I agree that ICOs are creating hype which turn into bubble, and it is just matter of time when it will burst. But I can not agree that ICOs are scam... not all of the at least. There are those which are promising, and thet could turn into great crypto. But sadly there are so many of them and people do not know which to trust, which is real and which is fake, so many choices. But we all know what is bitcoin, and with that difference between bitcoin and ICOs.

Everyone in here is desperate to convince each other the Bitcoin can only go up and therefore you have to buy and hold.
But when you buy Bitcoin, someone is selling it to you.
Why are people selling Bitcoin?
The knowledgeable people are the ones who are now slowly selling out before the bubble bursts. When you are now buying more and more Bitcoin ("investing" as people in here call it) who do you think you are buying them from?
You are buying from the knowledgeable people who are slowly getting rid of their Bitcoin.
What your saying could be right, there are those who think that getting rid of bitcoin in small amounts are good, at high price of course. But I think there are people who sell their earned or bought bitcoins because they are in need of money. Me for example are in that group of people. I sell my bitcoins when I'm in need of money, and when I need something done. I guess there are more people like me who sell their bitcoins because of need of money. It could be simple as that too. |

I can not confirm what you have read, but I know that mining require a lot of electricity. Some of that power goes to transactions as far as i know. But from what I have read here in your topic, those numbers are insane, and I don't believe that. I think that is only bad propaganda to lower support toward bitcoin. But because I can not confirm with solid evidence, that leaves it to only my opinion. But still 200kWh for one transaction... its too much.

Like the title says what do you guys think ? Will there be a correction or profit taking at 10000$ ? I think it will happen but the question is how much the market will fall ? 9K,8K,7k ? Will you guys take the advantage of this fall to sell high and buy some btc at low price or just continue to hodl ? Your thoughts  From time to time there are always some correction of price, and I think that is necessary because price is rising so high. You think it will happen around 10,000$... well i guess that is possible yes. If it happens in that moment, I do not think it will go under 9000$. Correction of 1000$ is a lot, to some people it doesn't seam much, but it is. And as far as trading is concerned, I don't know what I'm going to do. Probably what you suggested, but we will see. Long time till 10000$  . |

It is an interesting idea, to think that someone would give you 1 bitcoin. But I guess acidents could happen. As far as spending or keeping it is concerned I would do the next. Part of it I would transfer to fiat currency and use it for things that I need to do on my house. And part of it I would keep for further rising of price and try to earn even more by holding.

I don't think I would be capable to do what you did, that is big leap of faith. But that doesn't mean that you have made a mistake. I also believe that bitcoin will continue to grow, maybe not as fast as so far, but it will grow that is for sure. I am not able to do what you did, but I have start sving as much bitcoin as I can. I agree, although the Bitcoin is a bit pricy at the moment, until your childer will grow up there is enough time to see that it's actually a very good moment to buy. Yes , at the moment price could look like its too high for buying. But if we look a bit back we will see that there was a lot of situations like this, and price has always went even more higher. So its just like you said, this would be good moment for buying bitcoin. We can only imagine how much will it be worth in the future. So buy now and make your children a bit richer in the future. |

Yes it's hard to happen the situation that Bitcoin replaces fiats or fiats replace Bitcoin. Becasue each one have their own missions that others can't complete good.
But I don't think like that. I thought bitcoin will replace the entire FIAT system. After couple of years,you will use the bitcoin in the shop itself. That much popularity bitcoin will get. It could happen that bitcoin replace fiat one day. I think we can all agree that future of money is some kind of electronic currency. Bitcoin has brought something new in world of currencies, and it changed some things forever. But will bitcoin replace fiat, or will it become worlds currency... I don't think so. There are a lot of things that needs to be worked out before bitcoin becomes usable world wide. And that is first step toward bitcoin becoming even greater. |

If the miners decide to switch to another altcoin you cannot sell any of your coins - no matter which coin it is, even Bitcoin. If they reduce their efforts prices to transfer becomes extremely high. If you have a lot of your money in cryptocurrencies, the miners will become your new slave masters
I understand what your trying to say, and part of it is truth and i agree with it. But you are wrong in one thing, if miners didn't have profit from it they would not mine it, as long as there is profit in mining, miners will mine. Probability of miners leaving profitable coin just because... i can't even come up with an idea why they would leave profitable coin. At the end i think we can agree that, for even like miners leaving bitcoin is near impossible. |

From what I know, theres no way to bypass those security things. Because they are what keeps your bitcoins from other people. It is nice what you want to do, maybe I'll do the same in the future. I guess that best way to store your bitcoins would be on offline wallet, on hard drive which you can put into bank on safe keeping. And security codes you can do something as same, or you can give it to lawyer or some other person of trust.

Yes, it was scary how fast bitcoins price recovered after such down fall. But I must say that I am glad to see price up and running, again . At the moment price of bitcoin on preev is around 7750 dollars, and that is really near 8000. As you said it will not be long before it reach 8000 dollars worth. I also agree that it is possible for bitcoin price to reach 10000$, but not in this year. It would be too much, more acceptable would be somewhere around January or February next year. |

I would say that every moment is good moment for buying bitcoin, because price can only rise in time. But if you don't like that way of thinking than I think you missed the best opportunity. After announcement of canceling price of bitcoin fall fast, I didn't expect it to fall that quickly. That was best moment to buy, because I doubt it will fall like that, not any time soon at least. So we come to a conclusion that best moment to buy bitcoin would be in time of panic sale or when some bad news are announced.

Trading business is not easy, if it was we all would be doing it. But if it was not profitable people would not do it at all. Some people had made small fortune with trading, bitcoin or altcoin or both. But truth is that it is profitable, if you know what your doing. For people who are not prepared to be committed to trading, and learn, they are better off. I had to read this post several times before I could understand what I was reading, after looking in the forum I realized there is yet another fork coming in the form of bitcoin silver, this is getting ridiculous and out of control people need to stop forking bitcoin for their economic benefit, at this rate we are going to have 20 forks claiming each one to be the original, we will become nothing but the laughingstock of the investment world. I see your point of view, and I must say that I agree with you. Splitting bitcoin into so many "bitcoins" is bad thing, i do not see what those greedy people think. I didn't know that there will be yet another fork, but now I am not that much surprised. Bitcoin has grown a lot this year, and I guess that with that comes greedy people. No, no one can destroy bitcoins. Because bitcoins is highly secured cryptocurrency.
Nothing on this earth is indestructible. There are many things that can affect bitcoin and its lifetime. But even if those things are nearly impossible, it doesn't mean they are impossible. Massive ban of bitcoin could happen, but it's less likely. Also tough regulations of bitcoin could also have bad impact on it. I just want to say that bitcoin will die one day, let just hope it will not happen soon. |

Why not ? I hear the rumor that segwit2x fork is canceled is just a lie, and segwit will continue so I think bitcoin price will rise to $ 8000 easily this month or next month  SegWit2x is not something that could be implemented without people knowing it. Miners was against SegWit2x and they are ones who are most informed about everything there is to know about bitcoin. So I don't think that SegWit2x will be implemented secretly. But I agree that bitcoin could reach price of 8000 dollars easily. Also, I think we'll see that very soon. |

You could make more if you're investing during the panic and monitor cryptoworld news.
Of course that those moments are best time to invest in bitcoin. In moments like that price is lowered a lot, and probably lowest that can be in that period of time. So far bitcoin has always going up in worth, and from what i can see it will continue to do so. Because of that, moments when price is staying still or ever rarer when is going down a lot, are best moments to invest in bitcoin. I can say only one thing, think carefully and take your chances. |

I would recommend to buy. Price has fluctuate a lot last few days, but now it is back on track. So far bitcoin's price was always going up. In time price will be even higher, and who knows when will it stop. Therefor,from what I said, you can see why I think it is good time to buy. Also I can say that I speak for experience, because I was in similar situation few time, I made a mistake and didn't bought.

Well I guess that trading is maybe best way of earning bitcoins, but as you know it is not easy. There are a lot of things that person needs to know to be possible to earn money that way. For you I would recommend joining some signature campaign. It is easy enough, and if you find good campaign you will earn some extra bitcoins.

First we must understand that there is different understanding of being rich. For some its money, for some its family, and for some its love. But we will speak of money rich now. From my point of view, I would consider myself rich when I would have enough money to provide everything that is considered a normal life things. For me being too rich is not so interesting, and I would not want it.
