Barcelona have a way of convincing Marcelo Brozovic to agree to join them on a transfer this summer, it's not just about the money. If they afforded to spend big money for Kante, they can do the same or bigger money for Brozovic. Because in the last season, Brozovic performed better than Kante, more appearances, good show in World Cup 2022 and had amazing season with Inter Milan to Champions League final. Playing for Barcelona is a dream for most players, of course not all, but most players will find it difficult to refuse the offer so they will definitely feel a dilemma when two offers come simultaneously.
But it probably is or isn't a dream of Brozovic. We don't know about his dream and he has yet revealed about his dreamed club. Barcelona is a big team and they are a team that has a great history in European football, so even though Barcelona has financial problems some players can also consider it because it's hard to refuse their hearts.
Inter Milan is a big team too and they even played better than Barcelona in the last season. I think it all boils down to your thought that there are people that are in living in the poverty that holds Bitcoin.
If you are poor and in poverty, you have more priorities than invest in Bitcoin. You can not invest in Bitcoin and get rich after one day, it's unrealistic dream. If you understand it, you will use your money to buy food to live first. Hopefully people are in poverty will not unrealistically think that they will get rich after one night with Bitcoin. I very hope so because if they have such belief, they will be invited to Ponzi that only causes them from poor, poverty to suicide. The poor can be benefited from Bitcoin even they don't have money to invest. They can learn and work with jobs in blockchain industry as free lancers. They can receive salary in bitcoin or use their salary to buy food till a day their life is good enough to buy bitcoin. |

With my view as at the time of writing , I think bitcoins will go long way to reduce poverty if they allow it achieve it's purpose.

LOL! this is great  I simulated 25 years and lost 5.000€. Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation.
Fiat currencies are losing their purchasing powers but it has been lasting since appearances of fiat currencies. If our ancestors can live well and even were rich with fiat currencies, we can be the same. You are right to find alternative assets to invest and run away from fiat currency inflation but your choice on what asset to spend capital for it is important. If you choose wrong, you lose money and surely will have worse finance than if simply hold your fiat. I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.

I am this close to making double of my money yesterday when I looked at my Bitcoin wallet, this was the Bitcoin I bought at 17k with two acres of farm lands I sold in 2022, I still feel very happy right now because of my decision, I believe that some risks are worth taking and mine is paying off, some people tried to talk me out of this, if I have keep the lands yes it could grow big in future, but the fastest growth of Bitcoin is far more enticing for me.
Selling something like lands, real estates to buy bitcoin can be good and can be bad. What will you do after you buy bitcoin? Will your plan is holding it like an investment or trading it like a trader? It will decide your ending with profit or loss. If it is investment, how long will you hold it is important. If you can not hold it long enough to get profit, you will get the opposite, loss. I am excited to see how 2024 and 2025 will play out, tell me, is anyone taking such risks with Bitcoin investment? Do you think I went too far selling something as valuable as lands?
If you will have empty hands after selling those properties and only get bitcoin in your hands after that, it's bad. No one can be sure about future and we don't know the future of Bitcoin. We can have belief but you must not bet all with our belief. |

It just evolved though, it was really design as a payment system. But there are individuals who I will say take advantage in the beginning and when bitcoin has a price, then it become a asset.
After 14 years since 2009, with serious losses of fiat currencies' purchasing power and with exponential growth of Bitcoin price, they found that Bitcoin is a good asset. Nowadays, with high trading volume of Bitcoin, they can more easily to buy and sell bitcoins. Price won't be dumped if they sell their bitcoins on the market and there are OTC markets for whales too. Your argument is invalid though, it's not that complicated, there are countries already who uses LN for fast transactions. And there are still merchants who are accepting it as mode of payment but maybe the numbers right now is not that big.

I'm not really sure if it's worth or not because not all people who're organizing event is to adopt and help people to invest in Bitcoin.
We can do many things with Bitcoin and investment in Bitcoin is one of them. We can organize many things to help Bitcoin adoption and not only about Bitcoin investment. Most of people who're organizing event just to promote their projects e.g. centralized exchange, trading bot, wallet, casino that related about money making.
They are doing right things. Building products, bringing more use cases for Bitcoin and they have freedom to promote their projects, businesses and products. If they are building good businesses (not Ponzi, not scam), good products which solve good problems and demand in society, it is good and we should support them. So if you can learn by yourself, it's better to learn Bitcoin by watching few videos and books rather than hoping someone teach you on the event.
