I see what you did there.

Any way to make it so the character selection box doesn't jump to the beginning every time you click Go?  Currently if you have a lot of characters and you have two arrows to go across the character selection box, and you press go on any character, it resets the bar to the beginning. Don't know if this makes sense but just another small improvement for the client.
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Breaking news** Satoshi Nakamotos identity revealed on: March 06, 2014, 06:44:39 PM
OP's name is keysersoze. What a subtle troll. Whooooosh over people's heads.

546  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Calling out the Bitcoin Foundation Scam. on: March 04, 2014, 12:24:00 AM
My reaction to OP

Seriously though, this whole Bitcoin Foundation business is very interesting. For some reason, because I kept reading about them on reddit and because they have such a nice and important sounding name, I assumed they were doing something useful in the Bitcoin community. But when you think about ,what HAVE they contributed? I don't know if they're a scam, but all I know is they've been pocketing money and not really outputting anything I've heard of. This needs further investigation. OP is a little aggressive but raises an important issue.
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEO of Blockchain.info tweets "Big News Dropping Tomorrow" on: March 04, 2014, 12:11:27 AM
These announcements are usually not that big of a deal. The whole point is to excite and bring people in to your product (in this case their website). We'll see but I don't think it's anything earth-shattering.
548  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New announce from MtGOX on: March 02, 2014, 07:19:55 AM
This reminds me of when OJ opened a tip line to gather tips about who might have killed his ex wife.

I'm not saying I did...but IF I did it...   Cool
549  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.5btc/month for your signature on: March 02, 2014, 07:16:35 AM
So are we keeping the same signature? Would be nice to get an update from OP.

He updated the First post in this thread!

You misunderstand. I'm not asking about activity. I'm asking about whether he wants us to change our signatures because they're broken since the website changed sig rules.
550  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mark Karpeles Personal Bitcoin Holdings on: March 02, 2014, 06:53:17 AM
Probably a few thousand if I had to guess. No way he's sharing that with customers tho :]

I feel bad for whoever has to answer those calls...it's obviously not going to be Karpeles.

2FA is a must when you're dealing with BTC.

Is it normal if it burns when you go pee?

Yes that happens to me like once a month. It's really really annoying but it's normal Smiley
554  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e is an Internet black hole on: March 01, 2014, 11:57:35 PM
I think its healthy to question the safety of other exchanges after the Gox fiasco but I don't have much negative to say about BTC-E or Stamp, and I haven't seen much negative press about them. Of course I would limit the time that my coins spend inside any exchange before or after what happened at Gox, but I think its unfair to start a witch hunt on these reliable exchanges.

556  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The US Govt stole your coins - not MtGox on: March 01, 2014, 04:58:32 AM
Idiotic theory. Steal from Gox yet leave every other exchange alone.

Put your tin foil hats back on.

*IF* the government is indeed involved...It's NOT stealing. It's a criminal investigation linked to Silk Road, which is why Gox in particular is involved. They didn't "steal" the coins, they're holding them in storage under their control because Gox's bitcoins are incriminated.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It seems that some people are hoping that the US gov confiscated gox cold wallet on: March 01, 2014, 04:55:42 AM
If it is true, I'm REALLY curious what they're planning to do with it. On one hand, they could scare and destabilize bitcoin and the community by showing that the government can just confiscate people's wealth like this. On the other hand, people paid money for these coins, and law enforcement agencies are supposed to be stopping crime and helping people (in an ideal world at least)...IE, they should  give people their funds back. Can you imagine the outrage if they ARE holding the coins and not willing to distribute them back to Gox's customers?
558  Other / Archival / Re: Lessons from MtGox collapse on: March 01, 2014, 04:49:52 AM
So in other words, do all the same things that people have been telling you to do countless times now. I only got into bitcoin in Nov. of last year but I made 100% sure to reduce any chances of losing my bitcoins BEFORE I made my purchase. I learned about wallets, exchanges, etc. It sucks but the people who lost the most from this were willfully ignorant of the knowledge.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what can we do about Mark Karpeles now on: March 01, 2014, 04:43:05 AM
Find out the whole truth before we crucify him. I think he's incompetent but we don't yet know what exactly happened/is happening behind the scenes of Gox.
560  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The US Govt stole your coins - not MtGox on: March 01, 2014, 04:37:00 AM
Honestly I'm leaning towards this theory too. Only one difference they didn't "steal" them, they're holding them in storage because of how Gox is supposedly linked to Silk Road. Or something...This also explains why Mark and Gox are not telling us a whole lot about what the hell is going on, and why they've been lying - they're under gag order so they can't say anything substantial. In any case, we should be getting more details on this topic daily so the truth will hopefully come out.
