401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BEAM | Mimblewimble | Private | Scalable | No ICO | No Pre Mine on: January 23, 2019, 08:28:11 AM
Hello.
A couple days ago i am open an account on HotBit and opened a wallet deposit address for BEAM.
Stared mining BEAM at a SparkPool with success with address from HotBit.
Now, just now, i am logged to a HotBit to check BEAM transfer from a SparkPool to HotBit wallet deposit address and i am horrified Sad
BEAM wallet deposit and withdrawal address are blocked... No deposit and no withdrawal... Oh my God Sad

Any other exchange or some advice what to do?!

TNX

I have successfully used chainrift to buy beam.
Hotbit is mostly fake volume created by bots, better to avoid that one. I think they have closed deposits.

I'd advise you contact hotbit. I did a successful trade on chainrift this morning and the transaction and tx went through flawlessly, in minutes.

Anyone seen a mining profitability calculation for BEAM? Assume its minimal given most big GPU hash is on it?

I think f2pool has a calc, not sure how accurate it is though.

Can You PLEASE specify MAX supply and emission in the OP
Do the early ''investors'' really get 20% of the CentralFUND?

No they don't. They get 40% of the treasury fund.

The treasury fund is 20% of all mined coins.

and 40% of that 20% is reserved for the private investors.
I reckon this project has done right. It never pretended to be anything that it is not... it's a startup business and startups need funds. We can all see the sheer amount of work going into this on a daily basis and as far as i am concerned, i can mine and my coins stay in my wallet it's all good. There is always a risk with a DAG like mimblewimble but with the funding this project has, it means they can choose which developers they want to assist when needed. I have every confidence in both grin and beam.
And of course, old skool pools like http://beam.sunpool.top really turn me on... its like 2011 all over again

Does this mean that 8% of all mined BEAM is paid out to the 13 Corporations in the 'Investors' section of the BEAM website every quarter year forever?

Beam is not unlimited supply, so not entirely "forever". The 20% treasury tax is only taken during the first 5 years. This is how I understand it.

you should read the position paper https://docs.beam.mw/BEAM_Position_Paper_v0.2.2.pdf

Is there anywhere we can track circulating supply yet?

Also, list of exchanges?

there is a new bot in the discord channels which shows exchanges and price, also pools and block emissions - https://discord.gg/TA5MJpZ
you can see circulating supply on the block explorer page.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BEAM | Mimblewimble | Private | Scalable | No ICO | No Pre Mine on: January 15, 2019, 07:56:28 AM
What price was on token sale? Icodrops says that token sale ended but no details about price etc..
https://icodrops.com/beam/

And where Beam coin trading already? Coinmarket dont showing BEAm coin and I find only at Vinex exchange ( exchange from Midas wallet), but there is no sell or buy orders:
https://vinex.network/market/ETH_BEAM

Any other exchange or tokens still locked?

BEAM never spent ICO - 3 Jan is the launch date of mainnet. The information from the website you specify is inaccurate and misleading.

For example, on this exchange you can buy/sell BEAM and see the dynamics of value https://bitmesh.com/exchange?market=usdt_beam#/

They also didnt have have private sale or pre-sale? How coins distributed than?  This coins which selling on exchange is from mining only?

investor coins are paid quarterly, 40% of the rewards tax are paid to investors, so to answer your question, yes, all coins on exchange are coins which have been mined.

relax @trucobit , even police investigation takes time. how much did you loose in safetrade? 0.0001 btc?

what is your account user? let them check what is your balance.

Do not treat us like fools. You must file a police report about the 7 btc that you have been robbed, and at least present that documentation to the people who will not collect the BTC that they have stolen from you.

If they do not present it, if there is no complaint about the hack, the logical thing to do is to think that something is happening, or they have stolen yourselves, or simply they are not a company or pay taxes or anything.

Right now I'm going to investigate where you are from to send an email to the authorities that charge taxes.

I have a company and I have my name, or vat number, my address etc ... and you have something ?. or are a group of cronies who have made a crypto outside the law.

I am not the one who has to prove anything, it is you, the ones who have taken the money, the ones who have to prove that they have stolen it. And the words do not work for me, we want a police report that reflects the theft.

If you do not present it, everyone will believe that it is a lie and that you have stolen yourselves. And more when now they have decided not to open again safe.trade, they will change their system.

Much safe, and more safe and you are very unsafe. They only have the name. But what is your company? Your vat numbers, the constitution of your company ......

I'm going to do to find out if you at least are a company, because I believe that they are not a company, they are friends who have created a currency regardless of legality, and I think that you or one of you because there are many in the team, have stolen themselves.

It is very easy to be on the team when everything is going well, but when something goes wrong, they manipulate, they lie and they do not file a report to prove their truth ... You are thieves

if you have lost money to some hack, then you should advise the police about it.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BEAM | Mimblewimble | Private | Scalable | No ICO | No Pre Mine on: January 13, 2019, 10:17:16 AM
Sunpool.top now has full worker support

if you are looking for an old school pool, built from the ground up, with the lowest 0.4% fee and min payout of 1Beam daily - give it a ping and see what latency you get. It's based in the EU so if you are over on this side of the planet, you could do a lot worse.

disclaimer: I do not work for sun pool, I'm just a miner giving a recommendation.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SAFE] Safecoin - Komodo Fork - Safe.Trade - Equihash 144.5 (Zhash) on: January 12, 2019, 08:41:42 PM

Right as we speak, people, including me, are calculating, auditing, evaluating, discussing and working on solutions to refund every single penny

Decent.
I think at this point it is best to give the workers space to work on this, and the time to collate the required funds to refund losses.

Where this coin can be bought at this moment ? I see discussion where someone wants to sell at $1 that looks nice offer. I just joined telegram but till need time to understand what has been discussed. A coin with such features and lot of positive hype is really cheap at this price and looks good investing opportunity without any doubt.

here for example
https://www.hotbit./exchange?symbol=BEAM_BTC
after we go to coinmarketcap and whattomine
price of this coin be increase, but this is my opinion.

do not use Hotbit
Why?

the majority of their volume is fake.
they have a min cashout of 500Beam
they demanded a fee of 0.3ETH to allow a deposit of 0.23ETH from me.

avoid Hotbit.

Due to beam being very new tech, it's always advisable to ensure that your wallet is at the correct block-height before initiating any send or receive.

I learned this tonight when I had a wallet stuck at a block previous to the current block Smiley

I want to know how to get the token!

how to buy?

BEAM is a great project ,many miners follow it ,need more and more exchange ,because it's not easy to mine. just want to buy

What is the going rate for the tokens? Any sellers?

you can buy /sell on BISQ - it is a fully decentralised exchange, which is much better than using any of the other centralized exchanges.

SPARKPOOL does not publish blocks mined
SPARKPOOL has over 60% of the network

for these reasons alone, you should NOT be mining there. if you do not know why, you simply shouldn't be mining.

Spark working normal. But if you don't like Chinese language,
you can reconnect to another pool. I receive >16 BEAM's   :-)

if 'working normal' means you are happy to let them hide which blocks they mine, then feel free.
it's got nothing to do with language.

Is this from a previous experience with another currency or do they do this with Beam? If so, how can we verify this?

you can verify it by trying to find the block list of the pool - you won't find it because it's hidden.

It's true that they'd better be much more transparent, but having said that there's no way to audit ANY pool, even when they are displaying all blocks found by the pool. The only way to come close to auditing the pool is to see how much your miner is earning over a period of time with the network difficulty throughout. I'm not supporting their lack of info here but don't trust a pool just because they are displaying the blocks, as far as checking pool integrity, it's worthless information.

This also is true, there are many many ways that a pool op can skim the coins you mine but it is also easy for a pool op to list all payouts from each block at the UI, which would encourage miners to feel more trust for a pool.
