Considering he might have millions of dollars of customers' money, it isn't far fetched to think he'd risk everything to 'get rich quick'.

It's a LOT of money.

If he had planned a scam from day one,  do you think we would even know who he is?

Do you think he would take the trouble to become the U.S. exclusive distributor of Bitmain?

Do you think they would even bother to work with U.S. based contract manufacturers?

AMT is already receiving a ton of inquiries from law enforcement,  they aren't going anywhere until they deliver.

No, but they could of set themselves up to fail from day one. They could of also planned to actually run the miners, creating delays during said time: then deliver late.

Who knows? Unfortunately AMT won't update anyone as to what is going on, and even if they did it'd be hard to believe them at this point.
1362  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 18, 2014, 08:21:32 PM

This IS NOT just an American matter. They have taken payments from Internationals as well (at least based on their website). When Josh Zipkin flees back to Bulgaria, I hope our European friends might give a helping hand when that day comes.

I remember seeing that guy Kevin on TV selling his 'miracle cures' crap. Funny, didn't know he ended up in jail. There was always something fishy about that guy.

Well,  I honestly doubt that Josh is dumb enough to commit wire fraud.    I gather he lives in Haverford, PA which is quite an afluent community.  His family appears to also comes from there.   So I doubt he plans on throwing all of that away to perpertuate a fraud.

I still think AMT is legit,  unfortunately they run a terrible business.

1363  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 18, 2014, 08:08:22 PM

So urgent actions are neded

Urgent action?  Like what kind of action?
If you can make tax authorities to see if they pay taxes and investigate them. Just file some sort of complain for money wandering or whatever you think will bring their attention to AMT and George  as as a person
Then go to court. Some urgent REAL legal action which will scare them. And they will contact you immediately Grin mark my words. The refund preferable or your miner will be coming shortly.
No matter what we write here they just do not care. T is useless to mention you hav Los your investment already so just as for full refund if you can take this as advise

Why should we take advise from someone who doesn't even live in America and can't even get a visa to America?

We already posted the legal action that one can take earlier.  That is ... Delaware Consumer Affairs and Small Claims court.

I think you should get lost also.  This is an American matter to be handled by American consumers in the appropriate manner.

Wire-fraud is a very serious offense in the USA.   Here is an example of a guy who sold 'weight loss books'... he got 10 years in jail.  http://www.businessinsider.com/best-selling-author-kevin-trudeau-gets-10-years-in-prison-for-massive-deception-2014-3

So AMT even intends on not delivering 1.2 THs miners or not refunding customers for not delivering,  they and their employees are going to spend a long time in jail.

This IS NOT just an American matter. They have taken payments from Internationals as well (at least based on their website). When Josh Zipkin flees back to Bulgaria, I hope our European friends might give a helping hand when that day comes.

We'll give you an update on where we are at every Tuesday, how about that?

It's Tuesday again! Think AMT will bless us with another non-update?

Hmm missed that post. If they do that at least thats good. Its something. If it at least highlights what they are currently working on. Some communication is better than none. And they have been at least posting up pics of what they have been doing. Hopefully we hear more about what is going on and particularly how the bitmine issue is affecting them (or if they worked around it some how)

Dude seriously? You really need to take AMT's dick out of your mouth. I guarantee that your ass kissing won't get you a miner sooner than anybody else.

You also need to go back and read this thread again.
1365  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 18, 2014, 05:10:25 PM
We should do a betting pool.

200 Page thread before anyone gets a 1.2TH miner.

I remember this post.

We are almost there!!!!
Let's do another betting pool! 300 threads before anyone received the mysterious 1.2TH miner.

In all honesty, I was hoping to be wrong. Let's see what happens.

Clennel: You called Josh, what did he say? Has anyone spoken to anyone from AMT recently?

Looking very dire now. They say models are shipping, then disappear off the face of the earth.  Undecided They really need to start issuing refunds before this gets uglier.
1366  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 18, 2014, 12:57:58 AM
Here is the thing. There are those that have a right to be angry. But be very careful. While I have Craig on ignore (mostly because he comes off as a huge asshole with anyone that disagrees with him I can see why AMT would not do business with him) I have seen some of his replies quoted. Fact is if you are calling someones personal cell without their permission (or them having given it to you) then you can be nailed for harassment. Considering the amount of information Craig has already posted on Amazon with negative reviews, and various other things in this forum they will nail him to the wall in retaliation whatever the state of their business might be. And if it turns out that they are shipping a product (as there is more evidence in that with the 80GHS and other miners they actually have shipped) then they have a HUGE leg to stand on.

Just sayin harassment of that nature usually draws the attention of the FBI if a business decides they want to pursue that. Especially if it happened across state lines. Otherwise it will be a police raid. But hey take it however you want. If you don't care, then that's on you. Personally I don't think harassment and libel are worth the jailtime (or record) and fines. If you FEEL so strongly they are a scam you need to be able to prove it and so far no one has been able to PROVE anything other than that these people actually exist and are a company. Least nothing substantial that a court would consider as actual proof. They have been shipping products, have laid out terms for preorders. They can show they are not the only ones in the industry in the same boat because of manufacturing and supply. The only thing that anyone here has is conjecture and circumstantial evidence. Not sure what the deal is that you still haven't gotten a refund. But while you get that refund back, its gonna bite you in the ass in a huge way. Honestly sometimes you gotta learn to pick your battles.

In regard that they have a product, I do believe they have something and will be shipping at some point. The question in my mind isn't if but when. But that's just me. Hopefully some people get some of their devices soon and start posting pics, reviews whatever to prove it. I figure for the sake of this thread and others I will do the same. I originally had intended on not but I will post some pics if I get mine early (doubtful as I am pretty much at the ass end of the queue). But in the event it happens, figure contribute. At that point the haters got nothing. Then they truly look like trolls.

If I and others lose my investment over this, because the haters were correct? well they get their ego's stroked and get nothing for it besides the self satisfaction that they were right. Nothing gained nothing lost on their end. Some of the guys here are batshit insane with the stuff they are saying. Some are luckily out of the legal reach of the US court system, but those who aren't? If they deliver you are well and truly fucked. Just sayin. I know if I were Josh I would be coming at you with all barrels once my personal safety gets compromised (because some nutcase customer got my personal cell and called me on it). But its also batshit stuff like that, that might drive them out of the industry altogether as it might not be worth the hassle. Fact is also the silence could be the calm before the shitstorm (for those who have been blatantly libeling them. Fact is they have a HUGE leg to stand on in that front.  Lawyers might have told them stay quiet for their own protection hence the reason why to interact directly with customers. Well It will be interesting to see where this goes once the dust settles. I'm somewhat patient and can understand the manufacturing delays (if that's the case) is not entirely on them. But it would be nice to have some disclosure on it. I have said all this stuff before but it fell on deaf ears. Well not deaf. Just troll ears. I guess in that regard I am trolling the trollers who don't want to hear the truth. Truth isn't what you want it to be, its what is. Oh well.

All said tho if they did communicate a bit better or made some effort to provide general shipping and or engineering updates its likley this stuff would not happen (or happen alot less).

STFU... someone please quote me so douche bag will get the message Smiley

I am very concerned that your refund check never came. I was really waiting to see if you'd be the first person to get refunded.

Besides Grumpysgirl; who had their order bought/facilitated transfer through AMT; no one has yet to receive an ACTUAL refund from AMT.

Very worrying.

You can add me to IGNORE as well.

You're a retarded shill, if there ever was one.  You have nothing to show for anything, except 'high hopes & good feelings' that this will work out.

I agree with what is said above about this being a perpetrated scam. Think about what was said above.

If they had 1000 orders for $6,000 miners. That equates to $6,000,000 (6 milion). For the $10,000 worth of bitfury miners they resold to gain trust early on, they would of made QUITE a bit back afterwards. On top of this, all of the orders were paid for via WIRE TRANSFER and BTC.

I don't know about you guys, but this is an enticing offer for anyone that wanted to get in on the scam (CEO: Josh Zipkin, Jim Brown, Alyssa Trusten).

Think about it. If they were TRULY legit, wouldn't they give a shit about their companies reputation? At this point they are just cutting and running with the money, knowing "AMT" will go down as a burning ship.

Yes, just a theory.
1369  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 06:15:14 PM
the way this is going, it looks almost like they delivered a few of the easily obtainable Technobit Hex16b based rigs(80-220GH), just to gain rep as a company that delivers, and then pocketed the money for orders for the bigger rigs.

i know its a strong accusation, and i hope for you guys' sake I am wrong, and its just incompetence, and or lack of parts that is the real issue behind the delays.

writing on the wall gets clearer every day, and it's not looking good.

I guess i've killed any chance of getting my MPP upgrades.  lol

My only shot at ROI on the 80GH rig, is to continue to mine alt coins like maza, and hope the price holds.  I've mined about .6btc with the 80 since i got it at the end of january.  Most of that was due to a couple price spike sin UNO and mining mazacoin when the price was high.  otherwise i'm looking at .01btc/day.

If i go off of BTC mining only, my rig would bring in 1.8BTC in 6 months, AT CURRENT DIFFICULTY, and thats 6 months after i received the rig.  so subtract .3 BTC due to delivery delay, and i'm looking at 1.5BTC or about $940.  Not even remotely close to the $1500 i paid for the rig.

I knew this before i received the rig, and approached AMT with this info and asked about the MPP.  First answer was, "oh sorry, we already shipped your rig".  so what, send the upgrade board in another box.  i can hang it off the 80, since the damn thing doesnt run properly in the case anyways.  plenty of power overhead left on the 300W psu for another board.   2 boards would be more in line with the MPP, but i would be mostly satisfied with just 1.  I'd even get my own psu if they were to do the right thing and upgrade me to the 220GH rig, just like the example on their Miner Protection Plan page.

They said it, not me.....

http://advancedminers.com/miner-protection-plan/

Example:

If you purchase an AMT Steadfast 80ghs and the network hash rate increases to the point where your mining cannot meet ROI from the suggested shipment date for a six month time period, while mining SHA-256 coin, we will ship you a AMT 220ghs absolutely free.

Has anyone who ordered an 80-120GH rig from early december, actually received an upgrade per the MPP?

+1

I think you are exactly right in your theory.

I doubt they have any remaining bitfury boards to send to via MPP.

Very had to chalk this all up to incompetence. Also, very hard to attribute their communication to 'horrendous customer service' - I believe their lack of communication has been nothing short of DELIBERATE.

Rik: You're grasping at straws. Read back, you'll see they threw Clennel under the bus for inquiring about his order.

I'll give it another week before you come to your senses and stop defending AMT at every turn.

Defending no, I think they are a terrible company. I saw that exchange actually. Though it usually takes a few attempts I've ended up getting responses. Sadly they don't answer all of my questions, but I've never personally been treated rudely by anyone associated with the company. I don't know if it's because I might phrase my e-mails in different ways but the company has never attacked me or been anything less than polite in the few phone calls I've had with them (I've talked to at least two people there on the phone).

I came in late in the game, I ordered and I'm going to wait it out until my advertised shipping date the 31st + 1-3 days for delivery, and at that time I'll take any steps necessary for recovery. Right now I have nothing to claim against them. I am completely understanding of people who ordered in November or December and are waiting for their orders, if I were in there shoes I would be upset too. The fact is delays were inevitable  at a stage before AMT could even really have the chance to fuck anything up. I'm sure people have been virtually banging down their doors since december threatening to sue them, e-mailing them and calling them fucking scum at a point where there was nothing they could do about it. If the chips weren't produced then there isn't any miner, that's just the facts of the matter.

What they failed to do was develop a professional relationship with their customer base. I've never receive an e-mail update that wasn't prompted by me. There was a period of time where they didn't bother to update their news section. Well at least until they did it in a shady way by back-dating post to make it look like there was communication all along. And posting pictures for something on the tenth of feb that wasn't taken until the 22nd of feb.

But still none of this means their intent is to scam anyone....

@rik

your level headed approach is exactly what this thread needs. For my part I have been trying to do the same. I do agree the communications practices AMT has can use alot of work. In my own interactions they have generally been good. But I do imagine they are getting slammed with emails and phone calls left and right. But I am in the same boat you are. Waiting it out until I see what my options are. Ideally it would behoove AMT to provide some shipping status update at least to save face. But not likely happening at this point. But yea the crazy theories and insults to anyone who isn't part of the troll mosh pit gets trolled. Again its simpler to just add those trolls to the ignore list with a couple of exceptions. Makes the thread readable.

I wrote up an open letter to them hoping that they do actually communicate with users with some kind of status update. Right now ANY communication on that front is better than silence. If people mass request refunds from them it wont work well for any of us. The shortsighted thinking of others ultimately affects everyone. Of course for those who had timelines and were told X date and it was not shipped by then are well within their right to request a refund. Its poor form for any company to say one date and not deliver on it with no explanation. Even BFL for their delayed (I use them as the turd standard) products even gives some explanation is to whats going on and why.

I disagree with your assessment of them being hammered by nonstop emails and phone calls. Not only is it speculation, but it doesn't excuse their COMPLETE lack of communication. The fact that they have been withholding updates has probably compounded the overload of emails/phone calls - everyone wants to know what the deal is. Even if they had TONS of emails to respond to: they could send out a mass email with an update to everyone. This would take no more than 20 minutes to write up.

Updating the community at large with a single post, and directing callers and emailers here would of been the right way to go. This FORUM could of been a great asset to the AMT team to update everyone, instead they told us to 'fuck off' and that they would be creating their own forums, and updating customers there (never happened).

The worst part of all of this, is that when there HAVE been updates - they have been completely falsified. Every update has been "your order is shipping shortly" - this started over a month ago. So even if they were better at giving us updates, who's to know if what they are saying is even true?

AMT has no credibility anymore due to non-stop lying to their customers, in an attempt to buy time or put peoples' minds at ease.

1372  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 17, 2014, 04:30:22 PM
i would like to predict AMT will file for bankruptcy. Remember you heard it here first.

+1

Although I must say that I originally brought this up as a possibility. I have seen it happen with other pre-order based companies in the past. End of the day, the customers lose in this scenario.

WTF?
1375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 16, 2014, 07:18:03 PM
AMT is the furthest thing from a reputable American company. AMT is a shady Eastern European company that happens to be in the U.S.

That faggot Josh Zipkin is a BULGARIAN who is obviously using this country as a way to rouse up more business. He's using the whole "Made in America" thing to instill confidence in people.

He also wants to pay people UNDER THE TABLE, avoid taxes, and doesn't even have proper business licensing and registration.

Snore.

really? faggot? why don't you grow the fuck up. if you have a legitimate thing to say you don't have to resort to petty name calling.

AMT resorted to name calling long before I did. They are giving us the shaft and you are preaching to me about being nice?

I'm sorry, but they've lost any chance at being treated with respect at this point. If they respected their customers, then they would get it back in return. HASN'T HAPPENED.

ISAWHIM: Are you going to work for AMT or what?

Nope, still sitting at home... Waiting, like everyone-else...

My last quoted shipment date has passed now too... Looking to spend the rest of my money on AntMiners now. Just so I have something to consume my time, while I wait for AMT.

They need a new game-plan. At the moment, this one will end-up leaving them out of business before they even begin to ship the 1.2THs miners. (Since they are apparently only shipping the non-THs miners and A1 chips, in the stated "shipped orders".)

Though, bitmine is in the same boat. Same hardware/software issues, stalling the chained chips from operating at the same level as the individual test chips. (I still think it is a data-line length issue. The test-boards all had ribbon-cables or data-lines of equal length. So by resistance, the data-bits are all lined-up. Curving data-lines is like running on an oval-track. The guy on the inside lane has a shorter distance than the guy on the outer-edge. That is why they off-set the starting-positions. To make the finish-line the same distance for them all. Data-lines are the same. One short one, and the bits are all out of sync. Works for lower-frequencies, but dies on faster frequencies where the data should all be aligned. Looks like 8-bits of output and 8-bits of input, or 16-bits of input/output, on the chips. That is a lot of data-lines to equalize with resistance, across the PCB. That, or the use of bit-buffers would work too.)

Too bad.  It sounds like they created this whole 'hiring process' to further stall everyone. I doubt anyone other than yourself, sincerely applied and they haven't even gotten back to you about it.

I have a feeling all of their updates have been to stall the user base here.

They are either running all of the miners themselves, and profiting from it : or they have completely fucked up in the manufacturing process and are sinking quick. Neither of these justify the poor communication and lack of updates though.

1378  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 15, 2014, 05:58:58 AM
anyone notice that this miner for sale on ebay has the post it note on the table that was used to update this forum when they received chips back at the end of january? why would that picture of a supposed completed miner have that post it note still in it? how would this guy on ebay have a picture of a miner at AMT's office? did they have this miner complete way back then? have they been using our miners for some time now? AMT is nothing but a bunch of con artists. they will get exposed for what they are soon enough. AMT is nothing but one massive fraud.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-AMT-bitcoin-miner-1-2-T-in-hand-Ready-to-ship-/281276808626?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item417d677db2

That is obviously just an empty tower... The second photo, you can see right through the empty face. The machine on the floor in the background, can be seen, as well as the fan on the back. (Through the air-holes.) Not a good fake for an eBay listing. (OMG, he is in Josh's office!) Tongue Sure he visited there... Took a pic, and then walked-out to use that as "proof of a miner". lol.

Funny though, that that photo is not published in the forums. (Must be someone selling it, who works there, or visited at the right moment.)

If it was assembled, they would have turned it to show you the boards installed inside, through the giant clear window. Obviously, it is unpopulated.

Notice that guy never shows one actually running. (Obviously, it is in his hands, running... Obviously... You can tell by the photo of the CPU case! Tongue) eBay-Scammer-Fail.

AMT, you got you someone who was inside your building, trying to scam people on eBay now! You know, because they have never shown us those photos.

(Sound familiar... "I got three, and decided to keep two.") I bet he has two listed... or three now... The other fake listings must have sold, or he got busted and they killed his account. Tongue Clenell, that is the same guy who showed you the photo of him with josh.. remember? Same exact wording on the auction. New user-name I imagine...

Report him for saying "Paypal or Bitcoin", since bitcoin is still not a valid eBay payment method at the moment.

P.S. That is the note that was on that CPU case, with the chips below... On that same desk... I assume, that was the following day. That guy visited and took the photo... AMT can give ebay that information. I am sure they know, or saw, who that was, that visited that day. He is screwed! lol.

That, or he is giving everyone the $1500 china-miners, selling them at AMT prices. Tongue (Nope, never sold anything more than a few thousand $5 items before that point. Funny thing is, he thinks he will have access to that money. Paypal will hold it, until it is delivered and confirmed. However, if someone sends him BTC... He wins. He just has to reject the paypal payers to keep a clean slate.)

That is a normal eBay scammer... sells crap like USB sticks and pre-pay cards... by the thousands... then instantly seems to have big-ticket items like 70" TV's and $15K BTC miners one day... (Looks trusting, look at all those reviews! lol. Sell ten, run away, deliver nothing, make a new account with auto-drop-shipper listings for more $5 items, get tons of good reviews for crap, sell more big-ticket-items, repeat.)

Shady. Those photos came from AMT's office.

ISAWHIM: Are you going to work for AMT or what?

Read back, I've already stated numerous times why I am here.

My friend and I went in together on Miners from AMT. He isn't active in this thread and I'm speaking on OUR behalf. We have been trying to get a refund from AMT the past month.

I'm not going to share personal order information or names here. The way AMT operates, they would just use this information against us: especially since I have been so OUTSPOKEN on their lack of professionalism.

That's all you need to know. You don't like what I have to say? Ignore me. I don't give a shit.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with folks like you in real life.  GET LOST!

The dislike goes both ways pal. I would be hard pressed not to fuck-you-up in real life.

Where are your names in the order list?

Apparently you didn't get the GIST of what I just told you.

Go back, read it again, then one more time for good measure.

How about you focus on AMT instead of 'who bought what'. As usual, you attack the community instead of AMT: who is fucking US ALL over.

I call B.S. on what you just said.   You can't give specifics.  Sorry dude... you are just as much a liar as AMT.

You don't believe me? I DON'T GIVE A SHIT.

I have been very objectionable to AMT's business from the beginning. You have been the opposite, up until recently when you were forced to delve out of your delusional world and realize something is obviously not right here. Do I want them knowing who my friend and I am, and tie it to this account? OBVIOUSLY NOT.

With that said, put me on IGNORE and continue with the other AMT Cheerleaders in this thread who are 'wishing and hoping' for the best.
