501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casino key features!? Looking for a players advice! on: December 01, 2021, 07:19:23 PM
Hello,

I'm currently developing a crypto casino, I need an advice.

 - What's they key features that you are looking for when joining a new Crypto casino?
 - What set's you off from joining new casino?
 - Main cryptocurrencies that you like to gamble with?
 - Your favorite games?

Thanks!

The first and foremost thing that I personally look at is the house edge.

If the house edge is too high then there is no reason to look further. I'd rather have a better house edge than a fancier looking site.

Then it becomes a matter of KYC - are they known to be draconian with their KYC measures? If yes, I probably want to steer clear.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Macau Casino's shares falls against illegal gambling arrest. on: November 30, 2021, 06:50:54 PM
It all comes down to China not allowing gambling.

The money has to go somewhere and whether they like it or not, it is going to end up going through illegitimate routes if legal routes aren't available.

Not surprised though, draconian regulations have never proven to be effective.
503  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-11-12] Miami will hand out free Bitcoin to residents from profits on city on: November 26, 2021, 10:35:39 PM
I'm skeptical.

There is no free lunch on this earth and what they're trying to spin this off as seems awfully similar to a free lunch of sorts.

This will likely fizzle out as a short term exercise of fad rather than logic. But hey, any publicity for crypto's is good publicity.
504  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Calls for Global Crypto Regulation on: November 26, 2021, 09:50:53 PM
Completely agree with the sentiment of Binance being self-serving.

You simply can't take their word for it. They are seeing crypto as an endless moneymaker which has brought billions in revenues. If unregulated cryptos are better for them, they'll campaign that way. If regulation favors them, they will also campaign that way.

I have ditched them since they stopped offering KYC free accounts and many others have too.
505  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: November 26, 2021, 09:36:51 PM
Bitcoin has made good progress today compared to last three days today Bitcoin almost touched $60k ($59,390) as a result we have seen decent progress in other altcoins as well. Either this is a breakout point wherein bitcoin will proceed towards new ATH or a bull trap but I don't think it would be a bull trap as market just went through correction phase. What's your opinion on bitcoin at the moment?

I think that it was clear now that it was a bull trap.

The $60k resistance was definitely quite strong and by the looks of it, we won't be breaching that level in the near term future.

Right now we have to look to the SA COVID situation - the risk-asset sell off is occurring everywhere.
506  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you manage Bitcoin price now on: November 26, 2021, 08:36:25 PM
I will say the market has no direction now and so far we have seen a new ATH even if this is the highest Bitcoin can go for the year it's still a good profit for patient holders. To you how would you manage the price of Bitcoin now will you still risk the market or patiently wait for a new break-out on either side of the trend?

The market is predominantly moving sideways.

I personally think that we will continue to move within this $50-60k corridor for a while. I don't see a bullish breakout any time soon as $60k has been tested numerous times and has proven to be a very strong resistance level.

We will likely go and test support at $50k soon. I'm confident that this level will hold up though, because there are a ton of institutional buyers ready to snap up cheap coins.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 26, 2021, 07:52:26 PM
We have an early game today: Los Angeles Clippers v Detroit Pistons. LA Clippers are a good team when we consider their current condition this season. But they haven't been very impressive lately as they lost three times in the last four weeks. But Pistons are far worse than them now. They lost 14 of their 18 games so far. They are really terrible and they will search for a way out in this game. Batum and Leonard are absent at Clippers. But I think they can still make use of Pistons' current condition and win it.

Yeah, great to have an early game.

I'll take the Clippers for this one any day of the week. They really have come together over the past ten games and made a name for themselves as a blue collar team even without the presence of Kawhi, which is certainly very impressive.

PG13 is also playing at an MVP level, which is definitely a huge bonus to the team.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 Vs 2021 on: November 26, 2021, 07:14:46 PM
For all those preparing for the last bull run cycle what makes you think that things will work out exactly as that of 2017? Many are expecting bear market in 1st quarter of 2022 if there is anything that have surprised me since stock was a thing in my life it's cryptocurrency, things might work out differently this time

Don't try to time the market. Simply not going to work.

Fact of the matter is that we are probably going to see an adjustment in the alt market soon, but no one knows exactly when. But bitcoin dominance is very low and the market cap of alts have absolutely exploded over the past year, so we are certainly due for a correction.

The difference now is that there is a whole lot more institutional adoption especially on chains like ETH, so make sure that you hold tight to your coins and don't weak-hands it.
509  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0,0035 Bitcoin loan on: November 26, 2021, 07:00:36 PM
Problem with the freebitco.in account is that it can be easily reversed/recovered by using your recovery email. There is no point of escrowing this basically unless you are willing to also escrow the email alongside it, and even then it is a bit iffy.

Have you looked into BNPL options for this purchase? They generally do not need any credit verification and most are able to grant you upwards of $500 credit for buying from stores.
510  Economy / Economics / Re: New COVID strain may affect crypto valuation on: November 26, 2021, 06:55:03 PM
Lots of fear mongering.

I don't see how the news has anything to do with crypto valuation at all and it just seems a bit strange that BTC, which is an uncorrelated asset to most other stocks, would dump harder than even the travel sector stocks

Oh well, more time to buy up the dip Smiley
511  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there any change that protect crypto from fractional reserve style stuff? on: November 25, 2021, 11:14:49 PM
If enough people do things on-chain, then fractional reserve would obviously be eliminated.

Unfortunately it will continue to happen. A lot of projects that centralize things (e.g. Tether) tend to evolve into bank-style fractional reserves as a matter of time.

Make sure that your coins are on-chain at all times and you control the keys to your coin, and you will be good.
512  Economy / Economics / Re: Can civilization revert to a barter system on: November 25, 2021, 09:58:59 PM
Not really.

I don't think that the problem is with currencies per se. Decentralized cryptos and precious metals are excellent stores of value and much more convenient than barter.

Barter is an archaic system. It could work on small scales but price discovery and liquidity would simply be way too backwards for it to actually work on a large scale.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Race to $1000, which one would hit first? SOL or BNB? on: November 25, 2021, 07:53:08 PM
Definitely BNB.

Most of the new projects are launching on BNB whereas SOL is still relatively new.

Plus, BNB has both centralized and decentralized capabilities which SOL definitely does not have. The fact that there is a large corporation backing the price of the token definitely helps.

Quote
Klay can easily adopt and adjust. Remember when KD transferred to them, he gave the offense to KD and focus on his defense.

he's a deadly shooter which is always capable of hitting his shot while working more with stopping any stars from the opposing team.

The very best from Klay is just like having Pippen beside you. If the team needed him to score, he was just there to provide. It's very good news for everyone, especially to all the Dub fans. Looking forward to how many wins will be added to GSW after Klay's arrival.

Completely agree with this sentiment.

Klay will have absolutely no trouble adjusting to the team. He can play off-ball and isn't ball dominant like Kyrie or Harden.

In fact, his very best performances came without a lot of dribbles... As I'm sure a lot of people know.
515  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this a clear sign of high inflation? on: November 25, 2021, 08:23:16 AM
Not really?

The stock market does have some correlation with inflation, but it is not the best inflation proof asset.

Why not just look at the inflation rate instead of trying to proxy it through some other metric? It's not hard to see that inflation is high, way above what central banks are targeting.
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 24, 2021, 10:59:41 PM
I read some articles that DeRozan is already ranked at number 3.

The ranking was

1. Curry,
2. Durant
3. DeRozan

What do you think about this, is it reliable based on the stats of DeRozan and the impact on the team?
I like to get your thoughts on this as I would try to put a bet on DeRozan to win.

Even though the Bulls are good, they are not as great as KD or Steph's teams.

DeRozan also does not come close in terms of his impact on the court compared to those two players.

He is definitely top 5 in the MVP discussion but I think that the Bulls are thriving because of LaVine as much as this is a result of DeRozan's individual efforts.
517  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador develops further its bitcoin strategy on: November 24, 2021, 12:36:31 AM
Anyone else feel like this is the El Salvadorian government attempting to do a cash grab?

Use the hype that bitcoin adoption has generated, then go to the actual end goal which is to raise funds for their sovereign debt which were always risky but people now view as somehow safer than a lot of better debtor countries.

Just my thoughts.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: November 23, 2021, 06:12:49 PM
It's all a game of volatility and EV.

A lot of the short term gains/losses that you see in gambling is the variance of the game playing tricks. But in the long run, your return profile will certainly return to what the actual EV of the game is.

Given that games are generally -EV, it makes sense that you would lose more often in the long run. That's for sure.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 23, 2021, 05:24:10 PM
The Brooklyn Nets haw won their game today and that will make them gain the number one seed in the eastern conference right now without Uncle Drew. looks like everything is easy for them when they work together as a team with James Harden and the others.

I wouldn't say that it is "easy".

It's a very small sample size to be saying that they don't need Kyrie, and the absence of Kyrie is almost certainly going to come back to haunt them later on during the playoffs.

The Bulls are right there with them in the East as well.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting superstitions. on: November 23, 2021, 06:41:57 AM
All the usual nonsense.

But this is what makes betting fun, right? The fact that you feel like you have some sort of control over the outcomes, when in reality nothing is further from the truth.

If you are a serious gambler you should play with rationality and reject all of the things mentioned in the OP.
