I am wondering if there is any particular event that is extremely important that happened in the month of August, especially in Roobet. I am sure I am missing out on something that makes August unforgettable.

As funny as it may sound, at first, I thought that August has something to do with World Breastfeeding Week. However, after a few weeks, I realized that creating artworks in line with that theme would be inappropriate. LOL

If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to use Roobet's monthly or special occasion contests as a way to practice, apply, and hone your digital/handmade craft skills. This will help you establish yourself as an artist and be able to create something even more magnificent when Bitcointalk launches its anniversary art contest in a few years.

I mean participating consistently can make you more employable, give you the ability to do some freelancing stuff on the side, establish a good forum reputation, and of course help the Roobet team in terms of marketing. It's like killing multiple flies with just one slap 

Hi! Just wanna share my experience using their service and all I can say is that I am not happy with GCrypto's bitcoin onchain transaction fee. Hayop! pa-share share pa ako ng GCrypto update dati tapos hindi ko rin naman pala magugustuhan 



Kung makikita ninyo, around 1.5k - 1.6k yung transaction fee, mas malaki pa ata yan sa coins.ph saka Binance. Although aware naman akong may cut sila diyan pero hindi pa rin understandable lalo na segwit address naman yung magre-receive ng funds. I have no choice but to convert them back to PHP para maiwasan yung ganong kalaking fee. Saka ayoko lang din talaga itrade sa XRP for cheaper withdrawal alternative.

Yun lang naman yung rant ko so don't make the same mistake I did.

Regardless of their decision, your effort should be seen publicly even if you are not expecting something in return. Whenever I see someone, posting their work, trust me, someone out there appreciates it including me! 

Haha yeah! As time goes by, the art contest are getting competitive and the entries keeps getting better especially in the digital category. And it seems like the other members keeps practicing their stuff especially now that they aware that Roobet would perhaps launch monthly contest, if not, during special occasions.

Plus, losing from the last contest is no biggie, its just that I am so busy these past few weeks getting the requirements for employment especially now that I have my bachelors degree

Kapag hindi mo alam ginagawa mo or wala kang idea sa mga shits na mayroon sa crypto, then you are better off not doing any financial decisions or else you'll get burned. Unless sobrang yaman mo na kahit matalo ka, hindi gaanong maapektuhan yung financial health mo.

As per negative feedback, you can't do anything else unless mag message ka sa member na nagbigay ng negative trust sayo. And since wala ka naman access dun sa account na yon, you are better off forgetting that particular account.

Honestly, hindi mo naman controlled yung ganyang problema kasi generational problem yan. Hindi mo na basta basta matuturuan yung mga matatanda ng kung ano about tech and internet hygiene kasi hindi naman nila 'yon nakagawian nung kabataan nila saka mataas na yung learning curve sa paggamit pa lang mismo ng phone let alone desktop/laptop/tablet.

Mas gugustuhin na lang nila manood ng filipino vloggers na walang substance or drama na puro pangagaliwa pero ayaw naman maghiwalay kaysa sa manood ng educational videos regarding tech in general.

If there is one thing you can do regarding this issue, yun yung willingness mo magturo sa mga malalapit mong relatives kapag tinanong ka nila how to this...or how to do that especially in terms of bitcoin or just technology in general. Hindi mo need solusyonan yung ganyan kalaking problema haha. Let them do their own diligence.

But, really, learning and knowing what you're going to talk about in the forum should be your top priority. You can't just talk about bitcoin if you don't know how to use an SPV client in the first place .

Aside from studying the technical aspects of bitcoin, people should also know when they want to respond to a post. Many people complain that they aren't getting merit despite having a substantial post, but if you look at their posting history, you'll notice that many of their posts were buried on the nth page of the megathread, making them unseeable.  .

Golden rule is: if you have nothing interesting to say, then simply do not make a post.

Wag mo kalimutan na may mga free raffle din sa collectible section. Nakailan na ata akong panalo kaya medyo marami na rin yung physical bitcoin and stickers galing sa iba't-ibang brand LOL

And of course, pati yung mga art contest and service advertising dito sa forum. I would say na kung wala yon, di ako makatapos ng pag-aaral sa college within 4 years due to financial constraints.

Wala naman kaso diyan. Ang concern ko lang diyan kung magkakaroon ba ng traffic since meron namang reddit and discord.

I was wondering if you have some advice that you could share to bitcointalk members especially to those people at their early 20's. It could be related to bitcoin, investing, health, career or anything that comes to your mind that you deemed extremely beneficial in the long run.

Yep, according to blackrock, they claimed that they have a partnership to coinbase that is responsible for their bitcoin custody. And yes that they are basically tracking bitcoin prices!

You need to understand what the spot BTC ETF is. Consider a bitcoin ETF as an alternative way to purchase bitcoin without storing it in a hot or cold wallet; yet, it still has the potential to make or break your finances depending on the volatility of the bitcoin price. Like the gold ETF, you have a digital record that permits you to claim on a fund backed by physical gold but you actually does not own any gold.

Back to the question of why there is a need for a spot BTC ETF?
So the question why not invest in bitcoin in the first place? One  reason I can think of is the hassle and availability to almost everyone.
- As an avid Bitcoin holder, buying and storing a fraction of cryptocurrency during my early days in crypto was quite cumbersome. You need to register in a centralized exchange, you need to know the technicalities of what bitcoin wallets are and how to protect them, the nitty gritty on how to save some fees during transactions or any other hassle that a newbie needs to go through to have their own piece of the pie.

Now with spot BTC ETF, you can have your bitcoin without worrying about all the hassle I mentioned above. You can just buy or sell them like a traditional stock. With the current issue by BlackRock, I am not sure how thing pans out, but Bitcoin ETF could be available to traditional brokerages like Fidelity or Ameritrade.

It really depends, but the most common example is when a newbie actually participate on technical discussion threads either by helping other members solve some sort of technical issue. It could also be their writing skills that explain a theoretical concept in layman's terms. Or maybe they build bitcoin projects that solves realistic problems experienced by the community, it could be simple building a bitcoin node, or bitcoin web application.

You can also look at the posting history of accounts that have been nominated for the "Discovery of the Year" award in the Bitcointalk community awards. These accounts are typically nominated for their genuine interest in learning about Bitcoin and their contributions to the bitcoin community from the get-go until now!!
