thx for info!
very good ranking system which is noob-friendly.
however since i'm "brand new" member i would like to know how to achieve "newbie"-status by posting "(none)"- posts? Cheesy

you can only get out from brand new status by making a post. which you just did.
442  Economy / Gambling / Re: 99000x is possible at betking.io on: March 26, 2016, 01:46:02 PM
I like to chase low odds, this morning on betking.io i chased the 99000x and after 45944 rolls this happened to my surprise Smiley

Wow, congrats, wasn't even aware there are dice sites that offer such odds, so theoretically you can win 0.396 btc from their 400 satoshi faucet  Grin
Then you have to play all day dice because of the delay between faucet claims. The amount is not that big it's worth doing the whole day.

that doesn't even look like faucet rolls. look at the time, he's rolling almost every second.

edit:
oh wait never mind. I just tried the faucet with my old(ish) account and got 1.2k sats. maybe it varies.
I thought the faucet only gives 100 sats. guess I'll try my luck with the faucet now.  Grin
443  Economy / Gambling / Re: 99000x is possible at betking.io on: March 26, 2016, 12:51:37 PM
is first time a see a dice site with this moltiplicator, generally i play to site maximum 99,99

but if you have play 45944 rolls with 100 satoshi, you don't have lose 0,4 bitcoin ?

OP lost only 0.045944BTC . and that can be considered very lucky. if anyone want to try this expect a much higher losses.
444  Other / Meta / Re: Is it me or the Favicon isn't working? on: March 25, 2016, 06:07:07 PM
Noticed it today and thought something was different, checked to see if I was maybe at a phishing site but thankfully I was not.

Earlier it had a bitcoin icon. Not sure if it is only at my end.. apologies if that's the case.

works here on firefox. clearing your browser cache and restarting it might fix the problem.

448  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: want to delate the electrum wallet from pc on: March 25, 2016, 09:16:44 AM
what is a seed ?
and where do i find it

seed is a combination of random words that you can use to restore your wallet when/if you lose them. you can find your wallet seed by clicking the seed icon on the bottom right corner or from the option Wallet > Seed.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 confirmations in 10mins with minimal fees!!! on: March 25, 2016, 08:55:05 AM
the only thing that is out of the ordinary here is the fast confirmation of a low fee transaction (even then we can't be sure if the fee was lower than recommended without seeing the transaction hash).
the part about 3 confirmations just means that 3 blocks was found within 10 minutes. that happens almost everyday. I do agree that bitcoin is doing fine currently.
450  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: want to delate the electrum wallet from pc on: March 25, 2016, 06:00:32 AM
thanks yes thats how i imaged it.

and the old version of electrum i have on my pc has a bug that does no sumarie of coins in adresses i guess

then all i would have to do is to update it ?
its a 1.9. something version

yes update to the latest version. keep a copy of the wallet file just in case. and write down the seed if you haven't done that already.

Thank you.

453  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: want to delate the electrum wallet from pc on: March 24, 2016, 08:51:11 PM
thanks for the replys

it would be very interesting to find out what it is
now that the first shock of missing coins if over (  Grin ) i am curious wath was.

i went on blockechain info  and checked the adress
and there it showed the transaktion
but in 2 pices

i mean it moved that coins to two adresses
i know i moved on part of the coins myself
but not that bigger second part now i wonder is that a normal move coins do if you transfer part of a coinamont from one adress lets say to a escrow ?
i mean i can be wrong but as i understand bitcoin
you have an adress and you sign lets say the amount of 10 to it
so you cant just move 1 out of it
couse originaly there are 10 signed to that adress
could it be that to move there are new adresses created ?
or am totaly wrong ?

sounds like you're talking about change address. most wallets have this feature turned on by default.
when you send any amount of btc to an address and you have some bitcoin left, they will be sent to a newly-generated (if not specified) address.

454  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: want to delate the electrum wallet from pc on: March 24, 2016, 04:48:29 PM
has anyone an idea
1. why it told me my btc are gone? 0 balance
2. can i just erase it with win deinstall?
and would that have any affect on the adresses i use also in bitcoin qt?

1. few possibilities here. old version bug (lower than 2.x.x . maybe higher), connection/server issues, wrong wallet file.

2. if you're talking about the wallet file, it won't be deleted when you uninstall electrum so you've got to do it manually. default wallet directory in windows is %appdata%\Electrum\wallets .
it can't affect the bitcoin qt in any way. same thing goes for the addresses. of course if you have doubts you can always export your private keys.
455  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Someone trying to hack my account in changer.com on: March 24, 2016, 03:19:31 PM
What should i do guys? why they are know my account id in changer.com?

change your password and scan your PC for any malwares. I just asked their support and it seems you can create a referral with your username so if you ever shared it then that might be why someone knows it. though there are other ways to get your username even if they're not public.
456  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can I update to 2.6.2 latest on: March 24, 2016, 12:31:02 PM
So you are saying I need to install the 2.6.2 version in my same machine and use the seed to restore it ? If thats the case I am staying with 2.5.4 then.

not if you didn't delete the wallet files. the wallet files doesn't get deleted even when you install another version.
457  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can avarage block time calculated in every 2016 block be manipulated? on: March 24, 2016, 12:00:04 PM
The algorithm does not look at the timestamp at all, but when the blocks arrive.

I would appreciate it if someone can elaborate/confirm this. as I understand it with my very limited knowledge the algorithm does look at the timestamp. but the protocol rules requires the block timestamp to not be more than two hours in the future and greater than the median timestamp of previous 11 blocks.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Block_timestamp

so a hundred blocks with fake timestamp won't even create a large effect.
458  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can I update to 2.6.2 latest on: March 24, 2016, 11:24:25 AM
I've been installing different versions over each other back and forth for testing purposes. it should be fine as long as you keep your wallet file and the seed.

there's no way of doing it from via the command line afaik.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Percentage of addresses used on: March 24, 2016, 08:55:28 AM
As other have said, the possible amount of Bitcoin addresses is a lot - around the number of sand we have on Earth. I believe, It is possible to know the percentage of used Bitcoin addresses but it will take sometime. A lot of new addresses are created everyday by mixers and payment processors etc. However I do not think we have or will reach 50% anytime soon.

there's only around 2^63 grains of sands on earth. to get to close to the number of possible addresses you'll need to multiply that by approx a hundred and fifty octilion (150 with 27 zeroes). that's not close at all.

trying to find even 1 percent of those addresses will take a huge computing power.
460  Economy / Auctions / Re: [SELL] jr. member bitcointalk account with yobit campaign on: March 24, 2016, 08:27:14 AM
Hi, is it priced 0.045 becsuse of the signature campaign or am missing something. thanks

it shouldn't be because joining yobit is completely free. auction is really overpriced as you can bid on a Full-Sr member for 0.045 on BIN for 0.1
