How many units were delivered until now? Do we have a forum guesstimate?

I was maintaining a list, but hardly anyone has let me know about deliveries

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348957.0

It seems all the CA batch are done, that was 1,200 units less any that were refunded.

482  Economy / Auctions / Re: FAST AUCTION COINTERRA TERRAMINER 1,6TH/s (3 pieces) on: July 04, 2014, 10:56:43 AM
Why did you not leave negative trust for user if they sent you defective machines?  Considering all the issues that have been reported with this users auctions it seems strange that they do not have any negative trust rating from any users.

I did, and I was going to post a warning in this thread but as 3 others had already done so and the bids kept coming it seemed that people weren't interested.

483  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: July 03, 2014, 12:45:41 PM
Spondoolies,

Please can you add the option to purchase shipping in your store.

I wanted to send my hosted miners elsewhere, but wire transfer seems to be the only option and that's not something I can quickly or easily do.

TIA
484  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: CryptX sells A2 Innosilicon 90 Scrypt Miners 7500$ + shipping IN STOCK on: July 03, 2014, 08:02:11 AM
All terminators have been sold I get as reply when I mail them if I can pick them up, yet they are still listed in the store.

--edit--
store now says out of stock aswell.

Nice. You bought all the A2's . With that said OP with your permission to post since you are now out of stock.  I also have an A2 90M for sale for $7000 plus shipping https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=669134.0

I will remove my post if you have items in stock

No I wanted to buy them, but they were already gone.

Be thankful, it was probably a lucky escape, OP likes sending out broken equipment.

I also doubt the original design of Neptune was meant to have 5 chips, like maybe it WAS supposed to be like Jupiter, and the chips were a bit slower than planned.
I think that is 100% obvious in view of the fact that the original pictures showed a four chip design (same as Jup).  When they found out how crappy the chip would actually perform, they went to the five-cube scheme.

Or here's another theory, the old KNC had a reputation for over-delivering on specs and the Neptune was going to hash at 4.1TH and feature 6 cubes.

After the company ethos changed to make as much money as possible and stuff the customers (sub standard parts to save a few pennies/cents), it was decided that a 5 cube unit fulfilled their promise of 3TH and all the extra ones go their farm.

Think about it 3,600 units sold, 1 cube from each is 2,376,000 GH completely free for them.

I want to set up new prices for my rig and I get this "Invalid rental plan. Maximum rateplan variance exceeded." Huh

That's designed to stop you inputting an obviously incorrect number ie with a decimal place out (but not sure what percentage it uses)

Check that isn't what's happening. If that fails delete all your current prices and start again with your new ones.
487  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 02, 2014, 09:57:07 AM
Just a heads up for anyone interested. We offer hosting in our Colocation in California - we also offer shipping from California.  Wink

As another UK 20% duty victim, I had a look at your website but there doesn't appear to be a simple way to buy the miners + hosting at the same time.

It says you can opt in to have it hosted, and there is a promo for 12 months at a reduced rate with free PSU (which I would go for) bit couldn't see how to add either of them.

And on a personal note, that moving top menu bar is annoying as it hides what you are trying to read when you scroll down Smiley

488  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: July 01, 2014, 12:09:50 PM
Has NMC moved one bit, too?

Edit:  we found one finally!  No 0 block yet closed yet, but it was damn close!

It's on the stats page, and on the blockchain but not on the PPLNS stats, so we have a closed 0 shift after that block was found ??

EDIT: It just updated to show 1 block.
489  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: July 01, 2014, 11:38:53 AM
So we are finally going to have closed shifts with no blocks found...

Cry Sad

490  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [In Stock]$1699 for 1T BTC miner,to be delivered in 24hours on: June 30, 2014, 07:41:48 PM
hosting miners available from July 8th,professional data center,a good station for hosting, hosting fee ranges 165-185USD per month.

On July 10th 1TH will cost under $1000, do you think Dragon miner factory will be able to match Bitmain then?

I had 20 S3's in my basket and was ready to pull the trigger, but with the 12 day delay I thought I'd hang on and see if the Dragons drop in price to be competitive.  I like having an all in one machine and my first Dragon has been rock solid at 1.02TH not a single reboot.  Plus I'm looking to move a lot of my future hashing into hosted miners as the UK is not a great place to run them.
491  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: UK Asic Hosting on: June 30, 2014, 07:30:36 PM
I have my own server room and I was recently asked by another member on here if I could host some of his machines, but the problem as you have found is that the UK is not a good location to do this.

Although I have decent rates due to volume of 10p kwh, by the time you add the VAT and climate change levy it's up to around 13p kwh which is the equivalent to $0.20 in the USA

Once you have added on some for cooling, maintenance and profit the rates are just too high to be worth doing.

Another problem is the stinking 20% import duty + fees we have to pay when something is imported.

Because of this I am slowly selling off my old equipment and having my new stuff shipped to the USA to be hosted there. Because they have such low electric rates they can offer the full service for what I pay on just electic plus no taxes.

I wish you well if you move forward, but I don't see much of a demand here.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 27, 2014, 07:23:00 AM
I just whipped this little number up for possible use on a Neptune.

I am considering upping it to 16AWG and HCS pins but only if there is demand for it.

Well I'll definately take 10 of the upgraded ones, if it goes ahead I'll see if any other UK users want them so you can just do 1 shipment.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 26, 2014, 10:11:59 PM
Some news from one of KNC's engineers on IRC

Should be a new firmware tomorrow.

The LCD screen can be removed and another cube plugged in, no idea if they will actually sell extra one's though.  It's a waste of a port and I don't care about the screen so personally I'd buy one if the price was right.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 26, 2014, 01:32:52 PM
My question is, wouldn't it be better to make up some cables that go from two sockets on the PSU to one PCI-e rather than void my year of Neptune warranty? That and demand compensation from KnC for the woeful inadequacy in their design, obviously.

u27

I doubt such a thing exists but I think the best solution to avoid warranty issues would be some sort of dual adaptor.

Something like this audio adaptor but with PCI-E plugs obviously Smiley

495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 26, 2014, 06:55:08 AM

Those EVGA 1300s work great for my FrankenJup. But others had problems trying to run more than 5 FrankenJup modules. So I would proceed with caution. Check the KNC forum for more discussions about PSUs.

thanks, I'm waiting a response from the guy that did the video, I'll relay his answer if he does.

Mine has been running for 2 days now on the EVGA's, I chose them as I have used them to power 3 ants at a time (1200w) with no problems.

Running the neptune, the cables are a little warmer than I'm comfortable with but they aren't red hot.
496  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: June 25, 2014, 10:14:59 PM
Zvisha is giggly because he worked on SP30 FW for 12 hours straight and now he is in sleep deprivation.

Then, login a huge overtime and "hit the sack", LOL
Cheers

I can not sleep without understanding if SP30 will ROI or not  Undecided

Love it Smiley

I would love to lease all of your rigs right now if they weren't on LRP

LRP is not compatible with p2pool Sad

Leasrigs are currently testing a new system which will get rid of the LRP and allow the use of P2Pool and even solo mining.

The only reason I use LRP is that I have lots of machines and people seem to prefer larger rigs so it's currently the only simple way to combine them.
498  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} WHAT THE:!( Butterfly Lads won't deliver the Monarch Till JUNE or JULY:( on: June 24, 2014, 09:47:18 PM
Is that hashing at 350GH/s? Is only one die working?

Don't forget the 9% hardware errors Smiley
499  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: June 23, 2014, 09:40:44 AM
Are people really that cheap that they won't pay 2% fees (or whatever it is now)?! For many people it's just pennies a day. I just don't get it.

When it's pennies per day yes it's a dumb move, but unfortunately the larger the operation the more that 2% starts to be a significant factor.

I expect that the recent huge growth at ghash.io isn't a result of people with a couple of antminers, it's BIG farms with hundreds of TH or even in the PH range.

500  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I no longer work for Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 22, 2014, 09:10:26 PM
Goat is next to Phin, the OP never worked for BFL, BFL did not sell any 28nm chips, nice try.  Next.
SLoK, Goat is next to Josh, I am next to Phin.

No one cares.

How long has BFL been shipping the Monarch 28nm mining hardware to its secret customer base?

You dodged it three times so we now know its true, now we want to know how long?

I changed the question slightly, they can't get the 'Monarch' to work, so whatever they are shipping will be called something different.
