Go over to the thread and take a look...offering all kinds of incentives to back their company, even though it's a new startup. How would you know they are doing a good job? All the video shows is some box with some display that says that it is mining. Who knows what's underneath the hood.

When APPLE creates a new IPhone - and Foxconn fucks up a huge batch of the IPHONE motherboards or chips, delaying production: APPLE doesn't tell the customers "It's Foxconn's fault!" they own up to it and refund the customer, or notify them of progress and offer discounts/free upgrades.
This never happens, because QA/QC is done on these products and they tend to exist before they are sold.
It's also APPLE, they have the $$$ to get these things DONE.
As for AMT, it's like Joshua decided one day after a few Red Bull's..."Hey I know, I'll start a business selling a product : and if the shit goes south, I won't be responsible at all - cuz yknow that's how business is done here in the USA". Derp a derp!
This isn't how legitimate business is done: this is how FRAUD is done. As the business, Joshua/AMT is fully responsible for everything, regardless of whether the manufacturer messes up, his image online is destroyed by angry customers, fedex destroys the package during delivery, the designs they bought for the miner weren't fulled tested, etc.... AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS ALL ON AMT. THEY COLLECTED THE $ FOR THESE MINERS, THEY ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT THE OUTCOME IS.
This is basic common sense, yet some of you want to give up your rights as consumers and grovel at AMT's feet. Fuck these assholes, they've been sitting on everyone's money for 6 months or more...they've already could of made interest on it, or mined with it, or Josh bought a new car with it... WHO KNOWS?!
Legal action is the way to go. Minimize losses and put Joshua where he needs to be, either behind bars: or with this on his record, and fined up the ass until every cent is returned.

Look at Frictionlesscoin - Based on his complaints made to the FTC about AMT, they are now telling him to WAIT TO BE LAST on the RMA process: AND HE'S A PAYING CUSTOMER. Therefore sharing an order number will give AMT the knowledge of who we are, who our friends are, and they will make sure to "make us pay" for our posts. It's not rocket science. Agreed. ISAWHIM and OPIEUM2 - it's my belief that Joshua is extremely desperate, thus why he has brought you in on this "solution". Except there will be no solution. He's using you two to relay these "positive measures" that are being taken to rectify this. He wants you two to come on here and convince everyone that "it will be alright, we're working it out - just give us more time". Like every other time prior to this, nothing will be done or fixed and another month will pass. These are simply more stall tactics. If Joshua wants to do right by his customer base, he will refund everyone who has been asking for theirs, then let them decide if they want to sink that money back into AMT once they resolve their issues. The reality is that AMT used all of customers money to create this startup, and not giving refunds, which are completely justified - is against the law. This is part of why AMT is being prosecuted, they have broken many laws that protect consumers - and continue to do so to this day. I wouldn't suggest holding your breath on the RMA or new miner solution. They had their chance and surely enough time, to build and deliver working miners. They failed miserably...time to issue refunds! AMT is holding all money hostage, saying : "Take our new revamped miner, or nothing!" This is completely illegal. At the end of the day, it's obvious to see that Josh has the means to issue refunds - but he'd rather spend all that money trying to desperately get a miner design working and functional, so he can continue to sell these into the future and make profits. He's trying to take a messy situation, and turn it around in a way where he can still profit in the future (AKA: Looking out for his own ass and profitability, instead of the customers). |

I am unfamiliar with the "grey market", could you elaborate?
Unauthorized vendors/brokers selling components of unknown origin (not directly obtained from the maker and no paper trail). Think e-bay. The parts might be good and are cheaper because they are legit factory over runs (rare) or someones surplus inventory. But - they might not be and unless one checks every single piece used against spec there is NO assurance that it will be right. Counterfeit electronic components is a very serious problem in all industries. If one is lucky they are just out-of-spec factory-rejects that failed testing and were improperly disposed of so someone dumpster dived for them to resell. There have even been cases of chips with no actual die in them! Most common is components which are an older version that have been relabeled to be a new one. Now to be fair and although they ruined the business we need to not make them look like complete outlaws.They did order from Digi and mouser, but some of the hard to place parts were ordered from "a guy I knew that had them in stock". These were for the harder to find NXP parts and LTC's. But yes,when asked for invoices/proof of purchase we were met with weeks of delays followed by a stack of papers comparable to something you'd find in one of the Junior lawyers offices in our law firm. And "sure you can make copies, but we're closing now,maybe some time next".. bs bs.. I think you are just making this up about manufacturer problems and defective parts. The reason I say this is that based on what you shipped and how you shipped it, you seem to want to cut corners at every opportunity. So given the opportunity to acquire sub-standard parts, you likely would have taken it. In summary, all you do is pretend to care about quality, but you never deliver on it. At the end of the day, they are the business that has taken everyone's money, and AMT has the final responsibility in this matter. So they SUPPOSEDLY hired some dodgy manufacturing outfit to produce the miners, and it didn't work out. They want to pass the blame onto someone else to cover their ass, big surprise. Since the beginning, they sold themselves as the MANUFACTURERS of the miners themselves, now we are to believe it was all outsourced to some incompetent company that has screwed up by buying a bunch of parts off of "the grey market"? Get real. What about QA/QC? WAS ANY TESTING EVER DONE BY AMT?! What about all those posts about how they have people night and day working to put these miners together? Are we sure the ball wasn't dropped there? These miners look like they were constructed by a 3 year old (smeared thermal paste everywhere, missing screws, missing parts, misaligned parts etc). Please, tell me who's to blame for the bullshit packing job and shipment (aka: destruction) of these miners? Is it Fedex's or UPS's fault? Who are you going to blame for dropping a $6,000 miner into a hollow box with a handful of packing material? Just like the shipping, every FACET in regards to the build, assembly, QA/QC of these miners - was done HALF ASS. It's as simple as that. AMT's business model = wild cash grab followed by complete laziness. It's like once Joshua had the cash, he stopped giving a shit about delivering on his promises. Besides, WHAT DOES ANY OF THIS REALLY EVEN HAVE TO DO WITH NOT GIVING CUSTOMERS REFUNDS? On Friday, I was at at the office and I spoke with jim about the solutions they planned to offer their clients. I overheard some talk about being silenced and how if the offered those solutions via their website as planned, they would be acting illegally and therefore could not do it.

And that is the problem I have with class-actions. Those customers who are still willing to work with the defendant to resolve their complaints become shut out from the process. Well, the class action is the process. Maybe you don't realize this, but AMT has only responded to complaints when legal force was levered on them. There are a lot of customers here that asking about their shipment. They haven't even realized that there was a class action lawsuit that was created a month ago. Not everyone is willing to be as patient with the likes of AMT, as you are. Why you'd be willing to continue to take AMT's word and do business with them, seems bizarre to me. Let's get refunds and move on. Not sure why their legal council hasn't given AMT that advice (REFUND EVERYONE). |

I'm sure Joshua Zipkin will rear his ugly head again soon - and give another excuse as to the delay on this particular update/plan. It will be more "talked about solutions" with no substance or anything you can take to the bank. This has been the case with EVERY so-called "update" for the past 6 months.
Joshua will continue to do this as he has each time in the past, buying himself more time.
Anyone that hasn't talked with a lawyer yet, has made a large error based on false trust. Do not get duped into holding off any longer, you can always cancel on the suit if AMT miraculously does right by everyone (not looking like that will happen).
AMT founder Joshua Zipkin deserves to be in jail and/or heavily fined and charged with fraud. Anyone else involved with this RUSE that is AMT should also be held accountable.
