Countries that are good in agriculture have made good progress in the economy. More countries have begun to concentrate on agriculture. Even the corporate networks have begun to focus on agriculture. Microsoft have bought agricultural lands considering the future. These corporate firms were more futuristic, which means they have well understood the future and working on it.

The Netherlands played two matches against Sri Lanka. They were badly defeated in both the matches. In both the matches Sri Lanka set a low target but the Netherlands could not win. The Netherlands scored 192 runs against Sri Lanka in the previous match and today they scored only 105 runs. I don't think this team can play well in the World Cup. They will lose every match. Netherlands is the best team that is available to get a slot in the final 10, think about a scenario when other associate teams gets a slot, it will be a one sided affairs and there is no way they are going to upset any major teams and the thing that is going to happen is that the teams facing Netherlands in the World Cup would view it as a practice match to boost up their averages  . Netherlands are finalists of this CWC and they deserve to play the world cup. Netherlands is not playing the WC for the very first time as they played 1996 ODI world cup also. All teams need to be careful while playing against Netherlands as they have beaten WI while have given tough time to SL. Netherlands bowling is good but they need to pay attention to there batting. Netherlands doesn't have consistency in performance. At times the batting order performs well and bowling line-up too gives the best. The best thing happened with the match against West Indies. Look at the match against Sri Lanka, the bowling order performed well and the batting order completely collapsed. I don't think Netherlands would be making big change in the World Cup Matches. |

We were able to see good number of matches taking place between different women's team. The three match T20 series between India Women and Bangladesh Women have begun. In the first match Bangladesh Women team scored 114 runs, and India Women team have reached the target comfortably losing 3 wickets. Harmanpreet Kaur as usual performed well scoring 54 *runs out of 34 balls. These matches surely help with the improvement of the team performance.

Sri Lanka haven't lost any of the matches in the World Cup Qualifier. With its previous win Netherlands is highly confident to chase targets. However to play against experienced teams is still a struggle. The score of 233 runs seems a reachable target, but Sri Lanka is getting better in its bowling order. Particularly the spinners were performing good, today the fast bowlers have been giving good break from the beginning. Already Madushanka have taken 3 wickets as Netherlands have lost 4 wickets scoring 39 runs in 8 overs.
In both matches against the Netherlands, we saw some poor batting from the Sri Lankan batsmen. In the previous match, Sri Lanka's collection was 213 runs. And today they managed to collect 233 runs. But the Sri Lankan bowlers bowled well in both these matches. Netherlands batsmen are not able to survive at the crease against Sri Lanka's experienced bowlers. The Netherlands team lost 5 wickets to collect only 41 runs. However, the match is not important for either team. Because they have already qualified for the World Cup. Even so, I don't think the Netherlands will bat that badly. Collecting 100 runs is now a tough task for the Netherlands. It seems like Srilanka will easily win this final match at Harare against Netherlands. Although I thought that Srilanka did not make good runs as they could only reach 233 but this seems to be more than enough for them. They were all out in the 47th over. Sahan Arachchige made 57 runs and was the highest run maker from Srilanka. Netherlands had the worst possible chase in this match. They are 6 down for 82 runs. All their batsmen completely failed today. Only Max O'Dowd is batting at 33 and the rest are unable to reach even double figures. Max O'Dowd have fallen to Theekshana at 33 runs. Now Netherlands is 7 wickets down and the score is just 92 runs. Unlucky Scotland, because their small mistakes and miscalculations have costed them to leave the ODI World Cup 2023. The team that performed well against Scotland at the very critical time now struggling to reach 100 runs shows the bad play against the experienced ones. Madushanka is the star of the match to take some quick wickets and collapse the opening. If not the team might've scored something better than now. Anyhow in the World Cup Qualifier the performance of Sri Lanka is really great and exceptional. Lets see if they were able to continue it in the World Cup Matches. |

Very worst performance have come from Bangladesh. The team was in good position with better confidence winning its recent series against Ireland, gave tough fight in the series against England, won against india. Likewise the team was at its best. All of the sudden Afghanistan have made the Bangladesh team really low with the batting and bowling. Both the openers of Afghanistan scoring century shows how good this team have practised. A big learning for Bangladesh before the World Cup and the Asia Cup.
Bangladesh can not expect such a bad performance from them. Because the past matches were hard fought and won the reputation but Afghanistan pushed Bangladesh to utter destruction. Neither of them could perform well in terms of bowling and batting, which is why Bangladesh's result stands today. Although Bangladesh started this ODI section with such poor performance I think Bangladesh will lose in the third match. Here Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zardan of Afghanistan have taken the Afghanistan team to the top of the victory with a fiery performance. Even the previous loss isn't that bad. For that itself the captain ended his cricketing career and he have taken back the decision just because the Prime Minister have requested. Now he might have thought we shouldn't have taken back the decision. As said the top players did the best, and what a partnership from the two. BCB president himself talks unnecessarily to the media. This is one of the reasons why Tamim Iqbal announced his retirement today. Coach Hathuru asked Tamim if he was fit for the match or not. I will check my fitness by playing a game Tamim said. Then Hathuru had a call with BCB President and said Tamim said he will check his fitness by playing a game. BCB President raged and was angry at Tamim and said he should not do that. Either fit or unfit. He cannot check his fitness by playing a match. Tamim retired from International cricket after a lousy performance in yesterday's game.

Instead of feeling sad for them, I would say that they should be ashamed of this performance. I wonder what would be the feeling of the legends WI crickets like Brian Lara or Chris Gayle on their country worst ever performance. What can these legends do about the team selection and how they are performing, all they can do is to get disappointed and hopefully they will be able to regain their old glory. Ending up at fifth number against the teams like Netherlands, and Scotland is an insult in itself. West Indies was that team who won the World cups when these newbies cricket countries didn't know a word about cricket and today time has changed completely.  I guess the era of the West Indies cricket may have ended forever. You cannot claim that the era of West Indies is over because of their terrible performance in ODI, they have shifted towards the shorter form of Cricket for over a decade and they will perform really well in T20 but they need to build a team for other formats. Almost every player of West Indies have got the transition to perform well in the shorter form of cricket. There is big expectation from the West Indies team, but they aren't good with their performance in all format of cricket. The era of Lara was the best for West Indies in test cricket. ODI cricket used to be good, but there won't be much of consistency in performance. In recent years West Indies have gained good progress in T20 cricket. |

West Indies has started quite confidently in the match against Sri Lanka. Johnson Charles has already hit two sixes and along with Brandon King he has added 33 runs in 5 overs. West Indies has only one win from 4 matches in Super6 stage and their only win came against Oman. And this is the last match of the Super6. After this one, only one more match remain in this tournament. And that is the final between Sri Lanka and Netherlands (to be played on 9th July at Harare). Both the teams have already qualified, so the results won't mean much.
West Indies started good. Theekshana came for his spell and took wickets of Brandon King and Shai Hope in his second and third overs. West Indies have reached 55/2 at the end of 10 overs. The team keeps the score coming good amidst the wickets. One more match left and the winning doesn't gonna make any changes as Sri Lanka and Netherlands have already qualified and flying to India. |

While we have been discussing about the upcoming FIFA, I would like to add a small information about India. With the win against Kuwait, India became the SAFF Championship Winners of 2023. With this win India have come under the top 100 countries on the FIFA rank list. This doesn't look like a big achievement for others, but as a person from India I find this to be something great.

I just finished watching the whole game, Ruud was superb though but Broady was in a beast mode, he was so caculative and prdictive, his service were on point and he was so precise with his game play, he played to his strength (Being left handed), he forced Ruud to dance to his tune, he tactically brought up a build up play, his service consistency helped him made some point through Ace, he won some games to Nil, in summary, Broady played a mind game against Ruud, he made sure he dictated the play throughout. He was so Superb, i'm predicting him to end up the competition at least as a top 4 player, Broady!!!
yeah, Ruud did't play any match on grass before Wimbledon, and that was easy to spot today, while Broady is grass player, and showed his experience nevertheless, it is hard to predict where Broady will end-up, he can lose next match Wawrinka is in third round, nice to see, and we have real pleasure this evening, hopefully not changed to tomorrow, between Tsitsipas and Murray That doesn't make sense, if he hadn't played any match on grass before Wimbledon. In such scenario he shouldn't have won two sets inbetween, Ruud played really well and he wasn't able to give the best in the deciding set and lost 6-0. What is going on with Tsitsipas and Andy Murray. Each have won a set and the third set going on. Both the sets have moved to the tie breaker and in the third set Murray is ahead with a break point win. Really surprised as Tsitsipas is struggling and the points were 6 3-7 7 7 7-6 2 3-2 Play got suspended immediately after Andy won the 3rd set 6:4. Right before the set point Andy slipped and fell. It looked like a real bad injury and he was in a lot of pain. He was holding his groin. Hopefully it's not as bad as it looked and Andy will be able to continue the match. Injuries always a big problem. Today we were able to watch what an experience player will do. The aces were really awesome from Andy Murray. Even after the slip the way he completed the set is really nice. The injury shouldn't hurt him bad, the Surbiton Trophy and the Challenger Nottingham win have given him good confidence and kept himself trained to be strong in the Wimbledon. |

Netherlands have won the match against Scotland in style. De Leede's awesome innings scoring 123 runs from 92 balls made it happen. Netherlands have qualified for the 2023 World Cup. Netherlands lost its fifth wicket at 163 runs, the partnership between de Leede and Zulfiqar is just excellent and it is 100+ runs in less than 12 overs. Big disappointment for Scotland as it was like a winning moment for Scotland at some point. That was a real fight as Netherlands, Scotland and Zimbabwe have the same point and Netherlands gets qualified on Net runrate.
IMO, Scotland deserved to qualify, but then they got whatever shit that was warranted after bowling like schoolboys in the last 7-8 overs. Captaincy was extremely poor and Richie Berrington persisted with spinners (Mark Watt) despite Bas de Leede hitting him all over the park. And their best bowler was called in only when Netherlands needed just 2 runs to win. Chris Sole ended up bowling just 7 overs. This is retarded shit from the Scotland captain. He is the main reason why Scotland failed to qualify for the world cup. I just hope that Scotland will find someone who is in his right mental balance as the captain. BTW, I was watching the match live in Hotstar. Peak viewership in Indian market was 92K, which is not bad for a match between two associate nations. Myself was one among the 92k, and it was really bad captaincy. As Netherlands need to win within the 44 overs, Berrington should've brought Sole, Sharif or Leask as they need few more overs to be driven forward. If that had happened even the win could've happened with a net runrate down to Scotland. Complete mistake from the Scotland team, that they never took it big. There is a series ongoing between Irish women and West Indies women. Ireland lost the ODI series 0-2 (one match was washed out) and they lost the first T20I match as well. The T20I series consists of 3 matches and the remaining two matches will take place on 7th and 9th. BTW, there is another series between the Sri Lanka women and the New Zealand women, that will start on 8th July (ODI series is completed, and SL won 2-1). And finally Indian women are touring Bangladesh for a series of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs. The first match will be played on 9th July.
Just checked with the scorecard of the first T20 played between West Indies Women and Ireland Women. The match have gone much closer, and West Indies Women have won at the last ball of the match. The previous ball was a wide, if not Ireland might've got an opportunity to level the score and go for the super over. For Ireland it was Arlene Kelly who took 3 wickets with an economy of 5.25 rpo. More Women cricket is happening around, and surely this'll help Women Cricketers progress good. |

@Sithara007 I didn’t knew that there was demand for local leagues as BCCI doesn’t even consider player’s who perform well in Ranji tournaments hence I thought that these leagues would not have much viewership. Furthermore do you think that BCCI would be okay with them increasing the quota for foreign player’s because won’t it harm the local player’s and secondly will these clubs even be able to pay the same wages like IPL clubs pay for their foreign player’s?
TNPL is quite popular now, at least in Tamil Nadu. The viewership numbers are quite good and it is reported that Star Sports is making good revenue from the sale of advertisement slots. And they have managed to bring some of the star players this season. One example is Ravichandran Ashwin representing Dindigul Dragons. Most of the franchises are reported to be in profit. But then, the BCCI has imposed a lot of restrictions on local leagues. Not only foreign players, but also players registered to other state associations can't participate in such leagues. And this reduces the popularity of the league outside it's home state. This season of TNPL have turned to be more popular with more star performers of IPL continuing the similar performance in TNPL. Sai Sudharsan and Shahrukh Khan playing for Lyca Kovai Kings, Varun Chakaravarthy plays for Dindugal Dragons. More players have been performing good in the tournament, for them this league serves as a stepping stone. Dindugal Dragons and Lyca Kovai Kings leads the table winning 6 matches out of the 7 matches played. However in very few matches we were able to see 200+ runs while the average score used to be around 160 runs, which is getting better with every season. |
