481  Other / Archival / Re: Electrum sync timer? on: March 22, 2016, 07:47:13 AM
I've never had this issue before. the transactions updates very quickly. are you perhaps using a proxy?

No it's direct, is there any way to change the sync timer to be faster?

electrum syncs with the servers the moment it detects a new block from the server (and when you open electrum). so it should be instant and there's no way to change that.
issues with your internet connection and/or with the reachable servers are the only things that can cause slow sync.

ranochigo already provided the possible solutions. but try turning auto-connect on if you haven't tried that before.

can't you search for files in your PC? you can try searching for the stuff I and knightdk listed.
483  Other / Meta / Re: What is going on with all those "LISK threads" on: March 21, 2016, 04:41:50 PM
you can report them if you think they're breaking the rules. but honestly I don't think making separate threads are against the rules (as long as they're from different users).
484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Getting closer to Halving but .. no increase ? on: March 21, 2016, 04:35:20 PM
No, there isn't a rule saying that the price will increase... And we didn't go through the halving yet.

I know there isn't but as I said "logically" when you hear about the halving , you know that the price will increase and you start buying (and more demand = price increase) , this is how I see it .

logically the price would only increase after the demand increase and/or the supply decrease. an early increase because of not-yet-happened event are speculative.

487  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fastest dice site? on: March 21, 2016, 01:55:45 PM
primedice,i think primedice is the fastest bitcoin dice, its easy and fast to play there,of course minimum bet is 1 satoshi, but sometime i upset because fee transacation on primedice, they reduce from our amount, not take from our wallet.

PD is very slow with all bets and chat open. and they sometimes lag like hell. even autobetting with chat and all bets closed are not fast.

I guarantee you, with the autobot betting and responsive UI, Crypto-Games.Net is the fastest dice site you'll experience. Not only dice, but they do have fastest Lotto/Slots/BlacJack.See you on board. Smiley

this. while I suspect that patatas are biased I do agree that crypto-games is one of the fastest dice sites (not sure if it's the #1 though).

then what do you have to prove that you're the real owner of the account? if you don't have any proof of ownership then stake an address and come back 3 months later.

490  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LiliMarket is a scam, don't trade with him on: March 21, 2016, 12:44:37 PM
wrong section.

Aren't you the one who was asking paypal here?  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1404187.0
Btw I don't see any Lilimarket here in the forum.
Also paypal is reversible so if the guy really did scammed you , you can chargeback the payment you made. Another thing, this belongs to scam accusation not here in currency exchange section.

@OP
what made you trust a newbie on a paypal trade? fuck my eyes were closed there. you're the one using paypal. just chargeback, dude.

Do you have a lucky number?

9 and 0. why? because I roll at 99.00 a lot when I have some spare satoshis and I actually won once or twice.  Grin
492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: predict the date of the 2016 halving on: March 21, 2016, 12:05:10 PM
July 4 - July 10 according to my estimation and speculation.  Tongue
could be faster but most likely won't get slower.
493  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will the Block halving impact the bitcoin price? on: March 21, 2016, 11:44:36 AM
whales aren't really waiting for anything. it's the community here that is waiting for the price to sky rocket. whales will do their work once they think the time is right.

that's called waiting.

Oh, look ... a pattern.  Cheesy

10 USD to 56 USD ... that's the halving effect after 6 months.

so we might reach $2000 by the end of this year? hell yeah!!  Tongue
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [10 Days] On March 31, 2016 this community will take back control of... on: March 21, 2016, 11:22:56 AM
"(I’ve been working on bitcoin’s design) since 2007. At some point I became convinced there was a way to do this without any trust required at all and couldn’t resist to keep thinking about it." ~Satoshi

On March 31, 2016 this community will take back control of our beloved Bitcoin!
Let's get started:
How do we do it?  Grin

when did we ever have control of bitcoin?
495  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet on: March 20, 2016, 02:27:32 PM
sooooo apparently electrum 2.x.x generates 12-words seed AND 13-words seed. and looks like you only started using electrum in february so that means you used 2.5.4.
install version 2.5.4 (or any 2.x version should do) and restore it from there.
496  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet on: March 20, 2016, 01:02:10 PM
The problem is that in this version, I can't find my address anywhere?
It is like my code doens't work?
By receive there is no address.

looks like you didn't connect correctly. the a little ball icon beside the seed icon and it should be green if you're connected to the network. if it's already green but you still don't see any address, click the ball icon, uncheck "select server automatically", and try them one by one.
497  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet on: March 20, 2016, 12:26:20 PM
I got connected! But now the problem is, it says that my balance is 0 mbtc.... And that is not correct...

is it showing the right addresses and transactions? check any wrong addresses and transactions on block explorer and see if they match. if the block explorers shows your correct balance and transactions then you're fine and can just import the private keys to some other wallet.

also on upgrading electrum (if you want to try again): save the copy of your wallet and export your private keys(!), uninstall electrum, then try to install the latest version again (if you get a "permission" error message, run it as administrator) and open the saved copy of your wallet from there.
498  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet on: March 20, 2016, 11:44:37 AM
you can't upgrade? does it give you an error message when you try to install? also what's you OS? people are having issues installing on windows XP.
499  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet on: March 20, 2016, 10:54:58 AM
update to the latest version and try again. if that still doesn't work (it should work) then install electrum version 1.9.8 from here, restore your wallet, then update to the latest.
500  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan 0.5 BTC - BTC Mining on: March 20, 2016, 10:44:39 AM
Hi, my name is Piotrek. I'm from Poland. I'm interested in the BTC of the year. It's time for something more serious, it's time to practice. I ask for a loan, because I want to buy AntMiner S7.  This is an investment that will certainly pay for itself.  I also want to invest in Bitfinex.
I miss 0.5 BTC. I'm going to give the required amount to max two weeks. The amount of reimbursement: 0.7 BTC.

I offer any kind of protection. I verified on BTCjam (bank account, bank statements, address, phone number, work, ID card).
The loan'm going to come back faster than I declared. Thank you in advance!

If you have questions, please contact me.

in that case I suggests that you try to get a loan on BTCjam. you won't get a loan here with only your ID and other info. we need collateral.
