401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies Who Missed the Boat on Bitcoin, Read This on: April 15, 2014, 12:58:37 PM
no one missed the boat, this is just the beggining, wait two years from now which will go fast, price is gonna boom
WHOOO TO THE MOON!!!!!!
ok. hoping the downtrend is over for btc and cryptos in general.  it might be a good time to get some $$$ ready and start watching the crypto market.

for the people who missed the boat on btc, check ripple out. you can read the ripple white paper here:  https://ripple.com/ripple_primer.pdf

if you need wallet activation just say 'hi' and give a little introduction of yourself here:  https://xrptalk.org/topic/1415-the-got-jed-initiative-a-proactive-xrp-giveaway/ , and we'll send you 25 xrp to activate your wallet.

to get money in ripple, just follow this guide:  https://xrptalk.org/topic/1770-guide-to-ripple-gateways-how-to-move-money-in-and-out-of-the-ripple-network/

btw, you can create a ripple wallet here:  https://ripple.com/client/#/login
Don't spread that ripple crap here. If you want to advertise for it, do it in the alt-coin section!
Also, 25 xrp is not worth anything. It's just needed to activate the wallet (as you said). And then what? Buy ripples? No need. Better buy bitcoins!

Well I might be new to this forum but I have been " in game " for quite some time now, little more then 2 years. I haven't started during "golden" times when you were able to mine 100+ BTCs per day but well, I am happy with what I made so far Smiley
I'm 37 years old, married with children, just not like mister Bundy Smiley I like adventure, skydiving, sailing.... but I don't have much time to pursue those things now. I'm also a game geek to some extent :)My motto is, life is too short, so why don't make memories last longer.
Sounds like you have a quite nice life then? Smiley
How did you get into bitcoins to begin with?
403  Other / Off-topic / Re: What torrent program do you use? on: April 15, 2014, 12:41:00 PM
uTorrent, for obvious reasons. A (very) tiny BitTorrent client.

But I must say it has been a bloatware since a last few releases; tries to install 3rd party tools when you install free version. And pushes you to buy the 'Plus' version every now-and-then.  I mean, REALLY? Who the fcuk wants a PAID version of a torrent client?
Switch to another client then. There are many open-source, non 3rd party installing clients. Transmission for example only ask you to donate once in a while on start up.
404  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: April 15, 2014, 12:37:15 PM
firefox for sure, many addons help me a lot
make browse internet faster and easier

what is Tor ?
The onion router, it's a network where your data goes through other computers in the network, and finally leaves the network through a exit node. It makes it almost impossible to trace your internet use. https://www.torproject.org

"it's none of our fault" - please, elaborate,
what is this "our" that you are representing? humankind? your multiple personalities? etc.?

Why are you so mad? I don't get it.
Our, us, the ones who helped the "hacker" in this thread. How can someone getting scammed be our (the ones who posted in this specific thread if you're unable to think so far yourself) fault?

Hard Drugs are dangerous
Lol, cannabis can hardly be seen as a hard drug, can it?
410  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your view on cannabis? on: April 14, 2014, 09:04:31 PM
I just found this great animal video:
http://www.weather.com/video/a-dog-and-his-chicks-46733?

If I had some weed/pot/cannabis I would probably have enjoyed it even more.
I think that sums it up quite good, doesn't it? Cheesy

Sooo, have you decided where you will place it yet? Just so I know, and I'll come help building the nation for a few weeks during my summer holiday!
I don't think we have? Feel free to come with suggestions! Smiley
What would our budget be?
A few million dollars tops. We'd need to raise the money first, so the budget would be quite low.

Yes ,is possible in a fantasy world were is no greed and everything is shared equally, were people are not poor or middle class or rich.....are just people .......but as i said in fantasy !

it's a fantasy world only for big countries, there it can't be done

but small countries who are accidently placed on an area with plenty of resources might achieve this..

as I said, something like Qatar

the damn country has a BDP od 98 000$ per capita Cheesy
And therefore it would be better if there were many small countries instead of a few big ones. The smaller society, the more important your voice gets.

but sometime one of the smaller nations would start invading other small nations and there would be no big nation to stop it Cheesy
Then other small nations would have to join and
stop the aggressive ones. Most people in the world are not interested in invading other countries anyway, so that would not be I big problem I believe.

they are not because there are bigger countries preventing them from doing so and the UN..

there will always be barbaric nations, there always was  Undecided
Yes, and therefore other more peaceful nations should offer defensive assistance if a nation is being invaded. In that way the aggressive nation will quickly realize it's not worth the effort.

I want to know have you changd your mind with the rates you are offering? I can play it on 2 PC, but you know this is almost like mining this song 24/7 which costs electricity.

BR,

Gondel
Not really, streaming a song doesn't really require much resources, and therefore uses less electricity.

I would consider it only If I was able to come and go as I please.  And If if the nation is on this planet( I'd suspect it would be).  Then I'm gonna need a gun for sure.
Why would we keep anyone there if they wanted to leave? Cheesy
And why would you need a gun on the island? Since none else would have a gun there would be none you'd have to defend yourself from!

I'm just making sure I ask the question that need asking in regards to my freedom to come and go hehe.  As for the gun I think it would be nice to have some security on my person.  I suspect there will be guards on this island and they would have guns correct?  I think of my on an island with no weapon and I just get a uneasy feeling...
No, I'm thinking no guns at all. If there comes a need for any weapons for civil security purposes, then non-lethal weapons like stun guns would be enough. Of course everyone would be allowed to carry one.
As for guards the plan would be to let the inhabitants be the guards. If someone does something that the community does not approve with (like rape or assault) all inhabitants would be obligated to intervene.
you mean like a witch-hunt? Cheesy
Lol, not really, people would be free do do as they wish as long as their decisions would not put others and the society at risk. And if someone harms other people that person would have to be neutralized and disarmed. Pretty simple actually.
