True talk, effort alongside consistency is the part way to merit earning than thinking about be a lucky meritee. Many have forgotten that; there is always a reward for those who put on their best when contributing to a conversation, though  some also quickly condemn their contribution towards discussion because they felt not be accepted into the society. Such individuals need courage inself and push harder for leaning. Some with this effort give-up because of them not earning merits as they want but rather step backwards to conspired against members with positive zeal towards discussion.

542  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Password Spray Attack vs Brute Force Attack on: September 23, 2020, 03:35:39 PM
Password spray attack are on a rise because of thousands compromised services on internet, backed in 2019 there were over 7,808,519,176 credentials linked  and exposed which has given to the rise in spray attack and brute force attack among hackers. When confidential credentials compromised are all available on the internet, then don't expect this not to happen. Those that will be free from this plaque are those who will always choose a better password for different online websites, don't repeat passwords for any reason because they gat your credentials. The easiest attack.

545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking NEWS: SEC, Bitcoin now legal (a security) in Nigeria. on: September 22, 2020, 11:08:43 AM
From what I have known, Bitcoin wasn’t illegal in Nigeria at the first place. I can remember a few years back someone posted a news about some cryptocurrency exchanges that launched their services in Nigeria. I remember for sure that Luno exchange has been fully functioning in Nigeria for years now, so how does that make Bitcoin illegal?
You have forgotten that most of these cryptocurrency services where not  home service and most of them where be used by the government for money laundry. Bitcoin not be made illegal or legal in Nigeria in the past was as a result of the advantage the executives arms of government enjoyed(past and present). If Luno, Binance among other cryptocurrency start-up businesses be granted forensic audit you will be surprise what your government has done with them in terms of money laundry: 'so, how can a corrupt government make Bitcoin illegal, when using the same route for money laundry?. And when they discovered citizens had moved into Cryptocurrency, they were left with nothing to hide than make it legal to be regulated.
Quote
Maybe there was no rules set in place as of then, maybe it was just among those countries that had no rules , where it was neither regarded as legal or illegal and corrupt law enforcement will extort you wrongly. By the way, before this your news there was also a news of a Bitcoin ATM that launched in Nigeria; a BTC ATM won’t be launched in a place where it’s illegal.
Some groups took advantage of this to robbed citizens off their sincere money earned from the internet. Between the years it wasn't illegal or legal, Bank accounts closure or tags was on a rise, and enforcement agency made their cut from legitimate owners of internet wealth and tagged them 'Yahoo Boys'. Bitcoin ATM machine be launched should explaine better than me. The same ring of money launders did that, and when they discovered me and you are into it too; it was time to regulate it hence be made legal to make it not business as usual.
546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't trade if you're inexperience rather stake your coins. on: September 21, 2020, 08:22:20 PM
Does it mean inexperience traders aren't born to trade?.
Inexperienced traders can always learn how to trade by surfing the web on guidelines on trading or I'll also suggest you look out for free signals posted https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5268315.msg54980714#msg54980714 and follow them up to help improve your trading
Well, since many have kicked against using others signal I have taken the precaution of abiding in my signal. As many forum members had said, learning is for the inexperience trader which I belong, so, I have started another learning process towards my trading career. Please you can save yourself from huge loss when you abide with your TA and signal derived, thanks for your suggestion.
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 21, 2020, 07:44:15 PM
Addictive gamblers should understand that, their addiction doesn't only affect them but other in the family. Whenever such a gambler get into a dipper loss financially while gambling it also have great impact to their respective families. So, having the habit of addiction isn't a joking stuff but serious issues which should be address with immediate effect. As a gambler, ensure to pay close attention to your habit towards addiction, this will help keep families in good health.

That will happen if that gambler uses the money for his family. If he can hold himself for using that money, I think he will still have the money to buy his family's needs. But many people out there can use their family money to gamble because they think that they can double the money from gambling. But the fact is they can't always get the chance to do that because gambling can't be predicted.

A gambler might forget about controlling and managing his money when they play gambling because we know how gambling can invite them to go deeper into the games.
Very true, this  has once happened to me.  On that faithful day I was with the mindset of gambling with the family fund in order to make some gains before proceed for the message but unfortunately lost all funds in the process. Though I regretted my actions and have learned my lessons.

Gambling has a bad friendly spirit which will always insist you play more when at lost. Setting limit while get involve into gambling Should be embrace.
548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which type of trading you think is good? on: September 20, 2020, 10:23:53 PM
Basically, trades that are base on news feeds from trusted sources are the best while using your TA for doubt clearance before venture into trade. Though, there are reservations to this, don't get your news from the wrong groups concerning the project rather it should be from the project handles. With this method, I always trade on a mid term basis because sometimes the news doesn't move the market immediately, sometimes it take weeks before seeing the positive effects on the market. So, for me; this is good to my liken.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should bitcoin be introduced into the educational sectors on: September 20, 2020, 10:05:38 PM
I still rarely find material about bitcoin in universities, we only find it in certain courses and seminars. The implementation of bitcoin or blockchain education in our country is almost non-existent, it may need special discussion to adopt an understanding of bitcoin to students.
If you're fortunate to be from a country that accepted Bitcoin or adopt the said Bitcoin then you can talk about it course integration into higher levels of education. Believe me, if your country doesn't accept Bitcoin the government of your country won't consider it. Like my country Nigeria, the government have adopted Bitcoin as a digital asset but maybe they won't consider it be teach in higher education but hope to see the government taking proactive steps in this regard.

The importance of Bitcoin be taught in the school is very much needed because of it technicalities. Considering Bitcoin security and volatility it should be taught in schools for proper orientation. We have heard thousands of complaints about Bitcoin difficulties which if taught in schools will enhance their understanding about the technology.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inspirational gambling quotes. on: September 20, 2020, 07:02:50 PM
It's quite ironic that there are such thing as inspirational gambling quotes while others are struggling to get out of gambling addiction, but it always depend on the mindset of the person on how will they take such quotes when he's gambling.
Come-on, these "inspirational gambling quotes" are for the help of gamblers. Seeing them as quite ironic shouldn't be portray negatively rather positively, they have helped many addicted gamblers, some have adopted these common quotes which is currently helping them from be mislead while gamble. There are sensitive and important lessons from these "inspirational gambling quotes", choosing that which will be of greater help is encourage among gamblers(including gamble addict).
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THE MOST PAINFUL DAY IN MY BETTING CAREER on: September 20, 2020, 06:42:14 PM
Well, the pain should have started when you bet 5k in a parlay of 12 matches.....!!!!!
How would you do that? You should have a huge fund for gambling according to that.
Another plan would be to cash out. You were waiting just one match and the odd was 1,27 so you would not get very little from your expected return if you would have cashed out initially.
The problem with the cashing out when you're winning some bets but left with those whom you believe take huge grace and encouragement. Though Cash out after the very few games in the bet sometimes look odd because the rest games could be successful after cash out. Some of my games last season where half cash out because of this uncertainty that happened to this dude, so, better to take half bread than to miss the loaf.

553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deadliest Bug in Bitcoin history on: September 19, 2020, 09:54:23 PM
The most devastating Bitcoin bug in history was the 92 billion Bitcoin that was created from out of thin air. This hack was as a result of security flaw that was found and exploited by the anonymous hacker. Going by todays Bitcoin price the hacker should have been swimming with trillions of $dollars and the wealthiest person on earth. This hack was made possible because of a number overflow error. This hack caused pandemonium among Bitcoin community and thanks to Bitcoin enthusiasts who were able to arrest the case without a major damage to Bitcoin.
The hacked 92 billion Bitcoin transactions were all cancelled and the Blockchain was roll back to its pre-hack state. source

The question is, assume this hack went through and transactions successful, will Bitcoin still remain the same as it is now? Considering the fact that, there are only 21million Bitcoin programed to be in circulation.

Below threads depict the zeal’s among Bitcoin community in the recovery of this incident; can’t the same community help in recovery funds whenever there’s major hack in the network?.

Strange block 74638
overflow bug SERIOUS
Version 0.3.10 - block 74638 overflow PATCH!
Perhaps most of this money went to charity. Many hackers use the image of Robin hood when they steal money from the wallet of rich people and distribute it to the poor. For example, African countries largely live thanks to hackers who distribute money to charitable organizations.
It wasn't a hack but a potential bug found in Bitcoin network, after the community discovered this flaw it was quickly patched and the hackers went home with nothing. Hackers  aren't giving anything to charitable from my understanding but always tried to covered up their shitss by doing so. The 95 Billion Bitcoin generated from tin air was recovered from the hackers.
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 19, 2020, 09:17:45 PM
The chances of a game with skill to be won by the unskilled gambler is slim and those games that actually require skills are pokers games among others. Those games are the most enjoyable games while play with passion, am a porker gamer and love to be doing this almost every weekend. As a porker gamer, taking up another opponent who also has the needed skills for me is the most terrible shit for me, though play with them give more experience which will enhance your play henceforth.
555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inspirational gambling quotes. on: September 19, 2020, 08:53:10 PM
2. “Hoping to recoup is what ruins the gambler.”
Many have been sent to early grave because of this singular act of recouping while they run at loss in gambling. Never be in perpetual chase of your losses in gambling; times are different and luck don't shine everyday. The only solution to this problems among gamblers is for them setting limits while they gamble. Don't chase your losses when lucks don't chase after you as a gambler.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THE MOST PAINFUL DAY IN MY BETTING CAREER on: September 18, 2020, 04:51:34 PM

Hope you get to win bigger than 260k someday laycon.. Let us know in this thread if ever it will happen.
Well by the Grace of God, I have seriously grown in the business, I haven't won 260k at a stretch but I have won more than that from bettings
That's a good catch bro, i think your lost isn't just normal but a step to your thoughts ahead, consistency is the key to sport betting as i too do this almost every weekend since the games has resumed back again. Don't feel bad about this loss becasue things will surely fall in place positively. As for me, i haven't won something big but have won averagely as a bettor and at the same time lost.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is good strategy or technique for Toss Coin? on: September 18, 2020, 04:37:46 PM
You can't predict what is the result after flipping the coin, it could be heads or tails. That is of course because they are only two option there. This could be a 50/50 odds that the chances of winning also in 50/50, both of you between your opponent and you are the same, based on luck strategy and the martingale I guess will work if you will play a long time.

Personally, I don't play games like this. The odds against you are quite high.
It is still base on luck as playing toss coin has the 50/50 chance of winning. Also, is there really a strategy on toss coin? The most that we can do is to play that you can afford to lose as this game base on luck. That's true we cannot predicted what may appear when flipping a coin it's either heads or tails. So we have to be smart when playing like this for us not to loss some money.
there is a strategy if you believe there is . like most people said they use martingale on a toss coin game but for me i dont create strats on a basic game like this . i just bet and accept if i won or loose then stop .

playing coin toss online can be hard but playing coin toss in real world is easy because you can see the flow of the coin especially if you are allowed to throw  ,  i experience this as a child  .
Toss Coin game to me doesn't require strategy because this game solely depends on individual luck while play. For online try i haven't tried this game yet, but for real life it's my favorite. The game depends on your inner-mind-prayers LOL, always pray when tossing your coins; who knows it might be your turn in the win. Sincerely, this game isn't for those who are addicted to gambling becasue anyone can run at loss anytime.
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deadliest Bitcoin hack in history on: September 18, 2020, 03:58:48 PM
Believe me. The deadliest hack in crypto history is yet to come.
I definitely can't argue this; due to thousand of cryptocurrency exchanges in the industry without proper security measures put in place. We have heard about series of hacks and the recent is that of Italian Altsbit cryptocurrency which was hacked and part of the funds where recovered back. The issue here is security flaws within these exchanges, those with less security flaws will stay protected but those with the aim of getting investors to forget security as the first priority may end-up be dealt with.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deadliest Bitcoin hack in history on: September 17, 2020, 04:25:42 PM
It would be deadliest if the bug is exploited within last 1-3 years, where public already hear about Bitcoin and the damage would be severe since making majority agree to perform rollback or upgrade client in short time is nearly impossible.
Things would have fall apart sincerely speaking and Bitcoin name send to mud.
+why the community find this difficult to implement rollback into Bitcoin network?. Cryptocurrencies exchange has been on the news about hacks and nothing has been done to ensure there are mechanism which can allow rollback if there are incidents of such(stolen funds recover from hackers). I think this should be an important aspect the community of Bitcoin Network and exchanges should look into for solution.

If Mt.Gox hadn’t happened, where do you think BTC would be today?
Mt. Gox help the bitcoin community grow bigger. Exchanges become better in their security. Laws become stricter. I see Mt. Gox does it role very good for bitcoin. I am sorry for any people who lost money on Mt. Gox
~~
They also help in slowing down global adoption becasue the news of their hacked exchnage went viral. The team wanted rapid spread of Bitcoin without having the capability to secure investors funds, remember Jed McCaleb gave 88% to french engineers and kept just 12% to himself. Having the control of over 70% Bitcoin trades as at that time was a good one, but there was a huge loss to the community after the hack. This has affected the rapid spread of Bitcoin, hope they pay back the stolen funds.
560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't trade if you're inexperience rather stake your coins. on: September 17, 2020, 03:47:33 PM
~ Recently, I saw a potential signal on Binance with CHR but was disappointed after my order as the altcoin get dipper.
This is a mistake. You didn't really trade here, you only followed a signal blindly without understanding whether it has been oversold or overbought. More than 90% of the time, you will get rekt if you follow these trading signals. They prey on gullible followers and subscribers.
You're wrong; I traded there, have  been into trade even with my inexperience skills but yet  made good gains. The said signal was 08-28-14:01:09(bought)  -  09-01-23:21:35 (traded) if you can analyze this better, any available signal at my end must be analyze before any action be taken. This was a pure and clear signal but something happened somewhere; hope am able to figure it out next time. Suggestions has been made here which I will run with this time.
This is getting more confusing now. I thought you created this thread because you are complaining that you've lost in trading but here you are saying that you've made gains. Which is it?
It look confusing becasue of the highlighted text above. This trade brought me confusion becasue the same signals that worked for some trade are the same i applied here. News about the coins is all i want from groups and nothing more, after all they don't give signals and those that gave aren't good types(pump and dump groups).
Quote
Can you clarify what this signal is? Did you get it from analyzing charts? If so, what were the indicators that you used? I thought you got it from trading signals of pump and dump groups.
I used Heikin Ashi: which i have been using for other trades.
Quote
What do you mean by "pure and clear" signal? If that's some sort of assurance that you'll profit if you follow it, I hate to break it down to you but there's no such thing. The data changes quickly and the market can flip in a matter of minutes. Even using moving averages, which I think are best for removing "noise", is never a guarantee that you'll get it right.
I still believe there was a sort of manipulation that lead me to a lost, maybe things do happen this way; just my first time of experience. Lesson learned
