481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ICO'S Scamed since last year on: January 23, 2019, 07:31:12 PM
Actually, when crypto gained popularity and start to rise up then scammers also got interested in making millions of money but this is not just last year. I think in 2017, there are lots of scam project but people were so amazed and occupied with the much bigger project since they are receiving lots of rewards and tokens at that time. Actually, even the scam projects were able to distribute their tokens too because they have earned enough for the distribution fees. Now that some scam projects were able to generate profit but don't have enough money to distribute then they are obvious scammers. While good projects that don't reach even softcap paused their project and rerun their bounty campaign to somehow generate for the distribution fees and for the startup of the project.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the Real Risks of Crypto? on: January 23, 2019, 06:48:45 PM
It will always be the user and not the technology. The lack of knowledge and understanding is really what drives the risks in any kind of industry. Let us have an anology: for instance you would want to learn how to drive a motorbike the risk of being in an accident is not to be blamed to the bike but rather your knowledge and experience on how to drive it.
I totally agree with this one. Well, we need to be knowledgeable about something that is new to us and we need to be careful when doing it for the first time. Aside from being knowledgable, we must do what is right, even though we know all about Crypto then we are doing it wrong then it has no difference at all being ignorant on that matter or worst. Risks are already there, we must know how to manage it.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling! Yes or No? on: January 23, 2019, 06:34:06 PM
I think TS is really new in investing and trading in cryptomarket. Well, there is a correction happening that is why the market is so unstable and having a downward movement. Just wait and you will see that at the right time, the market situation will be better and everything that you've invested will make a profit in no time. I am not giving you false hopes but this is just based on what we have experienced. This is the time of learning so research more and study more on how to trade so you can make this bearish moment a fruitful one.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very soon we will see a new wave of market growth!!! on: January 22, 2019, 10:01:26 PM
This a very good thread that inspires all of us to look forward to something better. It is true that we should be positive on what we do because the opposite of the bear season is the harvest season. When the correction of the market ends, we will eventually feel the growth. So we should continue on sowing and sowing then when the reaping season will come, we have so many fruits to harvest. Just continue fighting guys!
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans for this year on: January 22, 2019, 09:07:43 PM
I think there's no significant difference of your losses when you decided selling your coins at its lowest price and holding it now until it reaches zero.
But if you hold it now then it rise up again in no time, I think that will be a great thing and a good decision to make.

487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TO DO ABOUT 2019? on: December 13, 2018, 12:47:31 PM
2019 is not far from now and i think we might have seen the worse in 2018 because 2018 bear market came more like a surprise to all cryptocurrency enthusiasts and before we could realize the whole thing the market could not recover which have forced most of us to become holders of some altcoins and different ICO's token that ain't worth holding and now we are almost there in 2019. During the bull run a lot of analytics predicted that Bitcoin could reached $50K and above and now the reserve is the case throughout the year 2018. This year have taught a lot of us different lessons on how to cope during the bear market. May i know your own opinion on how you were able to scale through and survive during this unexpected 2018 bear market...

Thanks Guys

I think I am able to survive this unexpected Bear market because of the reserve fund I am holding, aside from that, I have a source of income outside cryptocurrency.  I am able to sell 1/4 of my holding during the peak last Dec. 2017, if am failed to sell it that time, I am not sure what would have happen.  I guess I still have the luxury to wait until mid of 2019, probably by that time, the market had already recover.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can I earn 1 bitcoin in 1 year through bounties ?? on: December 13, 2018, 12:37:17 PM
I am in the crypto world since a long time but I never earned 1 BTC whole ever..I never took bounties too seriously but now I am jobless and want to start with bounty...how much can be earned with bounties specially with my rank..
bounty in 1 year only reaches 6 times with an average count of 2 months per bounty, if I count per bounty can get $ 100 then in 1 year you get $ 1200, the lowest bitcoin is currently $ 3400

If you are lucky enough to get in a bounty that pay in BTC such as chipmixer, you will defintely get 1 BTC in less than a year.  But you need to be at least trusted member of the community or great quality poster.  With the altcoin bounty considering your rank, OP,  you need to be lucky  to join a great ICO that have lesser participants and have huge bounty allocation for the campaign and paid in time where their token is at bullish state.  Else it would impossible.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Resistance on: December 13, 2018, 12:31:26 PM
Is anyone seeing XRP falling below the 30c resistance?

In our current market, there is no resistance.
If Bitcoin gets dumped again for the last time(I sincerely hope), everything will go down following it. If Bitcoin goes down, 30c means nothing.
I bet, it might and could go lower to around 20c if Bitcoin gets dumped again.
even though it gets lower from this point, we can not deny that it is a good entry for you to start your position.

If BTC get dumped hard, I believe many altcoins will break-away.  One of it is XRP since it has a good community and a developer that keeps on playing with the market price.  Anyway, until XRP break away from the infuence of BTC, it is possible that it will be dragged down once BTC get dumped hard.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that 99% of ICOs are either failed or scam? on: December 13, 2018, 12:27:02 PM
I see a lots of ICO with the use of their coins are similar. They raised money, got them and ran away.

Majority but not 99%.  Many ICO did not meet the minimum requirement to make their start-up successful but they still push it, in return the project failed or stopped at the middle of progress.  This is the reason why I believe ICO must be regulated, to filter it from half-baked plan, fraud and scam project.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Ether? on: December 12, 2018, 08:42:05 PM
ethereum will continue like this before they make major changes that guarantee the security and openness of their platform, the smart contract they provided has many problems and it made him lose many investors

Indeed, lots of investors loses money due to their bugs and exploitable code.  I hope the upcoming update won't have any exploits that hacker can take advantage in stealing investors funds.  I also hope they do not oversee these possible bugs on their upcoming update.  This new upgrade will somehow bring lots of hype if implemented successfully.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Supporting new projects can lead to a better future. on: December 12, 2018, 08:13:11 PM
The only project that is making me any money in this bear market is arbitraging and I earn money from the arbitraging robot. All other coins and tokens have made me humongous losses in 2018 at the point of my capitulating, but since I found the ARB robot it saved me from complete destruction. I do like other crypto projects but they have ruined me financially because I either bought in at the wrong time or didn't sell when I should have. The only luck I have had if anything is with Arbitraging but if all goes well, I still plan on investing also in a few other solid projects like PUNDIX, but not sure about new projects right now.

You may also want to look at UTRUST, I think PUNDIX and UTRUST had formed a strategic partnership.  Currently UTRUST is at its bottom but the good thing is its upcoming release of its platform this Q1 of 2019.  About new project, I am more interested in ICO that comply with institution's policy.  This way they will do their best to meet their roadmap or else they will be sanctioned by law.  One way of protecting my investment.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic Dev Team (ETCDEV) Shuts Down on: December 12, 2018, 07:25:13 PM
That was the news that made ETH price fall from $ 500 to $ 95. a sad year for the ETH fans. I do not invest in ETH but I feel ETH seems to be manipulated by so many different businesses. I can not believe it. The new XRP is really a giant that needs attention!

What the hell are you talking about??? This is about ETC aka Ethereum Classic, not ETH

This is very serious and if the whole almighty ethereum classic is shut down then I don't think we have hope for many of those under perform coins.  Many of the altcoins especially the one that has strong foundation has lose over 90% of it last year December value and the market keep falling and that is why we are lose very serious hope on them.  Investing into the market is scaring and that makes most of the projects that need fund not having enough fund to prosecute the projects and many of the running icos are not having enough fund to prosecute there projects.

Haven't you read the reply I've posted just now? I literally just said that they're putting together a new team...
This is definitely not the end of ETC.

Besides, even if all the paid development teams quit, I'm sure that the community would just keep developing, albeit at a slower pace.

In addition there are other team aside from ETCDEV that is involved in development of  ETC. I think there are two more if I am not mistaken.   It would be great if they form another team again so making it 3 major groups of developer helping hands in hands for the development of ETC.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP beat ETH? on: December 11, 2018, 06:20:55 PM
This is what we can tell on this issue.
RIPPLE will remain unbeatable with ETHEREUM in terms of SUPPLY CIRCULATION.
But XRP will remain more versus ETHEREUM in the market community.
RANK 2 got by XRP now but if you will see i will still keep ETH now and even in the future!
may i ask! do you love banking?

I do, that is why i bring banking to myself by investing in cryptocurrency.  CMC is just a number game, have a gazillion supply make some transaction on exchange and meet the requirement of $100k everyday for consecutive days then boom, you are now on CMC.  The hell you can even beat Bitcoin in CMC with those numbers.  It is plain and simple, CMC is broken.  It should not be used as basis on which coin or token is better.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated on: December 11, 2018, 05:51:45 PM
ICO should be regulated.  Government have to protect these investors and stop scam and fraud in the cyrptocurrency industry.  There are lots of scam company that exploits cryptocurrency. When asked if they have the license to operate, they will answer with decentralization so it does not need to have license to operate.  So in the early years of cryptocurrency, until now, there are lots of fly by night companies, half-baked ICO's and scam ICO in the industry.  If investors always got scammed, we will see a barren land in the crypto universe, there will be no growth because people are afraid to hop in because of these scams.  So yes, ICO must be regulated.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should we be happy or stay alert because of some foul play? on: December 11, 2018, 04:32:10 PM
I am glad that these government institution are beginning to acknowledge bitcoin.  I don't mind them regulating stuff with regards to cyptocurrency, I can see it as steps to remove fraud and scams in cryptocurrency sphere.  Besides if they are here to tax us, I do not object.

Banks have seen blockchain tech as innovation, so they will definitely jump to it sooner or later.  As for them getting involved in cryptocurrency, it is all business and they saw cryptocurrency market as very potential business.
497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Prediction to hit 100,000$ on: December 06, 2018, 07:10:19 PM
Yes i think bitcoin can reach that value, but i think we can see that price so soon, maybe in 2-3 years and also i think we need more people to join and also bitcoin to be used in more sites as a option for payment.

I do not think Bitcoin will reach $100k in 2 to  3 years time.   Remember there should be a breakthrough for Bitcoin to achieve this price.  With its current situation and how "fast" the development is, and considering its scalability, probably at least a decade to achieve this price.  It is a very long time wait so be ready with your patience  Grin.
498  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about this plan? on: December 06, 2018, 06:43:00 PM
Imagine having one bitcoin.
You sell that bitcoin at the current price(around 3800 USD).
Bitcoin crashes again somewhere around Christmass and the price goes down to 1K USD.
You buy 3.8 bitcoins with the dollars you got from the previous sale and you HODL.
In 2019-2020 bitcoin recovers to 10K USD (or maybe reaches 20K ATH).
You have made atleast 38K USD. Grin
I know it's not guaranteed to happen, but hey, this is the Speculation forum,so why not speculate about this.
I think that this is every crypto whale's trading plan for the next 2 years.

Everyone already think of this strategy.  But sadly not all are be able to pull this through.  You can short now and buy later at a lower price but as you said it is not guaranteed.  There is a possible chance that after you sell your 1 Bitcoin the price goes up so that means there is also a possibility you will regret your decision about selling your BTC at this current rate.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN INVESTMENT IS BETTER THAN NETWORK MARKETING? on: December 06, 2018, 02:35:41 PM
Since when network marketing became a good investment? You're earning by fooling people who just want to get some profit from their hard earned money. I would rather work hard than to make others suffer. Neither Bitcoin is a good investment, unless you fully accept its volatility. Educating yourself first is the greatest investment so you won't get fooled by networking schemes nor get caught in a bull trap with bitcoin.

Depends on the one participating on the investment.  Mostly people  misunderstood what network marketing is.

Quote
Network marketing, also known as multi-level marketing, is a business model which involves a pyramid structured network of people who sell a company’s products. The participants in this network are usually remunerated on a commission basis.

https://www.feedough.com/network-marketing-mlm/

Though most of scams and fraud use this kind of scheme but legit company that uses this scheme produce millionaires in legit way through product sales and commission.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUD from Large Media Outlets when BItcoin Goes Down! on: December 06, 2018, 02:11:09 PM
Online article writing is business.  So they have to sensationalize stuff to capture attention.  They also tend to pick worst word as to triggers readers emotion.  And News always tend to add salt to the wounds as they spread FUD to the market.  I wonder these kind of news were silent when Bitcoin is rallying upward.
