Looks like I'm a little late to the party, but...

I'm in.

It's never too late, Jeremy. Besides, 'the party' is just beginning. I took the liberty of putting you down for (1+) which translates into you pledging at least 1 BTC and will honor it when you see fit. Thank you kindly for your contribution.

BTW, I ordered that book from Amazon thanks to you. Did you see the thread where I outlined how the whole process progressed? Also, nice interview, the other day.

~Bruno~

Hi Bruno. No, I didn't see the thread. Where is it? Thanks!

If you could also leave feedback on http://bitcoinfeedback.spendbitcoins.com that would be awesome, thanks!

504  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] any amount up to 2000 BTC at today's Mt Gox 24h high on: December 17, 2011, 04:24:58 AM
Sorry for the stupid question, but why can't you buy it on any of the exchanges?

That's not a stupid question, it's an excellent question.

Answer: I've run out of money on the exchanges and want the bitcoins quicker than I can get the money to the exchanges. Smiley
505  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sell me a credit card for bitcoin? on: December 17, 2011, 02:53:16 AM
Any reputable people on here that can send me a virtual cc for bitcoins?

Whatever happened to madhatter? there seems to be an opportunity here now that no one is selling credit cards for btc anymore.

Let me know what you need and I'll get it for you if I can.
506  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Lots of BTC for sale! on: December 17, 2011, 01:55:21 AM
I'm sending you a PM.

511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm going to be interviewed about bitcoin on Free Talk Live's after show ton on: December 16, 2011, 04:37:47 AM
For those who may miss it, somebody provide an archived link.

Hopefully it wasn't too much just an infomercial for Spend Bitcoins. Smiley

This interview didn't go out live. The only way to get it will be by podcast. It will appear on http://freetalklive.com within about 5 hours or so, and I'll put a direct link here if nobody beats me. Smiley
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm going to be interviewed about bitcoin on Free Talk Live's after show tonight on: December 16, 2011, 12:07:56 AM
Mention these recent developments:

1) SwitchPoker.com and BC-Casino.com
2) Internet Archive (Wayback Machine)
3) OKPay (massive online payment system - popular in Russia/Europe)

Also, specifically related to Free Talk Live's audience, Ira of BTCinch.com will be speaking at Liberty Forum in New Hampshire.

Also, since being "declared dead" by the press about 1-2 months ago, Bitcoin has appreciated over 50%

Try to avoid any discussion of mining.

Grrrr... REALLY wanted to mention archive.org as the amount they've raised as quickly as they have is really cool. Alas, didn't get a chance to talk about any of this (except I did mention miners -- once Smiley)

I think they'd be interested in hearing about the ability to buy gold and silver with Bitcoin Smiley

I would suggest similar thinking in the gemstone department Wink

Didn't get a chance. Sorry Sad

Free Talk Live, an American radio show on more than 100 stations, sometimes tacks interviews dubbed "The Edgington Post" to the end of its podcast.

Tonight will be one such interview, with me, about Spend Bitcoins.

If given the chance, I would like to say more about bitcoin than just plugging Spend Bitcoins. Free Talk Live already talks quite a bit about bitcoin, thanks largely to Roger Ver advertising different bitcoin sites on Free Talk Live.

If you have any thoughts on what else I should mention during my interview, please comment below.

Glad to hear it! I'm a frequent listener of FTL's podcast (the radio show doesn't air locally.)

I'd recommend an appeal to all the independent merchants listening to start accepting bitcoins. You wouldn't necessarily have to hype BitPay, but of all merchants, the ones who listen to FTL have few excuses now for not accepting them.

I also think repeatedly hearing that no one person, government or company runs Bitcoin really helps dispel some doubts that people have about it; that's probably the last hurdle a lot of folks have, they think someone manages it, and they're afraid that if that entity goes under, or is a scam, or whatever, they could lose their funds. If they know that Bitcoin is distributed, and that they hold onto their own funds ("bitcoins are sent, never withdrawn,") I think it'll go a long way with the FTL audience.

I really pushed for independent merchants to accept bitcoins a couple of times. Didn't get a chance to mention bit-pay, wish I had. Just said for merchants who accept bitcoins to spend them on spend bitcoins. Smiley

Also, didn't get a chance to talk about the decentralized nature of bitcoin much. Sad

518  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Exchange bitcoins for paypal on: December 13, 2011, 07:57:32 PM
How can you possibly risk the chargebacks that may ensue here? A noble venture but......
He allows selling bitcoins, not buying bitcoins, so chargebacks don't apply.

Even for buying, the real problem isn't the chargebacks, it's PayPal freezing the account.

^^ this Smiley

My 1,960th post. The same year I was born--1960. To commemorate this occasion, I offer up this:

Post number 400 for me. Such a coincidence because my dad was 40 once and I'll be 40 in just over half a decade and 40 X 10 = 400.

Coincidences are spooky.
520  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Change your bitcoins to USD via Amazon Payments... FREE on: December 13, 2011, 07:18:57 AM
You can now exchange up to 2000 USD worth of bitcoins per day for USD via Amazon Payments on http://spendbitcoins.com.

Happy Christmas!
Happy spending!

You're the guy I've been wanting to talk to. I need to buy a book from Amazon using your services. I can easily do it via CC, but desire to do it this way. Post a reply here and also PM me outlining the correct steps I need to take, thereby giving you the opportunity to show others here how your services work. This is the book I want to purchase: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0765341611/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

~Bruno~

Hi there off-topic buddy. The steps are laid out very simply on the front page of http://spendbitcoins.com. Any questions, feel free to post them here.

Happy spending!
