  And yes the original plan was the Grand Bazaar.  I have also noticed not the launch of Open Bazzaar, and One market, and every new coins implementation of their own markets.  Im hoping with the Halo projects or perhaps some other ingenuity that all the decentralized markets will function together.

   Once again, we all share only a certain market cap at the moment i regards to total investments and hence total investment potential in such decentralized markets.. i of course hope each individual market will somehow be tied together.. as the philosphy of decentralized trade should not be limited to the centralization of decentralized markets.

 This goes the same for anomynity, Silk could be anonymous very quickly.. but why would anyone advertise they are anonymous? It is an oxymoron and only makes sense to market a coin.  There is no such sense in - We are anonymous! We are legion! We are at Walmart!
  Lol do not forget the philosphy of crypto.  Sha256 was created by the NSA in 2001 to send secure encrypted messages.. anonymous messages.. something is going ass backwards here with constant requests and new coins following fully personal transparency and corporate structures.
  The mob seeks someone to lynch.. i believe in proper accounting transparency, and adequate social and managerial systems, that a developers personal identity is safe to be hidden as long as the accounting and transparency systems support a leaderless society and investor confidence.

  I dont believe cryptocurrencies were meant to be businesses.. but opportunites for businesses as we rebuild the worlds economic failures and faults. 

  In regards to the Grand Bazaar perhaps..but also perhaps there is something far more Silky on the horizon.

 After new wallet has been implemented, and mobile Bitstream is launched, we are currently in discussions with nightrader. Both silk and nighttrader are extremely busy, so we're going to meet up after more is set into place.  Still tonnns of building going on.
  You can expect to see nearly all of previous roadmap (with the possible exclusion of trade bots - to to massive security concerns) plus many more features. The next wallet update will include the voting system and a couple other cool features.

  We are planning on holding elections for Silk Council next week if everything goes according to plan,  and will be building a system of transparency assumably and reasonably better then the bitcoin foundation..
 
    It is a bad thing that transparency is not a dedicated service to investors in crypto, but is also a good thing in regards to finding holes and errors in current systems.

   Again, as was mentioned in intitial takeover that Silk intends to end fear, uncertainty and doubt.   As simple as this statement may sound, it is an entire roadmap to be built, and hopefully adopted amongst other alts.

   For any other developers or coins, interested in building this system, we are all ears.  Please pm or add me to google hangouts hanzlambrecht@gmail.com to discuss.  A properly formed Council is the first step, a community amongst communities is the next step.
  
   We must remember that alts share a small market in the grand scheme of things, and the rampant lies, scams and non-transparent systems in regards to investor confidence and trust must be eliminated, or all alts will fall.

   There is already massive distrust, not only in alts but in crypto in general.  For mass adoption, shady closed door foundation tactics must be destroyed, as the crypto communities involved in such shady and immoral tactics damage each of one us that truly believe in the crypto philosophy of financial and hence personal freedom.  

  We must not let the power and money involved in this divide and conquer us, as is becoming more and more apparent whilst dreams of freedom, turn into corporate structured cryptos.

  This is a fight we must all partake in, not just Silk, it is all of crypto that needs to take responsibility; or we are doomed to be devoured by the same groups we all vowed to seperate from upon the birth of Bitcoin.

We will have notifications for updates built into the system soon, seeing as though as much as we all think bct is the voice to the world.. it is not necessarily the case. There are a few routes to complete notifications for updates, and we are on top of all of them.

In regards to cryptocurrency as a whole at a current 10b dollar market cap, it is tough to say what the future will bring.  Already the systems of crypto are far superior to fiat, but it will be the crypto community as an entirety working together that could make it a world standard of payment.

 With the coming and current integrations of decentralized marketplaces, and crypto philosophy being put into action we do as a crypto society have the possibility of reaching individual marketcaps like you describe.

If not, we will see the market eat itself over and over again, as the same fiat gods laugh at our tiny revolution, buy it, turn us against each other and own it.  In this case, the entire philosophy of crypto will die. And the federal reserve will issue us our bitcoins, from their miners in space. lol

So far the general mannerisms of silk post collapse, are very well.. with a lack of words to describe it, SILKY.  We are all very intelligent, very honest, very inquisitive, very forward thinking, well mannered, .. well the list can go on.  I haven't personally seen this kind of community in other threads.

 We do not have a CEO. Refuse to have a CEO to kybosh the philosophy of crypto.  Although in the absence of a fully automated democratic system, we are functioning well as a community run coin.  I believe the common agreement is to form a foundation or in this case a Council.  Perhaps entitled The Silk Council.  It will be comprised of all the current active contributors and programmers, and be responsible for all the payments to developers with comm funds and be publicly displayed for every investor or inquiry to ensure comm funds are spent correctly.

 With the integration of the voting system soon to be incorporated, we will surely be able to devise a system that is fully automated, and exist as an autonomous system, with no centralized figure or head, but still be able to operate as an extremely intelligent and cohesive society in near exact reference to Jacqul's post, about the enigma or cellular pre-man intelligence of the slime mold.

  The collective unconsciousness exists in all of us, and with the current consciousness of the Silk community, we are leagues and bounds above the majority of what is available in this strange and obscure crypto market.

Planning on the new final release this week sometime.

So far the issues with previous 1.1.0.12 installer version have all been ironed out except for penguins corrupt wallet.dat.  Which are taking care of today.

In regards to competition, we are the GUI leaders in the industry.  I don't think any coin has the interface we have unless parts of it were forked from Silk.

The voting system was ready to be implemented, going on a login/2fa auth system..

But in the spirit of cryptocurrency, I believe we have found a much better way to run the voting and polls.  Looking to have it integrated along with a couple other cool features not yet seen in other wallets.

The dev who designed the voting system has been away this week, so upon his return, I believe we are ready to integrate with the new features proposed by the team.

For now check out 1.1.0.17 and please report any problems if they arise.  So far we haven't heard any issues with 1.1.0.16, and have done a lot more upgrades regarding 17.

Joffmac, i also discovered that cryptsy was down around the same time you were experiencing this problem.  Perhaps try opening a support ticket with cryptsy, reference your txid and screenshot.
