461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There is always a chance on: March 23, 2019, 10:18:31 AM
I do not think there is any fun in buying a lottery ticket. But lottery should be bought knowing that there will be very less chances of winning. If you take part in lottery hoping you will win, then it may disappoint you if you have high hopes from it and you are not able to win.
I think there is absolutely no fun in such activity. Buying a ticket, is in a way very passive process. There is no actual gambling emotions involved. Most of people are doing it automatically, on their way to a grocery. Hope for the jackpot is still there, deep down we counting on our luck but consciously most of players know that they are throwing away money. That's why most of the lottery players are not even recognise it as gambling, more like a taxation of dreams Smiley

-quantum resistant
Can anybody explain the meaning of this?
It means that the algorithm is prepared with quantum computing in mind.
Basically high capability ''CPU'' using brut-force won't be able to crack this coin's security.  At least that's the premise, in theory.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you still hodling that shitcoin? on: March 22, 2019, 12:25:07 PM
I Think we are in the same situation where when i open my wallet, i could see almost all of my tokens which has no value at all, last year it has a value but now, it became 0.00, i dont know what to do in it, maybe i just hold it, its gonna be nonsense if im gonna sell it by peer to peer without a value.
Same situation here, few tokens without actual value, I'm not selling those because transfer would cost more than I could recover from selling... shit tokens without a doubt. However there is a way for making at least few bucks on them. We could always sell an entire wallet, filled with useless coins, the private keys I mean. There may be some sort of a collector or rather market for such wallets, who knows? I saw few offers for buying empty btc wallets up, so maybe similar affinity for eth tokens will appear in the future?
464  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you need cash for everyday use? on: March 22, 2019, 11:00:43 AM
It's technically possible to give cash money up, possible to throw it in to the dumpster of history.
I think it is a wet dream of the biggest banks in the world. We can see how cashless society model is being promoted in the mainstream media. This means we as a society, have achieved sufficient technology to implement such model. Question is do we really like to do it?
Or should we do it? Premise is as always, security and ease of use but the other side of this coin is far more important. The control over regular, physical money would be, in fact lost. People would no longer have anything to say when it comes to money creation.
For quite some time, it is no longer necessary to have cash in my country in order to survive. Most of the shops have very small limits for using plastic, limits so small that it safe to assume they are non existent. System is ready to be cashless, it is pushing itself on us. IMO we should be in opposition for our own sake.

466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should we call it a trend or a wave? Or something else? on: March 21, 2019, 04:46:23 PM
What do you mean by normal state? Bitcoin is very unstable so I don't understand what normal state is.
How can you call current state of the market unstable? It was never more stable then today.
For some time I was thinking that this is actually very good, lots of positive aspects of such stagnation.
As to topic in question, why not both? Trends that fallow the wave patterns, sort of like wave–particle duality in physics.

Maybe today the supply is not that good, but either way we are expecting a big increase in 2020 specially when bitcoin halving occurs.
You meant that the demand is not so great, the worst supply gets the more scarce something becomes and as a result more expensive. Obviously under one condition, that there is demand for it.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where we are now with Gambling on: March 20, 2019, 09:56:13 AM
On the contrary, traditional gambling is still popular among the old gamblers. After 28 years in traditional gambling one would be suspicious of i been addicted to the traditional method of gambling but not. Although play with the real guys in the industry in person makes me feel better compare to the digital play, maybe because i was born in the 70s.
Not only old gamblers prefer the real experience. There is a big difference between both gambling methods.
Old school casinos will remain active for many years to come, it just the atmosphere that make it unique.
Classic industry will keep changing, that's for sure. More electronic machines, more video games, maybe even blockchain will be introduced to stationary gamble houses? People like the innovations and interactive smart-software, I have no doubt it will merge more with big casinos. Although atmosphere of celebration, high-life and glamour is really hard to obtain online, that's why online gambling has to make this next step, which is VR.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now or never! on: March 20, 2019, 07:46:08 AM
"now or never" said someone a year ago  Roll Eyes
Kinda long this "now" is, I'm sure anyone can agree on that. Nevertheless this was very stable period on the market and many subjects took some advantage of this stabilisation. I think its a good thing we are facing market stagnation in the prices department.
Quite a few, new businesses emerged thanks to this, that's why I think recovery times are a little closer today then it was a year ago.
Every cloud has a silver lining.

I think ghost of gox past is still haunting bitcoin market.
Maybe somebody can prove me wrong but it might be, that gox trustee is still sitting on some significant amount of bitcoins.
It is said they still accept claims from people, so maybe this resistance at 4K is the "fault" of the syndic constantly selling, bit by bit to prevent strong crash? I can't find any good information on the subject, it's just me speculating.

471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Half With Most Goals on: March 19, 2019, 09:04:32 AM
I guess that you have to analyze the game of every team and not just using a betting pattern for several matches.I usually bet on teams that I'm familiar with. How did you pick those matches?I guess that you made your choice based solely on the odds.
I wouldn't call this a "betting strategy"(there's no such thing as a betting strategy).Success in footaball sports betting depends on how good your are at analysing football teams.
Wait a minute, so doing an actual research, stats checking, performance and physical condition analysis is what you are advocating here? Otherworldly, doing some job? Don't be ridiculous, who needs that? We are sport gamblers and we need money, we need it quick and painless, so stop with your scientific approach ok?  Roll Eyes
This only seem like there are methods to follow but in reality nothing beats good old facts checking. Shortcuts do work but only on the keyboard. Besides at the end of the day, its still the blind luck that decides about the outcome, yet educated guesses are 46 times better than those made through blind try.

472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without Hardfork, what is the true value of Bitcoin now? on: March 18, 2019, 04:19:03 PM
the true value of bitcoin is always what someone is willing to give you for it, in the future you can expect big issues to that, because the US dollar will become a questionable global currency.
That's basically it. Bitcoin value is adequately represented by it's market value. No less no more, just that what people are paying for it.
What's actually funny, is that crypto is the last free market driven items in this forsaken world. The moment it gets regulated by the governments, price will start to go all over the place. From sinks to sky high and the other way around in a matter of minutes.
That's why we should govern it's freedom as it governs ours.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's your favorite to win this year's Champions League ? on: March 18, 2019, 10:39:45 AM
Juventus is a very strong team but the problem is Ronaldo -snip-
I have very similar opinion, the strongest point of the team is simultaneously the weakest link. Quite paradoxical however this man is as professional footballer as it gets, the machine, goals generator, having him is like playing with cheats Smiley and yet this is still a team sport. One, two or more great players guaranties nothing as the whole team have to be harmonized as one.
I think that eight months should be enough for the them to achieve such harmony and get to know each other pretty well, so I have also gave my vote for Juv.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: March 18, 2019, 09:13:54 AM
One have to answer what kind of success he is after. We have seen quite a lot of popular or successful gamblers, that where recognised as exceptional poker players. They have found their success, not in form of big wins but rather as popularity and fame.
Being a gambling celebrity can of course bring interesting contracts with the industry, in advertisement, television etc.
So yes,  one can find success in gambling but this, just like the games themself is based on luck as well as connections, looks, background etc.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cryptocurrency banks needed. on: March 17, 2019, 08:42:25 AM
This is the same with cryptocurrency. If something happens to the owner then funds should be left to loved ones not loss forever or sameone find to spend.
Why not making somebody close to your heart, aware of crypto-ways? Teach somebody how it works, where, when and why to use it. Tell the tale and enlighten your kinds or wife, maybe parents etc. If you scared they will spend all irresponsibly then simply create a puzzle that governs the password and hide it somewhere. Just like the map to the treasure. Nothing really changed.

So far your poll says it all, five against null in favour of "don't need". That also was my vote.
You see the case is how banks handle the deposits. I'm more than sure, they will at some point issue the IOU notes.
Basically making fiats of crypto once again, just like it was with the gold and all other precious stuffs.

Hey this is surreal that freebitco is planning to give away a Lamborghini or a Ferrari

Don't get your hopes to high  Roll Eyes
It's doubtful they could afford such massive prize although it would be awesome to be proven wrong here.
This got me thinking, how the taxation problem would look like in case of such big, physical prize?
Who would cover the shipping cost and duty? I'm guessing it would have to be the winner, in case of car as expensive as avantador those would require me, for example, to take a bank loan...  Undecided with big winnings, comes great responsibility.
Nevertheless I'm waiting impatiently on how this announcement unfolds.
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Psychological Technique - Play without Pressure on: March 16, 2019, 10:57:23 AM
This is nice and helpful information. I wonder why these names are used though.
There part about bet with 50/50 odd of winning interest me the most. Does this mean the chance of winning  is high with such odd? Are there available gambling sites offering this 50/50 odd?
Sure there are sites like that, most of the dice games let you to set your desired win ratio.
Obviously the amount you can win with such chances are considerably lower, usually below x1.8.
Probably recommanded or rather suited better for bigger bets once in a while but definitely also fun.

As to this technique in subject, I think there is nothing better than just that. Relax and have fun, putting stress on your winnings have the potential to trigger compulsive betting and can lead to increase in losses. I like how it is considered a technique, not a strategy.
Very important to realise this simple fact, there are no methods to win big however there is a strategy to loose less.

I think we have a serious lack of communication
No, I think we are literally on the same page here.
this was organized.
Sure it was, as of current knowledge it was prepared by this guy. He planned it himself and executed. Nothing spectacular and impossible for one man, brevik (small letter intentional) also worked alone and was far more sophisticated and sinister with it.
My words about fruit was an allegory
So as mine. But I got a feeling you missed the point. I meant that your speculative words have the potential for fuelling the fire.
Ignition of imagination and conspiracy will only attract the crowd, more hate will follow.
I'm also pro gun however bullets solve nothing, kisses do.
480  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Zealand ChristChurch mass shootings >:( >:( on: March 15, 2019, 10:25:17 PM
How exactly do you stop such events from happening in the future
Who said we need to stop this madness? We can see that the more we try, the more it's straightening itself.
The only solution is as horrible and terrifying as the discussed event, the NWO... rule of the state not the rule of the jungle?
Take away all freedoms, all rights, all possession, make people exist only for the state, eradicate them of all emotions and reflections with some drug and voila. Prison planet. Do we want this? I say no. Maybe just maybe it's time to give humanity back to human?
We need freedom not less of it, otherwise those events will continue because people are getting scared.
what truly motivated them
I know what it was, it's the fear. Scare fuelled by hatred and lacking of appreciation for human life.
This was ORGANIZED
Now that's just speculation, just think about it, you are blaming this on some special forces and simultaneously you take away the blame. Besides it is to early to judge, his lousy manifesto stated he is not an agent, that this is self organised and no third party is entangled, maybe except some religious order of self-proclaimed neo-templars. Such voices do more harm than good. No conspiracy is needed there, where "simple" emotions and dread suffice. Let's stay calm and wait how it will unfold.
You judge a man by the fruits of his labor, and when every single fruit on the tree is rotten, you need to start asking questions, because that is not organic.
You are exaggerating a little, last I checked 98% of all fruits are perfectly fine, browned and look delicious. Don't get this grim rhetoric poison your orchard. We are better than this, capable of beautiful deeds and sacrifices... maybe this was what was missing that day in NZ?
