461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is parlay an effective betting strategy? on: July 19, 2019, 04:07:24 PM
I prefer single bets over a parlay because most of the time am always off by one or two games which means am better off with singles.

And as far as I know placing single bets off that bet slip would live anyone in the green unlike going with parlays which could leave you with nothing.
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH worth investing? on: July 19, 2019, 02:45:38 PM
It's up about 18% now and trading at $523, according to coin360.
What influences this pump?
Most altcoins ride on the success of bitcoin and BCH isn't any different...other influences depend on what's breaking in the news and latest developments in terms of regulation.

BCH worth investing
Others will tell you it won't, others will say it is worth investing in and will make you money...but honestly it's all about risk taking and trying your luck. Go with your gut feeling with what will make you some money.

463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does hard work in gambling count? on: July 19, 2019, 11:46:41 AM
Hardwork in coming up with a strategy or working formula or even managing a bankroll I think this counts as hardwork Roll Eyes so yes

but just making a few clicks and guesses without breaking a sweat...I don't think we can call this hardwork!

Am just hoping we don't have to call a fifth grader to define hardwork.

464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup Of Nations 2019 - Discussion Thread on: July 18, 2019, 09:07:57 PM
i think that Senegal will take the title people here in Algeria are preparing for the title if the players think like this they will lose the game
The Senegalese might be the favourite to win this edition of the African cup but Algeria have the last say about this...which gives it's people all the rights to prepare for the celebration party and fyi from the last games I have seen them play, I think their confidence has grown...the likes of Mahrez have stepped up their game and maybe on the game day the Algerians might deliver.
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 18, 2019, 08:08:50 PM
now De Ligt has officially become a Juventus player and this will make the Juventus defense be very strong, I'm sure Juventus will be impressive this season in the Italian league or European competition.
I was going to say De light won't make it or should I say won't have it easy in Italy, but after watching some video clips of what his about, am convinced his the next generation the old lady has and with the front looking airtight with start players like Ronaldo another trophy could be on their cards.

466  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 Choose your lucky number 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: July 18, 2019, 01:46:16 PM
Meanwhile WD is approaching 100 million bets milestone, and they have decided to run a great giveaway to celebrate it.

bets after 100.000.000 and before 100.500.00 are accepted only

94.5 million bets have made already. Hope I won't miss it. Smiley
As expected, they have to celebrate this milestone. Currently we're now on 95 million bets and I think it will take few more days before it reaches 100 million bets.

I'll look out for this and hoping to get in the between.

As we approach this milestone is there anything we need to be expecting?

Is there a contest planned for this or just another one of those milestones...

Noticed the jackpot pool has dropped as well what's the formula for calculating your cut when you win it Smiley

But did you have to bump an eight month old thread for this??? You know you can start your own thread right....and those users mentioned are doing a tremendous job for themselves around the forum but without doubt am certain they know the procedure to follow when they are interested in becoming a merit source.

Can we have them nominated for Merit source?
Nominate? Sounding like a government man right about now, merit sources are not nominated here, they apply for the job! Want to know more about this follow the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0 YOU ARE WELCOME.
468  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How LBC blocked my 5000$ without any reasons on: July 17, 2019, 04:09:29 PM
How the hell that hermanproudfoot account and Peppapig is the same? Just looking on the profile of those 2 where on is being created 2 weeks ago and that Peppapig was created 3 years ago.LBC support response isnt really that convincing on my part which they havent clarified and using up privacy as an alibi.A very hard situation and also local authorities cant help out on this one.
We might not connect the dots based on the information provided by  the OP but fyi LBC has access to all this information which includes ids, IP addresses that might have been used to make the connection.
And AFAIK  opening a new account does not whitelist anyone from any past infringement and seeing the reason for this unfortunate situation I don't know how this will go but you deserve the benefit of the doubt,Good luck OP.

469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto industry manipulated? How bad is it? on: July 17, 2019, 09:24:39 AM
This industry is not monitored by any government or institutions so big exchanges or players can manipulate the market or volume for a short time but I don't think they can do it for a longer period of time.
This is a recipe for disaster...why am saying this is because when these manipulations happen, usually what follows is someone is going to be cashing in after all this and in the process crashing the price temporary and cycle goes on making them money over and over again regardless of how low or high the  price is.

Nice piece of information and as far as I know politician's are equally playing their part in making people's lives difficult because of selfishness which has seen corruption on the raise, riots by people showing how unhappy they are by most of these things, immigration in an effort to find a better life elsewhere etc and if things are to change accountability and transparency should be at the core of how we run our daily business.

472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Beware Of Scambots on: July 16, 2019, 04:17:26 PM
The problem is that people come to cryptocurrency not for the tech, or for investment diversification, but to make easy and quick money.

There is no easy quick money in this world. Even for BTC holders since 5+ years ago it was hard. Even for me, holding for 2 years, it was hard.

Then those easy quick money newbies come and buy shitcoins, look for giveaways, airdrops, whatever, which are  mostly scams.
I agree with you, and just like you have said this mindset of trying to get or make some quick money this makes the scammers job easy because we like shiny things and fall prey these giveaways, airdrops, discounted giftcards etc.
We urgently need a change of mindset if we want to put an end to all this.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trump's statement against cryptocurrency on: July 16, 2019, 03:46:57 PM
How the crypto market will react now? President Trump's statement against bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Trump for the first time come out openly against cryptocurrency. The US is one of the countries having a large share of cryptocurrency market. What will be future implication following Trump coming down heavily on cryptocurrency?
Am sure this is all because the Libra wasn't registered in the US and the crypto is operating in a market with so much crypto influence.

If this isn't the reason might be that they are afraid it could challenge the dollar and destabilize it's value so this is all in an effort to save what has remained.

Maybe the US government has trust issues with facebook and are trying to make sure it doesn't repeat itself.
474  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-12] Japanese Exchange Hacked for $32 Million in Cryptocurrency on: July 16, 2019, 11:27:15 AM
The exchange reiterates its belief that the breach occurred due to unauthorized access to the private keys of its hot wallets, and that it now plans to move all holdings into cold storage.
Cheap is indeed expensive and It's too late to act now.
So these guys have known that cold wallets are way more safer than whatever options they have but still went on with hot wallets knowing very well that such wallets are easy targets.

Now a lumpsome has been lost when a few dollars worth of cold wallets would have saved them all this inconvenience or am being short sighted this could have been an inside job and they are trying to save themselves the embarrassment by selling us such a story, because by now we should have learnt from other people's mistakes who have gone through this before.

Quote
It confirms that no breach of its cold wallets has been detected, but states that it continues to monitor the situation and is also suspending all services until more comprehensive security measures have been undertaken and the firm has completed its tracking of the stolen funds.
Now they want to play detective by following the money trail, SMH.

475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now it's an all out war : Government Vs cryptocurrencies on: July 16, 2019, 08:17:43 AM
-snip-

I think it's an all out war right now
Government Vs Bitcoins.

Except for the countries who support Bitcoins.
Sounds more like "Government Vs cryptocurrencies" and not bitcoin alone.

I think at this point all it takes to call off this attack is to have some type of regulation for cryptocurrencies, I know it's a decentralized ecosystem which has proven itself to work but you know there is that group of people standing on the sidelines(the law abiding type that goes by the book, possibly institutional investors) waiting to join in but these indirect threats won't allow them.

And the only way these people are playing it smart is by staying away, crypto doesn't work or need this....more people more valuable it gets.

And AFAIK since most countries are governed in the lines of democracy, that makes the government us the people so we can fine tune these regulations.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: July 15, 2019, 03:56:17 PM
Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.

Checking all my wallet those coming from ICO bounty I've participated I can shout that ICOs are dead, some paused their ICo for lack of investors, some faked their sales to attract investors and most of them failed to create their platform for lack of support, so what can we expect more.
This is pretty much a fact, ICOs are dead!

  • 1st few deliver on getting listed on an exchange which is paramount for most of us
  • IEO unlike ICOs are investing less in marketing so more money for the project
  • IEOs haven't been invaded by scammers yet, in terms of tEam and everything so this is an exit sign for ICOs
  • between IEOs and ICOs it seems ICOs are struggling to reach their sales targets which is another sign to show these are dead and the future is now IEO

As much as I would say ICOs are dead, IEOs are just an organised version of ICOs so there isn't much of a difference between the two.

The feedback that I am reading here are really positive ones. So the dev team is really doing good in promoting as well as handling their dice site. Seems that they already established their position in the market of online dice site. However, they should work on their number of online users? At least maintain 500 online users... Wink
Ya, they manage to keep up promotions and are constantly lurking new betters to their site, but there arent that many features that would keep people being constantly online despite the chat. Maybe they have something in the pipeline like games which require you to be online for a certain amount of time. I took part in such a game a while back where you had to constantly solve riddles for a treasury hunt. Was very fun and a lot of people took part in the game.
"They aren't many features" Huh
I honestly think they have put in quite a good number of marketing strategies to increase the number of dice players on their platform, for starters some of the features I see is:
  • they have Windicer forum giveaways, which requires players to play dice
  • chat giveaways and never ending raindrops
  • signature campaigns here on BCT which is another marketing strategy to get brand out there
  • daily trivia

What more can be done???

Bitfinex 1 000 000 000
If Bitfinex was able to raise so much capital why are they not among the popular exchanges, because these numbers show liquidity is not a problem

Write in the comments about your experience of participating in IEOs and do you think they are safer than ICOs. In blockchain we trust!
Am yet to participate in my first IEO hopefully it will be a success.

Do I think they are safe? Well I think they are because the bridge the gap of having to wait for a token to be listed on an exchange which took so much time for this to happen and maybe less likely to be a scam as exchange might need to whitelist them before getting listed.

Senegal are my favourites to win the trophy. My guy Mane is slaying teams Smiley I think Senegal are the best team remaining although Nigeria have lots of good players too.
With the likes of Egypt who I had my money on out off this competition, it's now anybody's game but like your pick Senegal isn't a bad team and am now thinking this should have been the team I must have backed.

But football being played on the pitch and not speculation expect anything....
