Patrike,

Any plans to implement memory/hotspot temperature monitoring so we can see it at least in Windows version? Being able to set rules on these temps would be great for those of us with 3080/3090.
Thanks for your suggestion. I will have to investigate how to get access to these readings. I know GPU-Z and HWInfo64 can show it, but I've not yet found any details in the nVidia documentation how to actually read this value.
Yeah, i am waiting for this as well.

Also Nicehash QuickMiner can read Nvidia VRAM Temperature...

Don´t forget AMD, it is also important on RX5x00 and RX6x00 series.

I've started to look into this. For nVidia this temperature feature isn't documented so it's a bit difficult to find out how others have resolved it. For AMD I've identified how to get Memory and Hotspot temperature on Linux and Hotspot temperature on Windows.

Hi Patrike, pls. enable ethash algo in MiniZ miner (last ver.)
No data output to the benchmark window if testing PhoenixMiner 5.6d
Autolykos is on the Nicehash now, need to be added to AM
Regards.
Thanks for the report. I'm not able reproduce the problem with PhoenixMiner and the benchmark. Is normal mining working fine with this miner, where it reports hashrate and power usage - but only in the case of benchmark it never shows any hashrate?

SSH is not active on this FW - but thx for checking the statistic stuff

another question is braiins+ FW for S9
i using VPN to connect

the "Configure API access (via SSH) wont work - i only get "failed to execute" message
in "legacy" - "reboot via web (or SSH)" dont work
default pools gives me "Authentification failure" - tried with custom web and custom SHH credentials and also with "perform reboot and pool operations via web..."

any chance to get basic stuff working on braiins+ with Awesome miner?
Thanks for the update.

BraiinsOS uses their own way of configuring miners these days so the standard way for Awesome Miner to enable API access will unfortunately not work. You will have to look into if this can be enabled via BraiinsOS.

In general - we do support monitoring of almost any ASIC miner on the market and in most cases we also support monitoring when you run custom firmware on the ASIC miner. In terms of operations we mainly focus on supporting the default ASIC firmware and our own Awesome Miner firmware. As long as any other third party firmware keeps the compatibility with the original firmware, it will work fine. Any custom firmware that come up with their own ways of doing things will typically not be supported by Awesome Miner.

hello,

no one yet reported this?

i´m using Z11 with Firmware from http://to.tools/Z11-firmware-sd-image - this is originaly by chipless-mod.

now i got the issue that awesome miner shows speed in MH not kH
is there anything you could do about this?

second problem is, when send pool config via awesome miner it is configured with "_ant_pool1url=" ahead my pool settings

seems there is something strange with the FW - but maybe you have a fast fix

Make an api report and send patrike a private message. I think he can fix this.
Go to Tools -> click api report -> save this report and send it patrike.

Patrike are there any plans for more ASIC Firmwares? Like Z11? Or only focusing on BTC miner?
Thanks for helping out here.

So far it's only been for the most popular Antminers, so mainly the Bitcoin miners but also L3+ for Scrypt. Antminer Z11 is not a priority at the moment. Whatsminer will however be supported in the future.

sent you the API report with PM - could you check if it´s easy to fix or not possible? otherwise need to push FW DEV to fix
Hi,

Yes, please see my reply above (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.msg57229445#msg57229445). I have a correction in the pipeline for the hashrate display. For pool changes, please try SSH instead.

just got the virus/trojan alert again today. and it wont allow me to run AM again.
I've sent another report to Microsoft about this. It's unfortunate that they correct the detections but then a few days later they change something and the problem is back.

especially as this is the only way I can manage my miners remotely. it is beginning to cost me money.

You do something wrong. I have no problems on all of my rigs (around 40 rigs), all work normal. Deactivate windows defender complete, if you have problems -> must be done in the registry -> i have done this at the beginning of my mining journey.

I did nothing wrong - windows keeps adding it back as a trojan. I am not deactivating windows defender completely so that my system is 100% open and vulnerable - no thanks.
This should have been resolved since earlier today. I hope all works fine now.

When this happens, have you tried to add Exclusions to allow specific processes and folders?

Hi Patrike.

I use Hiveos + Remote Agent for Linux. On my GPU for each algorithm, overclocking is configured.
Please make awesome miner to work with acceleration of GPU from HiveOS.
I can provide for this API Key, my Rig.

Sorry for my english. I use an online translator.
Awesome Miner do support overclocking on Linux as well. The feature requires you to have an Awesome Miner license as this will unlock more features, including the GPU overclocking.

Remote Agent on Linux can overclock both AMD and nVidia GPUs. This feature is not related to HiveOS in any way.

Thanks for sending me the API report via PM. For Antminer Z11 the hashrate unit is reported a bit different depending on firmware version. I've just implemented support for detecting this specific firmware and use the correct hashrate unit (kH/s instead of MH/s).

For the pool configuration, please consider doing this via SSH instead. Doing the web-based configuration will assume the firmware is Bitmain compatible and it looks like this firmware is doing something different here.

update - now able to install and run it without the trojan alerts.
Thanks for the update. I've had a total of 3 cases with Microsoft on this the last two weeks. Hopefully things will run smoother now.

I can no longer install or run Awesomeminer - it keeps popping up trojan alerts - I know you stated that you reported it to Microsoft as a false positive.
Thanks for the report.

Microsoft corrected one trojan alert in Windows Defender yesterday (June 6th). Unfortunately this turns out to be yet another incorrect detection so I've filed a new report to Microsoft about this case as well. I will keep you updated.

Update June 8th:
Microsoft has removed the incorrect detection.

To force an update of Windows Defender defitintions, please run the following via cmd.exe started with Administrator permissions.

Code:
cd %ProgramFiles%\Windows Defender
MpCmdRun.exe -removedefinitions -dynamicsignatures
MpCmdRun.exe -SignatureUpdate

Trojan detected, should we be worried???

Hi,

I've reported this to Microsoft as a false positive. It happens from time to time that they incorrectly detect Awesome Miner as a threat. In general, security software are very sensitive for anything related to mining.

Update: I received a confirmation from Microsoft that they have removed this incorrect detection.

Please follow the steps below to clear cached detection and obtain the latest malware definitions.

Code:
cd %ProgramFiles%\Windows Defender
MpCmdRun.exe -removedefinitions -dynamicsignatures
MpCmdRun.exe -SignatureUpdate

hello patrike,

I have a question about C# API, in the recent betas you've changed the initializer for PredefinedPool class
now it is declared as
Code:
PredefinedPoolProvider(AwesomeMiner.Infrastructure.Intelligence.OnlineServiceType, string, AwesomeMiner.Infrastructure.Mining.Pools.MiningRegion)
can you please describe what MiningRegions are available?
I've tried to guess but didn't succeed.
thank you.

Depends on your pool. You can find the regions at the pools or in awesomeminer options in profit switching section.
I appreciate your desire to help, but I'm sure you didn't understand what I'm asking. I use Nicehash EU North server in my C# script. have tried every possible name that could be used. using NicehashRegion.EU results in incompatible type assignment warning.

also, script editor complains that AwesomeMiner.Infrastructure.Mining assembly is missing, so type MiningRegion is undefined.

hope that's enough details to find the issue. patiently waiting for a fixed build, @patrike. thanks again.
This specific class has not changed in about two years. The available MiningRegions for Nicehash did however change a few months ago, when they introduced new regions (where the MiningRegion can be one of: USAWest, USAEast, EuropeWest,EuropeNorth) like MiningRegion.USAWest.

Can you share some context how you use it and in what way it changed/broke in the latest development release? You can send the details via PM if you want. Thanks!

sent you a PM.
Thanks. I've identified the scenario and there will be a correction for this in the next release.

Good day.
I use HiveOS,
In HiveOS, miners, algorithms and acceleration GPUs for the arrival of the GPU are customized.
Question:
- Is it possible if using the HiveOS API (Available in HiveOS)?, Make so that Awesome Miner for Linux, using the API of My Riga, chose an acceleration of GPU and Mainer for an integrated algorithm? (Disappears the ability to download the necessary miners).
- Big request, make awesome miner for linux, so that there is no need to keep the PC included with OS windsws and the Awesome Miner installed by the Awesome MINER disabled, does not switch to the profit on the selected pool.
Awesome Miner version 8.5

 GPU mining
  - Beta: Awesome Miner and Remote Agent can be configured to communicate via Cloud Services, without a direct communication link between them. This makes deployments of remote sites easier as it no longer requires

Hi Patrike!
I understand correctly, this point in the final update, is there an answer to my request? (- Big Request, Make Awesome Miner for Linux, So That There Is No Need to Keep The Awesome Miner Installed by The Awesome Miner Disabled by The Awesome Miner Disabled, Does Not Switch to The Profit on the Selected Pool.). But what to do, if I do not use the Awesome cloud service? I have a free program.
Health to you !!!
Hi again.

The feature you quote above is not related to Remote Agent being able to do profit switching without Awesome Miner. The Awesome Miner main application must always run for the profit switching to work, both before and after this update.

The new feature in 8.5 is about how Awesome Miner and Remote Agent communicate. With the new concept they can communicate via our cloud, without having to have a direct connection between them. This makes it easier to deploy Awesome Miner and the Remote Agents on different locations without having to think about VPN. Both Awesome Miner and Remote Agent do need to be running, just like today. For more details about this new feature, please see "Connect to remote GPU miners without VPN":
https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000085972-connecting-to-miners-on-a-remote-location

Just like @sxemini pointed out - this feature will make use of our cloud and will require an active subscription.

Trying to mine with NBMiner on MiningPoolHub I get a connection timeout - if I manually run the miner changing the URL from "ethproxy+tcp://us-east.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17020" to "nicehash+tcp://us-east.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17020" it works fine.

I'm not sure how or if there's any way to change the URL for a pool, but I would really appreciate it if someone could help.
Thanks for pointing out this. There will be a change in Awesome Miner for this in the next release.

Hi Patrike, can you improve "Create notification" action and add a checkbox where user can define if notification will be with sound or soundless. Regards.
Hi and thanks for the feature suggestion. A workaround to get started with this right away is to run a command where you manually specify a wave-file to play, using the "Run Executable" action.
Executable: powershell.exe
Parameters:  -c (New-Object Media.SoundPlayer "C:\Windows\Media\notify.wav").PlaySync();
