IS there a way to copy / paste addressess? its inconvenient to write them all in the wallet
lol no kidding. Assuming you're on windows, I've found that you need to open a command prompt, navigate to the directory where your simplewallet.exe is located, and open it there; then you can right click to mark/copy and paste. If you just double click on simplewallet.exe from file explorer, for some reason it doesn't do anything when you right click.

because of my high energy prices and the temperatures in my office ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) it is not possible to mine vtc Really?I leave at Southern Europe (35ºC its the normal daily temperature) and my gpu's are at 70ºC. I use a fan! A domestic one ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) C'mon, electricity costs may be an issue, but unless you leave at Middle East high temperatures shouldn't be a problem ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Agreed. I have my rigs in my garage in Texas. You just gotta get the air flowing in the right direction with box fan(s). Mine haven't gone over 83 or 84 C even when it's up to about 45 C in the garage...

@Jiggy0001I dont want to argue with you. You say a lot that dont want to spread FUD. Reading your last 10 post this is what I read (if this is not spreading FUD, I wonder what is) 1) ...VTC is going down to 0.0005 then being pumped back up to 1USD and then it will go get some rest on the graveyard. So buy now and sell later... but sell forever
2) ...as we speak VTC is simply melting Shocked
3) ...i mean as a VTC holder i am not interested in FUD, but i want to keep this discussion alive, because it seems otherwise there won't be any interest in this coin.
4) ...What we see is just concerning..
5) ...MP has a 24vol of almost 20BTC... Bittrex removed MON btw. What will happen when VTC is next?
6) ...well i am holding and constantly buying... but right now i stopped, cause i am ready to see 0.0005 soon(perhaps mid of next week).
lets face the truth.
7) ...To me this whole story reminds me the death of Mazacoin. An "active" dev team with "great" ideas didnt catch up and so it died.
8 ) ...and you can be sure that miners are dropping their VTC directly to the exchanges.
9) ...Holy shit... the panic took already place with the dumps to the mid 90k`s Reply
10) ...is the coin dead now?
Btw, this is only your last 10 posts I guess he's getting paid, or maybe he thinks he can move the price down a bit to buy more himself just by posting on btctalk, or he just is really down on vtc and feels the need to constantly vent...who knows what goes on inside the mind of a troll...

users should be warned not to use the gui clients if they are not well aware of the use-case risks. it is better to use simplewallet until guis are stable and suitably featured, or simply don't use a wallet at all if you can't handle that. if you are using a gui because you can't handle simplewallet, then you should wait until the gui is stable and idiot-proof.
Users should also rtfm. If you blindly install/run executables or scripts on your computer without even looking at the readme file, well, then whatever ends up happening, you were kind of asking for it, imo. I'm pretty sure all three (or more?) GUI wallets clearly state that they are alpha or beta versions in their respective readme docs.

Hello. I'm pretty beginner and I don't know anything about coding, so maybe anyone could answer me this silly question:
Is it possible to mine Monero with Nvidia? Is it possible to mine it with GUIMINER?
the only gpu miner is for ati and close-source ati + windoze

sounds like either the pool you were using went down or you lost your internet connection...if you have internets try a different pool

This coin is SCAM. AirDrop have not arrived.
wtf are you talking about? airdrop went out to every name on the list that wasn't duplicate address. also, poloniex did giveaway with remaining coins. it still might be/have been a scam, but the airdrop went out to everyone on the list, around 25k coins each.

!!!IMPORANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!! (Read below) 6/20/2014 ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.prosofteng.com%2Fproducts%2Fimages%2Fblue_update_button.png&t=663&c=SBr6RtgA0tayug) Hello everyone, I am a developer working behind the scenes with the CryptCoin development team. I have two pieces of disturbing news that was brought to my attention recently. 1) The main cryptcoin developer included a hidden block within the coin (Block 38400), that he made me aware of containing more than the entire coin count to date. - He offered me 15% of this block to keep quiet, but I will not be swayed by greed to commit such unethical behavior - I have made mindfox aware of the situation (I'm assuming he wasn't aware before) and he has decided to leave the development team. - Due to the last point made, the development of anon send will be suspended until further notice. 2) Bribing of btc-e admins by some of pumpers in the group. Small snip of transcript: http://pastebin.com/Q76VrYdp - I think this speaks for itself, keep in mind the BTC-e administration had no idea about the hidden block 3) Because of these revelvations we have changed the github over to more reputable hands, as well as removing the bad actors from the IRC channel. I hope the community can work past these bad actors and this doesn't mean the end for the coin! lololol, the zealots were so zealous too...how could they be wrong?

Just remember one key thing. Doge and Dark approached BTC-E and were told No, on the spot. Now ask yourself this; why was Crypt not told no? The answer to that question, while you may not find it readily available, is actually more obvious than you think, and its the reason why Litecoin, Darkcoin, Blackcoin, and XC are going to be given a serious run for their money. The truth is out there.
cause it's not even worth their time to reply?

So why don't you put your money else where and leave CRYPTcoin the fuck alone ?
it's called trolling dude...welcome to the internets

Botnets shouldn't matter at all to a coin. They are just the same as "real" miners dumping coins. As long as there are reasons for the user base to grow and use the coin, then it doesn't matter the source of the mining at all. Unless you are a miner trying to compete with bots for short term profit of course.
CPU mined coins are subject to botnets by definition. However, this is not what you want for the coin you're mining or investing in. Large botnet share means that the majority of the coins is obtained by the scammers and is likely to be dumped. This can't be good for the long term development because the coins are spread not among the devs or users, but are obtained by botnet holders.
How much is the case for Monero? I really believe that not all of the spikes are due to botnets, but at least some of them could be.
Are botnets just those trading robots ? botnets are groups of infected computers that can be remotely controlled, but this point is largely moot since gpu mining exists and will likely be refined/optimized in the near future.

Hey everyone! I have a simple question. Or confirmation that what I plan to do will work. I mine to a simplewallet and it's obviously got a ton of dust transaction in it. I now am ready to buy a little XMR too and wanted to make a new wallet to transfer all my XMR to. SO, I plan on just putting a new copy of simple wallet into another/different folder on my computer and generating a wallet with the commands. This is how you do this correct? OR am I going to mess up my older wallet/blockchain? If I am wrong with this procedure, how would you do it? Thanks everyone, Have an awesome day ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) You don't even need to switch folders, really. You can just generate a new wallet (with a different name) in the same folder. If your first wallet was named wallet.bin, just call this one trip96.bin, or trip96.dat, or just trip96 (the extension isn't needed).
