401  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 23, 2014, 06:51:11 PM
So I got my partial refund for the GB sp30. And a few hours later the bitcoin price falls 5%,  Undecided

You think maybe that was not a coincidence? That the price fell because many people who just got their refund sold the btc?

You got refunded in BTC ?
402  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 20, 2014, 09:04:18 PM
It is now a week into the "second half of October"...why is it Spondoolies refuses to provide consistent updates on the status of their products?

Is it that hard to log on every couple days?  You'd think they'd want to provide information to their customers, but I guess when you've already got their money...

As far as i can tell SP is providing reasonable updates. Take a moment to scan the landscape  and look at KNC, BFL and even Bitmain. I am sure they will provide a update soon
403  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 15, 2014, 12:29:26 PM
- Updated SP31, SP35 and SP20 spec will be published on Tuesday or Wednesday next week
- The refund process will start next week and will be completed in October, as promised

The only CEO in the BTC hardware world that actually keeps his word*. Thank you for setting a standard.

*Hopefully no evolving into KNC/BFL

Before you buy the extremely used video cards from the other sellers  Roll Eyes  . I have 4 more cards  Gigabyte Windforce 280X for sale https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=689927.msg9154048#msg9154048, sold 6 already. These cards have been used for less than  2 weeks, additionally i have included stress test results  to ensure that you will have crisp and fluid game play.  Results are in my post

I challenge the other sellers to do the same stress test and post their results as well.

Can you have your developer add support for  Batch RPC Commands ? Its already completed in PeerCoin Development Branch. Can you merge the changes ?  https://github.com/ppcoin/ppcoin/tree/develop
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 11, 2014, 08:57:15 AM
Hi,

Have anyone here use the newly KnC wallet? I can't wait to mine ltc with my titan and store my bitcoin in kncwallet. Wink

You must be broken. Why would you use KNC wallet after what they did to Titan and Neptune customers, other alternatives exist.

*When the money disappears from your wallet in a massive KNC scam, they will point you to the fine print and terms. Based on their current behavior this is not too far-fetched

You either missed the winky or you have no sense of humor.

haha . Totally missed the winky before now!

I have the best 280X for sale on the forum. Reason being they were used for less than 2 weeks.  I am the only seller that also provides a stress test of the card using FurMark to show the quality of my cards.

$170 + shipping

I understand my unit might not be RMA until a week or so because of the holidays. All i am asking is to be compensated or be able to start hashing in your data center.
We'll sort it out after the Holliday, on Sunday.

No problem.

Will wait on the reply from SP to sort out the down time. Enjoy the holidays.
To be clear, it's not part of our SLA or TOS and I'm not promising a compensation here.
I'm not sure we have free machines right now. We usually do RMAs from new machines rolling out of the assembly line if needed.
We'll review the case and decide.

Guy

Guy,

Thank you I understand. Will follow up with SP support.

Enjoy the holidays.

The latest that I am on is 2.4.20 . Nothing else comes back for SP when I try to upgrade
My bad, you are right the version is 2.4.20

Cool Talked too early for me. I have no more errors but it is still not stable. Will have to follow up with SP-Teach tomorrow

Guy,

I have not been able to hash since the machine was delivered on Thursday . Can you please look into this ? I might need RMA

Please contact support@. Please be patient, due to Zvisha's vacation Remo has double the workload.

Guy

Guy,

I understand that it is a holiday. Based on support it has been concluded that the miner delivered was not functional and as a result will need to be RMA. Can I start hashing in your facility or be compensated seeing that this was a September deliver.

415  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan requested - Business startup on: October 05, 2014, 07:57:42 PM
Im not a scammer, and I would never ruin my rep for a measly $5000.   I make exponentially more than that per month anyway.

$5,000 to the power of 2 is $25,000,000
$5,000 to the power of 3 is $125,000,000,000,000,000,000

Which one of those do you make per month?  Or is it more??   Shocked

Vod, you seem to be trolling OP. He has done a lot more than others that have been requesting loans. Additionally he is willing to put out a lien on his property(vehicle etc) but for a greater amount.

At the end of the day the loan is being requested on BTCJam . Give him a chance at least. Most of us here are adults and can do our own due diligence, if at the end of the day anyone gets scammed be happy that you did not invest. But everyone can make their own decisions.

SP-Tech support is world class not only in the Bitcoin industry but technical support in general

  • Upgraded to the latest firmware
  • Made the change in their technical blog as advised echo 1 > /etc/mg_dc2dc_temp_ignore)
  • Now hashing away
  • Offered to ssh into the machine

You cannot ask for better server . Hopefully they don't tease us with all these nice customer services then turn into BFL and KNC

I agree they have been very helpful ...
meanwhile got the Loop9 problem again - Just upgraded to 2.4.40 and noticed the fans were set to 70% and some of the ASICS were at 115c .. configured the Fans back to 80%, restarted miner gate and had the issue you earlier described. I just reboot the machine and is hashing away.

The latest that I am on is 2.4.20 . Nothing else comes back for SP when I try to upgrade

Interestingly, SebJu gave him positive feedback...

The OP is not the scammer based on the username. Another person registered with the same username to try to scam potential buyers. In either case you should use escrow.

Recieved a miner on Friday that was preordered. However it has not run at above 2 TH. I thought it was just doing its calibration thing but upon further investigation the miner appears to not be functional.
Any advice on getting this fixed ?
Did you already emailed SP support?  they are usually pretty fast!

What is their support email ? Is it  info@spondoolies-tech.com . Nothing on the contact us page http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/pages/contact-us

It's support@

It seems that you have a dead PSU. Tried swapping it out and pressing it back in?

The Murata PSUs do not manage to recover from OC. Please update to latest version (2.4.20) and do full 30 second long power cycle.

Thanks. Waiting to have the machines power cycled

Can you explain what happened and link their privacy policy and terms?
