... I've just found a page for M1 as at December 31 2020 that Lopp is hosting, go with that for now.
https://www.lopp.net/m1/rank.html

... bit of catching up to do, BTC has been taking some big scalps lately.

Quote
Bitcoin just received a strong vote of confidence from an unlikely source, a former acting director of the Central Intelligence Agency. In so doing, he put senior government officials who issue public warnings about bitcoin’s alleged use by criminals, such as Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, on notice.

...
In an expansive study, Morell came to two key conclusions:

The broad generalizations about the use of bitcoin in illicit finance are significantly overstated.
Blockchain analysis is a highly effective crime fighting and intelligence gathering tool.

But that is not all. In speaking with Forbes before the paper’s release, Morell made it clear that there will also be severe geopolitical repercussions for the U.S. vis-a-vis China if it wastes energy and resources chasing a ghost as opposed to leveraging blockchain, and fintech more generally, to build the country’s technological and economic base. Specifically, he said that “we need to make sure that the conventional wisdom that is wrong about the illicit use of Bitcoin doesn't hold us back from pushing forward the technological changes that are going to allow us to keep pace with China.”

... Coinbase IPO will release tens of billions of fiat into the hands of long time bitcoin savy enthusiasts and maximalists, who are least likely to want to have the new dosh sit in fiat

.... they're just trying to keep a lid on this as long as possible and buy up the cheap coins

... no way btc is only worth 10x Coinbase market cap, the IPO event should fix most of that anomaly

Me? I'll be dead before all that Armageddon stuff happens, so I really DGAF...

The schedule's been updated. You might be in for a surprise.

Lol, what good luck, what bad luck, the last 3 decades of sir-azimuth's life is coinciding with a 1 in 2000 apocalypse/armageddon before the alien-arrival, messiah-returns, galactic-federation peace Epoch begins.

I don't like chartbuddy, I just find it irritating.

But make a poll and we will see, if it comes out positive, then make another one after a month and see if people still like it.
I think a lot of new people in here have no idea what it is and how annoying it was.

.... typical fucking old norwegian curmudgeon troll... How many times a day do you yell "get off my lawn"? Grin

bring back chartbuddy richy, caveat being you don't use it as leverage to insert irritating "flat tyres" conversations into the thread

Lots of filling in the numbers near the ATH. We're either painting a very long top or building a base for the big move higher??

Thanks Fuckerberg:

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2021/apr/03/500-million-facebook-users-website-hackers

CryptosRUs speculating that news may have resulted in a little downturn in the BTC price due to exposing info useful to hackers.

I DO have a Fuckerberg Book account but thankfully never associated my phone number with it.

Does anyone have a direct link to the stolen data?

sure if you send the bitcorn first Wink lol

yes here is the direct link to the data... https://www.facebook.com/

Edit:
Joke a part this data was leaked in Jan 2021, but did not get much media attention now all of the sudden after three months it resurfaced

By the way zuck's id is 4 and you can confirm like this...

2. Tyler Winklevoss
3. Eduardo Saverin?

As for your equation, just by looking at it I'm guessing that it's an infinite product approximation of something that roughly behaves like sinc(x) = sin(x)/x, and is also shifted by Pi/2 on the x-axis.

it has the property

f(x) f(-x) = \frac{\sin x}{x}

So I wasn't too far off... Interesting property. Does the equation have any practical application, say, in digital filtering, sampling or similar? Or was it constructed just for the lulz?

... it has applications in number theory (maybe breaking some crypto?), I like how you've taken a shine to it!

... now if you could just expand as an infinite sum and let me know if you find a close-formed expression for the 3rd term (or higher) coefficients, that would be great, thanx. I'll likely offer a btc bounty for the correct solution for this someday but will definitely make you co-author on a paper to make you famous anyway.

Been thinking about selling the equation in my avatar ... how do I collect royalties if someone invents something incredibly lucrative using it?

You'd need to fix the last bracket, otherwise no respected equation connoisseur will buy it.

I would rather fix the first bracket (after the product), so as to be consistent with the size of the object inside the bracket pair... But, surely, even fixing the last bracket is a step in the right direction, and adds the necessary symmetry to the pair.

You have an eye for detail, Phil_S. I'm impressed.

An issue of the \large vs. \Large thingy?

... it's ok to critique on style when your intellect doesnt allow for critiquing on content

... but I'm quite happy with bracket asymmetry thanx, taking creative licence on this point

... So if you want to choose your own bracket geometries that's fine but you'll have to start by discovering your own fucking equations

.... and if anybody wants my fNFTs

559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 01, 2021, 02:47:44 PM
I don't get the new NFT thing.

.... first thing to realise about NFT is it actually stands for New Fucking Thing, the guys who are pushing it are probably mostly the same ones that did syndicated btc mining farm shares, coloured coins, initial shitcoin offerings, bitcoin forkcoins, BlockChain startups and stablecoins

... they realised they needed someyhing new and shiney to distract noobs getting drawn into real btc by the bull run adoption wave while they scoop up cheap corn and dump their dirty fiat, sundry shitcoins and tokens

... clearly they couldn't just come right out and call it the New Fucking Thing so in an inside joke about their other plans to attempt at destroying bitcoins fungibility they called their latest co-op and switch plan Non Fungible Tokens.

NFTs now part of Bitcointalk guys...

Many forum users have invested a lot of time into the forum, so why not turn this time-equity into tradeable commodities? You can now trade forum NFTs (fNFTs):
