441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: January 07, 2024, 03:40:48 PM
Well they won't be in 3rd place anymore since the game ended in a draw. Vitória de Guimarães got a late equalizer in the 98th minute which is hard to believe because I had expected Braga to put this one to bed and keep it under wraps. The fact that Braga can't win  games like this is the reason why they haven't won Liga Portugal.

https://talkimg.com/images/2024/01/06/sEsYP.jpeg

Well, there goes my bet for today. Benfica delivered in the acca only for Braga to lose it all for me with that draw. I will have to go again.
Damn, I checked on result Flashscore just just few minutes before the end when Braga was still leading and was sure that I won my bet already. You're right, that's typical Braga and this is why they're always out of Top 3, not even talking about winning league. And now they're already 7 points behind Sporting.
Porto also ruined my acca few days ago. It's big upset, but after all, it's their city derby and surprises like this sometimes happens in derbies.
442  Other / Meta / Re: (Any Guesses?) Are there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? on: January 07, 2024, 03:28:48 PM
Honestly, you're offending yourself.

Most of the people here who join signature campaigns have a great deal of knowledge about the crypto industry, as Campaign Managers like Hhampuz and Julerz ensure that all their participants aren't here to get money while they dish out toilet-worthy content. And people like me (who have been in this jig for many years now and have become part of signature campaigns in the past and the present) are just as interested as you guys are with the technology of bitcoin. I'm a crypto tech writer for crying out loud.

You're basically looking for things to offend yourself. No signature campaign members care about how you hate them or whatever, what do you care if they are here for the side hustle money and not for the technology? Does that automatically mean that they'd dish out shitty content? NO! Does that also mean that people who don't have signatures post crispy valuable content either? NO!

Matter of fact the hate is misdirected against sig members! If you really wanna purge shitposters you have to look someplace else!

So, you want to say that there is no people in signature campaigns who dish out toilet-worthy content? Maybe in highest paying campaigns - yes. But in general, there is plenty of such people. Either they have no idea what they're talking about, repeating what as already said oreven using AI for their posts.
Ok, I'm not the most tech savvy guy on this forum, but I'm not posting in topics where I don't have enough knowledge or have no interest about subject.
You're right that signature campaign participants don't care what I think about them, same like I don't really care for qhat reasons they come to Bitcointalk. If someone here is for money and not technology and they're posting quality content - that's just great. Not tryng to spread hate on signature campaign members as it would be stupid when I'm wearing paid signature myself.
443  Other / Meta / Re: (Any Guesses?) Are there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? on: January 06, 2024, 08:44:33 PM
I think it's time we stop this discrimination against people who wear signatures from those who don't. In the first place, and let's be honest about this, a lot of us here wouldn't be doing stuff for the love of bitcoin or to better contribute to the industry, cause that's not gonna pay the bills (not to misconstrue that signature campaigns could pay your bills or whatever), plus it's to be expected especially from a growing social networking platform like bitcointalk to have its own way of monetizing interactions and content, and it just so happened that it's as decentralized as crypto itself.

I get it, it's nice every now and again to do stuff just cause you love it. Frankly speaking if the world doesn't entirely revolve around money or power for sure a lot of us here would've loved to do that too, but many here rely upon these signature campaigns as means to get their side hustle money (and it's not like their content is garbage either I've seen many signature campaign members in the past post valuable nuggets of info and wisdom here) and hating on them just doesn't make you look any better or smarter. If you can't beat them, be happy for them is the name of the game and is all I'm saying.
I like your answer because it's straigh and honest. It's true that many here isn't because they like Bitcoin or something similar, but simply because they need money. But still, they pretend that they're interested, come here not justto make money and would continue posting even if signature campaigns would disappear.
But I don't agree with your point about discirmination. Put yourself into perspective ofsomeone who is here not for money, but because they like technology. And people who are making generic posts just for their signature campaign quota is ruining their experience here.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet.io AFCON 2024 prediction pool discussion thread on: January 06, 2024, 08:36:38 PM
Not gonna comment for the rest but Japan is a top team and I would watch them over any African team anytime. They play just the kind of football I like and are in top form at the moment. They were freely scoring against many top European countries and they have much better tactical awareness then African teams.

I must admit I am not watching African football and while they have some top talent those matches I watched almost always leave me disappointed. There were so many poor games and tactical errors in last AFCON, I really hope this one will be much better.
For me there is just 2 teams from Asia that is interesting to watch - South Korea and Japan. While African teams have more bigger names, but so often watching their games ends with big disappointment. But in general, I don't see big difference between level of Asian and African level. Best indicator is results in World - for both getting out of group is already big achievement. In 2018 just Japan managed to do it. Last World Cup is already different story when we had Japan and South Korea from Asia and Senegal and offcourse Morocco in knockout stages.

exactly this, because there is probably more fan based money in Women Premier league than in whole Asian leagues combined, with players included
Scottish also, I know almost all clubs in top4 Scottish divisions, and would have hard time to list 10 teams from whole Asia, South Korea and Japan excluded

not sure about South Africa, but it is commonwealth as well, so probably that is the reason (or Superbru founders have some connections there, and that would explain AFCON as well)
Scottish league is biggest mystery, why do they have it on Superbru. In general, this league is all about 4 games in season - Old Firm derby. Rest games like Motherwell - Kilmanrock is difficult to watch.

I know Algerian and Morocco ultras are the best (I love their chants too) but these are guys who will regularly see good regional and international football, with pretty good coverage. I really think you're doing Asian football a disservice. Yes it's low quality. Yes even the pitches are like cow farms when it rains. Yes it's shit.

But fan culture and passion? You have to recognise football in our unknown corner of the world is at least as big and passionate as in Europe.
Not going to argue about it. Sometimes I randomly tune in streams ofsome Japanese or South Korea league games on weekend mornings and damn, what atmosphere they have issomething amazing. But on the other hand, plenty of games of AFC Champions league is played in half empty stadiums.
Ultras in Algeria and Morocco is huge thing andwhat crazy performances they make. I don't know much about African football, but I'm mostly amazed about Raja Casablanca ultras.
Another question is level of football in these regions, but it's not problem to be passionate about game and supporting your team.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: January 06, 2024, 12:41:07 AM
Never seen this in my life aswell. I think thus must be some kind of record in the euroleague. Efes had a few chances to win the game but just wasnt lucky at all and Real Madrid got really lucky and took the win in the 4th overtime. Still what a match so many players with 20+ points and Musa with 40 points. Musa carried the team again in the league again.
It was longest ever Euroleague with 4 overtimes, previous record was just 2 overtimes. Real is first team ever to score 130 points and both teams scoring 256 points is highest result ever. Previous one was just 225 between Baskonia and Efes last season.
Larkin over 53 minutes played, Pleiss 52 minutes, it will be difficult to repeat such thing again.

Some attention to other game, Valencia lost in such stupid way, score was equal, they had attack and with less than 2 seconds remaining Brandon Davies fouled while fighting for rebound. Offcourse that PAO used this gift, Lessort scored one free throw and won the game.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: January 05, 2024, 10:53:51 PM
WTF I just watched? 4 overtimes between Real and EEfes, are you kidding me? I'm watching basketball for maybe 20 years, but it's first time when I watch game with 4 overtimes. Now I can't even remeber watching game with 3 overtimes. And it's also highest scoring game in Euroleague history. Musa with 40 points, unbeleavable.
6th defeat in a row for Efes, but now they can blame only themselves for wasting 9 point lead in 2nd overtime. Feel sad for them. Now I just hope that this weekend's games in domestic league will get postponed for Real and and Efes Cheesy. Otherwise it will be easy money to bet for their opponents. Some players played almost without substitutions.
I have no words remaining...

Congrats to @Renato297 for beating me and reaching next round in Cup. Really haven't done well with La Liga questions, while my opponent got it both correct. How I can rate my performance in Cup? Better than last season, but wanted to reach more. Now Ican focus on league only and how to not relegate from it. Despite winning last round, still it will be hell a task.
448  Other / Meta / Re: Why was the gambling risk warning removed? on: January 05, 2024, 08:33:13 PM
I know what you're talking OP, but I haven't seen such warning displayed in recent days. Maybe it was displayedfor short time and I wasn't online then. But I think that it would be good to have such warning, in past I already posted about it several times.

This sounds somehow funny though but notwithstanding, whether they remove the gambling risk warning or not you as a gambler already know that gambling is associated with too many risks thereby you ought to gamble with caution so for them removing the warning doesn't necessarily change anything as people that will gamble responsibly will do while the ones that won't also follow the warning will not also do so it's dependent how the gambler chooses to play be it in a responsible manner or not after all it's his money he's gambling with so it's his choice on how to play his gamble.
If everyone would know risk of gambling, then wewouldn't have problems like gambling addiction and so many lifes ruined because someone lost all his money. I don't know how much these warnings really works, but at least it doesn't harms. Gamblin ads that you can see on TV usually have warning that you should play, cigarette packs also is full of warnings of what harm it makes.
449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Moving to America on: January 05, 2024, 07:58:28 PM
a place with exotic animals which could represent a danger for people in general, like alligators, anacondas, etc. you can indeed feel some relief during the winter, but during summer temperatures and thermal sensation could be unbearable, even for some residents.
If OP had some curiosity or attraction for the Latino people, though it would be a good option for him, it is no secret there is a bunch of people from Latin America living there in Florida.
The prices of real state are of course as high as one would expect.
I think that danger of alligators or anacondas is more like sterereotype which comes from movies, rather than real threat. Yeah there is some risk, but it's something similar like chance to meet wolf or bear in forest somehwere in Eastern Europe - 99% that it won't happen.
Good point about climate in summer. I like hot weather, but such conditions continues for a long time, maybe it would already too much, especially when humidity makes it worse.

BTW, found nice map showin top US states to live in:

Didn't expected such one-sided Belgrade derby. Crvena Zvezda started game so powerful and after 1st quarter they didn't looked back. Perfect double week for Zvezda and with 2 wins they become significantly closer from play-in zone.
Great drama between Olympiakos and Monaco. Mike James tried to become hero, but he missed half court buzzer beater and Oly won the game

Fenerbahçe won against Maccabi in Lithuania much more comfortable than I expected today. Especially in the first half of the match Georgios Papagiannis dominated the inside. After losing to Crvena zvezda at our home winning against Maccabi was very important for us. On top of that as we won by a big gap we captured the superiority against Maccabi on head-to-head as well.

Tomorrow the other Turkish representative Anadolu Efes are going to play against Real Madrid away. Frankly I'm expecting a high-scoring match. Especially when we think about Anadolu Efes' weaknesses in defense it wouldn't be a surprise for me if Real Madrid score 100 points.
Fenerbahche left no chance for Maccabi, winning by 35 points, scoring 109, it's clubtheir highest scoring game ever in Euroleague.
With all respect to Efes, I don't see them winning in Madrid. But agree that we can expect high scoring game.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: January 04, 2024, 08:35:33 PM
Wow, what a game. After 3-3, I thought that I was right, but still Girona snatched the victory. But by the way, this does not negate the fact that a bet on Atlético to win with odds of 6 looks like value.
Judging by the statistics, a draw would be a fair outcome, but... maybe this is champion luck?  Roll Eyes
My condolences to Morata who scored a hat-trick but there is no way to rejoice because of the final result.
This was best game that I saw this season. Just crazy! And that Martin goal which Girona was cherry on top. How many Atletico players were around him? Maybe 4 and he still scored somehow.
Best attack in league and very average defense and it makes Girona games so interesting to watch. And yeah, live bet on Atletico made sense, as it really looked that they can win this.
Las Palmas - Barcelona just started, probably it will ve another not easy game for Barca. After all, Las Palmas have best defense in league after Real.
452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Darts] 2024 PDC World Darts Championship 🎯180🎯 on: January 04, 2024, 08:23:13 PM
I saw it online and in the frist sets Luke Litters was better. He lead 4:2 and had a very good chance to make the 5:2, you have to see that... maybe there are replays on youtube. He should have thrown 112 points (3x18+18+2x20), but he throws 2 darts in dripple 18, unfortunately he doesnt hit the last dart in the double 2, that was very close. Those were three throws that changed the whole game, he didnt win a set after that. He lost all, 5 in a row, a knockout. It would have been nice that a 16-year-old didnt become world champion, that would have been something completely new.
It was maybe one of crucial moments of final. Littler was close from making his lead very comfortable. And then Humphries showed masterclass, winning 6 sets in a row.
Teenager winning World Championship would be something that would be hard to repeat for someone in future. But I think everything is still ahead for Littler. While Humphries win was well deserved.
This ournament had everything - Littler making history, some big upsets, huge comebacks. Except one thing is missing - 9 darter.
453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: January 03, 2024, 10:19:40 PM
So, Barca won in El Clasico, maybe it helped for them that they were understimated a bit and there was less pressure for them. In 1st half it looked that Real will run away with crazy offense, but it didn't happened. Vesely, what a beast he was today.
Efese suffered another defeat, already 5th in a row and getting more far away from play-in spot. I guess coach Can chair is very hot now.
@CLS63, price of tickets for tomorrow's Fenerbache - Maccabi game starts from €29 up to €234. It would be ok price for Vilnius or Kaunas, but not for city like Panevezys where they barely fill half of arena on local Lietkabelis games with 2x cheaper tickets. I guess that there will be about half arena filled, maybe 2500-3000 people.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: January 03, 2024, 09:01:40 PM
I think we are going to see goals in this match, Girona is missing some players today but they managed to have the best attack in La Liga.
This could be good chance for Atletico to come back in race for championship title and reduce the gap from top two clubs, even more if Real dont win against Mallorca today.

It's crazy how I'm burning my money in 2024, losing almost all my bets this year. And main reason why is La Liga results this round.
At least Girona - Atletico BTTS after 14 minutes is some positive for me, but odds weren't high barely covers my previous losses.
Girona just scored another goal and leading 2:1, but I need draw in this game, not just for pool, but for BSFL cup too.
455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Moving to America on: January 03, 2024, 08:55:00 PM
If I had to move to the United States and wanted to have some semi-normal standards of living, then I would try to stay away from big cities and find a place to live in the rural areas of the country, probably in the center-north of the country. Houses/rents are more affordable there, there is less people drugged living in the streets and it would be much calmer; though all if it comes with less diversity/tolerance for people of different skin color/origin and also, it is more difficult to find a job in rulsr areas of the country, one would need to be willing to either work remotely or get one's hand dirty working in farms.
Regardless where one ends up living, the best choice is to try the legal ways to move in the USA.
I haven't been to USA, so, I can't advice to OP, but personally, I wouldn't like to live in huge cities like New York and LA. As someone who lives in small city, I prefer calm rhytm of life and reaching everything what I need in less than 30 minutes. I would hate to spend hours of my life daily in traffic jams. And when I see how much rent of tiny apartment in New York costs, you have to earn a lot just to pay for rent. And there is some places in these cities you better avoid visiting if you care about your safety, like Bronx for example.
Florida for someone who hates winter looks like great place to live. Maybe I wouldn't want to live in Miami, but it would be interesting to visit it one day just feel that Vice City vibe Smiley.
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet AFCON prediction pool discussion thread on: January 03, 2024, 08:34:10 PM
Last AFCON was really, really dull. Few goals and just cautious play. Algeria was shit. Egypt was lobbing balls everywhere, Senegal were the best but also just not reckless enough. Watchability is less about talent, more about risk-taking.
Now I remember why I barely watched previous AFCON. Games weren't very exciting and IIRC there was plenty of 0:0 scores and very few having over 2.5 goals.
I still have to find where to watch it, usually AFCON isn't covered well here and remains in shadow of club football. I think it's streamed on worst possible service in my country - Viaplay, so, probably I will have to look for IPTV.
Going to pay on weekend. If fee will be not too crazy will go with BTC, if not, will have to figure out with USDT as I never used it Cheesy.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: January 02, 2024, 09:31:02 PM
big win for Crvena Zvezda in Istanbul, Fenerbahce started well, but Zvezda was back till half-time and got to a win in last quarter
important win to be back into fight for play-off

Partizan is at +30 against Asvel, it seems that Asvel is not a Euroleague quality team, as it looks in this match
Zalgiris won against Alba, Maccabi won against Monaco, and Olympiakos is trying to save their win over Olimpia in last minutes, after bad last quarter
Not watching Partizan game, but from result it looks that relaxed a bit in 4th quarter and Asvel managed not to get humiliated. Anyway, good practice before Belgrade derby on Thursday Smiley.
While Zvezda made surprise, it's first defeat for Saras at Fenerbahche.
Tomorrow we have El Clasico and even playing away Real is favoured. Nothing surprising when you see how they play and how much Barca is struggling recently.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Darts] 2024 PDC World Darts Championship 🎯180🎯 on: January 02, 2024, 05:19:12 PM
and so you can be wrong, because anything is possible in this world championship! Shocked
the unseeded Scott Williams defeated the highly-favored MvG 5-3 yesterday and will now meet Luke Humphries in the semi-finals, who had no problems in his 5-1 win over Dave Chisnall.
the other semi-final today is Rob Cross vs Luke Littler
Damn, my post aged so badly Cheesy. After Van Gerwn lost 1st set 0:3, I thought it's just slow start. But things didn't changed that much further and it was difficult to recognize Van Gerwen yesterday.
Expected much more from Chisnall, but this match was such short, Humphries won comfortable.
Seems that Littler is favoured a bit against Cross, but I will refrain from predictions here. And Williams vs Humphries, don't want to understimate Williams after yesterday, but I don't believe that he will make another huge upset.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet AFCON prediction pool discussion thread on: January 02, 2024, 05:09:45 PM
I was surprised when I got email from Superbru with invitation to AFCON pool. Didn't expected that we will have pool for AFCON this time. Not really sure how much I will follow it as previous time I managed to watch not so many games, mainly just in decisive stages. But offcourse that I'm in - how I can miss football prediction pool here Cheesy?
I agree that it should be paid pool - it just will make pool more fun and attractive. But not sure what fee we should have. $50 is ok for me, but it may be a bit too much for others, not sure.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Darts] 2024 PDC World Darts Championship 🎯180🎯 on: January 01, 2024, 06:27:34 PM
A final between Littler and MvG would be my dream final also but than I think Van Gerwen will win it, allthough you never know. Just checked the odds for the match Littler vs Dolan and couldn't find any real value. For the bookies, Littler is the clear favorite to win, his odd to win is only 1.18, which is no value at all.
And as expected, Littler didn't had any troubles against Dolan and won 5:1, though he was close from winning in 5 sets. Other match between Dobey and Cross was much more interesting and Rob Cross won it 5:4
Evening session is starting soon. For me it's difficult to imagine Van Gerwen losing against Scott Williams, only question how many sets he will need for a win. Othergame between Luke Humphries and Dave Chisnall should be more interesting, though Humphries is quite obviously favoured by bookies.
