Since segwit has been activated on BTC I noticed that the transition bot doesn't work with the new segwit addresses. If you try to use a segwit generated address you get this message "Only P2PKH addresses are supported". Are there any plans to address this issue?

Thanks for that. Rather spooky that you just got the mail just as I ask the question. Such is the speed of the digital age :-) On a side note, if anyone is receiving the byteball airdrops then the transition bot doesn't work with the new segwit addresses, at least not yet. Not sure if there are any plans to incorporate this in the future though.

Now that segwit has been activated does anyone know if those of us with a ledger nano s need to do anything to start using the new segwit addresses? If so, how does one go about generating the addresses?

The vid looks good. However, whilst explaining how the traffic is relayed between the nodes the mouse was being circled around the incorrect node so was a bit confusing at from around 3 minutes till at about 5 mins in. But still an informative video. Thanks.

I've got a strange problem. My deeponion signature has disappeared. Maybe it has something to do of me becoming sr. member? I've updated my signature, according to the requirements but I still can't see the signature...
I can see your signature just fine. Signature visibility can be disabled in your profile though so that you don't see ANY signatures. There are also some threads on this forum where signatures are not visible (such as the Wall Observer thread). Speaking of signature, when we rank up are we required to change signature immediately and does it affect your rate also? If you change signature, there would be no problem like you'll be out in the campaign since it's automated? I believe that it is a requirement to ensure that you are displaying the correct Sig according to your rank and that failure to do so could result in a ban? Not sure of the timescales though on this.

Been working on a payment button. This is a very rough draft of a payment button. I'm looking for some community input.. Do you like it or hate it? What does it need. Be honest you will not hurt my feelings BTW The QR code is real it's one of my addresses.. This looks pretty good although might I suggest that you somehow get the Deeponion logo a little more centralised? Is there a standardised colour scheme for deepeonion? If so should we be leaning towards that? QR code is a nice touch.

My good. Havent been here 2 days and i have so much material to read... I feel like im student again and have to read and learn for test. Nevermind we are 2 days from next airdrop. Hope all prepared and ready. Also staking is working fine today... What happend? Let the force be with us all Same here man, I had a severe case of food poisoning. Glad to have made it out; wasn't really in the mood to post, even though I did. Such is love for deeponion: even post between a throw-up and a ....... (spare you details) Here's hoping you are feeling better. Did you eat any bad onions? Sorry couldn't resist. There are no such things as bad onions!

Did anyone participate in the distribution of the Byteball?
There are still opinions about the prospects?
Will there be a damp after September 6?
Personally I am not worried at all about "pumps & dumps" of this coin. It's market cap currently sits around $180,000,000 (37th place) way below far inferior coins. With it's disruptive technology and quality of development this should be ranked way higher. In fact, according to the Fundamentals Index which calculates the value of each altcoin (taking into account the available supply of coins in relation with Bitcoin's supply) - Byteball should be worth 36.39K% higher then it currently is: 1 GBYTE price should be 31.38733145 BTC (source: http://cryptoindexes.com/fundamentals ) This is a long term hodl !!! What stats say and what the market chooses to do are two entirely different things. I am holding though :-)

Just back home. Bought the dip again ($3610USD). This time the atm fee was -3.4%. They actually paid me to buy their coins. Amazing. Jimbo, really interested to know which company is running this and if it is a 2-way (buy btc or sell and get fiat)? We had a proposition back in the day that you could run a network of these BTM things without ever having to manually load/extract fiat. This would greatly reduce labour costs, what was needed was an algo that could use dynamic pricing/fees that would incentivise people to buy in some areas of the network and sell in other parts so it was overall balanced fiat-wise ... if a guy was savvy enough he could use a fast motorbike or scooter and run around pulling fiat out in some BTM locations and stuffing it back in others and make a bit of cash/btc out of it. Essentially guys like this would be incentivised to do the labour of people going around loading/unloading fiat from the BTMs ... of course the btc can be shifted around by the network algo. Isn't this just the same as having slightly higher fees throughout and then paying someone to load btms? In fact, if you had someone loading btms based on incentives then they would cherry pick the best returns and you may find that some machines wouldn't get serviced at all.

If there was a significant switch of hashrate from BTC to 2x or bch such that it caused BTC to stall for a significant time, couldn't core implement something similar to bch where the diff adjusted down quicker to compensate? If so shouldn't they be thinking of that now just in case this scenario plays out? Or is this unacceptable for some reason?
That would require another hard fork. Then we'd end up with four Bitcoins to play with. How are improvements/changes made to BTC without hard forking? Are there certain criteria set in stone that cannot be altered without forking? I guess tinkering with the diff retargeting is one of them. Is there something I can read to help me understand what can and can't be changed without a fork so I can stop asking stupid questions on the forum 😊?

Own a little. Have been accumulating slowly since late 2013. Also have a little Gbyte and Deeponion.

I am not sure about the rule regarding batch posting. If the requirement is to post at least 10 posts a week then it shouldn't matter when those posts are created. If this is an issue for the Dev then he/she/they should have set the requirement as at least 2 posts per day rather than 10 posts a week. Some folks don't spend every day on this forum and might only be able to access this forum maybe once or twice in the week. Since they don't want to miss out on the airdrop they make several posts at once. Don't get me wrong, I think this coin has a bright future but the way the rules keep morphing makes me uneasy. Hope I don't get banned for this!

Received my 4th airdrop without issues. Thanks again. Looks like this coin is creating quite a stir.

Is that Ver on stamp with a 100BTC sell at 4060?
Hope so. I watched several 100+ BTC walls get eaten on Bitfinex about 8 hours ago for cheap. If it Ver, the sooner he can dispose of his large BTC stash and convert to BCH, the better. Good riddance! At least Ver isn't trying to just dump all his BTC in one fell swoop. (If it is Ver.) How many does he own? At least 60 000. Sh!t!

He wants to dump BCH to pay off a mortgage, so presumably 100 BCH or more => fiat.
Yeah, wanna dump BCH to straight fiat. Set 40% aside for taxes, pay off a mortgage, buy a new SUV, and an investment property with the other 60% fiat. What a lovely dilemma to have. Well you can at least dump to BCT first then worry about withdrawing to FIAT later. In fact can you actually trade BCH for FIAT without going through BCT first? Although I have been around the scene a while I am not used to dealing with these sorts of numbers so please go easy on me if they are naive questions! edit: just read a few posts up that Kraken is now trading BCH for fiat!
