521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 23, 2021, 05:46:43 AM
I do agree that Lebron is not a dirty player. And in this situation, it seems that he didn't intentionally try to throw that elbow on Stewart. They are all jockeying for position and no one want's to give up and perhaps James is trying to regain control and accidentally throw the elbow to Stewart face. And as per report, he will be suspended one game without pay.
I also agree with that but 2 games suspension for Isaiah Stewart? What is that supposed to mean? Analysts telling it should be like that to teach them a lesson not to overreact? These guys need to be punched in the face and let's see if they will react to it or not? It's a human thing and these men have high testosterone that will react quickly.
Lebron didn't intentionally hurt him but obviously, that is above the shoulder which is illegal and how he pulled his arm is different, there is a force in it like a +1.
They used a track record to decide and Lebron is clean and Stewart is not. Wow. Like he is the one who hit his face to Lebron's elbow.

Agreed.

Regardless of intent, I think that Lebron should be serving the same length suspension as Isaiah Stewart. Stewart had every right to defend himself after that hit, especially looking at the volume of blood that came out of him.

Besides, that hit did not look unintentional to me.
522  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far will Bitcoin price correct? on: November 19, 2021, 09:50:29 PM
With fear beginning to creep into the market after closing the day below $57K, the lowest price in over a month, do you think the bottom is now in or that price will go lower?

While most speculators don't appear to think the bull market is over, many still think price may still go lower. But how low do you think Bitcoin will go before reversing?

Not much further imho.

Prices are stabilising at this level of $57k, which means that support is likely forming.

I don't see BTC prices going down below $50k as some people seem to be the case. The recent mainstream media coverage have been absolutely huge in catalyzing this support, as there are plenty of dip buyers.
523  Economy / Economics / Re: Investors Spent Millions on 'Evolved Apes' NFTs. Then They Got Scammed on: November 19, 2021, 09:14:20 PM
Oh, I can name so many NFT scams like these.

One recent one actually involved someone miscoding the smart contract and every single person who tried to mint it got hit with exorbitant gas fees and at the end they all failed.

It's truly a mania that we are in with NFTs. Not sustainable.
524  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: November 19, 2021, 08:56:10 PM
And why would they challenge the government?

That would be biting the hand that feeds them. Remember that the government is who gives them funding and cheap credit for them to be profitable in the first place.

To answer your question, no. There isn't a way for fiat banks to oppose governmental rulings, because they are regulated by exactly the government.

It's now Curry - 1st, Durant - 2nd, Giannis - 3rd, Jokic - 4th, Doncic - 5th.
A big change from what was expected before the season starts where Luka Doncic was on the top. But I am still waiting for the Luka Magic. He is still there and may need to just step up his game a little bit when he comes back from his ankle injury. Average of triple-double with his points at 20-30 per game. Although, if he really wants to win the Season MVP race, he will need more than that. Because Curry is trying to lengthen the gap between them with his monster games.

Unless Steph gets injured, I don't see him stepping down from that 1st place.

I think that whilst Doncic is still doing really well with the Mavs, their record is just incomparable to the Warriors.

Plus, Doncic is actually averaging less points in this season than his overall career, which is definitely strange.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to win at roulette? on: November 19, 2021, 08:25:01 PM
Quite a large House Edge at roulette. Even using different manipulations with bankroll management, you will still lose it.
We draw a simple conclusion - there are no working strategies for roulette, only luck on a short distance and stop playing it.

Exactly.

Perhaps the only strategy that you can take is to be the house by investing in the bankroll, lol.

But roulette is one of these games that is all luck and no skill. And the odds are always stacked against you - make sure that you don't play American roulette with double zeroes.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Shiba INU tokens continue to rise? on: November 19, 2021, 07:07:38 AM
No.

And what is ridiculous is that this has been getting more media coverage than bitcoin recently.

SHIB has no long term future, nor does Dogecoin, no matter how you look at it. They don't have utility and the value right now is purely derived from the hype element which will likely fade away as the bull market comes to an end.
Some people is aware of the hype circling around it but its not really bad to take advantage on such condition because you could really actually make profits if you do know on how to ride with the waves and not totally opposing it but you should really be careful.

When it comes to real use case or utility then its true that i dont really see something revolutionary which you could really say
that this is driven only with hype.

So better to be wary on each actions you do make.

Yeah.

People have become accustomed to using the term "utility" as some sort of buzzword.

SHIB does not have any utility whatsoever, so I don't know why people think that just because there are some organized initiatives by the SHIB foundation that all of a sudden it has intrinsic value.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Adult Entertainment Coins the next thing? on: November 19, 2021, 06:45:09 AM
Doesn't make sense.

People could just use XMR or ZEC if they are concerned about privacy.

The utility of these coins are going to be too narrow for there to be any substantial value from its utility imho. And they likely will be tokens based on existing blockchains.
529  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if $70k was Bitcoin ATH for the year? on: November 18, 2021, 10:43:29 PM
Will you be satisfied if 2021  ends with an ATH of $70k for Bitcoin. Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.
Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment

So what?

It doesn't matter at all for me as I am holding BTC for the long term.

I couldn't care less where BTC price is a day, a month, heck even a year from now. I am holding BTC purely as a hedge against an imminent fiat collapse, and in the case that crypto becomes the primary vehicle for people to store their wealth in.
530  Economy / Economics / Re: US could run out of cash as soon as Dec. 15, Janet Yellen warns on: November 18, 2021, 10:19:43 PM
It is a bunch of theatrics for sure.

I doubt that this will actually transpire into anything meaningful.

They will eventually raise the debt ceiling because everyone understands what is at stake for the U.S. based fiat currency system if it doesn't happen. But it'll certainly happen slowly, and contingent on demands from both sides.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First decentralized Gambling Platform? on: November 18, 2021, 08:32:09 PM
Quote
The trio will offer a fully decentralised protocol built on the public blockchain, Solana, providing customers with fast and low-cost trades. It will allow third parties to build their own innovations and applications on top of the platform

Why would anyone use this?

For small amounts, the hassle of setting this system up is going to too great for players.

For big amounts, I doubt that decentralized marketplaces at this point have enough liquidity to even facilitate big bets. So whales wouldn't have any impetus to use this either.

Don't see this going anywhere.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bovada removing bitcoin as payment option on: November 18, 2021, 01:15:22 AM
They're not removing bitcoin, it seems like they're just removing the "mBTC" denomination, they're still taking bitcoin deposits and withdrawals here's a thread posted on their subreddit.

I have to say that the announcement is indeed confusing as other users also thought bovada stopped accepting bitcoin.

Importantly though I think they are taking away the option to wager in native BTC denomination.

This is still very disheartening because this means that BTC is reduced down to a means of transaction and not an actual unit of account on their site.

Not the best move given that crypto enthusiasts now price most things in terms of a native crypto denomination and not fiat.
533  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we witness year end bullrun or bull trap? on: November 18, 2021, 12:15:54 AM
I think that we've probably already seen the top for this bull run.

We'll likely hover around the $60k level for a while, but after the consolidation I am expecting further adjustments downwards.

This is not to say that you should dump all your coins and buy back later - the short term crypto market is as volatile as any market gets. Just be prepared to have some liquidity on hand to DCA if a large dip does occur.
534  Economy / Gambling / Re: LTC Casino (ltccasino.com) - most fair crypto casino with highest RTP on: November 17, 2021, 11:22:56 PM
I like the site design.

But I agree that it is a bit strange why you would call yourself LTC Casino and then go on and accept pretty much all cryptos. And people will probably use other cryptos more than they use your LTC betting to be honest.

Your brand identity should not revolve around one particular coin. That's my two cents. Good on you for maximising RTPs though.
535  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon stops Visa payments on "too high fees" argument (UK) on: November 17, 2021, 10:53:21 PM
This is very interesting.

I don't think that it's necessarily a signal to move towards bitcoin, because if that was the case, then why would they allow Mastercard and AMEX to stay onboard among other payment processors?

Seems a bit targeted towards VISA to me, and probably why VISA stocks dropped by 5% today.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 17, 2021, 10:23:41 PM
So much respect for Curry from Durant after the Warriors made a statement by dominating the Nets.

I like the sportsmanship from Durant as he showed a friendly competition, besides they are both great players but Curry is just better in that game.

Yeah, I think that it is clear that the Warriors are going to be the team to beat in the playoffs.

Even with the stacked Nets team if they can't get their stuff together in terms of teamwork, their roster simply isn't going to work.

If the only time they can buy a bucket is if KD or Harden isolates, they are not going to make it deep into the playoffs at all.
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bovada removing bitcoin as payment option on: November 17, 2021, 09:05:29 PM
Makes no sense whatsoever.

Why ban BTC but not ETH? Onchain fees are now way higher with the crazy ETH gas prices.

I don't understand this move. They clearly want to take advantage of the move of most of the gambling industry towards crypto payments but this is just mind-boggling.
538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nebraska, Gambling might be too expensive for casinos on: November 16, 2021, 10:43:55 PM
Ugh, when can governments actually start to appreciate that they need to regulate casinos in a positive way?

This is the opposite of that.

You're essentially establishing a monopoly in the operation of casinos because probably only one or two casinos can afford the basic licensing fees. Which is exactly what we don't want in terms of competition.
539  Economy / Lending / Re: BITCOIN LOANS - LOW INTEREST - COLLATERAL NOT REQUIRED - STARTING AT $5 on: November 16, 2021, 10:05:07 PM
Are these interest rates per day/week/month/year?

Also, I suggest that you think about the people who would actually need loans <$50. Why would they even borrow from you instead of using a credit card/BNPL?

A reminder also that 7% per day late fees equates to an effective 5309808459800% APY. Roll Eyes
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where is BNB going!!! on: November 16, 2021, 09:56:38 PM
I think that their strategic focus has to shift from their centralized exchange to their smart chain in order for their product to survive.

There are just too much red tapes surrounding their central exchange for it to survive much longer in the long run without restrictive KYC.

Instead, BSC is a viable alternative to ETH which is absolutely huge given the high gas fees.
