428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things we should know about the price action on candlestick pattern on: October 11, 2023, 01:30:57 PM

I thought this is just a simple multiple test of resistance that creates distribution cycle or perhaps a downtrend.

Because as far as I know, if a resistance or support has been tested multiple times, it gets stronger or is less likely to breakout/breakdown from that range, which is seen from the chart. A more effective approach I guess is to ascertain first the relative strength or weakness of asset vs the leading cryptocurrency, which in this case is bitcoin.

But hey, that's just me as we all have different insights on how we are going to trade the market.
429  Other / Meta / Re: Community Vote: Add "Cybersecurity & Privacy" board to Bitcointalk. on: October 11, 2023, 11:54:01 AM
Your vote: Yes
Have you read the OP of Discussion: "Cybersecurity and Privacy" board + Poll before posting?: Yes
What is your opinion on adding the board to BitcoinTalk?: As someone starting a career in cybersecurity, it's a no-brainer to support the request for creating a security and privacy-related board in this forum. I just don't understand why others would disagree, even though security and privacy go hand in hand in terms of protecting not only our hard-earned money but also our safety.

Also, this could be for selfish reasons, but having a dedicated board for this topic would benefit my career path.

The competition became more tighter to many good artist show some skills and became more competitive since they see a lot of artist now is improving .
HAHA!! Exactly what I thought right now.

Other members who have always participated in monthly art contests, especially in the digital category, have improved a LOT! Seriously, they've become more meticulous, adding intricate details to their artworks. The story of their concept has improved, as well as their choice of colors and the proportionality of Mr. Roo and other fancy add-on characters!

It makes me wonder how I can keep up with these people when I get busy with my day job. You see, creating artworks during school hours is much easier than in the office.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first Bitcoin on: October 11, 2023, 10:29:18 AM
The old adage for most of the people here is, of course, the payout from the signature campaign. When I started, it wasn't Bitcoin I was earning but a number of shitcoins with little to no value in exchange price. It was at that time I realized that mindlessly posting non-interesting stuff is a waste of time. I just thought that as long as there is a Bitcoin or crypto-related word within that sentence, it would do just fine, but really it isn't. Not only did it waste my free time, but it also made me stagnant in terms of knowledge about Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general.

The second would be the Bitcointalk art contest! Boy, oh boy! Consistently winning these contests on a streak for the last 3 years is euphoric! I mean, who in the world could expect that a very technical Bitcoin forum could be a reservoir for Bitcoin-paying art contests? Those winnings not only built a good amount of Bitcoin stash but also helped me finance my tuition fees for my bachelor's degree! I know those are just temporary, but hey, these contests earned a large part of where I am now.

Now that my two decades of education have come to an end, I think the next part of where I can get some more sats would be my corporate job. And yeah, that's more Bitcoin in exchange for becoming a "corporate slave".

I don't know if anyone uses this, but here it goes!

Basically, the button redirects you to the last page of the thread, which, for some, is not considered good practice because it skips the original post, and you end up reading only the last replies. I've been using this a lot especially to those threads whose last reply are from those interesting forum members(which is personal).

Right now, whoever the company who texted me, especially if it is finance related mobile applications, I make sure to ignore or much better delete them.

And now that the Philippines' health insurance corporation has been hacked and become a victim of ransomware, SMS and email of millions of people could have fallen victim to these attackers—a reservoir for bad actors to steal not only money but also PII (Personally Identifiable Information) that they can use to exploit.  Roll Eyes

Maybe? For some people I guess

Although some people have a place in this niche, it doesn't mean that each and every one of us can achieve the same outcome despite exerting the same amount of effort, as discussed in the thread above. Regardless, gamble responsibly.
435  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Experience becoming Binance P2P Merchant on: October 10, 2023, 11:01:44 AM
@hugeblack, thank you for the constructive reply. Right now, I am reading a subreddit topic about other people's experiences in becoming a merchant. From what I have read, I feel a bit disappointed due to their experiences making little to no profit despite working a few hours a day, not to mention the number of multiple wallets that need to be created to avoid transaction limits. Anyhow, are you still a Binance P2P merchant?

I trade my Bitcoin and altcoins for USDT and then transfer that USDT to my GCASH account.
Do you mean PHP?

And always use the floating price if you want to make a profit on the current price.
Thanks for this little tip! I'll research more about the perks when using this. Appreciated!

- always use the floating price type for you to get profit. I prefer 2-4% difference on the highest and lowest order price. But before doing this, try to have comparison to other existing ads too so you can adjust your best price.
Thank you very much for the actual number! That's very helpful

Another question: For example, if you are selling BTC for USDT and have completed a transaction, what is the actual process to convert the USDT back into BTC? Do you use a spot trade to repurchase BTC or exchange your USDT with other fellow P2P merchants? That is, of course, to profit in mind.

436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a strategy to lose on: October 10, 2023, 08:42:20 AM
Perhaps some people haven't matured enough to realize this, and they might still be in the phase of exploration, searching for their niche and the gambling game they enjoy the most. I believe that once they discover a game that piques their interest and offers rewards, that's when they'll dedicate their time to mastering the finer aspects of games like blackjack, poker, or sports betting.

Just as with acquiring any other skill, one needs to explore, find what sparks their interest, and then work on becoming proficient at it.
437  Other / Meta / Re: Reading / responding to other language boards to learn on: October 10, 2023, 08:20:11 AM
Feel free to post on the local board as long as you can read and write in their language without using any translation tools or AI. It's not necessary to be a local resident of that specific region, as long as you can effectively communicate your message in public.

The only exception I've observed is that you can post on another local board if you are mentioned and need to discuss important matters of any kind.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites promotion at espncricinfo on: October 09, 2023, 10:21:08 AM
I believe it's all part of their marketing and sales strategy. After conducting a few searches, they are regarded as one of the primary sources of information about cricket, so it's not surprising to encounter various advertisements on their website.

What you observe might also vary for others based on their location in different countries. However, in my case, it appears that uBlock Origin effectively blocks all these pop-up advertisements. Other than that, if you aren't familiar with what is being shown, ignore it.
439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a Standing Desk the Right Choice for Traders? on: October 09, 2023, 09:50:17 AM
But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world?
I think this all boils down to preferences, as well as how people take care of their physical health, such as getting a good amount of sleep and maintaining a proper diet, among other factors.

However, on a scientific note, there is research[1] that shows standing could affect a person's concentration because standing utilizes some parts of our brain instead of allocating them to more intensive tasks, such as trading, for example.

But if you have the budget and you think it's cool? Why not?

440  Economy / Exchanges / Experience becoming Binance P2P Merchant on: October 09, 2023, 08:54:56 AM
Hi!

I've been using Binance P2P (Peer-to-Peer) services for quite some time now, and I'm really interested in exploring this opportunity to become a Binance P2P merchant to add as another source of active income to my arsenal. However, I'm not entirely sure about the nitty gritty stuff on how one can profit from this niche, and I thought you guys might be of great help in seeking some guidance from those who have experience with it. Any warnings, tips, and suggestions are highly appreciated.

For context, this question has also been posted in our local[1] section, but I don't think our local members have any idea of what it's like to become a merchant, so maybe I could get some insight about this here.
