5182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XNC] XenCoin | Instant | Stable | Long term Support - New UPDATE!!! on: July 26, 2014, 02:35:09 AM
thecarnie - I got a VPS farm ready to go online.

Do you think its worth using the existing wallet, my build with checkpoints up to approx 860k or yours?

Cheers boss.

I pulled your checkpoints into the source tree and that's what my current QT and linux wallet are running with.  I had a hiccup with the seeder that reset my peercache and so my  two wallets and most likely some others out there were having a hard time staying connected.  I'll know more with the other updates and once I clean out some more loose ends in the QT portion of the wallet.

I also am going to need to get some testers out there with the new QT wallet once I get a beta online.  So far, compiled with QT-5.2.1 and Boost 1.55 (mingw64-4.8-GCC) it is stable but I'm noticing some network quirks that might be related to an LTC issue they were having as well.  More on that when I pinpoint the issue Smiley

I'll test it out when you have something ready.

BitcoinDark by xpool - The Official BTCD Multipool

PROP reward system
BTCD Payouts
Scrypt & SHA256 & X11 Algo's
DDoS Protected
High Performance Backend
Simple setup and usage
1% Fee
To mine:

How does it work?

xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift (see below). The confirmed coins are traded on the top 4 exchanges throughout the duration of the shift automatically to maximize the profits by exchanging them into BTCD and creating buy pressure in the BTCD markets! Once the shift ends, the shift is moved into "Confirming" status while all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the BTCD payments are sent.

Current shifts run 24 hours, Monday - Friday and end at 7PM Eastern each day except Saturday & Sunday. The weekend shift ends on the Monday. Payments are then finialized and typically complete 2-3 hours after a shift ends.

The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your any GPU, CPU and older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired BitcoinDark.
Cheers and Happy Hashing!

Earn your own DRK coins by mining at the multipool. Not only that, you can earn DRK using your old ASIC hardware on SHA256 and SCRYPT coins!

DarkCoin by xpool - DRK Multipool

PROP reward system
DRK Payouts
Scrypt & SHA256 & X11 Algo's

High Performance Backend
Simple setup and usage
0% Fees while in BETA
To mine:

How does it work?

xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift. Shifts end On Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 7am Eastern. The confirmed coins are traded throughout the duration of the shifts automatically to maximize the profits from exchanging them into DRK. Once enough confirmed blocks are accumulated, the shift is moved into "Confirming" status. Once all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the DRK payments are sent.

As the pool picks up more hashing speed and sufficient DRK can be picked up from the exchanges, the shifts schedule and payouts will be more frequent. This is a growing phase so the more hash support the better.
If a DRK block is found, there's no exchanging or loss of fees as it can simply be moved into the X11 payout queue.

The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired DarkCoin.
Cheers and Happy Hashing!

Donations welcome!

The latest shift payments have finished. Over 52 DRK sent out to miners on all 3 algos!

Does anybody know how often you can query each exchanges API without getting blacklisted?

for the following exchanges
#define BITTREX_FEEDID 0xfeed0001L
#define CRYPTSY_FEEDID 0xfeed0002L
#define POLONIEX_FEEDID 0xfeed0003L
#define MINTPAL_FEEDID 0xfeed0004L
#define BTER_FEEDID 0xfeed0005L

dont want to blast out too many queries, but also dont want it to be updating once per minute either

I got some HTML help and now have graphic updating every second, which is plenty fast. Just a test loop, no actual data yet, that's for this weekend

James

Not sure about each exchange, but I did recently find out that MintPal is 10 queries a second.

Would anyone like to participate in a push to get onto another exchange?  Mintpal, Bittrex, or Ccex would be great Smiley

They need to standardize their ticker symbol before it's going to get listed anywhere. Of the exchanges it was listed on in the past, the ticker symbols were all different. P$ just won't fly programmatically wise.

i'd love to see a multipool thinking with buy walls instead of buying blind.

every shift would give you btc that you usually convert to btcd intantly to pay the miners.

what if the pool take those btc and put a wall xx% (say 25%) under market rate (so we would need a formula to define better how to put those walls)

the pool would tell you your btc balance (in pending orders). If the pool have a big hashrate at some point we would need to buy a % directly and keep that wall creation over time.

example :

the pool is making 1btc per day. We say that a decent wall is x% of orderbook total.

orderbook is 100btc so for 5 days we would be all stacking up bitcoins on the pool; on day 5 we have 5btc; and the market rate is 0.0015.

0.0015 - 25% = 0,001125; so we put our first wall at that rate.

it should be relatively simple to automate that using api i imagine (i'm bad with tech sorry) so if market rate goes to 0.0016 wall would be 0.0012; what's over the defined rate of x% total orderbook; we buy directly.

for transparency the pool would have to show pending orders (api call = ez ?) instead of standard payout.

order may be not filled fast; but it would help the price going up.

i'd mine on that kind of pool; tbh i'm only mining now to help the price because i'm holding some btcd; but i will run soon just because it's always less profitable to mine on multipools than to trade yourself.

we could obv beta test on a dedicated port; so miners don't feel screwed if they don't like the ideas.

now gimme feedback plz  Smiley

http://btcd.xpool.ca already puts it's BTCD orders in under the market value. Why pay more when ya don't have to Wink Now that the shifts are defined and set to regular intervals, coins exchanged earlier in the shift are placed the furtherest under market value, while coins exchanging near the end of the shift are closer to market value. I am looking into more sophisticated trading strategies so will bring this to the table, as currently the buys are not stacked up on a specific wall as you're suggesting. The problem is, miners are so skittish, the moment they think something is not right the pull away and go somewhere else, so currently the shifts and exchanging is designed to ensure payments are completed as soon as possible after the shift ends.

Its a good coin but it has gone up a hell of a lot.. SFR is 1 /20th the mkt cap of BTCD so the hot money is going there now, as its much easier for it to increase in price than BTCD... Usually once you get a 60 - 70% fall from the peak you will start to move up again.
safron is just another huge cartel dump of a pre/flash/insta mine, in my opinion..

I had to run from your pool; too much rejects (i was not alone; had some friends too; we all run); while xpool is doing better (but had lot of rejects two days ago; maybe was it down for a while i didn't checked). sorry bro; really. (xpool i have 2.9% rejected shares and about 8% on your pool yesterday)

Thanks for the support on http://btcd.xpool.ca guys. I've been watching the traffic closely and have made changes last week to my stratum code to minimize rejects. Happy to see you report it's doing pretty good.

Cheers!

darn, also looks like Cryptsy has the wallet offline.

I've got a ticket open with Cryptsy at the moment and got this e-mail yesterday 'Our technical team has placed the XNC wallet under maintenance.  I will update you soon as it is back online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.'

Hopefully their on it - I've got several transactions that haven't made it through to them!

Depending on when you talk to them next, you can let them know of the xenseed.liquidbbs.org as an addnode so they can start finding peers.  They'll need to update their wallet soon when post the 'release' tag on the source because the next round of updates after this one will start rejecting old wallets after we've run these new ones for a little while.  This way we can stop getting the pollution from the old clients as well as start moving forward on our proposed updates to the coin for the long-term...

I've had the seeder running, but not sure it's getting much:

Are there any XenCoin accepting sites at this moment? Is there an overview somewhere?
Except for the exchanges, obviously :-)

@thecarnie: Keep up the good work. Nice to see there is active development on this coin!

The only summary information available at this moment is on the first page of this topic.  The coin was pump and dumped by the original dev, and it has a huge premine sitting around that we haven't been able to trace just yet.

I'm fighting the QT libraries at the moment to get a new set of clients built and released for now - while I finish bringing the rest of the updates and fixes into the client from the other coins -- Once we get the client re-released with new SSL and checkpoints, we're going to try to offer some bounties to get some more places to accept it for use.  I'm also working out a couple other ideas in the back of my head for usage as well -- if you have any ideas, feel free to add to this topic until we get the new one and forums online on it's own site Smiley

MAKE YOUR SHITS WITH ANOTHER COIN!!!

Well you just freed up a bunch of my time.  Fuck you too.  You can say what ever you want.  Your actions and your treatment of this coin, and it's supporters with that post I guarantee just got you a coin worth jack shit.  I hope it drops to 0 now and gets dumped from the exchanges.

Peace out guys...  I'm done here.  I've vested too much time for a response like that.

We need more multipools for this coin pointed miners over but would be nice for some multipool to buy on the fly auto no manul payouts on shifts

I don't think we need more, we just need more support on the ones that are doing this already. My pool it automated and trades and buys throughout the complete shift, and then payments are sent. Nothing is stored, no one has accounts. No such thing as manual payouts.

is the compiling issue addressed as well? 2 people have reported issues with that.

It is probably missing this:

Code:
chmod +x src/leveldb/build_detect_platform

I'm rebuild all now and see if works

edit: yes, now it is compiled

perhaps you need to look at the errors that were posted.

Doesn't matter anyway, since their last update it's crashes even sooner. Can't really understand how these dev's keep anything going or even got the wallet to a point to actually launch this coin.

I'll just be dropping the coin off my pools, which I'm sure they won't care anyway since it all get dumped anyway.

In case they're curious, with a fresh clone of their github:

PPC chain is 1/2 way synced.
I think we'll be the second multipool other than multipool.us to ever hit PPC directly.
if we could bring back the petahash of SHA power once we''re on PPC we can absolutely smash through some blocks and make some good buy pressure

we have it on ours too Wink
