481  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Fuck You BFL on: May 21, 2013, 09:39:10 PM

I also hope BFL delivers. Partly because I have a Jalapeno on order, but mostly just to shut up the pathetic nay-sayers in here once and for all.

Actually Amy looks doable.

"Doable" ... indeed. That's what escorts usually are  Wink

"Her real name is Amanda Patricia Bossingham! The court ordered her to pay $36,294.95 in restitution. Ms. Bossingham pled guilty to submitting an application for a line of credit with M & I Bank using the social security number of another person. The Bank approved the line of credit in the amount of $15,000. On June 15, 2004, the Court sentenced her to fourteen months prison. She was just an escort (Being nice here) in Las Vegas who married a rich old man. ..."

... maybe in the next 2 weeks ...

LOL! Josh should get this copyrighted. He uses it so often it's not funny any more.

"maybe in the next 2 weeks" synonymous for "I have no clue" (synonymous for "can I have a quarter please?")
488  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: bfl shipped "delivered" 2013/3/31 on: May 19, 2013, 08:09:59 PM
WOW! BFL_Jody : "Customers have to be at least smart enough to go online and order or they won't be able to mine when they do get their units."

Jody also says: "A few went out Saturday and more will be ready to go Monday. All still from June 23 orders ..."

So 6 weeks after they officially started shipping (April 1st), and they are still working to get the units from the first pre-order day shipped. At that speed July pre-order customers will get their units in 2017.
489  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forums Posting: Mini-Rig Concerns: an Open Letter to BFL on: May 19, 2013, 09:10:31 AM
Agreed it could be misleading, it could be deceptive, but im banking on ignorance.

I used to call those guys "them BFL Cowboys" for their unfathomable amount of dilettantism.

But at some stage you simply can't blame it anymore on ignorance - at some stage you have to take malice into consideration.

Please do not skip mini-rig orders to ship loads of smaller units to pander to the masses. And if you do, at least provide demo singles or even jalapenos units free of charge to mini-rig customers.

This is truly unbelievable! Just imagine you ordered a new car - and it's gonna be 6 month late. You get free upgrades (seat heater, better car audio, and whatnot, ...). I would expect the same from BFL (like you said: free Singles or Jalapenos for the high-value MiniRig customers). But what does BFL do instead? Sending free units to the press, family&friends (BFL forum moderators), ... and only a handful to paying customers.

Must be a slap in the face - especially for high-value customers.
490  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 19, 2013, 08:52:17 AM
I just thought of something terrible (or maybe not). What if Josh returns to KC to find that Sonny is nowhere to be found? Imagine the drama!

We all know Josh is gonna be the fall guys in this ...

Does this allow cgminer to fully control the 6xxx and 7xxx cards?

No
492  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I'm starting to get fucking pissed (BFL) on: May 19, 2013, 07:47:57 AM
...
And also, to all of the "I told you so" people with sigs saying BFL is a scam, I don't care what you say. You guys just started posting as the delays began and act like you predicted all of this months into the future. You guys aren't helping the cause at all, ...

Many of the (so called) "Clowns against BFL" crew realized pretty quickly that there's no way that BFL can keep their promises. They informed people about BFLs shabby business business methods (blatant lies, stringing customers along and along, advertising units that don't (and probably will never) exist) as "Order now", etc.).

This did happen as early as mid of last year.

Given BFLs track record of failures, you didn't have to be a genius to predict all of this:
- no way to reach 1GHash/s per Watt
- no way to ship in October 2012
- no way to ship 400 units a day
- ...

But people fell for this. And still do (you can still postings on here like "Should I order a 5GH unit from BFL?")

The "Clowns against BFL" sort of counterbalanced all the BFL Google Ads and Ads on this forum here.

So imho your statement ("You guys aren't helping the cause at all") is not true.

494  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Mtgox going down ??? on: May 18, 2013, 09:46:17 AM
That's mean the biggest bitcoin exchange is DEPENDING ON ONE POLISH BANK. Smiley)))))) I will have a total of 5 bank accounts in 5 diffrent banks in 3 diffrent countries, but MtGox have only ONE LIMITED ACCOUNT in ONE SINGLE polish bank.

Yes, that is totally ridiculous! But you have to understand that MtGox has a vested interest to keep Bitcoin prices up (higher price meens more fees for them).

One way to keep prices high is to "artificially" slow down the outflow of USD/EUR/etc.

Remember: It's not problem do deposit money. It's not problem do deposit Bitcoin. Also withdrawing Bitcoin works in an instant. But withdrawing USD/EUR/etc. is very, very cumbersome ...
495  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Inaba/BFL/WTF??? on: May 18, 2013, 09:12:54 AM
He acts like a douche to everyone, making people mad and in turn they create new threads with 'BFL' in the title somewhere.

You might be on to something  Wink

Given that, a noob stops by and starts reading and what do thay see? ASIC = MONEY, ASIC COMPANY = BFL.

Surely noobs also ask themselves: "Why do so many people take the piss out of Josh/Inaba/BFL ..."

496  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 18, 2013, 08:49:13 AM
Fixed that for you:

it's not a scam, just a big overpromise, underoversell and underdeliver (aka not deliver).

Friendly Reminder That Butterfly Labs Has No FCC Certification For Any Of Their Products, A Fact You Should Try Taking Up With The FCC

Josh claimed last year in November that they've sent a unit to the FCC and are waiting for approval.

A lot of folks here in the forum pointed out that:
- this was another one of Josh/Inabas lies, because at that time they didn't have a prototype - let alone a working product.
- there are no records at FCC for such an application for approval.
499  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 16, 2013, 07:05:45 PM
You guys have seen the videos of working Jalepeno miners, right?

Yes. They did send prototypes to family&friends, developers and magazine authors to create a media frenzy.

That. Is. It.

After that they stopped shipping again.
500  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Fastest ASIC delivery on: May 16, 2013, 11:58:03 AM
Is BitForce SC 5Gh/s and Avalon ASIC #1 being shipped ?
This website say yes :
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

Depends. If you define shipment of ~30 demo units to developers, magazine authors, family&friends - after that stop shipping again - as "shipping: yes", then yes.

But most of us would they "shipping: no".
