The cryptocurrencies can be still used as a money but not a day to day type of money. We can still use cryptocurrencies to purchase something in the internet but using it on our daily expenses is not worth it because we will lose money since there is always a transaction fee and you are risking the value of your cryptocurrency with the volatility. A troubled economy can't be easily recovered with the help of bitcoin. This happens purely based on the participants on the economy. If there is very small number of people in the respective country use bitcoin then it won't make any changes in the troubled economy recovery. A large scale adoption in the country will help with making some development on the economy. I never tried to do bitcoin loan even I have collateral because I don't want have a problem in the future. Although this lending is spread all over in crypto space to help other cryptocians I think we still need to be careful to specially the lenders bec3you don't have any assurance if the borrower will pay you. just like me, where I am not interested in crypto loans, I prefer to invest in personal power, because my psychology is not able to bear the debt, rather than damage the mentality later absolutely right, everyone may be psychologically unable to bear the debt.
