521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BLK/BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: March 23, 2017, 09:02:33 PM
reasons i invested:

solid, stable and old blockchain
no premine, no ICO
fairly launched
the coin's code and idea (short duration POW, POS 3.0) is used later in some other coins after BLK
POS only (energy efficient)
first POS 3.0

Thank you! Now that you are saying, I have to admit I should take its fair launch into account too. I think, this coin has a good and clean reputation, which is rare among alt coins.

But does this technology have a prominent future compared to others such as POW? Because to me, it seems for the major mining organizations getting energy cost-efficiently is not that big issue and people have these doubts about centralization time and time again related POS coins. Does BLK have the answers for these questions?
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain and Secure by design on: March 23, 2017, 08:45:14 PM
...
What makes a blockchain-type of DB more secure than the others?
...

The blockchain was designed for a specific purpose.
If you can determine the purpose, then you can answer your own question.

Comparing the blockchain to a type of database, is really the most basic layer of it.
See Wikipedia for their input: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain

I was said I could not base a serious research on Wikipedia. In my opinion, Wikipedia is nice and I have personally experienced how much effort/validation it takes to publish any text there, but I cannot help if the scientific society has doubts about it.

Could you suggest any professional article that compares the blockchain type of DB to the others?

Also, the question remains. How probably is it that there will be a more secure design than blockchain soon?
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Blockchain and Secure by design on: March 21, 2017, 07:59:29 PM
If I am right, blockchain is a DB design that follows the "Secure by Design" guideline.

But we know that in DB development, there is a wider range of possibilities that could be considered "secure".

What makes a blockchain-type of DB more secure than the others?

Will BTC always depend on a blockchain or there is a possibility to get it migrated into a better design?
524  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: For this project I need someone from Healthcare on: March 21, 2017, 07:53:57 PM
The biggest issue is I should prove that healthcare lacks proper security. More importantly, the fact that Patients recognise this situation and would like to have better information security on their data. Do you have any trusted article or quote that backs up the demand of security improvement in healthcare?

If you are a healthcare person or persona yourself, you could tell it with your own words, but in that case, you should send me your real name with your quote. Your real name will go into this research and will be visible. So take care please!

However, it would be much much help to me.
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EMC] EmerCoin — Innovative blockchain services! ( PoW&PoS - SHA-256) on: March 19, 2017, 08:12:37 PM
Ok. If you have any questions you would like, ask them publicly here or mail support@emercoin.com

Let us start with blockchain security. If you had to explain someone, who is a total newbie in blockchain technologies and so skeptical, how data is secure and anonim in EMC blockchain, what would you do? You could send models and pictures, too.

I have written a part that explains blockchain databases already, but the readers of this research most likely will be people who are not crypto holders themselves. Probably, they will have doubts whether such a blockchain DB is really secure.
526  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: For this project I need someone from Healthcare on: March 19, 2017, 08:08:18 PM
I have some experience working with a think tank and conducting similar research to the question you posed above.
If you send me a list of questions I'd be happy to take a look at it for you amd either answer it myself or forward to someone who is in a better position than I in order to answer it.
Having been said, my research was based on the NHS system in the U.K. whose practice is very different to existing healthcare services in the US.

Sent you a PM. I appreciate your offer much.

Now, I have written a part of this research already. Actually, I would need a quick summation on what the main blocks of improvement are in healthcare. Like why getting any improvement done in this sector is difficult.

Also, could you or anyone here suggest any professional survey or research that backs up the demand of innovation in healthcare?
527  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Purpose me a good API to receive payments for my application on: March 16, 2017, 09:25:18 PM
Since you have received some 3rd party suggestion already, I am grabbing the DIY line. If you ever choose this path and need some guidance, I can give a few tips, especially related server security. From security viewpoint, btw, using your own bitcoind is the safest and it would solve any blacklist-issue too.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: March 16, 2017, 09:08:12 PM
golem doing good on poloniex
but no update from dev side

I see. From my research's viewpoint, the trust in the developer is very important. I would hate to wait again for this project, but I cannot proceed unless the developer himself reveal some feedback about the development and future plans. Now, I remember, even in the past, Golem was always a bit mysterious. The fact that it still grew to its current stage gives me some hope, though.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: March 16, 2017, 09:03:27 PM
I remember Golem Project. In the past, someone asked about it in the forum. I wanted to help him so I looked after the development. That was how I first met Golem Project. I liked the supercomputer idea. However, this project was in a very early phase in that time so I had to put it aside for a bit. I am glad because Golem reached the point when it is finally included at exchanges. I think, it is time for me to take the project into my attention again. Do you have any idea if Golem's computing power could be used anywhere in healthcare?
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BLK/BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: March 16, 2017, 08:31:35 PM
I have seen this altcoin recently added to my favorit exchange. I have heard only good about this project so far, but I have not heard much. Since I am a little bit new into this project, could someone enlighten me why is this project so good? If you are invested, what was your reason to invest?
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EMC] EmerCoin — Innovative blockchain services! ( PoW&PoS - SHA-256) on: March 16, 2017, 08:23:51 PM
I expressed my interest in this technology before. Then I had to take a break to re-factor my project. Now, I am researching the possible uses of crypto in healthcare.

Since this coin has a wide range of networking features, which are universally useful in healthcare as well as at financial services, would you support this research in the direction of healthcare?

I would not ask to change your platform for my wish, I am just looking for solutions and need your support to give the answers.
532  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 【Bitcoin Debit Card GetMeVISA.ga】 No ID Required |Multi Cards Buy Supported on: March 16, 2017, 08:13:59 PM
What is the scope of your "anonymous" definition? How do you identify your own users? To prevent abuse, you must have some method to make a difference between a legit user and a hacker.

You are saying in the thread that with an account I have everything to manage the cards.

If someone hijacked my account, would it mean he would have unlimited (since an account is enough to manage my cards online) and irreversible (since no ID or verification needed, which could identify my legit self) control over my cards?
533  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS http://land.space DOMAIN on: March 16, 2017, 08:06:00 PM
Could you name a few of the "many domain brokers" who suggested that price? Surely, they found some not-so-obvious value, which I too want to know. By the way, what are the altcoins exactly that do you accept? How does the price look like when buying with BTC or those altcoins?
534  Economy / Digital goods / Re: KASPERSKY INTERNET SECURITY 2017 BEST PRICE+ESCROW on: March 16, 2017, 07:46:52 PM
I have been researching software security for some time and I came to the conclusion that AVs are the kind of software I would always download from the original vendor. If I understand right, I can do it with this offer, you are just sending the activation code, right? Still, 2017 has just started. There is much in this year to come. What is your reason of selling a 12-month protection?
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [N] Altcoin platform with REAL healthcare potential on: March 15, 2017, 07:01:52 AM
I would need an altcoin platform with healthcare potential quick. Deadlines are coming closer in this project. And I have not found a team whom I could discuss with in the long term.

I do not need 1-2 answers from random users, but a serious person or team who are willing to give their real name and title into this research. That is a requirement for this research to be taken seriously...

In return I too am putting my real name and title into it. And it is a good point if you can tell your project was included in a research project with XY result. I just have not found this excellent team to co-operate with :/

What team do you recommend?
536  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: For this project I need someone from Healthcare on: March 14, 2017, 09:32:03 PM
Crypto based on demand of healthcare project, you have a good idea man,, btw what kind of blockchain will you use for this project ?

That is one of the questions yet to be answered. It is a decision between anonimized public and private blockchain or something inbetween. Actually, I want to demonstrate the advantages on an already existing solution so it would be very good to find a platform with healthcare features. Furthermore, in the future I can develop a new platform if we are not satisfied with any current solution, but now the scope of this project covers the demonstration of an established solution and development is out of scope for now.

...

Thank you! I was interested in similar answers. I will be very happy if we can do an interview about the topic. Including more important questions too such as patients' accessibility of their data. However, there is this important factor that we have to consider. I need someone for this interview who really has a profession in (or somehow related to) healthcare and willing to give his real name and title into this scientific paper.

As I mentioned, this project is very important to me so only serious people should come. Such as You guys Smiley Thank you so much!
537  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [5 Vouch Copies] [Premium Accounts] Spotify/Netflix/Lynda/MC/CourseHero/Cheg on: March 14, 2017, 09:27:18 PM
Yeah Im selling on other forums as well. Its just that so far 100% people are satisfied by with my shop with over 500+ sales! ^^

Plus I provide Skype Support : Ubers.HF

24 / 7.

Plus, I provide refund if you arent satisfied!
I accept PP / BTC

Who does all that? ^^

Very nice! I asked this question because your Skype Support contact was familiar to me from somewhere else. However, it is clear now that you have a good reason to use the same contact - being proud of your sales, which is nice.

Maybe, an improvement could be if you placed an amount of BTC in a trusted escrow for case of refund. I am writing this suggestion because actually alot of people promise all that, but only a few really do. So, using this little suggestion could improve customer trust and make your shop a bit different too.

Anyway, my questions were answered. All what left is my wish that you have a good luck with sales!
538  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price is the Moon landing? on: March 11, 2017, 09:40:51 PM
For me, BTC has moon landed already. I remember the time when its price crashed and people were panicking and now it is beyond everything people imagined at that time. However, to add something for the future, I think BTC will land on the next planet when reaching $10k. It will be the next big milestone in a logarithmic scale ))
539  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [5 Vouch Copies] [Premium Accounts] Spotify/Netflix/Lynda/MC/CourseHero/Cheg on: March 11, 2017, 09:37:51 PM
OK, these questions may sound strange, but they really are important to me.

Are you running this account shop on other forums too?

What was your reason to sell them in Bitcointalk as well?

I am asking these questions because you have just arrived to Us and I wonder what kind of products I can expect from you in the future.
540  Economy / Digital goods / Re: ************ [WTS] [AUTOBUY] GTA V , Microsoft Office , AVG ************ on: March 11, 2017, 09:30:29 PM
That is a really neat price for AVG Internet Security for one whole year.

May I know how did you obtain the activation code?

Do you take any guarantee on that it will work?

What about other guarantees like what if AVG bans the activation key some hours after activation?

UPDATE: For some reason your pictures do not load at me. Could you pay a moment to upload them into an alternative host?
