4 second instead of 8 second flushes Huh This should be 4 milliseconds FCS.

At least they are now acknowledging the problem so many of us pointed out long ago.

My defective cube continues to degrade. 2 more DC/DC down as of an hour ago, for a total of 4 defective DC/DC on the same cube. Just sent a request to RMA the cube.

I received one defective cube as well.  3 of 4 DC/DC down.  The cube hashes at about 7Mh/s in bfgminer.  The other three cubes are working flawlessly around 75Mh/s each.

It seems as if this problem is widespread.  Do you think KnC has manufactured numerous cubes and shipped 3 winners and 1 loser to each of their customers?

I think they have DC/DC subsystem, SPI bus and controller performance issues they don't want to talk about. Problems in these areas would account for virtually all of the reported problems with the Titan. There is a 50/50 chance that they are hardware issues, which would account for the apparent production halt.

If you read "Shyliar's" pretty even handed review of the Titan (https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=22290.0)

After starting out very positive it ends 8 pages later like this:

Quote
Basically that it was important to ask for a refund in that 14 day window to protect my interests. When I asked that was the end of any response from KNCminer.

Its obvious KNC really don't give a shit about their customers and are just trying to get these POS bricks out of the door as fast as possible so they can fob you off for 3 months until the warranty runs out. Does anyone here believe they will honour the batch one 1 Year warranty? I don't.

I have heard others report that after requesting a Titan refund, KNC product support services became unresponsive. I have also seen implicit threats by KNC that people who are difficult on their forum may experience delayed response times from support if they need an RMA.

What a bunch of sweethearts.

I find it hilarious how you were going off on the SP-TECH forums about how they didn't meet their specs and how they failed to deliver on their promises (at least they gave refunds as requested right ?)
when you were ordering from the most corrupt company in the history of the bit coin hardware game , the balls on you brah must be outrageous

I treat 'em all the same mate. You should be following all the KNC forum threads if you want a real laugh.
SP/KNC/Alpha/MAT/Bitmain/etc  are all cut from the same cloth. Its a shame really because it is killing the crypto scene.

I'll be happy to revisit my Titan decision in a year after the fat lady sings. But for now, I'd guess my chances of earning a ROI with the Titan are still better than yours with a SP30/1/5

Face it, Bitcoin is in the do-do now and so are you.

~L)L~

I would not say that about SP ...they 'offered me" a refund ..that they did not have to give from a post on their thread on bitcointalk.....due to the fact for home miner use
the sp30 was not gonna cut it.....noise 60db the increase in watts from something like 2300w or some such to 3300w or some such. and down from their 6.5 TH to 4.5 TH
even with the compensation paid back to consumers in OCT to compensate at same GH to $$$ ratio (hey KNC you could learn something here)..and of course their hosting option
I also felt I had to do because the  above was really gonna cramp me up as a home miner.....they sent and email offering a refund from my forum post

Others also have requested and gotten refunds from the above at spondoolies like me who did not follow the forum on bitcointalk and learn about this promptly....

man I'd take back every bad thing I ever said about KNC even them going the data hall route back in jan against their previously stated intentions......hell ...I'd encourage
everyone to send them xmas gifts!......if they really do expect imho any of past customers to go the arctic cloud route in the future a truly obvious and 'self-less' gesture is required any of our trust back

alas an't gonna happen...I doubt they will even extend their warrenty to those who have had their Titans sitting around for the last 3 weeks as doorstops because of
the quality of the product and firmware issues

man I'd really like to be dead wrong....but if it comes between $$$ and Kurt and the Tech support guys....who probably would LOVE to be able to show some love in this
area.....from this last year KNC always always goes for the bucks vs the right thing.......its how they roll now... BFL as the scam king is dead...long live the new king KNC

but yeah you'd think they'd just wrap up the product line in a more sensible manner then this torch and burn the customers with a lousy product method

sad to say...a far cry from the company I dealt with last fall...guality of product and morals etc...I guess it is true money truly does corrupt....

"KNC is not just violating the mandatory 14-day refund laws in their country, but they are refusing to offer refunds for products that they aren’t even shipping in the promised time-frame."  Angry

The problem is if you do not accept the Titan I'm sure KNC will do what BFL did in their dispute....they will take your order out of que and you have zip....no Titan and
if KNC wins or stalls long enough no compensation either ...so it is a gamble....imho...although as Titan drops in value maybe less and less of one

could be an all or nothing bet....you get a refund....or you get nothing (by the time you did get it after litigation i mean like 9 months from now ..if you did not win)

anyway pondering this option...no idea which way I will jump yet accept the unit or refuse it

Hi,

Have anyone here use the newly KnC wallet? I can't wait to mine ltc with my titan and store my bitcoin in kncwallet. Wink

You must be broken. Why would you use KNC wallet after what they did to Titan and Neptune customers, other alternatives exist.

*When the money disappears from your wallet in a massive KNC scam, they will point you to the fine print and terms. Based on their current behavior this is not too far-fetched

yea, KnC is almost the same scam as BFL. Their latest trick are the bonus miners which they did not send.

So are there any batch 2 Neptune customers who haven't received their machines ?

Are there any people who have received their free Neptune ?

Are there people with outstanding RMA issues on the Neptune ?
Still waiting for news of my bonus Neptune. It's starting to feel like a con.

I guess they need to fill a few more Datorhalls first...

Run a Bitcoin node, support the network.

Fly on the wall at the KNC staff meeting recently:

"Crap, BTC is in the toilet. We never expected this. Our business model assumes a minimum of $500 BTC."
What is this "bitcoin" you speak of? Is that what we dump on the exchanges every day?

"OMG, what are we going to do ? I just bought a nice new BMW for my girl friend"
... you know, that hot 180lb blonde on that handball team that we sponsor. Don't tell my wife, please!

"I know … we'll dedicate all of our production to Neptunes. We can ship them to our DC instead of to customers and mine the crap out of BTC while the going is good. Then we'll launch cloud mining and sell over priced mining contracts to stupid people. The stuff we can't sell we'll just mine and dump on the market"
But we've been doing this same thing since before the first Jupiter shipped.

"But what about all the Titan customers?
Customers? Since when do we care about customers? Hahaha!

"We've got problems with the Titan that we'd rather not talk about"
So let's pretend there is no problem and do nothing. We're very good at that!

"We'll build and ship a few before October and then announce that we made our comittments."
You know, exactly like we did with the Jupiter... and then with the Neptunes. These idiot customers never seem to catch on, lol.

"Shouldn't we wait until the Titan  works right and is reliable before we start to ship ? We're having DC/DC, SPI and urgent setwork/flush problems like crazy right now"
You're fired!

"No, we can always blame the pools or something. I'll tell our customer relationship management people to tell everybody we are working around the clock to make it right. Yeah, thats what we'll do. We'll just say that the pools aren't ready to handle the massive power of the Titan. Make sure we disable load balancing too."
Kurt, you have have been promoted!

"But people won't believe us"
You know what? You can join Sven and that Brit that we fired last year... sorry, forgot his name... in the unemployment line!

"Wo cares ?  We can always pay a couple of the paparazzi press to run our story in their rags."
You too are promoted!

"We gotta mine the crap out of BTC asap or we'll be looking for jobs"
Lol, jobs?! We have so much bitcoin stashed away, we'll never have to work again! Oh shit! Are those guys that I fired still here?!

"Umm … that wouldn't be good. I doubt if anyone would give us work after the Neptune and Titan debacles"
Did you not just hear me?! We won't have to worry about having a job ever! With all of the BTC WE scammed... um... err... earned plus all of that VC money that they threw at us, work is the last thing we'll ever have to worry about.

All information is at our factory. We can not tell you when your machine will ship.

I have already answered this questions, I am afraid.

At this moment, that is all I know

We have issued 3 firmware patches and there are still serious functional and reliability problems but we met our Q3 commitment

We can't tell you more about your bonus Neptune

We can not tell you when you will receive your refund.

There are no refunds on the Titan as has been communicated many times here.

Hardware doesn't work ? Try a different pool. We are closing your support ticket.

Its all the pool's fault.

No. Their behavior was arrogant and suspicious from the very first day, and many pointed that out.

By the way. I can't help blaming the victims here a little.. Remember, the sole purpose of a company is to make money. If they sell you miner hardware for less than it'll make in reasonable time, they have failed as a company.
