481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 27, 2024, 07:26:49 AM
That was a disheartening loss for Suns. The 62 point made by Booker was ruined by a Pacers squad playing without Haliburton. Booker cannot be stopped, and Suns built a big lead. But I am feeling irritated by the absence of its defense. The Suns gave up a ridiculous number of offensive rebounds and there were careless turn overs committed.
That's because Pacers now have figure out how to win and Siakam is very effective. Siakam is very effecient with 31 points from 14-22 shooting. And the Pacers shared the ball well compared to the Suns as they have a total of 34 assists while the Suns only have 24, probably due to Booker's hot shooting. Great number from him, he showed that he is still the same and can carry a team, but the team effort of the Pacers are more successful here.

I thought the Pacers will just cover the handicap but they won, that's insane! 2 wins in a row at home in a back to back game, they are on fire now.

Several great rivalry matches tomorrow but because I lost the majority of my wagers today I will only pick several of them. Early picks are Nuggets, Celtics, Jazz and a multi bet on Timberwolves and Bucks.
Celtics are no longer undefeted at home, and they are playing the Clippers who are one of the hottest team, I think the +7 for the Clippers is quite very attractive. But if you bet on the Celtics to win straight up, that could hit with a high percentage.
482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Your Thoughts on the Recent Crypto Price Drop on: January 27, 2024, 12:00:26 AM
This is another opportunity for us to accumulate and maximize our bitcoin investment, not in a way of buying all in but through DCA, it can be a great initiative to perform buying without even worrying on preparing for a huge amount of capital. With this recent crypto price drop, I don't see any reason to panic or put yourself into worries because we all know that this will only occur at a temporary time. Eventually, the price will recover again and will set a goal to reach its new all time high.

While this brings joy and excitement for those who are eyeing the market for long, but due to price hike, it becomes a struggle for them to enter the market. But here it is now, although it's not a do or die, but we all know that it's a lot more satisfying in the future if we can start investing today and benefit the profits in the near future. While patience is a must, risk management is also a must do for us.
483  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: January 26, 2024, 11:29:41 PM
Those who are holding vast amount of bitcoin are currently panicking at this moment while those who are planning to maximize their bitcoin investment are given opportunity to ride the hype and gain massive profits when bitcoin bull run is here.

However, to be honest, this recent price dip is not new to us. We have seen in the past Bitcoin halving that before it finally takes place, price dips will eventually occur, and history just repeats itself.

If you are wise enough, you will see a good opportunity with this price dumps, but if you are more greedy and is only focused on your expected future profits, you will definitely find it hard to manage the price dips without worrying or panicking.
484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Self control cannot be neglected as an early investor on: January 26, 2024, 10:59:30 PM
Most of the time, the way to learn your lesson is to commit mistakes at first. So I guess what you did is not actually bad, it only gets bad if you never learned from it. And the fact that it's your hard-earned money so you have all the right to spend it on your wants and desires, and just invest in bitcoin if you have save again sufficient amount of capital.

However, self-control is always at its utmost importance. Whether you're in for investing or for any attempts in life, self-control is always necessary so you can focus and go straight to your goal without fallbacks and lapses.
485  Economy / Economics / Re: My life plan for wealth and btc good idea on: January 26, 2024, 09:22:48 PM
You are looking what’s impossible for bitcoin. Unfortunately, no one holds the future price of bitcoin, even for those who have been in the market for such a long time. I guess you are only wondering why still a lot of people are profitable with bitcoin, most likely because they keep educated theirselves about bitcoin and they always learned from their losses and mistakes they experienced in the market.

The reality is that bitcoin won’t never guarantee us secure profits and secure amount of income, that’s why everyone who decides to invest in bitcoin is actually taking a high risk. So if you’re hesitant to take the risk because you can’t get assurance from your money you’re going to invest, then simply don’t enter the market. Bitcoin is not a do or die, so think it a lot of times before you enter bitcoin investment.

Ad for your information OP, while others are in profits with bitcoin, a lot of us here are also suffering from losses. But if you know how to manage and minimize the risk, you will never be totally at a loss. Invest with caution and with patience, that’s the only so you won’t be heading to inevitable losses.

486  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Playing crypto for many years without holding Bitcoin. on: January 25, 2024, 11:58:44 PM
Not all those who profit from bitcoin are actually hodling, some may just buy and sell for short term, or trading like what majority are doing in the crypto space. But if you are trading and at the same time hodling for long term, then that would be more beneficial for you as you are seeing a multi source of profits in the future.

However, not all those who come into crypto have the same mindset and have received the same opportunities like others. Some may have no patience to hold for years so they resort into day trading and expect immediate profits. And others may have no reserved money for hodling as they are in tight budgeting, so if they seek for quick and bigger profits, then trading is the key. But we all know that not all traders are profitable, as those who trade without learning experience mostly fail and only suffer from consistent losing.

Nevertheless, at least we know in ourselves how to take advantage with bitcoin. It can be trading or investing or just trying to take an edge on its technology, that depends on your own preference. What’s important is we never let bitcoin opportunities sleep until we missed the trend.
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 25, 2024, 10:59:13 PM
The reason why most traders feel the urge to gain profits in crypto is probably because of FOMO. They don’t want to be left behind so they feel they need to take the ride as well, even if that would mean losing in the end while others are in high profits. I guess that’s how regular people are, the greed is always high that they forget to assess theirselves if they are capable to make it or not.

Another reason that might trigger the newbies to quickly earn profits is because of these fake crypto influencers. They are not honestly educating people, but they are feeding them with wrong information that only them will benefit, while seeing these newbies losing and regretting.

Lastly, since these newbies were deprived from getting the right information, then their decision making becomes at risk. Instead of working on theirselves and gain more experiences in trading, they resort on trading or selling their coins at the wrong time, because of the belief that they will only be profitable if they sell their coins, regardless if the market is not in a good position.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ryan Garcia - Rolly Romero Tentantive date April 20 on: January 25, 2024, 02:56:48 PM
Romero will fight. Ryan Garcia just wasted the negotiations about fighting Romero.
Bad move if this is true. Why would he refuse a championship fight when there's a chance for him to become a champion again. He needed to be back to the top soon and I think Rolly is an easy route than other fighters out there. Ryan hasn't been impressive despite winning his last fight via KO as he did not control the fight, there are rounds that he lose and that scares his fans. Taking Romero for me is good and it's good that both are trash talking as that will gain attention to the fans and will result to another huge PPV revenue.

I think Ryan Garcia really wants to have a rematch against Tank Davis.
He better not think of this if he still wants to save his career. I mean he is still young, he still have more fights waiting for him and has a chance to be a champion again. So it doesn't make sense to have a rematch with Tank Davis which we all know he will just destroyed again.

I don't know, but does that mental problem attack again on him?
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Joseph Parker (WBO interim heavyweight title) March 8 on: January 25, 2024, 01:57:27 PM
This is hard to predict since Zhang had some unique skills when he won in his last fights and that could be a problem for Parker unless he already solved it and also prepared for working strategies like how he managed to beat Wilder last time. Overall, this is something to watch and if Parker will gonna win this one too, he might get a chance to fight Ngannou as well or Usyk and Fury for the Unification championship in the heavyweight bout.

I think the winner could elevate and become mandatories to any of those top fighters that we have right now in the division. So this is a make or break, specially for Zhang, who we haven't heard before by suddenly burst into the boxing scene with his two wins against the so called next face of the HW in Dubois. But he beat him by knockout and so the same can be said for Parker, he derail the AJ vs Wilder in Saudi. But I guess the scenario that we are looking is that Zhang by early knockout win or Parker boxing his way to a 12 round decision and avoiding those heavy bombs from Zhang.
Zhang is not popular like the big names in the heavyweight division but he is a" (WBO) interim heavyweight title since 2023." And maybe if he wins here he will become the champion. I don't know how this goes since Oleksandr Usyk is also currently the champion and if he lose to Fury, it will be Fury that will take his place. But according to the report, this is a title fight, so most probably they are fighting for the WBO championship.

I think we read already the voice of the majority here, and most of us believe that Zhang will win again. I believe Zhang has no chance against a more popular champion like Usyk and Fury, and even AJ, so most likely he will just retire while he is still ahead, but it's still up to him though.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaurd yourself this year against crypto scams on: January 24, 2024, 11:58:13 PM
There is a tendency to always think of newbies as possible victims, and we try to guide them, but one of the main mistakes is thinking that it will never happen to us, so, overconfidence is what we have to take care of.

The best scam is the one we don't know about, it's obvious, that's why you have to stay informed regardless of your level of knowledge and experience.
I believe everyone here is susceptible to scams, regardless of how long you’ve been in the market, that will never guarantee that the scammers will never keep an eye on you. They will always try to be smarter and wiser so they can find ways to take advantage on us, otherwise they won’t fulfill their jobs if they fail on their craft.

In spite of the fact that newbies usually fall as the victims, since they don’t have enough exposure on the market, but long time traders and investors should also never feel confident enough because the moment that these scammers find a hole in us, they will surely grab and proceed on planning on how we will fall on their traps. Scammers are actually intelligent on their own ways, otherwise they won’t be staying in their job if they are not good and skillful enough.

Hence, getting the right information is the key. Not only on how to stay in profits with your trading and investing career, but also be updated on the current strategies of how these scammers are scamming. Once we are seeing the same thing is happening to us, then be alert enough to get rid from those scammers and block them if possible.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine African countries using Bitcoin to pay salaries, on: January 24, 2024, 09:48:24 AM
Central African Republic has followed the path of El Salvador making bitcoin as a legal tender. But the rest of the African countries don’t see bitcoin as a legal tender, although some of these countries are currently active in bitcoin investments. So if Central African Republic is accepting bitcoin as a legal tender, it’s highly possible that employees may request from their employees to pay them in bitcoin.

However, in some African countries like Nigeria, their central bank is not recognizing bitcoin as a legal tender, even though Nigeria is known to be a crypto friendly after it has lifted its ban on crypto. Most likely, these countries do not see bitcoin as a currency but mostly a property or a long term investment.

Nevertheless, I’m still seeing bigger chances for most of African countries to accept bitcoin as a legal tender in the future. The fact that bitcoin is already legal in their countries, then most probably years from now it will be from Africa again that we will hear bitcoin considering as a legal tender. With that, it’s not surprising if employees will be paid in bitcoin as long as there is mutual agreement between the employer and its employees.
492  Economy / Economics / Re: Passion for skills. on: January 22, 2024, 05:57:21 PM
I guess I have a lot of skills to learn and master but one thing that I am more focused today is definitely to learn how to cook. I dream of become a good chef someday so I can open my own restaurant with lots of palatable dishes. I know it takes some time to learn and master this skill but if given the chance to engage with some cooking lesson, I would definitely do that.

Aside from Bitcoin trading, cooking is really my passion. But I think I just need to practice more often so I can develop my skill in cooking and hope to earn being a chef in the future.
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silly and scary questions, and what would you do if that were you. on: January 22, 2024, 03:07:11 PM
Give them what they want. You can fight back that's a bit risky but have your firearm concealed all the time. Shoot when the opportunity is on your side.
If you want to prevent this from happening then just don't share with anyone that you have Bitcoin. I don't know if the stories about people getting kidnapped and ask their passwords at gunpoint were true but it's very possible especially if you share information on social media.

Sharing anything that criminals can assume you have some tremendous amount of wealth means you can be targeted.
Exactly. There’s no point defending our bitcoin asset if we’ll also be killed, so just give them what they want and you might be free after that. Although there’s no assurance that you won’t be killed after you give them your wallet address, but in this type of scenario, it’s better to think positively than keep on doubting them.

There are a lot cases like this being reported and most likely, the kidnappers end up killing their victims. But if you were in the shoe of the victim, for sure you will just follow their order by not trying to go against them, otherwise you will get tortured until your last breath. That’s kinda worse but it’s certainly happening to some of the hostages.

Sacramento Kings - Atlanta Hawks - Atlanta Hawks (10.5)

Mate can I make a comment? Maybe I'm wrong but I just want to say this. Honestly, I don't like the line of the Hawks which is +8.5 now. For me, this seems to be a trap since the Kings are on a losing streak, so most likely if they will win, it will be via blowout so they will also cover the spread.

That looks like a trap if you will not check the line up of the Atlanta Hawks. As per report, Trae young is not playing, so missing their main man against a hungry team Sacramento Kings is really huge.

As stated in this report.

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/trae-young-injury-update-hawks-star-placed-in-concussion-protocol-out-indefinitely/

Quote
Trae Young injury update: Hawks star placed in concussion protocol, out indefinitely

The Atlanta Hawks have placed star point guard Trae Young in the concussion protocol, the team announced on Sunday. Young will be out indefinitely as he begins the NBA's mandated Return-to-Participation process, which requires players to display symptom-free behavior in order to be cleared for basketball activities.

Young was injured in the team's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Jan. 20. Early in the fourth quarter, Young was back in transition defense and stepped in to take a charge on Isaac Okoro. While he was successful in doing so, he took a shot to the face in the process and had to leave the game.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Joseph Parker (WBO interim heavyweight title) March 8 on: January 22, 2024, 12:00:38 PM
The battle of the underrated champion. Parker came from a big win but I'm gonna bet on Zhang as I believe he had proven himself to be a strong opponent by beating Joyce twice which he was a heavy underdog on the first meeting. Parker's win against Wilder is also huge but I think Wilder is not anymore on his prime or he was mentally affected with his lose to Fury which he cannot be as confident as he was when he's still undefeated.

It's a chess match, but both have power so I think it will not end in 12 rounds. Maybe maximum rounds based on my prediction is 10 rounds, and it's favor of Zhang as I've mentioned.

Actually Parker has more fights as per boxrec, and he is younger, looking at that he got the edge but bookies listed him as underdog.

496  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 22, 2024, 11:03:53 AM
You don't have to use so called strategy.

The key is always try to looking a way to increase your income, try to lower your monthly expense, think few times before purchase something and keep DCA-ing Bitcoin. Sooner or later you will become rich, the problem is only the consistency.

Someone: It's hard to increase my income.
Me: Who said it's easy?
I think this is not new anymore for us, anyone should be held accountable of its own money expenses and savings. Yes, it’s actually a must do but it does not guarantee that we won’t be thriving or struggling at some point with our finances. At the end of the day, know what is right and wrong from managing your finances, because whatever or how you perform it, there will always be consequences or advantages afterwards.

I believe the end goal for this is to achieve financial stability and success. If you instill personal financial accountability, of course you can track all your expenses which made you monitor the outcome of your financial usage and management.
497  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not use more than 2x leverage on: January 22, 2024, 10:37:10 AM
I guess there is one point of Vitalik's life that he did more than 2x leverage and he lost and he's done with it. It's a good advise for someone who's conservative in investing but in trading, traders should also consider what he's said.

If someone is going to follow his advise, that's good and it helped what he said. But if not, no matter who's saying these advises, we're on our own as we trade.

Good thing with Vitalik is that, he's got his own platform through his social media and I am sure that many newbies that admires him follows him a lot.
Trading with leverage will certainly increase your potential profits, but it should be perform wisely, otherwise you will lose all your funds in just a blink of an eye. Probably that’s why Vitalik made it as a financial advise because majority of the traders or investors still lose in the process, most particularly for those who take leverage.

However, if you are still beginning to learn the process, it would be much better to stay away using leverage, you can safely trade or invest without compromising its own risk.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Denying yourself comfortability in other to buy Bitcoin on: January 21, 2024, 11:58:42 PM
I guess no matter how rich we are, it’s still undeniable that we don’t all live in comfort. There are still discomforts in our lives like having to sleep late because we have to finish some errands, or the vice versa waking up early so we can come to work without getting late. So we still live having discomfort, and we have accepted it already since it’s a must.

Now, with regards to bitcoin, it’s not that I have to deny my comfortability, but knowing what and where to spend is being wise with your finances. Of course, when it comes to basic needs, then definitely its a must buying but when we talk about unnecessary things, then we have to delay and put bitcoin purchase as our top priority. Not only it will be useful today but most likely in the future.
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 21, 2024, 11:47:47 AM
I hope first 5 players are ready to play, this is a do or die game so they can't make an excuses, playing with inury is necessary as long as they can help their team to win.

I saw hodge and Perkins on the floor, so yes it's a complete line up and for sure they'll be battling down to the wire. Enjoy the evening as it's just one game, after this we will proceed to the semi finals.

Another bad start for Meralco, just like the first game, they were down a double digit. Can they continue the trend and win the 2nd half. I am still hopeful with my bet, I'm hoping Meralco would be able to come back in the 3rd quarter and will make it a single digit deficit, or much better if they'll take the lead after the 3rd quarter so we will have a very good last quarter to watch.

Meralco's outside shooting is not sinking, it looks like they are hesitant unlike the Phoenix who are confident to shoot and attack. I hope the right adjustments will be made for this interesting 3rd quarter to come.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 21, 2024, 09:36:26 AM

So Nery needs to be very careful here, he might think that his power could be enough, but Inoue shows that he has a iron chin too. And Inoue also developed his counter punching already, similar to a pull back then straight right of Mayweather. But Inoue has more power.

Nery does have a good KO rate but Inoue is just exceptional. He better think that he is up against an extraordinary powerful fighter so he would be reckless when in the ring. It's a big success for him if he could finally deal Inoue his first lose, but it's easier than said, you know.

Inoue is the heavy favorite with the odds interpretation that he is unlikely to lose, so Nery has the challenge here prove to the world that Inoue also has some weakness. The fight is in Japan, all advantage is on Inoue but Nery could make it not necessary anymore if he could end the fight with a knockout.
