I would say the biggest challenge is physical security. I've read the horror stories of people being tortured for their bitcoin. There are people in the world will kill for a few dollars, no matter how good your computer security is you are always vulnerable. Nobody knows that you have bitcoin if you don't tell people you own bitcoin. Bitcoin is semi-anonymous and their users should stay that way as well. Only your circle of trust should know what you are doing and nobody else. Well if you want to sell any significant amount of bitcoin you are pretty much forced to give you perosnal info to an exchange. These exchanges are run by humans and all it takes is one bad employee or a data hack and your information is out there. It must be a constant worry of crypto celebrities like Roger Ver, Vitalik, John Mcafee. I'm sure they are worried about being kidnapped and torture for their coins.

For fun lets throw around bitcoin stereotypes that people tend to say:
Bitcoiners are: -athiests -libertarians -pro guns -males
add some more that you have heard and lets keep this fun

That is so true about churches, the ones around my area hold bingo nights and raffles. So much for being against gambling. Churches and religious figures have always been hypocrites for the most part so this doesn't surprise me. "I'm not superstitious but I'm a little stitious"- Michael Scott

Ripple has always been a scam and it shouldn't even be listed on coin tracking websites. It is not even a crypto currency!!! It is just a centralized spreadsheet but newbies continue to buy it.

I've played around in shitcoins and it can be a very exciting and depressing experience. To see coins go 100x that were once dead is quite amazing but if you play around in this minefield you have to be ready to dump quickly. Its not really a morally upright thing to do because you are dumping your bags on someone's head.

Its obvious that Warren Buffet stands to lose a lot if bitcoin really does succeed as a global currency, a lot of his holdings are in banks.
He has never been one to invest in technology either, he mainly focuses on insurance companies, fast food, manufacturing, etc. He is the first one to tell you that he won't invest in a field he doesn't understand.

maybe Satoshi is a great organization made up of wealthy people in different parts of the world, A private organization and every move they make is calculated by their Boss. so far until today we have not found out who Satoshi really is, I think that's a mystery that's just not enough to solve for a few years. even the best scouts will not find satoshi until now, because in reality He Doesn't really exist.
haha that an interesting theory, I've heard some crazy ones myself. One is bitcoin was created by the USA government in order to test out a global currency. But the craziest one is Satoshi is an A.I. robot that designed bitcoin to gain financial dominance and take over the world.

Shilling for casinos, encouraging people to gamble away their savings. SCUMBAGS.
Demented boy. Welcome to the real world where people are actually responsible for their actions and no one's going to save anyone from the consequences. No one dragged gambling addicts into casinos, no one shoved a Big Mac down a landwhale's throat. It's their choice if they'll let their vices go out of hand. I still think its unfair to blame everything on the victim/addict. Why attack the crackhead when it wouldn't even be an issue if there was no supply coming in. I know a lot of bitcoiners fear government intervention and regulations but there comes a point where people are just being abused.

I don't think age matters much, you know what you are, thats what I believe.
You will probably cause more trauma to the child by forcing him to be something that he/she is not.

people just do not understand a mining investment... it is always all about quick cash, if quick cash does not work, they say the business is not worth... the investment can't just be considered in very short periods... power costs must be accounted on your investment from the start, being the energy bills, or renewable energy source Hashrate is still here, and rising in most cases, so the famous ones who closed shop are the small and unprepared ... just imagine if you mine and accumulate... you could get to be a bit more independent from the markets People from first world countries are being phased out of mining while people in Venezuela will happily mine for a few dollars per day. Difficulty has not really been correlating with the price much either. There are a lot of determined farms that will continue to mine even if profit is zero just to breakdown their competition.

2020 will be the year of bitcoin again. don't get fooled by this hike and wait for the pump in 2020
Well if you wait that long to buy you will miss a lot of potential profit. You can be greedy by waiting to sell and you can also do the same by trying to buy in at a cheaper price. The people that have been waiting to buy when bitcoin was at 3k can still buy in cheap but not for much longer.

The main issue is all the new users that come here without an account and don't see any red trust. Can someone explain why trust doesn't show up to someone that is not logged in?

People don't trust easily when it comes to donation specially online. We don't really know what would happen next when we give some funds,Would it really be sent to those who needs it or just going to be put in a scammer's pocket?
I believe it is the opposite. There have been numerous gofundme campaigns that are fake and have reached their goals. If you make people sad or angry they are quick to donate money. Charity is a huge business, people want to be trusting in general.

If everyone be free happy share n fair. There is no need for rich n poor.
Hey everyone deserves to be happy but you can’t blame people if they wish to earn money, we live in a materialistic world where we need money to survive. I feel one can always make good use of money by doing charities, or bringing stray dogs home and nurture them like I do. Also the argument for rich and poor is not fair as there’re so many rich guys who once were poor by money, but were rich with determination and they became rich e.g. read the book Rich dad vs Poor Dad. Its just that people go overboard and hoard to the extremes. I really don't think anyone should be worth billions of dollars. No one works that much harder and the profit they gain is really just unpaid labor. Wealth inequality is growing larger each day while people can barely even scrap by. Its even in the billionaire's favor to level the playing field or society will get out of hand.

i think not he, them.and i also think they are still around us even here bitcointalk.and im glad they created bitcoin but im so tired of hearing satoshi.isnt it enough to talk about it?
I bet Satoshi still visits this forum , he may even be posting from an alt account. Don't forget that he is sitting on a stash of about 1 million bitcoins (including all the forked coins) that is over $5billion at current prices.

We should not holding smerit, it have no usage really. It will be gone eventually if we not give it to others. Lets be fair and give smerit to peoples who create awesome information in this forum. Bitcointalk forum will keep developing if the peoples always create a useful threads and posts.
A lot of the lower ranked members get overlooked when giving out merit especially if they post in the altcoin sections where not many merit sources hang out.

I'm tired of playing with the altcoin bounty at the moment. Too many scams and broken promises in altcoin bounties. Yes, not all of them are, but it is more like gambling than simple due diligence.
Nice of you connecting, The bear market is a major contributor to the rate at which bounty campaign are scamming their promoters in regard to paying them cents although we still have good ones out there. Just as we have trustworthy bitcoin paid signature managers I'm positive we have or will soon have trustworthy altcoin bounty signature campaign manager too. Just need to carry-out some more research but no doubt bitcoin Paid signature are the best. Same thing goes everyday in the real world. Used to work in contracting and the amount of clients that suddenly don't want to pay when the job is done and you have to jump through hoops just to get your money. Altcoin bounties are risky but the chances of becoming insanely rich are much higher than joining bitcoin campaigns. Ripple was once handed out for free just by providing an e-mail and now it is a top 3 crypto.

$6k -> $12k -> $24k -> $50k -> and beyond
Only need 8 more doublings until we reach Mcafee's $1 million bitcoin. I do believe we will hit 6k within a couple of weeks at the latest. The bears have gone into hibernation and the bulls are ready to run free.

By the way stop losses don't always work as you intend. If there is a major crash your order may not be executed so keep that in mind.
I never use stop losses myself, whales go around trying to dip the markets to pick up stop loss orders. Just buy and hold.
