521  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I received 0.00318 USDT on Binance on: August 18, 2020, 04:53:54 PM
Could this be a case, therefore, of a dusting attack?
Not sure if dusting attacks works the same on Ethereum/Tron, but it's the only feasible reason I think.
If that would be the case, then it would be better to not move that small amount of USDT to another address.
It doesn't matter whether it's a dust attack or not. The address belongs to Binance and it's not going to do any harm of me even if it is a dust attack. No worries from that side but still I'm confused why anyone would send such low amount. It seems I have to contact with Binance support soon.

Its just a phishing attack, I had seen lot of emails like these with the name of different exchanges to the emails which I never used to register on that exchange, so its like someone got a database and tried to do phishing with mail like these.

Is that your balance actually filled with that amount?
I didn't log in my exchange yet but have checked the mail address. It's same as of the binance address, I have checked with previous mail and both are same.
522  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TOPBTC.one Withdrawal help ... PLEASE URGENT... Any idea is welcomed on: August 18, 2020, 03:05:25 AM
Yes i know i had to research but when i checked on CMC i saw almost 600m $ volume i didn't expect that they will scamm me , i contacted them by Email , telegram , skype, still nowhere a reply from support team , i really dont know what to do , this was my last money im a student got no incomes yet .
Volume can be faked anytime, so that shouldn't be a metric to consider which is good or bad. TopBTC exchange isn't a so known exchange and it's possible that they are scamming. Can you share how much your asset worth?
523  Economy / Service Discussion / I received 0.00318 USDT on Binance on: August 18, 2020, 01:30:50 AM
This morning is really a surprising one. I just have got a notification on my email that I have deposited 0.00318 USDT in my Binance account. After some research, I got two possible reasons-
1. Someone mistakenly sent (Not possible because I never have used USDT on Binance, at least for deposit. I am sure that I have never checked that address ever.
2. Any staking or holding rewards. But how can this be true when I have nothing left in my exchange account? Moreover, I never had participated any exchange's staking program.

What possible reason can be this? If the amount was bigger, I would say someone mistakenly sent. But now, I can't find any reason of this.

524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain sending limit ? on: August 17, 2020, 05:10:29 PM
Try to use regular fee although the fee is too high at the moment. If you use priority fee, the fee will always be high. Lately, blockchain.com wallet isn't that convenient as above said. You should use electrum if possible.
Please move the thread to web wallet section.
525  Other / Meta / Re: [suggestion][userscript] show user summary when click on the username on: August 17, 2020, 08:38:43 AM
Based on what "theymos" mentioned before [couldn't find that exact post], making small changes require tweaks in larger scales in order to ensure everything works properly and since this suggestion isn't solving an ongoing issue, I can't see this getting implemented anytime soon...
Someone from the forum can develop such an script easily. Why would forum have to implement this? It's not much of necessary although it would be good to have such option. Mostly it would a benefit for the campaign manager. There are some good users on the forum who play with forum things. I think they can develop a script.
526  Economy / Economics / Re: Bangladesh Government Comparing Gaming with Gambling and Cryptocurrency on: August 16, 2020, 04:43:23 PM
It ia because of the first one- payments related to casinos/gambling, which was frowned upon long ago. All the gambling sites were banned by Mostofa Zabbar, nettelar, skrill was also banned for this reason. This has nothing to do with crypto I think although I believe that all that guys including Mostofa Zabbar are fucking retards. They don't have common sense that they can only create a false sense of banning them while it's impossible to stop gambling, it's impossible to stop crypto transactions.
527  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is blockchair down? on: August 16, 2020, 01:45:59 PM
It's unlikely that you had problem with your IP. I doubt a specific IP would be blocked by blockchair for any reason. Have you tried clearing your browser cache? I think that would work. Couple of days ago, I had the same problem with blockchain.com too and after clearing cache, everything worked fine.
528  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Proof of the ownership of BitCoins during a Divorce on: August 16, 2020, 01:18:53 PM
First of all, you made a great mistake by not having access to the fund. For your info, there is option for a multisignature wallet where both party (you and your husband) would be equally rightful to use the fund.
Do you know where your husband stored the crypto? Try to get his wallet and take a screenshot or record a video. Having access to portfolio mean nothing as said above. No one will buy that story.
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea and Australia, they are bitcoin pro on: August 16, 2020, 01:01:52 PM
I heard that South Korea has too high fees on crypto.
Fees never depend on any country. It depends on bitcoin network itself. If there are a lot of tx happening each day, the fee will be increased. Can you share more details on which fees you are talking about?
530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is SegWit and LN adoption still low today? on: August 15, 2020, 01:24:39 PM
1st reason- Most of the people still use centralized custodial wallet service and they don't know what segwit is and what's the benefit of using segwit.
2nd- There is no promotion for segwit which doesn't make sense too as bitcoin had never any promotion. So a lot of people haven't heard about it yet.
3rd- Some services don't accept native segwit addresses for withdraw, as a result people using such service have to use Legacy or nested segwit which wasn't that easy to create some days ago.
531  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why yahoo62278 managing scam project ( bounty) on: August 15, 2020, 01:21:07 PM
I have never used currency.com, I have never seen any accusation on currency.com in the forum other than the one you linked which I can't read. If you are so cconfident that they are scam, create a scam accusation with sharing all the documents in the global scam accusation board. If they found scam, you will get many support against yahoo62278 and I think yahoo62278 will stop managing the campaign.
532  Other / Meta / Re: Free Advertising, YES or NO on: August 15, 2020, 01:02:16 PM
First, I would suggest you to move the thread to service discussion.
It's campaign managers choice how they want their applicants. I think it's easy way for them, otherwise, it may take long time to ensure everyone is wearing the signature and avatar. On the other hand, it's personal decision of every member how they want to apply. If they can't comply with the rules, they shouldn't apply at all and if everyone feels like it doesn't worth applying with wearing signature ad avatar, I think at some point, CM will be forced to allow users to apply without wearing signature and avatar.
533  Other / Meta / Re: A new thread in other languages section for buying/selling BTC on: August 15, 2020, 12:56:56 PM
If I understand correctly, the OP does not want to create an ICO thread that is forbidden. His thread is going to be about BTC - BDT exchange, which this rule does not mention ... So I don't see any rules shouldn't being broken here...
Yeah but hilariousandco was pointing that anyone trying to create another thread will be banned although I found this as a bad decision. Our local thread is self moderated one and if anyone isn't satisfied with a self moderated thread, they are free to create another thread of same topic. I'm not saying our local thread creator is manipulating the thread a lot (although I don't like some of his actions), it's anyones right to create a new thread if they don't want to be moderated by the thread creator. So, what's the point of banning people if they create another thread?
Little Mouse, discuss this directly with hilariousandco and I think they will allow you to create a topic. I understand your points.
534  Other / Meta / Re: [ETH] tag on: August 15, 2020, 12:51:31 PM
If theymos is to implement ETH tag, I guess there will be more people request to have another altcoin and thus, we will have a lot of tags. Better we keep up with bitcoin tag only as it's bitcointalk forum. I don't see any necessity too to have such altcoin tag.
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons Why am I adding as many Ethereum bags as possible? on: August 14, 2020, 01:35:13 PM
You shilling for ETH  Cheesy
It's unlikely that ETH would reach on such high unless BTC make an ATH IMO. For your info, ETH is already overpriced and one should stop buying in such range unless they are sure as of you who got a signal from ETH team  Grin Are you kidding on us?
536  Other / Meta / Re: Is your Bitcointalk password strong enough? on: August 14, 2020, 01:30:18 PM
So, my password is strong enough to not be bruteforced at least till I'm alive  Cheesy I used to use a significant number of characters in my password but that force me to reset my password once in a quarter on average.

Personally, if the companies I use their services don't force me to change my passwords each 3 or 6 months, I would not change my passwords.
I think 6 months is too long to change a password. You should be more frequently if it's related to financial activities.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap's New Feature "Earn" on: August 14, 2020, 01:24:32 PM
Do they require KYC? If so, I guess they won't get anyone to participate in their learn and earn program or will get very low amount of submission. I have checked the coinbase program long ago but since they require KYC, I gave up. Anyway, good to see the changes there.
538  Other / Meta / Re: Battling against scammers?? on: August 14, 2020, 01:13:31 PM
So we as users should be aware and keep always eyes open against them. Is anyone here trying to organize a taskforce to battle against scammers? I do believe it can help theymos a lot by just sharing info regarding on scammer and hackers activity in a thread. I hope so someone will make a thread for it.
Scam isn't moderated, so don't expect theymos to be involved in scam hunting by any way. Some good members are actively busting the scammer, you can check scam accusation board. You are free to do so too. Moreover, recently I have seen a project by LoyceV to detect scam or something related to that, I didn't pay close attention yet.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is FORSAGE a Ponzi scheme? on: August 14, 2020, 01:08:04 PM
It's a proven ponzi scam and you must stay away from this site. If you are interested in buying ETH as you said above, I think it's not good decision to buy at the moment as it seems too hyped already and it may crash. Better you wait for its price getting decreased.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Stable coin is the Best for Investment This Year on: August 11, 2020, 11:51:20 PM
So, did you like the article? What’s your take on stablecoins? Have you invested or used any stable coin? What do you think of it?
I didn't like because the article is biased. You have listed titan in no 2 because its your project while I think there are beter stable coins than yours. I think tether is the best and your project should be the last option for anyone wants to use stablecoin.
What did you mean by invest in stablecoin? Does it make any sense? It will have ROI like peanut only. But yeah I have used it for trading purpose. Converting BTC to stablecoin.
