thread because OP's hate will persist and serve a beacon for other haters of bitcoin like @proudhon.
415  Other / Meta / Re: We need a new global moderator. on: August 21, 2021, 05:51:22 PM
What I worry though is that we might see a tyrant GM rising that will probably Frodocooper a lot of discussions if you know what I mean. Probably it's that we do what @suchmoon is doing, ignore. It's a bliss sometimes.
416  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] Tackling the spam on: August 21, 2021, 05:09:37 PM

About the OP thing, most of the time the first few replies would already address the concern/ issue. It's just that those posters downright tend to ignore anything else because they don't want/ plan to engage with other users:
Well, if that's the case then shouldn't it automatically be locked or the mods should've locked it already if the issues addressed already since most incoming replies would just be a tangle of the OP and I feel like we need more of this engagement thing with users creating this threads.
417  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] Tackling the spam on: August 21, 2021, 04:32:47 PM

Then there are those that might not have time to post consistently over the week which could be due to an IRL job, and when they realize they're falling short of the minimum threshold, they burst post.
I don't have any qualms with quota, it makes you work hard for what you have. I feel like those people that burst post because of having other jobs is an excuse, I mean it's not like posting in the forum is time consuming, pretty sure that people will find a way to complete their quota. Also, isn't that the point of posting in the threads? To answer the OP if it's your first post in that thread?
418  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] Tackling the spam on: August 21, 2021, 03:57:00 PM
For the wearers of signatures, how will it be considered a spam, I always try to chase the maximum posts per week and I don't burst post. Will I be affected by this because I feel like it attacks those campaigns that pays per post?
419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all your assets, Investing in Bitcoin is really a madness or beneficial ? on: August 21, 2021, 03:22:48 PM
I would vote for absolute madness because that's counter to the principle of invest on what you can afford to lose and that family just did the opposite, I know that they will get the profits in the long-term but they still have to survive before that happens and it's going to take a long before that can happen.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South African Man Loses $900,000 Worth Of BTC After Accidentally Deleting Keys on: August 21, 2021, 02:40:31 PM
It is better to store BTC in an online wallet, such as COINBASE .
This is the dumbest way to store your bitcoins, remember that if it's not your keys then it's not your coins. Haven't you heard of hacks done against online wallets and other online wallets that disappeared together with the cryptocurrencies that were stored in their website?
