543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Help! 4x 7970 only doing 500 Kh/s ... LTC on: May 14, 2013, 03:49:11 PM
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but each of my 7970 is only doing 500 Kh/s
Settings:
CGMiner 3.1.1
Catalyst 13.4
Undervolted to 925mv on all cards
Power Limit % at 20
Core Clock: 925mhz
Memory Clock: 685mhz
Temps: ~62C
I know that Memory Clock does affect LTC Mining but it made no
difference at 1575mhz for me (well only 10 Kh/s difference) but gave a lot more heat.
CGMiner settings:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us.wemineltc.com:80 -u xxx.7970 -p xxx -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334 -u xxx.pcs.7970s -p xxx --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --shaders 2048 --scrypt
Any help would be appreciated!
544  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: May 13, 2013, 01:45:11 AM
Looks like I'm going to be buying another user's 12.8 chips. I would really like to end up with 20 chips for a 20 chip unit though - I know it's a long shot but is there anyone in this thread that wants to sell 8 chips worth of their share?

edit: for that matter I'd love to buy someone's 18 or 28 chips, and would pay a bit extra for interest Wink

confirmed. You are buying 8 chips from JahPowerBit

ragingazn, any updates on PCB design on your end?

There is this company in California... maybe.

Also, if anyone has 10 chips they want to transfer to me, please PM.

I think I will be buying Klondike as a last resort as well. I already talked to him about buying a mass order Wink hopefully I can get first in line!
546  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: May 10, 2013, 01:12:29 PM
I am interested in buying 100+ thanks!
547  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: May 09, 2013, 02:30:07 PM
I hereby declare that I have traded in my 100 chips order to ragingazn628 for the full original payment. I no longer have the rights to these 100 chips ordered in this thread.

ragingazn628, could I get 32 of those chips? That'd bring my total order to 512 chips.

I am buying them for my friends Sad

Thanks shiba I have about 13 more BTC for chips guys - if you are selling your chips in this order PM me asap!

552  Bitcoin / Mining support / [Bounty] How do I mine with my 7970 and play games with GTX 690? on: May 07, 2013, 01:16:03 AM
Hey guys,

So I just bought a GTX 690 for my main rig and I have a 7970 laying around so I decided to plug that in to mine while I game. Both the GTX 690 and 7970 show up in device manager but when I tried with GUIminer it will not detect my 7970.

I was running my 7970 before installing my GTX 690. I uninstalled all the drivers for my 7970 and also used Driver Sweeper to get rid of anything left. I installed the GTX 690 and installed Nvidia Drivers.

Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

My CGminer settings:

Code:
cd cgminer
cgminer.exe -o coinotron.com:8322 -u xxx -p xxx-I 9 --gpu-fan 70 -d 1

Bounty: Much Love <3

edit: installed ATI drivers and got it to work with GUIMiner - how can I get it to work with CGMiner?

I agree for a merger. Use JohnK as the escrow.

I agree with you wrenchmonkey. How many orders we have now ragingazn628? How many chips left?

We have ~7000 chips left.

you can see the spreadsheet.

According to the spreadsheet, we're over 50% of the way there counting commitments (not paid funds).  I think the most important part is going to be the next 30% and the last 20% will be filled with people looking for a group that is about to close their round.

I think we need to keep this on the front page by posting periodically (before I had added this thread to my watchlist it took me 15 minutes to find it at one point) and I think we need a little patience as the recent volatility may have changed people's ROI assumptions.  With any luck we can have the order filled this week.

Raging/Tom: Perhaps you might also want to keep your eyes on other group buys that are being organized- we may want to consider merging groups to allow for a faster order?  I think we can all agree that time is of the essence.

Just my two cents-

Kong

I don't know how sucessful the merging would work Sad people join specific group buys for better shipping etc. you know?

I am probably interested in around 500 (~40BTC)  but not without knowing the boards will work, and that I can find a local fab who can turn the PCB design into a completed product. I am therefore sitting for a bit, and I think many others are thinking the same.

I think there are a number of variables people are currently mulling over.
1) When will the chips be shipped? (before/after/during B2 and B3)
2) When will the opensource board designs be ready? (before/after/during B2 and B3)
3) Will Avalon have a B4 or are chip sales how they are accomplishing their goals of decentralization
4) Is Avalon working on a new smaller process node chip?

I think there will be a surge of activity once the test chips get out to BKKCoins and Burnin, and the boards are confirmed functional.

The price of this group buy though is hard to beat.

1) Avalon said 9-10 weeks ...
2) Don't know Sad
3) I don't think a B4 will be possible with these chips in line...
4) Ask Avalon Sad

---

Here's my 2 cents.

You can buy these chips and EASILY resell! Because they are really high in demand!
557  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#2] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! 1 chip = .078BTC = 282Mhash! on: May 04, 2013, 02:03:44 PM
ragingazn628 wanted me to confirm here that he provided a full refund at my request. The estimation of roi and time were just not computing very favorable for the level I was investing with only 60 chips.

Thanks for confirming <3

560  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Fast-Hash-400's 400 GH/s each on: May 02, 2013, 01:39:16 AM
Working prototype demonstration before collecting money?

Just trying to find out what the interest is, not trying to sell anything here.

" 100 Fast-Hash-800's** @ 800 GH/s each for a total of: 80 TH/s Specifications: 45nm 6 GH/s chip 75 chips per board 2 boards per unit Estimated retail value @ ~$60,000 each for a total of $6,000,000 (Estimated to be delivered May 2013)" Huh

Delivering in May 2013??

Wrong date should be May 2014, I get that changed.
