541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is more risky. Sport or casino bets ? on: March 26, 2019, 03:33:18 PM
Outside of card counting in blackjack there aren't many casinos games that require skill and knowledge.  Sports betting can be beaten if you are very smart person and are willing to do the research.  You still need a large bankroll to handle any bad luck streaks but people are able to do this professionally so its not just pure luck.
542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver owning Bitcoin.com on: March 26, 2019, 03:27:00 PM
So sad that Roger has so much influence within crypto. If he let BitPay and blockchain utilize SegWit and LN they would be so much more successful, but this rich bastard has money enough and doesn't mind holding back growth....

he is ensuring his own profitability by doing all the things he has been doing. when he fools people into buying his coin, he is making profit. when he prevents the adoption of SegWit and postpones the inevitable growth of bitcoin he is prolonging his profit making capabilities as he pushes his shitcoin on the masses.

Its unfair to call bitcoin cash a shitcoin when its still a top 10 coin.  Might as well call litecoin and everything else a shitcoin as well since they copy off bitcoin.  Lets just let the market decide and if enough people want BCH it will grow in value.
543  Other / Off-topic / Re: I discovered a baldness cure on: March 26, 2019, 03:21:10 PM
-snip-
I have very little I can add to this. Dutasteride can also be used instead of finasteride, and there are a couple of other 5α-reductase inhibitors such as alfatradiol which can be used. All suffer from the same drawbacks - not that effective, mostly slow things down rather than reverse anything, hair loss returns as soon as treatment stops, loaded with side effects.

As you say, finding a cure for yourself means nothing to the population at large. It could be that your hair loss was due to a biotin deficiency, leading you to think that baker's yeast cures baldness. Or as philipma1957 has discovered, hair loss can be a side effect of diabetes or prediabetes, and controlling your blood sugar can reverse it. You'll need to run a randomized control trial before anyone will take you seriously.

Propecia should never be taken , it can cause permanent health effects on your body.  Brain damage and permanent erection problems, is it really worth the risk?
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 - Qualifiers! on: March 21, 2019, 02:07:59 PM
People around here don't really care much about EURO, its all about the world cup and champions league.  Just like how Manchester United barely cares about the FA cup, they are only after the league title and champions league.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 21, 2019, 02:04:30 PM
I strongly feel that many players do not care about winning,  They play just to collect their millions and give a half hearted attempt at trying.  I don't really blame them, people are struggling to survive and here you are pulling in millions for throwing a ball at a metal rim.

Not everyone in the league got a max contract, you need to prove yourself first to the management that your talent worth millions of dollars. But, believe me man, once youre in the league you really care about winning, who doesnt? Thats their passion turned into profit, that means winning first before money.
When you start winning, not only the league would offer you millions of dollars, but also from commercials like signing an offers from a shoe brand. Thereafter you need to always give your best not to lose those offer.

I know people that are in the business and are constantly around these professionals.  Some people like Kobe Bryant truly care about winning but many athletes just treat it like a job and are there to do the bare minimum and get paid.
546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hidden gems in the Crypto world! on: March 21, 2019, 01:51:12 PM
I've used kucoin a few times and never had any problems with trading on their exchange.  Another small exchange that I have used is coinexchange.io , they have great customer service and a good selection of coins with decent trading volume.
547  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US dollar backed by oil? What do you think? on: March 21, 2019, 01:40:03 PM
the second video is explaining the petrodollar and the US/Saudi Arabia relationships. The petrodollar conspiracy theory sounds pretty good to me.

Saudi only accepting oil undoubtedly started it, but even if they accepted other currencies now, I don't think it's going to matter too much. The US Dollar has already established itself as the reserve currency, and nearly every country has a huge stockpile of it. It's going to remain the most convenient option even without the petrdollar concept because it's going to remain globally accepted.

This doesn't mean that the USD can't collapse, but rather that it's a strong, liquid currency. Strictly speaking, it's still not backed by anything at the end of the day. Saying it's backed by oil is almost like saying Bitcoin is backed by whales IMO.

Many conspiracy theorists believe Gadaffi was killed because he only wanted to accept gold for Libya's oil.  That would have completely undermined the United States dollar and exposed it as worthless numbers in a computer screen that can be created at will.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about control versus freedom in Bitcoin? on: March 21, 2019, 01:33:55 PM
Whether we want to admit it or not there are groups that have major control over bitcoin.  The majority of hashrate is coming from China, there are only a few asic manufacturers, and most bitcoins are in just a few wallets.
549  Economy / Speculation / Re: This has happened in the past! on: March 20, 2019, 02:09:27 PM
Theres a good chance it will happen again but past results don't always repeat.  The best we can do is study the past data and make an educated guess on what will happen in the future but there are no guarantees.  Bitcoin had an inflation bug that was discovered by a Bitcoin Cash developer luckily.  imagine if something like that happened again but gets exploited heavily.
550  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Volume on: March 20, 2019, 02:03:59 PM
Exchanges have been faking volume, this is a known fact.  Even coinmarketcap isn't right so no one can really get an accurate reading on the real volume.  This is why you should never trust shitcoins that appear to be liquid when in reality they have no true volume to support sell orders.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you like to become a Certified Bitcoin Professional? on: March 20, 2019, 01:57:24 PM
This is a complete scam, no one has the authority to claim someone is a certified bitcoin professional.  If you want a certificate, just create a fake one and put it on your wall if that will somehow lend credibility to yourself.
552  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: mTurk Equivalent but pays satoshi for task! on: March 20, 2019, 01:51:33 PM

The reward for this site must be small but this is much better than mturk imo because mturk is not easy , i mean not all people can register and be accepted on thier site  . i know because i once tried it ,  not only once but a couple of times but no luck im still rejected no matter what i do .  all i can say is that mturk sucks , good thing i found crypto and i discovered this forum   .

Online work is heavily crowded so unless you are extremely gifted it will be difficult to stand out among the crowd.  Everyone wants a job that is super flexible that can be done from home but most people don't have the chance to.
553  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US dollar backed by oil? What do you think? on: March 20, 2019, 01:45:30 PM
The US dollar is backed by the US military.  This is where all their power stems from.  Very few countries if any want to challenge the United States for dominance because of their immense military presence.  This is why president's refuse to cut military spending.

555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 Fantasy esport using Crypto? on: March 20, 2019, 01:28:41 PM
Not enough people are using crypto for this to be possible.  I know bitcoin is often referred to as nerd currency but nobody even owns the stuff out of all the gamers that I know.  Its more of a libertarian thing with people that are against the government or purely speculators.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 19, 2019, 05:29:04 PM
Without Abramovich Chelsea would be nothing. Before he arrived they won nothing. The reason they’re not as good now is that we have the emergence of LFC & Man City. When Chelsea were dominating there was only really Man Utd who were great. Now LFC & Man City have just as much money as Chelsea. Spurs are a good team too, I think Abramovich is bored at Chelsea now too, he doesn’t invest as much money.

I think Abramovic is just waiting for the right time, He'd definitely invest big one any player he deemed worthy, most especially a centre forward, Chelsea have been known to always spend big on CFs although, they've not have a lot of luck on players playing that position. The transfer market these days is filled with overly hyped and overpriced mediocrity which I think is the main reason a lot of teams are holding back.

This is why NBA and other leagues have salary caps.  Football/soccer is a rich man's game and the owners with the deepest pockets see the most results.  Roman obtained his money in very shady ways and he used his wealth to buy the top players around the world.  Some see this is perfectly fine while some say it as taking shortcuts to win trophies instead of developing your own players.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC Dominance will drop to 40%, what will happen? on: March 19, 2019, 05:15:54 PM
40% is still a large share of the market and still shows how dominant bitcoin is.  Altcoins tend to pump a lot harder during bull runs so don't be surprised if bitcoin slowly loses marketshare during this next bullrun.  During the bear bitcoin tends to gain dominance as more people convert to btc for safe holding.
558  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be rich..! on: March 19, 2019, 04:50:44 PM
The truth is many rich people obtain their wealth by evil means.  Pharma companies are poisoning us and pulling in record profits, corrupt military contractors with big government contractors, officials being paid to put people in prison to in crase the slave prison work force, straight corruption stealing money from taxpayers, polluting the environment in the name of profits.  Just because your a rich dude doesn't mean your a good person.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever managed to recover your losses? on: March 19, 2019, 04:40:31 PM
I've found trying to recover your losses is a big mistake.  You just end up in a bigger hole trying to recover.  Its best to set aside a limited budget for gambling and no matter what don't go into your other funds.
560  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: mTurk Equivalent but pays satoshi for task! on: March 19, 2019, 03:29:48 PM
The market just isn't there, most people want fiat money.  They don't want to deal with the volatility and the hassle of having to use an exchange.  Very few places actually accept cryptocurrency as it stands and people have to pay for bills and food.   This will change once it becomes more widely adopted.
