421  Other / Meta / Re: Why is Halloween not being celebrated in our forum yet this year? on: October 26, 2023, 09:31:23 AM
We saw in our forum that last year a contest was started to celebrate Halloween from 7th of October but why not this year.
It's not an official forum celebration, you don't have to demand for it.
If we're lucky enough to celebrate this moment, contributors will organize such a contest with personal funds every year. Besides, I don't expect it to happen this year, I'm busy IRL. Grin
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto? on: October 26, 2023, 09:11:23 AM
People will not have weird experiences with purchasing items around unless they're fans of random items(mystery boxes) found on the dark web. Or you at least get someone with first experience buying with bitcoin, for them it is a weird payment system.
424  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Risk/AML score on: October 25, 2023, 12:41:04 PM
However, I find that the AML score gives different and varied results from one service to another. Are these results accurate, especially since most of them are generated by artificial intelligence? Can it be relied upon to bring charges or acquit people, since they may lead to criminal charges, or is this not possible as they are based on random results or inaccurate.
When dealing with the law they should not just be satisfied with AI results, because law enforcement will ask for details and accuracy will be assessed in court.
I saw their preferences on other pages, they claim many times to be a certified company and have specialists (human) in the field of investigations.

By the way why is this topic on Service Board?
They're paid intelligence services.
425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Instagram Banned Bitcoin on: October 25, 2023, 06:52:07 AM
Good news, does this also apply to Facebook? I just wanna be free from crypto ads that hurt my eyes.
Honestly, I'd rather all undedicated social media platforms ban bitcoin and crypto, especially selling related advertising space. I consider it a free facility for scammers to connect with crowds of potential victims. So far I have no shortage of bitcoin information resources that are more credible than those platforms.
426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance is Rolling Out Copy Trading? on: October 25, 2023, 06:39:55 AM
Oh yea, that was part of the reason I didn't really try copy trading on Binance. I use it on my other exchange that doesn't require a third party before trying out the copy-trading feature
That's actually not a problem if they offer the same features and experience as regular copy trading. It is integrated legitimately, I think binance will be responsible on the failure of that third party module.
Anyway, before your post, binance actually launched their new copy trading feature on the futures market[1]. I haven't checked further whether it remains a 3rd party or their own module.

427  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism vs AI Posting on: October 25, 2023, 04:55:47 AM
The forum moderators understand better, I dont support the outright use of AI to generate answers
The point is for AI to help, not to replace. In percentages, it might be a max of 5-10% by the AI and 90% by you. If the number is the opposite, it means you are only representing AI here. This forum prevents robots from registering by implementing a captcha. Tongue

but I believe AI can also be used to make your write beautiful.
Do you always have to write a question prompt for your gf:
Code:
Make a beautiful question to a girl whether she likes pie.

This forum accepts human grammar from any part of the world, which is a blessing because of the variety of native languages.
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone holds 1 bitcoin in 2023, can he call himself rich ? on: October 23, 2023, 03:14:55 PM
Judging richness is relative, it depends on the principles you judge it from, and several other supporting things. Put it this way, a comparison of two people in a drought-stricken country: someone who only has an old, active well will be considered richer by those around him than someone who has 1 ton of gold.
429  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: TrustWallet on: October 23, 2023, 02:51:27 PM
Hello
Does anyone else have an issue with the new version (8+) of Trust wallet when using dApps ?
When I connect to some dApps the first screen to approve the connexion pops up as usual but then when I am using the dApps I don't receive any prompts to confirm any transaction anymore. When I check in the WaletConnect section I see the dApps are connected to my wallet, but I don't receive anything from them whatever I do expect the connection confirmation when I try to connect them. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? I specify that right before the upgrade of the wallet everything was working fine.
Does this problem apply to all dapps? Have you tried revoking all authorization permissions to dapps connected to the wallet?
Some dapps implement remembering your connected session, making it possible to approve all interaction activities automatically after the first authorization approval. As far as I remember, compound finance dapp applies this mechanism. cmiiw
430  Other / Meta / Re: Solution to account seller? I think on: October 23, 2023, 02:26:02 PM
Account trading isn't prohibited, so I think there is no need to think about going to the trouble of trapping the perpetrator. Their initiative is clearly not to contribute to the forum, there is a big sign that is visible. Let them spend some of their money on useless accounts (after changing hands). They just activate their own time bomb to get caught, then do the same thing over and over again until they give up.
431  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Low trading fee on MEXC on: October 23, 2023, 02:11:25 PM
I think I like the exchange but the only thing I wish the exchange could have is multiasset mode or a unified trading account, but which some trader will not like though as they see opening position with multiple currencies to be risky. To open a position with a single currency, I think the exchange would be good.
Maybe you mean the Coin-Margined Perpetual Contract Trading Modes[1] feature. Anyway, this was an announcement 3 years ago, idk if it's still available now or not, I'm not an active MEXC user. Don't you see the settings related to this feature?

432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My little research. on: October 23, 2023, 01:59:59 PM
what if one is not a salary earner ?
As long as you understand the risks, you can freely go with it. Usually, an entrepreneur understands more about financial management because income is uncertain.
433  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coins.ph hacked, $6 million lost? on: October 22, 2023, 12:05:49 PM
It's a simple fix for this potential issue - just be straight with the folks, tell the truth. If there hasn't been a hack, they should put out a public statement to clear up all this FUD.
I'm sure a hack has occurred, any service wouldn't allow a commotion among customers for several days because of fake news.
However Coinph should try to divert customers' attention from this incident, or the problem will have to become more complicated with consequences that they'll have to face.
434  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [ANN] Selling Premium Domain - BitcoinTalk.shop - Perfect for Crypto Enthusiasts on: October 22, 2023, 11:41:05 AM
Trust and Authority: BitcoinTalk is a well-known and respected name in the crypto world. Owning this domain can help you gain trust and authority in the industry.
More precisely bitcointalk.org, just this. Some scammers in the past tried to create duplicates using different domains such as .to (which was quite well known at the time). That doesn't necessarily make the site respected, but rather hated.
The domain you're offering has no structural relationship with this forum, so I don't understand what authority you're actually offering and how it will reach a level of trust faster.
435  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a formula for Bitcoin starters? on: October 22, 2023, 06:32:44 AM
As experienced investors are there measures that can be imbibed by new investors with little capital to help boast their capital. Some will want to mention patience which I will agree to but in situations where the money is needed to meet an emergency need how to you tackle such situations. Your formula might be a saving approach.
Apart from basic needs funds, you must prioritize emergency funds over investment funds. Sometimes people force themselves to invest without considering their own financial condition. In difficult times, negative investments actually make you make even more difficult decisions.
Investments aren't always able to save you in all situations.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin for everyone? on: October 22, 2023, 05:59:54 AM
I am asking this because not everyone has made tangible profit for holding. Just like myself I end up selling at a loss most times just to solve a problem. Some might be lucky to buy at a low rate and within few weeks or months the price just pumps to their favour. This kept me wondering if Bitcoin is actually for every one or it is a scheme for selected individuals..
It concludes that you're not prepared for financial possibilities. Especially if you're bad with your own financial management, then hodling up to your sales targets is just a dream. Hodling isn't as simple as you think, investment shouldn't interfere with other parts and vice versa.
437  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trade Medex on: October 22, 2023, 05:37:49 AM
Mary-jane mcquillen - this is the person doing all the advising to him. Is he being scammed?
Yes, your friend was scamed.
I just googled the company number/license or whatever it is and it gave me another company exchange as a top result. https://www.google.com/search?q=ACN+127+606+348+and+NZBN+9429042567608
Code:
www.axi.com

It is impossible for different companies to have the same company number. I've honestly never heard of either one, but it seems like this is completely duplicated.
438  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: bounty hunter makin berkurang karena maraknya projec scam on: October 21, 2023, 12:40:32 PM
439  Other / Meta / Re: Requesting for a Bengali translation and Press release sub board on: October 21, 2023, 12:15:51 PM
Every time someone translates a topic their post has been rewarded with 10 to 20 merits.
Are your local smeriters not native speakers?
Granting the new local board's request won't change this practice. I think the main problem isn't the translators, but you have a compulsive local smeriter. Try to conducive to this point first. I support providing your local board but not for the sole reason of wanting to prevent users from ranking up.
440  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: October 21, 2023, 11:45:27 AM
What's a good lobby? Is it some kind of a connection or communication as a result of being friendly to them and you have given them a tip (money) each time you enter the bank? It may work but it's risk for both parties. I don't think I can take it.
Yeah, a common "evil" practice of borrowers in my locality is that you have to have very good connections to bank insiders. Then you just have to look for potential borrowers who will then become your "referrals". With some manipulative explanations you can say that, your referral loan proposal will only be approved if the loan amount is accumulated with yours."

With insider cooperation, this proposal will be easier to pass. Of course you still have a bill for your share but it is not a written responsibility, because you borrowed in someone else's name.
